Hi everyone it's GREAT to be back! ^.^ Sadly it looks like I did make you all wait 2 weeks... ^^; But good news is, it wasn't LONGER than 2 weeks :) Well anyway I hope you ALL enjoy the chapter!
Luigi 3rd person POV
"It's been the same thing over and over…..
Boo after Boo…
High Ranked Ghost after High Ranked Ghost…..
Why can't they just bug off….?"
Luigi's patience was certainly wearing thin as he cautiously and exhaustively trudged down the hallway. Even though occasionally the group would come across a normal weak ghost it still didn't take the workload off Luigi. However to Luigi amazement a good 10 minutes went by and not a single ghost appeared. Even better Luigi's heart leapt as he saw a lit room up ahead, picking his pace up Luigi entered the room. Looking around Luigi let out a sigh of relief.
"No need to worry about a ghost sneak attack here in the light, right guys?" He laughed turning to see what his friends had to say.
"Guys….?"
Luigi's smile faded as to his shock Daisy and the others were nowhere in sight. "Daisy…" Luigi gulped, looking around frantically. "Yoshi….Birdo….Peach?" Silence caused Luigi to give a slight shiver.
"N-No first Mario and now my Wife….My FRIENDS…."
Panic began to set in as Luigi realized that he was all alone in this wretched mansion. Luigi suddenly realized something, he hadn't heard a single word from either his wife or his friends long before now. In fact Luigi swore the last time he had heard any of his friends talk to him was when he caught that last Boo and Birdo had been the last one to speak. Luigi was shaken, that had been over 30 minutes ago, HOW had he not noticed that long period of silence.
"No this can't be happening…..HOW could I be SO stupid!"
Luigi shut his eyes tightly and gave a distressed gasp.
"You forget about us Luigi?"
Luigi suddenly jumped and quickly turned around as a familiar voice came from behind him.
"DAISY!" Luigi suddenly gasped relieved and sure enough Daisy stood only a few feet from him. She leaned against the wall and gave him a wink.
"Yeah it's been what 30 minutes?"
"YEeeeah took ya that long to noticed that you were givin' us the silent treatment?"
"We could've up and left the mansion and you'd never notice! Teehee!"
Luigi couldn't help but let out a laugh himself.
"YOSHI! BIRDO! PEACH!" Yoshi was leaning in the entryway, Birdo was leaning up against him, while Peach stood in the right corner of the room. All three of them smiled.
"Yep, we're here Luigi!" Yoshi said nodding. Daisy proceeded to make her way over towards Luigi.
"Yes, we wouldn't leave you behind Sweetie…." She whispered smoothly, Luigi felt a cold sensation go down his spine.
"You 4 really had me worried there!" Luigi laughed nervously as he glanced at each of his friends. All 4 of them smiled even more broadly. "Well I guess we'd better get going again!" Luigi turned around and started to make his way towards the exit, but was surprised to see that Peach was now blocking it.
"But we haven't even had some fun yet….Sweetie…."
Luigi felt that familiar cold sensation run down his spine again, quickly turning around he was startled to find that Daisy was leaning over his shoulder.
"Th-that was kinda creepy Daisy….." Luigi gulped.
"What's so creepy about your wife whisperin' to ya pal?" Yoshi's voice sounded, he and Birdo smiled at each other and both made their way towards Luigi and Daisy.
"Yeah Luigi…." Birdo also chimed in, she put her face up to Yoshi's face. "I whisper to my Yoshi all the time…." Birdo whispered, Yoshi smiled in response. Luigi gulped and took a step back.
"Okay guys….I'm gonna be honest you're Reeeally freaking me out right now…."
"Oh Luigi, Mario has always said you worry WAaay too much for your own good…" Peach's voice suddenly sounded, she still stood in front of the doorway.
"Yeah pal, why don't ya just chill for once in your life…" Yoshi said enthusiastically, Birdo smiled and put her head on Yoshi's shoulder. Luigi stared at Yoshi confused.
"No offense pal, but you're sounding awful cheerful despite our current situation…." Yoshi's smile was immediately wiped from his face, Birdo's smile also vanished.
"What? You'd rather I be unhappy?" Yoshi suddenly snapped. "No….I know what you want…" Yoshi stopped for a moment. Luigi looked around and noticed that Yoshi, Birdo, Peach and even Daisy were slowly closing in on him. "You'd rather I be angry!" Yoshi suddenly yelled furiously, Luigi jumped not expecting Yoshi to suddenly yell.
"Yes, we tried to be cheerful but apparently you don't appreciate that sort of gesture…." Birdo suddenly growled as she followed close to Yoshi.
"Apparently you'd prefer us to be nasty!" Peach snapped immediately after. Daisy followed suit after Peach.
"We thought we were in this together Sweetie…." Daisy whispered furiously, Luigi gulped as Daisy and the others were only several feet away from him, he was surrounded.
"You want nasty…." Yoshi suddenly whispered furiously. Everyone was silent, however all eyes were on Luigi.
"WELL YOU GOT IT!"
Before Luigi could even blink everyone including Daisy pulled their Poltergust 5,001s out.
"This can't be happening…."
Luigi looked around at his friends frantically, he was totally outnumbered. Even if he did manage to take one of them out, more than likely he'd be taken out by the other 3.… And besides Luigi couldn't bring himself to attack his friends, let alone his own WIFE! Luigi stared at each of his friends, who to his confusion hadn't made a move to strike yet. Yoshi stared at Luigi with an insane smirk on his face. Birdo and Peach shared the same look of uncontrollable giddiness. While Daisy stared Luigi down like a hawk awaiting an air strike, all these hateful stares sent uncontrollable chills down Luigi's spine.
"You ready for a blast Baby Luigi?"
Luigi's heart suddenly stopped. He swore that those very words had come from Daisy's mouth, yet the voice didn't match. It sounded male, high-pitched but male. Luigi gave his full attention to Daisy, he stared her down for what seemed like minutes.
"This isn't going to be like those other times….."
The same voice from before whispered from Daisy's mouth, Luigi gripped his Poltergust 5,000 tightly, one hundred percent sure now.
"This is all…
This is all….
This isn't real!"
Luigi suddenly turned his flashlight on and pointed it at Daisy. A familiar screech echoed in the room and suddenly the entire room was engulfed in a bright light. Luigi shielded his eyes as the lighting returned back to normal. As Luigi removed his hands from his face, he was met with a shocking sight. Daisy and the others no longer stood in front of Luigi instead 3 Boos had taken Yoshi, Birdo and Peach's places. However that's not what caught Luigi's attention. Several feet away from him, Yoshi was backed up against the wall a single Boo hovered only inches in front of him, Yoshi's shoulder had slight bruising. Birdo was laying on the floor, while another single Boo held an old cane against her chest. Peach was sitting on the floor near a hat stand, while a Boo was directly in her face. And finally Luigi looked towards the exit, to his shock Daisy laid on the ground, her arm obviously bleeding. A broken lamp laid shattered in pieces next to her and hovering only inches from her was a Boo.
"DAISY! ARE YOU ALRIGHT!" Luigi suddenly called, completely forgetting about the 3 Boos in front of him. For a moment there was complete silence. Daisy, in fact the other 3 suddenly blinked as if freed from a trance. All 4 of them jumped startled as they seemed to notice the Boos that they were face to face with.
"BOOS!"
Daisy and the other 3 shouted obviously angry but also afraid.
"This was ALL just an illusion!" Luigi suddenly shouted also angry. All 7 Boos gave amused laughs as the room suddenly grew darker.
"But of course….It was SOoo much more fun seeing you fools trying to fight each other!"
A familiar voice cackled from above. Luigi was the first to look up and was met with a familiar sight.
"AH If it isn't my old pal, BABY Luigi! *Laugh*"
Despite his anger Luigi actually began to shiver slightly from fear.
"K-King Boo!" He stuttered struggling to keep his voice steady.
"The ONE and ONLY! *laugh* It's been years since our last little encounter hasn't it?"
"HOW MANY TIMES DOES LUIGI HAVE TO SEND YOUR BUTT PACKING YOU GHOSTLY PAIN IN THE NECK!"
Silence lingered in the room for several seconds as everyone looked in Daisy's direction. Despite the fact that her arm was still bleeding Daisy was firmly gripping her Poltergust 5,001 tightly, her finger on the flashlight function. King Boo didn't seem amused.
"Well a bit of a loud mouth aren't you?" King Boo said coolly. Instantly Daisy held her Poltergust 5,001 and pointed it in King Boo's direction. King Boo let out a laugh that traveled through the room. "That measly vacuum cleaner is of NO threat to me you simpleton!"
"You WANNA BET!" Daisy snapped in retaliation, despite knowing the Boo's words held truth.
"HEH HEH HEH! You amuse me!"
King Boo laughed, only driving Daisy's anger further. King Boo glanced over at the remaining friends as well.
"In fact you ALL amuse me! *laugh* Watching you fight my minions thinking they were ACTUALLY your friends!"
Shivers of anger swept through each of the friends. King Boo glanced over at Yoshi.
"YOU taking that ridiculous hit from your "Wife" When in actuality you just foolishly ran into that dresser!"
Yoshi clenched his teeth fiercely as he glared at King Boo before semi-consciously grabbing his bruised shoulder. King Boo then averted his attention to Peach.
"YOU allowing yourself to be hit in the back by a simple hat stand!"
Peach's face tightened as she reluctantly looked over to see another hat stand laying on the ground only several feet from her. Birdo tightened as King Boo's glance moved on to her.
"*Laugh* YOU had me very amused *laugh* Watching your pathetic display after your "husband" outsmarted you!"
Yoshi quickly looked over at Birdo, she looked like she was on the verge of crying, however hatred was still very apparent in her eyes.
"Then you try to appease him with such a pathetic excuse! Like my minion CARES about your pathetic brat!"
"MY SHELLY IS NOT PATHETIC!"
Birdo suddenly yelled, causing everyone to jump, even King Boo fell silent. At this point Birdo was in tears, Yoshi immediately turned towards King Boo and took a threatening step towards him. This only caused King Boo to laugh, this caused Yoshi to let out a growl and he charged at King Boo. However not even a few feet and Yoshi was suddenly knocked to the ground. Yoshi let out a growl as King Boo's laughter suddenly erupted.
"YOU FOOLS REALLY DO AMUSE ME! *laugh*"
Birdo, Peach, Daisy and Luigi glanced at Yoshi before giving their attention back to King Boo.
"THIS BATTLE is between my pal Luigi and ME! Like I'd waste my time on you simpletons! MY marvelous jeweled crown will keep you from interrupting our little chat!"
Birdo suddenly ran over to Yoshi to help him up, Yoshi simply let out a huff and a growl of anger. Peach and Daisy, ESPECIALLY Daisy glared fiercely at King Boo.
"Now I believe I was speaking….Before I so rudely interrupted….."
King Boo shot a glare at Birdo before glaring at Yoshi as well. King Boo turned towards Luigi and smirked.
"You should've seen the pathetic display your Wife made! Running into that nightstand over there and falling on a lamp! *laugh* Thinking her "Bestest Friend" was trying to drop a chandelier on her! TALK ABOUT COMICAL!"
Daisy could only let out a snarl as she slammed her fist against yet ANOTHER invisible barrier. Luigi let out a growl, causing King Boo to smirk at him.
"Oh don't worry I won't deny your friends the laugh of YOUR ridiculous display! *laugh*"
King Boo paused for a moment, probably to see if he was going to get another reaction out of Luigi, however Luigi, in fact no one made a sound.
"Probably the most amusing of ALL *laugh* Shaking like a leaf as he offended his Best Friends, causing them to turn against him!"
"ENOUGH! ARE YOU GONNA BLAB ALL DAY OR ARE YOU ACTUALLY GONNA DO SOMETHING OF IMPORTANCE!"
Everyone was startled as the voices of both Luigi and Daisy caused King Boo to fall silent.
"If you're done blabbing I've got my Bro to save, a Star to find and your BUTT to KICK!" Luigi snapped his face red with anger. Daisy and the others cheered in agreement. Amusement no longer lingered on King Boo's face, a rare look of anger now replaced it.
"Your Brother? … *laugh* Well WHY didn't you say so?"
A sudden flash of light appeared and out of nowhere a sight all too familiar to Luigi appeared.
"MARIO!"
Peach's voice suddenly cried, as the recognizable face of her husband was visible through an obvious portrait. Luigi let out a groan, at the familiar situation.
"He's safe and sound! *Laugh* JUST like old times!"
"BUST HIS SORRY BUTT LUIGI!"
Yoshi's voice suddenly shouted, Birdo, Daisy and Peach let out cheers of agreement.
"These fools are starting to annoy me….. BUT WHY KEEP THE FUN WAITING! LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!"
Without warning the whole mansion began to shake and rumble. Luigi began to slightly tremble with fear. King Boo suddenly grew quadruple his usual size.
"PREPARE YOURSELF BABY LUIGI! *laugh* THIS IS NO ILLUSION!"
With that final word King Boo suddenly conjured several spiked spheres and chucked them in Luigi's direction. Despite being caught off guard Luigi was easily able to dodge the attack. Remembering his past battles with the Boo Luigi suddenly turned his Poltergust 5,000 on and pointed it at one of the spiked spheres. As planned the sphere was drawn towards the Poltergust 5,000's nozzle. Giving a nervous smile Luigi suddenly reversed the suction and the sphere was hurled into the massive Boo's face.
"GO LUIGI!"
Daisy, Yoshi, Birdo and Peach cheered. King Boo shot a nasty look at them as he suddenly shrank down to double his usual size.
"YOU SHOW HIM WHO'S THE BOSS SWEETIE!"
Daisy cheered giving her husband a reassuring nod. The room suddenly grew darker, however the room was lit by a bright red light coming from King Boo's crown.
"I THINK I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THESE INTERRUPTIONS!"
A smirk was suddenly etched on King Boo's face.
"MY MARIO PORTRAIT LOOKS SOooo LONELY RIGHT NOW, IT NEEDS SOME COMPANY! *laugh*"
Before Luigi could react, all 4 of his friends suddenly gave cries of shock as the bright red light engulfed them.
"N-NO! DAISY! PEACH! YOSHI! BIRDO!"
Luigi whimpered as the light died down and 4 portraits now took the places of where his friends had just stood.
"NOW IT'S JUST YOU AND ME BABY LUIGI! *laugh*"
Well looks like the "culprit" has FINALLY been identified, although a lot of you probably already knew King Boo was going to show up eventually :) Also I apologize if this chapter had upped creepiness...PARTICULARLY one "scene" near the beginning of the chapter... *shiver* But this IS in a haunted mansion RIGHT? So creepiness should've been expected :D
