"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. Chapter 33: Age of Revolution (PART 1)

(Alternate titles: Valeria Richards: Most Dangerous Woman Alive, Graduation, Team Amazing's contingency plans. Revolutionary War, Love: The Most Dangerous Driving Force, Valeria's Last Stand.)

-Alchemax: Underground lab-

"So what's wrong with her?" Talon questioned with a frown as her team looked at the bound form of a muttering Sylvia.

"She's a young woman named Sylvia Prell whom was infected with the Carrion Virus." Spider-Man explained with a sigh. "She is a woman of Inhuman decent; a few months ago she was just a normal college student until she came here to interview me for a project." Spider-Man said as he shook his head. "I was studying the effects Parker Particles might have on Terrigen Crystals in the main lab when she got to close to it and next thing I know she's turned into a being a golden electricity."

WHAT TIME IS IT!? LIAG BREAK DOWN SPECIES EDITION!: Inhumans

At the beginning of the Kree-Skrull War, millions of years ago in Earth time, the alien Kree established a station on the planet Uranus, a strategic position between the Kree and Skrull empires. Through their work at this station, they discovered that sentient life on nearby Earth had genetic potential invested in it by the alien Celestials. Intrigued, the Kree began to experiment on Earth's then primitive Homo sapiens, inspired from studying a dead Eternal.

Their goal was apparently twofold — to investigate possible ways of circumventing their own evolutionary stagnation, and to create a powerful mutant race of soldiers for use against the Skrulls. However, although their experiments were successful in creating a strain of humanity with extraordinary abilities, the Kree abandoned their experiment for reasons which are not yet clear

Their test subjects, the Inhumans, went on to form a society of their own, which thrived in seclusion from the rest of humanity and developed advanced technology. Experiments with the mutagenic Terrigen Mist gave them various powers, but also caused lasting genetic damage and deformities. This led to a long-term selective breeding program to try to mitigate the effects of these mutations. Their city Attilan has frequently been relocated and, as of 2005 stories, rests in the oxygen-bearing Blue Area of the Moon

BREAKDOWN: END.

"She looks pretty human right now." Chun-Li pointed out making Spider-Man nod his head.

"Yeah I designed this cell so that any power she lets off will be redirected and used to power her cell. You see she was obviously scared at her transformation and had no control." Spider-Man stated as he turned to the fighter. "She can merge with any technology she comes in contact with, so imagine what happened when she accidentally merged with our resident A.I.?" Talon looked at him in shock as Chun-Li and Magik seemed to understand what he was getting at. "Robyn is an extremely powerful A.I., the knowledge she contains drove the poor woman into insanity. She nearly killed May and Andy before I managed to bring her down."

"Damn, well I don't think I know any techniques that could restore psyche-what's that?" Chun-Li questioned when alarms began to ring throughout the building.

"It can't be…" Spider-Man muttered as he ran to a nearby computer. "Someone is trying to hack her cell but who?"

["That would be me human."] A robotic voice rung throughout the building. Spider-Man shook his head slightly in disbelief when Ultron appeared on his screen. ["You've done a good job in attempting to keep me away from this planet by flooding my database with you earthlings disgusting mating habits, but it could not hold me forever."]

"What?" Spider-Man questioned in confusion before remembering that Robyn was keeping a rogue AI busy with internet porn. "What the hell Robyn? THIS is who you were holding back? I thought you said it was a low level threat!"

"[It was low level to me, Mr. Spider-Man.]" Robyn said sheepishly from the intercom.

"[Now, I need that woman for my plans so it's time for you to be eradicated.]" Ultron said as Silvia began to shine brightly in a golden light.

"Crap he's freeing her, the energy released will kill us all-"Spider-Man stopped as he glanced at a skeptical Talon. "Well most of us." Spider-Man said as he began to type away frantically, however the hero was too late. With a roar Silvia ripped free from her constraints and held her head in agony as her body became pure electricity. A flash of Gold light was the last thing Team Amazing saw before falling into an unwelcomed darkness.

"[No!]" Robyn shouted in horror as Ultron laughed.

"[Now, my plan can begin.]"

-Later that Night: Andy's house-

Andy, May, and Sakura were all sitting on his couch and watching some replays of the tournament when suddenly the program was interrupted with breaking news.

["A shocking turn of events in today's news, The U.S along with the rest of the world's leading countries has declared war against any non-human on the planet. A-any…oh my God." The reporter said looking horrified as tears filled her eyes. "Any non-human is to be executed on sight."]

"Dear God." Andy whispered in horror as he turned to a paralyzed May who couldn't believe what she had just heard.

"What the hell? That doesn't make any sense!" May said angrily. "Tensions between the species have actually been lessening why would they pull some shit like this?"

"I don't know but you better believe I'll stop it myself if I have to." Andy said firmly. "As long as I have this power, no one is touching you or your family." Andy promised as Sakura suddenly placed a hand over her heart with a frown. "What's wrong?"

"I…I don't know." Sakura said truthfully. "It was like I felt a large weight shift, the atmosphere feels…oppressive. Something is definitely wrong I never felt something like this before." May was going to respond when the unthinkable happened.

Andy vanished in a green flash.

"Andy!?" May shouted at his sudden disappearance.

"Could he always teleport?" Sakura questioned as she leapt up from the couch in alarm.

"Hell no-"May was cut off as her body suddenly disappeared in a crimson flash.

"[Oh God what the hell is going on?]" Sakura said to herself as she looked around at her surroundings apprehensively. The oppressive atmosphere was suddenly filled with a peak of killing intent when a wave a purple chi blew down Andy's front door. Sakura felt the color drain from her face as she came face to face with a smirking Juri Han.

"So you're the one China-girl was telling me about. The unknown prodigy." Juri said as she watched in amusement as Sakura quickly slid into fighting stance that was identical to Ryu. "Hmph, not a bad stance no openings at all. A good amount of latent power and even more natural talent than myself, but despite this your innocence holds you back." Juri finished her assessment of the younger woman as her eyes narrowed when she saw a bead of sweat slide down Sakura's face. "I'm going to enjoy breaking you and turning you into a true warrior."

"W-what do you want?" Sakura asked as she mentally cursed herself for stuttering. Juri simply laughed at the question and gave Sakura a slightly less sadistic smile.

"To train you of course! A war is coming and I have two days to make you one of the deadliest people on the planet." Juri informed Sakura who gave her a look of complete perplexity. "Normally something like that would involve selling your soul to the devil, unfortunately for you; you'll have to give yours to me."

"Like hell I'll train under you, you sociopath!" Sakura shouted angrily.

"If you don't I'll just kill you now." Juri stated simply and the look in her eyes told Sakura that she was not kidding.

"[Just what the hell is going on in the world?]" Sakura wondered in confusion.

-Horizon Labs: Basement-

With the scientists all distracted by the sudden news of a government issued Genocide, no one was paying attention to what was going on deep down in the subsectors of Horizon labs. The sealed door to the future began to light up once again and released a hum that echoed throughout the room. Slowly it began to open, revealing a bright tunnel of pure light which illuminated the dark basement. After a few moments a silhouette of a woman became visible and in no time a blonde blue eyed woman stepped from the door way and stretched her arms. If one saw her they would immediately assume that she was a younger clone of Susan Storm. She was wearing a black pants suit with matching black heels.

"Hmph, Imbeciles forgot that a door had two sides. These are supposedly some of the smartest individuals? Pathetic." The woman muttered as she glanced around the lab impassively before checking the watch on her wrist. A cold smirk graced her lips as she looked up and began to walk away from the doorway which began to power down. "Time to revolutionize the world. It is almost saddening how easy this is going to be." With that last remark the woman began to whistle a small tune as she strolled out of the room, intent on changing the world with her mind alone.

-Meanwhile: Emora-

"The leaders agreed to genocide? What the hell Mary Jane you can't honestly tell me you agreed to that! They'll be hunting your daughter!" Natasha said incredulously as Silver and Crimson Viper looked at Mary Jane in shock.

"I did but don't worry I have a plan." MJ began as she stood up from her throne. "As you know there was a summit earlier today. It was completely unscheduled and when I noticed that Jubilee wasn't there I knew something was up." MJ began with a frown. "They talked about global peace once and for all and for a while I was actually interested and even added my own thoughts…it was then that they said that 'Peace' couldn't happen with so many non-humans threatening humanity with their unnatural powers."

"So they said the peace was for humans only and you accepted?" Silver asked as her eyes narrowed at the woman.

"Let me finish!" MJ demanded with a glare of her own. "I thought it was the dumbest thing I ever heard but minus Shuri, they all agreed and even stated that Nations who were against them were against Earth as a whole and threatened war." MJ explained as she shook her head. "For obvious reasons Shuri and I objected, I mean May's my daughter and Storm is her sister in law! Still we couldn't risk so many lives being taken in a pointless war." MJ said with a sigh. "We accepted but we both came up with a plan to keep our nations both safe and out of the coming genocide."

(LIAG Mini-Breakdown: Shuri is a female Black and younger sister of T'Challa. She is also Queen of Wakanda.)

"And what's that?" Crimson Viper asked curious to see what MJ and Shuri had come up with.

"We become fugitives." MJ said simply as her expression hardened. "We defect and become the main targets of our respective countries. This way whoever takes our place can focus on "apprehending" us and not participate in this damn hunt. This will also keep us from being targets of war until we can figure out how to stop this." The three women stared at MJ in shock as the empress walked forward and placed a hand on Natasha's shoulder. "You're the most experienced person here when it comes to war, from now on you are High-Empress."

"This is insane, you expect me to hunt you down like a dog?" Natasha questioned angrily.

"I'm expecting you to do what's necessary." MJ explained calmly thought there was a hint of steel in her voice. "This is the only way to minimize Emoran casualties while allowing me to help May."

"So what's going to happen to the soldiers I send after you?" Natasha questioned making MJ sigh.

"I'm not going to lie I'll do my best to knock them out or something, but if it comes down to them or May I will Kill them if I have to." MJ said honestly. "It's better that I kill a couple than have hundreds if not thousands or more die in a pointless war."

"That's true." Silver said with a small frown. She knew that if Symkaria was still a separate nation she'd be right alongside MJ and Shuri. Natasha looked between Silver and MJ in disbelief and even noticed what look like a grim acceptance on Viper's face before shaking her head with a sad sigh.

"Where will you even go? Never mind I know you can't tell me." Natasha said with a humorless smile. "I suppose I may be showing my age a bit here, but you really have grown MJ. You're stronger than I could have imagined and I don't mean physically."

"That's means a lot Natasha, it really does." MJ stated as she looked between the three women. "I know this might sound cheesy but I consider you all my family, you're the sisters I always wanted but never had."

"Right back at you, now enough with the mushy stuff. Knock us out already so we can have a valid reason to hunt you down." Viper said with a sad smile. MJ nodded her head, no longer trusting her voice, before giving all three of them a simple flick to their forehead which knocked them out cold.

"I'll have to head to the UK and meet up Shuri; Faiza has been forming a rebellion to overthrow the country. If we can take over enough countries we may be able to bring an end to this. This mission is going to be suicide at best, but I just have no other choice." MJ thought as an image of May flashed through her mind. "Do it for her MJ, damn it Peter where the hell are you?"

-Utopia-

"Damn it Logan! You can't keep me locked up in this country, I have to go out and-"

"And what?" Logan interrupted a furious Carol with a growl. "The entire world is hunting down anyone who isn't one hundred percent human and last I checked you're part Kree and your brat's even less human than you!" Logan said as he matched his friend's glare. "I got an alert from Robyn earlier that the Web-head and Laura got themselves blown out of this dimension with their team and no one knows when they'll be back. I know it isn't what you want but let's face facts you simply aren't battle ready. Eventually we'll be attacked but at least here you'll have a fighting chance and can escape should the need arise." Carol glared at him further wanting nothing more than to blow him apart but deep down she knew her friend was right. She couldn't risk getting her child hurt or even worse and knew that she'd have to sit this one out.

"Damn it."

"Glad we understand each other." Logan said gruffly as he began to walk away. "Now I have to go prep a bunch of innocent kids for war. Ultron is responsible for what happened to Web-head and the world suddenly wants genocide, I'm not the smartest man but even an old fool like me knows better than to think those events have nothing to do with each other."

"Logan." Carol called out making the feral pause. "Thank you."

"Don't worry about it, just stay out of the fighting."

-Meanwhile: With Hope-

"Well I'll be damned Xavier was wrong after all." Hope muttered as she turned to Cyclops. "Since the older you is dead, I guess I'll apologize to you."

"So what now? This is worse than anything I've ever imagined. Before it was just persecution but this…this is genocide." Scott said quietly as he realized how terrible things were about to become.

"I help our people do what Cable trained me to do." Hope said as she picked up a large gun and began walking away.

"And what's that?"

"Survive." Hope answered truthfully making him frown in frustration.

"And while we're attempting to survive what's going to happen to the mutants not on Utopia?" Scott questioned making her pause. He felt a small chill go up his spine as she smiled to herself.

"Oh I wouldn't worry about them." Hope said vaguely just as Rachel stepped into the room with a frown.

"Hope, come with me." Rachel ordered with an extremely serious expression.

"What's wrong?" Hope asked with a frown.

"It's time we finished your training."

-New York: Shadowland-

BGM: Back That Ass Up-Juvenile

What was once the headquarters for the criminal mastermind Kingpin was now still a headquarters but also doubled as the main Nightclub for DP corp. After the incident with her brother, Kiden found herself hiring Deadpool and his band of mercenaries more and more until the point they just decided to enter a partnership. It was a simple agreement Kiden gets them money, and Wade stabs people for her. All in all the simple contract which was actually written up on a Starbucks napkin proved to be extremely successful in making both of them the most powerful individuals in the criminal underworld.

Currently we can find Kiden sitting back on a black couch in the back of the club with Emma Frost and young woman that appeared to be Kiden's age that had black hair with white bangs. Kiden seemed to be in a one-sided argument with Emma as a stripper danced on their table.

"I'm telling you it was not a bad investment." Kiden said with a sigh as if she were explaining something complicated to a mere toddler. Emma gritted her teeth as she heard the younger woman's tone and glared at her.

"Oh please, the only reason you even got them was because you and Wade were high." Emma said angrily. "You should be more focused on what to do with the mutants we're protecting with the genocide going on." Kiden was going to reply when the entrance was suddenly blown open making all the dancers pause. A small group of about twenty armed soldiers quickly stormed the area, all aiming guns at the three mutants.

"Hands up where we can see them, tell us where you are harboring the mutants and I can assure you that you will have a fair trial." The apparent leader commanded loudly. The women glanced at each other before raising their hands.

"How exactly can we be given a fair trial on whether or not were mutants?" Emma asked skeptically.

"I never said you'd win the trial." The man countered with a grin.

"And what's stopping me from just killing you all?" Kiden just had to ask. Her eyes narrowed when a light chuckle echoed throughout the room as the soldiers parted to let a young man walk towards them. He had black hair, blue sunglasses, and a red t-shirt

"That would be me." The young man said with a smirk, making Emma glare at him in pure rage.

"Kade Kilgore." Emma muttered making Kiden look at her with a raised eyebrow.

"…Who?" Kiden asked helplessly and for some reason her response seemed to make the young man angry.

"He's the current Black King of the Hellfire club; don't let his young appearance fool you. He's an extremely intelligent monster." Emma said with a hint of warning lacing her voice.

"You see Ms. Nixon; I've been studying you for a while." Kade began with a smirk. "Your growing presence within the criminal underworld has begun to interfere with my own business ventures. So I've developed something special just for you." Kade said as he gestured around the club. "I've surrounded this entire establishment with a field solely dedicated to stopping your powers. Right now you are just a human and completely at my mercy."

"Is that right?" Kiden asked as she tilted her head. "You've gone through all of this trouble and here I am completely uninterested in your existence." Kiden drawled as she sat back and placed her legs on the table. "You must be good if you got hired by the government to attempt to take me down." Kiden's eyes narrowed as she stared at the young man. "You have one chance, leave before you get yourself killed brat."

"What are you doing?" Emma whispered harshly making Kiden give her a lazy smile.

"Relaxing." Kiden answered with a chuckle making the black and white haired woman shake her head.

"The arrogance you have. I don't think you understand, you're not in control here I am." Kade said with a frown.

"Please I know your type, you're all the same. Rich, arrogant, didn't get enough hugs from daddy. You think because you've managed to gain something akin to power that you can take on someone blatantly more powerful than you but because of your arrogance you overlooked some key factors in this little game you're playing right now." Kiden said simply and even had the nerve to close her eyes and get even more comfortable on the couch.

"I've overlooked some factors?" Kade repeated skeptically before laughing. "Please you're just a foolish little girl playing a grown man's game. You were born with a particularly powerful mutation and think you can take on the world, sorry but without it you're nothing but I'll humor you. What have I forgotten? It's not like Ms. Frost here can do anything without her telepathy." Kiden chuckled to herself as she raised her right index finger and opened her right eye.

"One, possibly the biggest factor is you forgot my understudy, Eva Bell." Kiden drawled before glancing at the black and white haired woman. "Eva."

"On it." Eva said as her bright blue eyes shone with a bright intensity as a blue sphere engulfed the soldiers and Kade.

"And just like that the tables have turned." Kiden said as Kade found himself unable to move as Kiden stood up and walked to the end of the sphere and gazed at him coldly. "No access to my powers and I managed to take you and your thugs out in a random encounter, this is what real power is." Kiden said simply. "It's a dog eat dog world we live in, and only the strongest survive. I wonder how you feel right now, unable to move-to talk-but hear everything and know your death is coming." Kiden said coolly. "You won't even be able to look away."

"What do you want me to do now?" Eva asked with a strong Australian accent.

"Isn't it obvious? Factor number two will finish these idiots off." Kiden said before releasing a loud whistle. Suddenly every stripper grabbed a gun and aimed down at the frozen men. "Stripper assassins! Ha, take them out." Those would be the last words Kade would ever hear as gunshots rung throughout the club. "See Emma, never question my investments!"

"Unbelievable." Emma said quietly as she looked as if something had blown up in front of her. She had just been patronizing the younger blonde for a seemingly useless investment that just took out one of mutant-kinds' biggest threats.

"Hey you, go find out where that field he put up is and shoot some lead into in to." Kiden said to one of the dancers. "And will someone please clean up these bodies?"

"Stripper assassins." Emma repeated as she rubbed her temples feeling a migraine coming on. Kiden chuckled at her mentor as she began to call Deadpool on her cellphone.

BGM: END

-Minutes later with Deadpool-

"Told you it was a good investment! Alright we'll meet up later." Deadpool said as he hung up the phone and looked around the room at his band of mercenaries. "Alright guys we have a mission, we have to end this genocide. I don't care what you have to do to get it done but do it!"

"So basically go out and kick some ass?" Dante questioned with a cocky smirk. "Well alright we can handle that."

"Speak for yourself brother; I do not want to be bothered with these humans' affairs." Vergil said impassively as he began to leave the room.

"Seriously?" Nero asked in shock.

"That's Vergil for you." Trish muttered as Lady nodded her head. Dante said nothing but smirked slightly just as his brother placed a hand on the door knob.

"That's funny. You know seeing how there still no telling how long we'll be in this world and because of our old man I doubt we'll be seen as 'human'." Dante said making Vergil look at him impatiently.

"Get to the point."

"I mean yeah we can take care of ourselves, but Nero is still kind of green. He can make a mistake and BAM dead right there." Dante said with a smirk. Nero looked at him with a glare obviously not liking his skills being downplayed but before he could say anything Vergil was suddenly right back with the group with Yamato unsheathed and gripped tightly in his hand.

"So what do you suggest be our plan of attack brother?" Vergil questioned suddenly seeming very interested in this upcoming battle. Trish and Lady couldn't help but gape at the stoic son of Sparda's change in attitude.

-The Next Day: FF Building-

To say the members of the Fantastic four were unhappy would be a great understatement. Many of the children in their care were not human, in fact their only son was a mutant, and in a few more years their daughter might end up being one as well.

"I don't like this one bit Reed." Johnny muttered with a glare. "We have to figure out a way to end this before the kids get hurt. You know they're coming for us were probably the main targets. We need to start getting ready for a fight."

"You're correct about that, however, we need to find a way to do this nonviolently-"Mr. Fantastic was caught off as a sudden flare erupted from Johnny's body before dispersing.

"-We no longer can afford that! Can't you see damn it!?" Johnny shouted with flames literally coming from his eyes. "First they'll go after the younger kids we're talking care of. When their done with them they'll go after Franklin and Val, with her brains and his strength they'll last a long time but they're still kids and while that goes on they'll come after us!"

"Johnny you gotta calm down." Ben said firmly. "We ain't gonna let that happen, side's they're not coming after us four because we got our powers from an accident."

"You say that but look they're going for a full blown purge and Sue is proof that even though our powers came from an accident they may have caused us to have mutant offspring." Johnny said seriously making Sue grimace. "Listen Mr. Fantastic, get your shit together because I guarantee you that if it comes down between my blood or them I'm turning them into ash. You might not care about your kids-"

"Johnny! You must understand that I love Valeria and Franklin more than anything. You care for Valeria and Franklin, I understand that, but I am their father-you can't possibly think you have any idea how I feel!" Reed argued back.

"Or maybe he does." Sue spoke up as her gaze landed on her younger brother and narrowed slightly. "Johnny, I know you, there's something you're not telling us. Besides the obvious something is really bothering you." Johnny glared at her for a moment before averting his eyes. Sue's gaze softened as she placed a hand on his shoulder. Johnny quickly tried to calm down when he saw her wince from his temperature "Johnny you can tell me anything, you know that right? Why are you so on edge? Hell you're melting the floor!"

"It's nothing and quit looking at me like that, I'm not a kid anymore Sue. I am a grown ass man." Johnny said coolly as he shrugged off her hand and began to walk out of the room. "I just don't agree with Reed's parenting skills that's all." Johnny said before leaving the room. The three remaining members stood in a solemn silence before Sue released a long sigh and began to leave.

"Don't take what he's saying to seriously Reed, he's just taking this hard we all know you're doing your best." Sue said reassuringly before following after her brother.

"Cheer up Reed, like she said, you're doing your best." Ben said when Reed began to pace.

"That's what I'm afraid of." Reed said seriously. "My best may not be good enough this time; in fact it may not have been good enough before. My "best" in my marriage obviously didn't work nor my "Best" with my children. It's beginning to look like my "best" won't be enough here either."

"Reed don't do this to yourself-"

"No I'm right and you know it." Reed said with a sigh. "Earlier when we were going over the current situation, did you notice what both of them said?"

"Wasn't much for them to say." Ben said in confusion. "We all saw the report besides talking about that, they just said how the web-head went missing."

"Exactly." Reed confirmed as he looked up at Ben. "They tried contacting Spider-Man but couldn't, he was who they contacted first. Why? Because he's better at this kind of thing than I am, he even defeated Death with less than two days of preparation. Unfortunately, he's not here so it's up to me and my best just might not be enough this time." It was then that Reed figured out what he needed to do. "Dear God, I think I just figured out what I need to do." Reed said as he quickly grabbed a pen and paper and began to sketch a blueprint for a new device.

"What are you doing Reed?" Ben asked in confusion as his friends moment of self-loathing suddenly ended.

"Sometimes the best thing to do when reaching an unconquerable obstacle is to simply admit you can't overcome it." Reed said as he wrote frantically. "I'm going to find Spider-Man."

-With Johnny-

Johnny sat on the edge of the building's roof with a frown and glared up at the sky.

"So, where is she?" Johnny grimaced slightly when he heard his sister's question and glanced to the side to see her sit down next to him.

"I don't know what you are talking about."

"Cut the crap Johnny." Sue said with a sigh as she looked up at the sky with him. "Where's Megan?"

"Want the truth?" Johnny asked rhetorically before giving her a bitter smile. "I don't even know. I gave her some money and she vanished, she said she was used to it." Johnny said as he placed a hand on his chest. "It hurt, damn did it hurt, but it was for the best." Johnny said as he smile vanished. "It was for the best." Johnny repeated as if he had no doubt what he said was a genuine fact.

"Please tell me she isn't…" Sue trailed off, voice hesitant, making Johnny close his eyes in pain, he wasn't stupid he knew his sister figured out the situation.

"Yup, found out last night," Johnny said making her gasp. "It was so fucked up. She was scared to tell me and when she finally did…I was so damn happy…hell we even started making plans but then that damned news report interrupted her mid-sentence and I knew at that moment…I was the unluckiest man in the world. I wasn't stupid, the government knew her connection to Laura, they knew our powers were potentially genetic, and I knew we'd be a target anyway even if the first two things weren't true."

"Johnny…" Sue whispered as she looked at his defeated yet determined expression. It finally dawned on her that her arrogant little brother had truly grown up.

"You and the kids, you're all I have left. You're the only thing I have left to lose, and I'll be damned if I let anyone take you all away from me. Even if I have to fight the entire country, no the world, by myself." Johnny said seriously and she could tell by the look in his eyes that he meant it. Even if he died trying, he was going to do it.

"It's a good thing you won't have to be by yourself then." A voice spoke up and they turned around to see Nick fury Jr. Standing behind them with his arms behind his back.

"Fury?" Johnny questioned as he suddenly leapt up and erupted into fire as Sue quickly took a defensive stance.

"Calm down, we're on the same side."

"That's a lie; you work for the same government that's going to attack us!" Johnny said angrily making Fury shake his head.

"No, personally I believe SHIELD works for what is best for the planet. We shouldn't be eradicating the new species but rather adapting to live with them-that will create the best results. As of this moment, SHIELD exists solely to stop this war, and I do believe that's something we both want." Nick Fury said calmly.

"And if we refuse?" Johnny questioned making the man raise an eyebrow.

"Personally I believe that's a stupid ass decision, but I understand you're not willing to trust SHIELD." Nick said with a shrug. "But maybe you're willing to trust the current director of SHIELD?"

"Aren't you the current director?" Sue asked in confusion.

"This will not be a quick war; this war could potentially last decades and will be the bloodiest one period. The entire planet will be on the brink of extinction; this war is so bad that years from now the next Director had to come back in time to attempt to help us." Nick said seriously making them look at him incredulously as the sound of clacking hills rung throughout the roof. "Susan Storm, Johnny Storm, allow me to introduce you to the current head of SHIELD." Nick said as he stepped to the side, revealing a woman that looked nearly identical to Sue.

"W-what?" Johnny asked as the woman who had an uncanny resemblance to Sue looked at them in amusement as she placed a hand on her hip. Sue said nothing as the womans amused but iron gaze landed on them.

"Director Valeria Richards." Nick finished as a cold smirk graced the woman's lips.

"Normally it would be good to see you both alive again, but to be quite honest it would have been better to see you both without the 'alive again' added." Valeria said matter-of-factly before her gaze hardened as her smirk vanished. "Let me just put it this way, if left alone billions will die at the hands of imbeciles and ignorance. I personally hope to cut that number down to millions and at my hands. Yes, it is still going to be bloody, but it will be the most favorable outcome." Valeria said as the SHIELD helicarrior removed its cloak and appeared above the building. "You have forty-five minutes to get in that aircraft before the army blows up the building, please use them wisely." Valeria stated simply before walking away.

-With Team Amazing-

"Lost? What do you mean lost!? I thought you had this teleporting thing down to an art!" Chun-Li shouted angrily at Spider-Man

"I do but something is screwing with my powers, last time this happened I wandered aimlessly until I got it under control but now that control is shot." Spider-Man said as he groaned. "There's no telling how long it'll be before we get back."

"Spider-Man, before we left there were rumors of another world war starting. What if they were true? What would happen if we weren't there?" Talon asked with a frown making Spider-Man sigh.

"I understand your frustration but remember that this isn't my fault it was a knee-jerk reaction to prevent us from dying. You may be immortal but we can still die and I couldn't really be selective at the moment of detonation." Spidey explained making Talon slump her shoulders as she heard the logic in his words.

"Sorry it's just, let's face it since we formed this team we have literally been the deciding factor in every world-ending threat that has popped up."

"Please don't remind me." Chun-Li muttered with an eye twitch.

"Wow that's kind of weird when you look at it from an outside perspective." Magik pointed out making Chun-Li snort.

"Outside? You were screwing us over for at least two of them." The fighter muttered making Magik looked away. She knew they forgave her but she still hadn't forgiven herself for her actions against her mistress.

"The world can survive without us." Spider-Man pointed out. "I mean I was hardly a deciding factor before this."

"Defeated Firelord, became good friends with Beyonder, wielded the power cosmic, wielded the Phoenix Force, a key factor in Civil War, and saved the Avengers from Thanos with the Thing." Talon listed off as she stared at him with half-lidded eyes. "Do I really need to keep going?"

"Okay so I had my moments…" Spider-Man trailed off. "Still did you forget what your school was built for? If we're gone they're my contingency plan."

"You realize that the "top ten" aren't ready yet for this kind of threat, right?" Talon questioned with a frown.

"You can just let me worry about that." Spider-Man said ominously as Chun-Li groaned.

"Spider-Man, you're talking like an omnipotent douche again." Chun-Li stated making the man cough nervously.

"Sorry, sorry what I mean is I found some people willing to help them reach their maximum potential in an emergency." Spider-Man amended making them nod, suddenly Chun-Li paused and paled.

"[Oh…shit.]" The fighter muttered in horror.

"What's wrong?" Talon asked with a frown.

"I just remembered Juri and I were going to train Sakura because her potential is unrivaled, but I told her that we would start when I felt she was ready…problem is Juri was getting impatient so I told her if anything happened to me she could handle it." Chun-Li muttered as a bead of sweat slid down her face.

"Wait, wouldn't she be able to feel if you suddenly vanished?" Spider-Man asked with a visible frown.

"Yup."

"Oh…well damn."

"It can't be that bad, right?" Magik asked with a frown.

"You need to understand Sakura is a girl who managed to emulate Ryu's fighting style, access her own chi, and is even able to perform a Hadouken and control its size….without any formal training. She literally just looked at Ryu and taught herself." Chun-Li said with a slight shudder.

"That sociopath will turn her into the next Akuma." Talon stated before coughing and glancing at Chun-Li and Spider-Man awkwardly. "No offense." The feral was aware of her teammates'…complex relationship with the insane fighter.

"No, you're right she's bat-shit insane." Chun-Li and Spider-Man said in perfect unison.

"You're also wrong about the Akuma thing; if it's Sakura being trained by the current Juri…it'll be much…much…worse." Chun-Li added.

"Yeah it'll be like a berserk Asur-"

"I swear to God Spider-Man if you make a reference to that game I will kick your ass right now." Chun-Li stated with a glare.

"Never mind." Spider-Man said though Talon was able to finish his statement.

-Hell-

"[I'll have to thank Chun-Li for introducing me to Wukong later.]" Juri thought as she looked down at the bleeding form of Sakura impassively. "[Get. Up.]"

"[What's the point!? I can't win!]" Sakura said as tears of pain filled her eyes. Juri said nothing as she placed her foot on top of her head and began to grind the young woman's face into the burning brimstone.

"[Let me tell you something, if you lose I'll kill you. If you give up, I'll kill you.]" Juri began as the younger woman looked up at her in horror. "[Winning is literally the only way you are going to get away from this alive and see your precious Ryu again.]"

"[But you're too strong!]" Sakura shouted angrily. She knew Juri was dangerous but after coming to this world the woman made Akuma look like Dan.

"[Winning isn't decided by who can throw the strongest punch but rather by who can take it.]" Juri said as she clenched her fist and raised it to eyes level. "The reason you can't beat me is because you are weak. However, master your fighting style and you will be able to fight me.]"

"[You expect me to become a master of a style I learned from second hand knowledge and with a few pointers from Ryu? Not only that but one of the most dangerous styles period!? That's impossible!]" Sakura shouted making a vicious grin grace Juri's lips.

"[You'll find that within the last few moments of one's life…humans have a tendency to do the impossible.]" Juri said nonchalantly. "[That's why I am being completely serious when I say, I will kill you. Now get up and fight.]"

"[You're a monster.]"

"[Soon, you will be too.]"

-At the Edge of the Universe-

"W-what is that?" Andy asked to himself as he found himself staring at what looked like a colossal neon green storm cloud. It was countless times larger than earth and completely blocked his view.

"Universal expansion." An all too familiar voice spoke up. Andy froze and slowly turned around to come face to face with a smiling Chrissy. Green eyes mixed with green as a myriad of emotions raced across the young man's face. His eyes widened slightly when he realized that she wasn't just a bright green cloud of Parker particles this time. "It looks like its unmoving but in reality it's racing forward at millions upon millions of miles per second. The power in that cloud cannot be fathomed."

"You brought me here."

It wasn't a question.

"I did."

"Why?" Andy asked in confusion.

"Because it's time for you to graduate." Chrissy said with a smile. "I can't tell you how proud of you I am. You brought so much glory to a mantle that I made." Chrissy said with unparalleled gratitude filling her voice. "I've guided you since my death as you grew into a hero, watching you as but a ghost of my former self but today the universe has used its power to grant me a body. Andy…you must destroy this body."

"W-what?" Andy asked horrified.

"The universe lives within me and you." Chrissy began with a smile. "You have impressed it far more than I have and it no longer requires my company…Andy you are the key to my salvation, let me rest in peace."

"You can't seriously be asking me to kill you!" Andy shouted incredulously.

"I no longer serve a purpose; it's time for me to move on. One day when you die and whoever you choose to take your place matures, you'll understand." Chrissy said knowingly.

"I refuse to kill you." Andy said as he turned around only to be blocked by a green wall.

"So you'd rather I live as a ghost doomed to watch over others find happiness for all eternity?" Chrissy asked calmly making him flinch. "Or would you rather switch places with me?" Chrissy asked making him turn to her hesitantly. "That can be arranged but wait you have people precious to you don't you? People you want to grow old with?" Chrissy continued as an image of May flashed through his mind. "The only outcome from this fight will be one of us returning to Earth and the other dying."

"You're…you're serious about this aren't you?" Andy asked quietly as he slammed his foot into the force field and shattered it. "I'd never forgive myself if I hurt you…"

"But…?"Chrissy drawled with a knowing smile as he turned around to face her as tears cascaded down his face.

[Will you be my girlfriend May Parker?]

Andy trembled as his words echoed through his head.

-Flashback-

"You can't be serious if your dad finds out, which he will, he'll kill both of us!" Andy shouted as his new girlfriend who randomly decided to press the fast forward button on their relationship.

"How do you think I feel? I wouldn't even ask this off you if there was another choice but I need my power!" May shouted back as her eyes glistened. Her cheeks burned red as she averted her eyes. "There just isn't another choice...I know this is going fast but we don't have the luxury of taking our time with these kinds of things. You know how dangerous our lives are we could die whenever the world decides to end again…please… I know I'm ranting at this point, nervous habit I got from dad but what I'm trying to say is if it's going to be anyone I want it to be you because…I...I love you." May finished her nervous rant as her heart pounded in her chest.

"May…" Andy said with wide eyes as he stepped forward before giving her a weak smile. "If this gets me killed I swear to God I'm going to haunt you."

-Flashback: End-

"The thought of hurting her…the thought of leaving May…" Andy began as he placed a hand on his chest over his heart. "I know this sounds awful, but it hurts so much more. I…I can't die today." Chrissy said nothing before giving him a genuine grin.

"Then we're in agreement." Chrissy said as she began to float backwards into the large cloud confusing Andy greatly. "Though our power is great we are just mere particles when compared to the universe. Your one and only goal is to defeat me, to destroy my body and become the one and only Alpha. Never forget about those important to you, always protect them and keep that as your highest priority as your power grows." Chrissy said as her body disappeared.

"Holy…" Andy whispered as a bright green hand that seemed large enough to hold an entire galaxy within its palm appeared from the cloud followed by an extremely large Chrissy that was made of pure green energy.

"DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY!"

Andy knew at that moment, that he may never have a fight harder than what was to come ever in his life. He just hoped that May would be okay until he could get back to her.

-With May-

May looked around in complete confusion as she awoke to find herself in the middle of a field of weapons.

"Where the hell am I?"

"My battlefield." A heavenly voice spoke up and May turned to see an incredibly beautiful blonde woman with bright blue eyes smiling at her. "I brought you here daughter of Jane, to prepare you for what is to come. I am Scathach goddess of battle."

"Wait, you're the one who's preventing my parents from being together?" May questioned with narrowed eyes as she stood up making the goddess sigh sadly.

"An unfortunate contract, but a necessary one." Scathach stated solemnly. "As long as your mother is my champion her lineage falls in my domain and is thus guaranteed my protection."

"I could have sworn this spider on my chest meant I was under my dad's." May said carefully making the woman nod.

"Yes but unfortunately he cannot help you at the moment. So I shall take his place. As long as you have the blood of the warrior in your veins you will find an ally in me."

"The blood of the warrior?" May asked in confusion

"Your hair is the indicator. I bless those who have potential at birth by staining their hair with my blood."

"So you're telling me you knew my mom would be strong even before she found Sonja's sword!?" May asked incredulously.

"I too was shocked to say the least." Scathach murmured. "Centuries passed after Sonja's passing and I had failed to find even a single child with potential…and then your mother was born. I was confused when I found her as nothing gave any signs she was my next champion, she was born to a pathetic family and never gave a single inclination towards fighting. Then something happened."

"What?" May asked curiously as she stored the bit about the pathetic family away for later. Strangely enough her mother never did talk about her side of the family; to be honest May was honestly starting to think her mom was an orphan.

"She met your father and I knew it was fate." Scathach said as she thought about how surprised she was to run into Anansi again after centuries apart. "She was by no stretch of the imagination the most powerful of my champions physically, but emotionally she was unrivaled. Throughout their relationship she overcame ordeals that would have even broken Sonja."

"And with that in mind you gave her Sonja didn't you?" May interrupted making Scathach blink owlishly at her. The goddess couldn't help but marvel slightly at how sharp the child before her was. "Sonja failed emotionally and my mom failed physically, put them together and you had your perfect warrior especially since neither of them were lacking mentally."

"Correct and now thanks to that plan, I now have an entire bloodline of future champions to pick from. Never again will I have to search, you are all destined for greatness." Scathach smiled making May shake her head and the slightly diabolical plan. "Now there is a war you must participate in, I have brought you here so you can learn control."

"Control?" May echoed perplexed.

"Your unity is powerful but your control is weak. When you faced down your mother you couldn't even move properly due to the influx of strength. When it's time for you to go back to the mortal realm, you will have mastery over your unity." Scathach explained with a gentle smile. "Now come attack me, you may use any weapon at your disposal."

"Uhh…are…are you sure?" May asked weakly, the woman before her radiated nothing but kindness and just seemed far too innocent for her to just stab.

"Oh yes, please come stab me." Scathach said serenely. May just stood there awkwardly as the goddess continued to smile and glance around the battlefield. May slowly began to walks towards her unsure of what to do. Scathach picked a small flower from the ground and smelled it as she waited for the younger woman. "What a lovely day." The goddess said with a content sigh making May trip and fall forward. "Is there something wrong? You're not hurt are you?" Scathach asked visible concern.

"Oh come on! I can't just attack you! Can't you fight back or something!?" May asked frantically. The goddess pounded her fist into her hand as a look of realization crossed her face.

"How rude of me! Of course you would want a regular fight, and here I am not participating at all." Scathach said as a tear slid down her cheek. ""*Sniff* I just wanted to give you a handicap, please forgive me for not taking your feelings into consideration!" Scathach said as she rose to her feet and began doing a few incredibly basic stretches that made May look at her in disbelief.

"Is…is this going to be okay? It's like fighting a puppy." May thought as the goddess began doing lunges with an overly-serious face. "Uhh…"

"Okay let's get ready! I won't go easy on you!" Scathach warned as she pulled her hair backcausing a small golden ring to materialize around it so that her hair was in a ponytail. "Don't worry, I'm just a bit stronger than your mother, it has been awhile since I've fought so go easy on me."

"R-right…" May trailed off not really believing the woman who gave off no killing intent whatsoever, hell her spider-sense didn't even tingle. Scathach shrugged off the top of her robe, revealing her chest to be wrapped in a crimson bandage as her midriff was completely exposed.

"Grr…"Scathach grunted as her bright blue eyes began to bleed red as a red aura engulfed her body as her hair flew up behind her from the release of energy. May watched in morbid fascination as the woman's muscles tightened while her hair bled red.

-SPIDER-SENSE: WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!? RUNNNNNNN!-

Scathach closed her eyes and snapped her fingers and within in moments hundreds of great swords fell from the sky.

"Sorry for the wait." Scathach murmured as she gazed at May with narrowed eyes, making the teen step back in terror.

[May if your opponent knows absolutely everything about you and sits down when you fight, that means they're either bluffing or will absolutely-pardon my language- fuck you up.]

May's head felt like it would explode as her father's word's rung throughout her head. She paused when the goddess disappeared and slowly glanced back to see Scathach standing behind her with her fist one inch away from the teen's head. May gulped as Scathach glared down at her with a single crimson eye.

"One-inch punch." The goddess of battle said as her fist suddenly slammed into May's head.

*KRACKABOOOOOOOOM!*

Pain.

That's all May could feel as she found herself sailing through the sky. How she wasn't dead, she'd never know. Scathach glanced down at the blood that was now on her fist and grinned viciously as she licked it off. Yes…it had been entirely too long since she had a fight. Fighting for her was better than sex for the Great Weaver or Venus.

"Oh…this is going to be great." Scathach muttered as she looked up at May who finally recovered in mid-air and began to fall back to the ground. Picking up a nearby great sword, the goddess threw it at May, but before it could even get a foot away from her, Scathach flipped forward and stood on the flat of the blade and rode it towards May like a surf board.

"HOW THE HELL!?" May questioned in horror as she saw the blatant fuck you to physics.

"AHAHAHAHA!"

-Later: SHIELD helicarrior-

A much older Valeria looked down at the FF building impassively as it was bombarded with explosives while the cloaked air craft flew away. Luckily everyone was safe, even Reed who had barely finished his device to track Spider-Man.

"Finished it in twenty minutes as expected of father he is much too slow." The woman thought with a small frown as she turned around to face Sue, Johnny, Reed, Tony, Hank Pym, Nick, and Stephen Strange. "Fury, I thought I said to bring the greatest minds here."

"I did." Fury said with a confused frown. "Sue and Johnny tagged along because they wanted to know if they could help."

"Maybe later." Valeria said as she glanced at her mother and uncle. "But where is my counterpart, she needs to be here as well."

"She-you're-this is going to get annoying fast." Sue muttered. "Our Valeria is only five!"

"She is also the second smartest individual on this damned ship at the moment." Valeria stated simply.

"Excuse me but that's a bit of a bold claim." Hank spoke up as he turned to her awkwardly. Valeria simply raised a hand to silence him without even looking in his direction.

"Fool, this entire thing is your fault. I cannot even comprehend where you found the audacity to even speak up without being told to." Valeria said coolly. "That was your first strike, do not test me again." Valeria warned as she narrowed her eyes slightly at Sue. "Your intentions are pure, but she is necessary in ending this, now please go fetch her."

"What!? My fault-"

"Strike two Mr. Pym, I will explain when she gets here. Now please mother, get her she may just be the one that saves you all." Valeria said making Sue frown before reluctantly nodding her head as she realized too much was at stake. She raised her daughter well, or at least she hoped she did, the woman before he knew what she was doing. Sue left for a few minutes and eventually returned with a very confused Valeria. The little girl's eyes widened when she saw her older counterpart before quickly schooling her expression.

"The world must have really gone to hell for you to come here." The little girl said without hesitation making the adults look at her in shock as her counterpart smirked. "What? I always wondered how I would look when I grow up and she meets all my expectations except…what happened to your left eye?"

"What are you talking about Val?" Johnny asked as he looked at his older niece. All he saw ere two blue eyes shining in amusement.

"The left one is darker; it has a hint of violet in it." The little girl explained making the older woman chuckle.

"Not bad, it was lost in the upcoming war. Word of advice never underestimate how far someone can reach with a knife." The woman said making the little girl pale slightly as she nodded her head. "Now let me explain, from this moment all you will refer to me as simply the Director to prevent any confusion now that my counterpart is joining us." The Director explained. "Now do not get me wrong, humanity is an awful species filled with idiots but it is not completely our fault that this is going on." The Director revealed making them look at her in confusion. "The imbeciles in charge of our people can't even agree on trade prices, if you think they can suddenly gain enough understanding to find a common goal like genocide you're an idiot."

"Skrulls?" Valeria asked suddenly making the adults once again look at her in confusion,

"Good guess but wrong." The Director smiled.

"Mind keeping us in the conversation?" Tony asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Apologies, Valeria is correct in assuming that the leaders have been replaced but it is not another skrull attack." The Director informed them. "This is being orchestrated by Ultron, who is disguising his Ultronbots as the world leaders."

"But that means that this entire thing is his fault." Valeria said bluntly as she pointed at a horrified Hank. "Wouldn't that mean that in the end Humanity is responsible for this war?"

"Ninety-five percent, we still have to account for the fact that Ultron has some responsibility of his own actions." The Director pointed out. "Anyway we're going to nip this situation in the bud so to speak. Six decades passed before Team Amazing finally returned to put an end to the war, they are the deciding factors if you will. Father has a device that can track Spider-Man's trail as he struggles to find his way back to our Earth problem is he lacks the power to actually teleport." The Director explained.

"So that's where Sr. Strange comes in." Valeria said making the Director chuckle.

"Close, Stephen's power is vast but limited. He will simply take father to Olympus where Zoe will accompany him on his journey. Her powers are more than enough to track down Spider-Man and his comrades. Father should start doing this ASAP." The Director said before a small silence filled the room. The woman sighed before turning to Reed and Stephen. "That was your cue to go." The Director explained making them blink for a moment.

"But-"

"Now father, every moment you waste someone else dies." The Director said as she made a shooing motion with her hand. The Sorcerer Supreme grabbed Mr. Fantastic by his shoulders.

"She's right we must make haste if team Amazing truly is the key to stopping this." Stephen said making Reed nod. Soon they both teleported and the Director turned to Hank and Tony.

"You." The Director began as she pointed to Hank. "Stay the hell out of my way. Go find a corner and stay there, the sole reason I have you here is so you won't accidentally get in my way trying to help."

"Now listen here, I understand that this is my fault but you cannot treat me like a criminal here!" Hank said, finally having enough of the woman's attitude. "I can help-"

"Strike three." The Director interrupted as she formed devil horns with her outstretched hand causing a single tentacle-like cord to fire from her sleeve and hit the man in his chest. A powerful current of electricity ripped through his body before he slumped over unconscious. The woman smirked as the cord quickly retracted. "Put him in a cell Nick, we truly can't afford him to act on his own. Have some telepaths keep him out cold so he can't break out." Fury simply nodded his head in understand, this was war and they could not risk liabilities.

"Huh, so my taser design works." Valeria muttered as her mother looked down at her in shock.

"Why in the world were you making a Taser?" Sue couldn't help but ask.

"For situations like that." Valeria stated bluntly as she pointed at the downed Hank. The Director watched as Fury dragged the man out before turning to Tony.

"I'm not getting it next am I?" Tony joked though he was looking at her carefully.

"I have a top priority assignment for you, this may be the single most challenging thing you have ever done." The director said with a no nonsense tone making Tony sober is his expression. "Its success completely depends on pure unadulterated luck; I need to know now if you are up for the task."

"Of course." Tony said seriously making her nod.

"Pepper Potts, she is on this Aircraft correct?" The Director questioned making Tony narrow his eyes before he nodded.

"Yeah I left her with Rhodey; though when I left he seemed to be more interested in speaking to some other woman I haven't met before." Tony explained and he wasn't sure but he could swear the woman seemed pleased to hear what his best friend was doing.

"Excellent. Then this is your assignment, the fate of the world may rest on you pulling this off." The Director said as she studied him for a moment. "Anthony Stark, you must go forth and procreate."

"Alright I'll do my best-wait what!?" Tony asked in shock as Johnny began coughing loudly ell even Sue and Valeria gaped at her.

"I know I may be asking a lot but you must believe me when I say this is for the fate of the world." The Director said honestly. "We have a room prepared for you two."

"Is…is this how Spidey feels!?" Tony wondered in shock as it looked as if the woman was being completely and utterly serious. He often made fun of the situations Spider-Man found himself in and now it looked like karma was going to bite him in the ass. He had no problem with getting laid, being a father on the other hand…"C-Can I ask why!?"

"Of course." The Director said as she nodded her head. "There is only one person who has ever matched and challenged my intelligence and that is Iron Man 3030, also known as Rhodey Stark-your granddaughter. If it's her…then I know my plan will succeed."

"Wait I'm not ready to be a father!" Tony said in disbelief.

"So help me God, I will strap you down to a bed and force feed you Viagra and Ecstasy if I have to." The Director said as her hand began to make an all too familiar gesture. "Do not test me; billions of lives are at stake. I was being nice but you will go down there, you will take Pepper to that room, and you will have intercourse until you can't feel your legs anymore if that's what it takes!" The Director bit out as she stepped forward with a glare. Tony was going to attempt to refuse when suddenly he found himself unable to speak as he stared at the womans eyes.

Tony decided at that moment that karma was one hell of a bitch

Elsewhere Zoe had the sudden urge to say bitch please.

"Can't believe this." Tony muttered as he walked out of the room.

"Sorry you two had to see that." The Director said with a small smile. "Would you both mind making sure he didn't lie to me? I'll find you when I need your help." Johnny went to leave but Sue looked unsure.

"It's okay mother, she is me after all I will be okay." Valeria said with a smile making Sue pause before leaving the room after Johnny. As soon as the door closed, her smile fell. "We are alone now, what do you want?" Valeria asked with a frown making the Director smirk.

"Well I'll be I really did scowl a lot when I was a child." The Director murmured as she sat down at a nearby table and motioned Valeria to take a seat. "I'll be blunt you are my plan B. Should I fall you need to be able to stand up and take my place and end this pitiful war." The Director said simply. "There exists one difference between you and me excluding our ages and intelligence."

"And what is that?" Valeria questioned with a frown.

"Innocence." The Director stated. "It is a beautiful thing that only children can have, unfortunately this is war and the world is a terrible place."

"I already know that, I thought you of all people would realize that I am a step ahead of all that. My body is young but my mind is not." Valeria stated firmly as the Director gave her a look of pity.

"One would think that, but I am afraid that you have just proven my point." The Director said simply. "The fact that you cannot accept your own immaturity proves you still have much to learn before you could ever hope to take my place." The Director explained. "I will never lie to you, I am going to systematically destroy your innocence. I will be your mentor in teaching you how this world really works; the strong control the weak but the smartest control the strong."

"Destroy my innocence?" Valeria repeated. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

"If I told you right now that if you killed Franklin, you could save the lives of fifty million people would you do it? After all he may be strong but he'd never be on guard around his little sister." The Director said as Valeria looked at her in shock. "Tell me, can you do it?"

"I...I…"

"Your hesitance speaks volumes." The Director said calmly. "When I'm through with you, you will know the answer to that question."

"Are you telling me I have to kill my brother!?" Valeria asked incredulously.

"Not at all, for you that was a purely hypothetical situation. I plan on stopping this war before it reaches that point." The Director explained.

"Are you telling me that you killed Franklin? Why?" Valeria asked with something akin to horror. She was terrible at showing it but she loved her big brother deeply.

"He was captured and brain washed by Purifiers. He was a threat to everyone so I put him down like the dog he became." The Director said with no remorse at all. "I'm here to stop a war that I have already lived through, anything I could possibly lose I already have."

"You didn't lose your life obviously." Valeria stated as she narrowed her eyes, she was becoming increasingly aware that the woman before her was more dangerous than she had thought. The Director simply rolled up her right sleeve and presented her wrist to the girl. Valeria looked down and could see that it was covered with wounds that seemed to have come from some sort of blade.

"Not because of a lack of trying I assure you." The Director drawled shocking the girl. "In many ways I have already died which is the reason I will be able to go through with everything I plan to. I have nothing to lose, but much to gain. I am telling you now, I am going to kill millions to save billions and you will be at the forefront of it all."

"If I refuse?" Valeria dared to ask only to get a smile from her counterpart.

"Then I will kill you right now so I don't have to live through this war." The Director said simply. "I will be doing us both a favor then." And damn it Valeria could tell that the woman meant it.

"Then I don't have a choice."

"Do not underestimate free will, humans always have a choice some are just more favorable than others." The Director stated impassively. "Saying you don't have a choice is a coping mechanism used to rationalize your actions."

"Fine I will be clearer, I will follow you because living is more favorable then dying." Valeria said making the Director smile.

"Again your words betray your innocence, but that will be fixed soon." The Director said before leaning back in her seat. "Right now humanity is on the offensive while every other species are trying to remain inactive that will do us no good. We need to get all of the species to band together to combat Ultron."

"How do we do that?" Valeria asked with a frown

"By making that insufferable robot a common target." The Director answered simply. "We give them a reason to fight Ultron."

"You're going to frame him aren't you?" It wasn't a question.

"Shifting responsibility sounds much less crass." The Director said with a knowing smile. "Glad to know our thought patterns are more similar than I realized." The Director said as she stood up. "I will call you when I need you."

"Wait."

"Hmm?"

"No one else caught it, or at least they didn't have a chance to comment. You spoke of something that happens six decades from now…how old are you?"

"Sixty-five, I hoped you'd be able to do basic math, maybe I need to rethink my plans." The Director said humorously.

"Hilarious. Now how do you not look a day over twenty-four?" Valeria asked making the Director glance back over her shoulder.

"Like I said no secrets, I took the super soldier serum. It slowed my aging."

"I thought it was lost, you found more?"

"I made more." The Director replied with a cold smirk. "Desperation and genius lead to miracles."

"Well you just know everything." Valeria said sarcastically getting a small laugh in response.

"No one can know everything, but I am the closest anyone has come before." Valeria replied as she left the room. When the woman left Valeria placed her face in her hands as her body began to tremble

"Just what the hell have I become?"

Valeria was sure, much to her horror, that the answer was coming soon.

-New York: Abandoned Building-

Daken paced the floor angrily as the sounds of rain and screaming echoed from the outside as soldiers stormed down the streets on their hunt. It was a normal day and Daken had decided to visit Sarah only to find her bound and gagged in Team Amazing's apartment. Safe to say he quickly took care of her captors and ran off with the woman.

"Me I understand, but you? Why would they want you?" Daken questioned as he turned to a wet and shaking Sarah who was busy trying to warm up by an impromptu fire the feral had made in a trash can.

"M-Maybe their t-trying to recreate weapon X?" The woman questioned curiously. It still confused them that the government found out she was alive. She was using a fake identity after all. "No, that doesn't make any sense; they want to purge mutants…m-maybe they want to trap L-Laura, wherever she is?" Sarah asked as she shivered.

"That may be it." Daken said before pausing.

"W-what's wrong?"

"Shh." Daken silenced her as he quickly dragged her off into the shadows of the building. He watched with narrowed eyes as her watched a group of soldiers fill the room. Daken narrowed his eyes as his claws slowly slid out. "Stay here-"

"No." Sarah whispered back as she glanced at his claws and unconsciously felt where Laura had stabbed her on her chest before grabbing his wrist. "I've seen enough death." Sarah said quietly. "Let's go."

"But-"

"Please." Sarah pleaded making him stare at her for a moment before his claws slowly retracted.

"Fine, let's go there's a rear exit a few meters to our left." Daken muttered as he walking away, he'd never admit it but the proud look the woman gave him would be burned in his memory. "I'm getting soft."

Now if only he could figure out why that didn't bother him.

-The Next Evening: United Kingdom-

Mary Jane frowned as she stood in a forest with a cloaked Faiza and Shuri who was wearing her Black Panther costume.

"I've only managed to gather a thousand men and women, do you think that will be enough to overthrow this country?" Faiza questioned with a frown as MJ shook her head.

"By themselves, no, but we even it out tremendously." Mary Jane said as she crossed her arms. "I can do it myself but we need them to participate in order to raise morale. I can't have them depend solely on me or the strain might be too much."

"Strain?" Shuri asked in confusion. MJ nodded as she placed a hand over her heart.

"This armor doesn't run on darkness or light anymore; it is using my very will to live. It puts a strain on my heart and lessening the burden of this war no matter how small can go a long way." MJ explained. "I could honestly fight myself into an early grave."

"Then why use it at all? That gem of yours should be more than enough." Faiza said with a frown.

"Yes but I can only go all out with the Witchblade. It works as the ultimate shield; it can block things like stray bullets or explosives by itself allowing me to focus purely on fighting. Make no mistake; a bullet to the head can kill me." MJ told them seriously. "We start here since this is where Faiza has the most influence. We can then move onward to France and then slowly start working on this continent."

"Afterwards I suggest we move towards Africa before trying to take on Asia." Shuri said seriously. "It will be less challenging and once we can secure my country again we can come back to deal with Asia."

"What about Australia?" Faiza questioned making MJ shake her head.

"I'll leave that to you, we need to do this fast as possible so you should be able to take some of the forces and deal with them while Shuri and I go to South America. When we're done there we will work our way up and meet you again in Mexico. All three of us can lead the final attack on America and bring an end to this."

"Why save them for last?" Shuri questioned in confusion.

"Because I'm sure that whatever started this Armageddon is there, more accurately the orchestrator of this mess is probably in New York." MJ said making them blink.

"What makes you so sure about that?" Faiza wondered making the red-head look at them as if they had gone insane.

"Because this is the same crap over and over when stuff likes this goes down it's nearly always something in New York." MJ said in exasperation and they did actually see where the red-head was coming from. "The only places we probably won't touch are Antarctica which will just waste time and Canada because nothing bad ever happens in Canada." MJ joked making the women shake their heads.

"That's assuming we can take over Europe at all." Faiza said before shaking her head. "Not going to lie I am kind of nervous to deal with Russia."

"Read up on the Winter War in World War two, Finland is what's scaring the crap out of me." MJ deadpanned and they couldn't tell if she was serious or not. "Thank God it isn't Winter-wait." MJ suddenly stopped with a frown.

"What's wrong?" Shuri asked only for the red-head to narrow her eyes and pull out her vibranium blade. Her power gem pulsed as she gritted her teeth before slinging the weapon towards a nearby tree.

*CRASH*

*SHING*

*BOOOOOOM!*

Faiza and Shuri had to shield their eyes as a group of trees were completely decimated. The three quickly ran over to where MJ had thrown their weapon and their eyes widened at what they saw. A man was cut in half and looked as though he were gasping for breath however there was no blood or guts, instead there were sparking wired coming from his mid-section and slowly his flesh disappeared revealing him to have been an Ultronbot.

"I think we have proof that something else is going on here other than ignorance." MJ murmured as Shuri frowned at the corpse.

"An Ultronbot?" The Wakandian Queen questioned rhetorically. "Damn, Ultron must be the one behind this."

"They can camouflage, do you think he may have impersonated more people?" Faiza asked MJ who began to walk away.

"I think we can bet on that and something tells me some very important people have been taken over." MJ muttered with a glare as her eyes bled red slightly. "Ultron." MJ said as if she were testing the name. "I do believe I've found my first real enemy."

Faiza shook her head as the woman before looking at Shuri in confusion as she noticed that the Black Panther hadn't stopped looking at the robot.

"What's wrong?"

"An Ultronbot's hardness is second only to adamantium." Shuri said as her hand trembled slightly. "She cut right through it like nothing." Shuri said before bending over and picking up MJ's shattered sword. "Enough force to shatter vibranium and this robots body, amazing."

"Well she does have a limitless amount of strength." Faiza pointed out making Shuri shake her head.

"No that's not what's concerning. She was able to gauge how much force she needed, whether or not there was a threat, and whether the threat was even human in an instant." Shuri said as she turned to face Faiza. "That's what amazes me."

"Were about to attempt world domination." Faiza said before chuckling. "A lot of people have tried before but I can't shake the feeling that if it's her…she can pull it off. She can inspire hope in anyone it's like she was born for this, but before this tournament she was a model…what in the world is she?"

"No idea. Just glad she's on our side."

-Meanwhile: With Spider-Man-

"Where the fuck are we!?" Spider-Man shouted angrily as he and his team mates found themselves lost on another planet. Right now they found themselves in the alley of what Spider-Man would guess was Tokyo.

"Tch. Ridiculous." Talon muttered with a glare as Chun-Li began cursing in Chinese.

"Calm down guys, we'll be back soon we've been gone for like what two days? What's the worst that could happen?" Magik asked with a raised eyebrow making them turn to her in horror.

"Damn it Magik!" Spider-Man bit out making her look at him surprise.

"We need to get the fuck back, now." Chun-Li said with a no nonsense tone. However she suddenly tensed as she felt something strange coming from the planet. "Wait a second…there is a strong amount of Chi on this word…it feels familiar…" Chun-Li muttered before her eyes widened in realization. "I…I think I'm home." Chun-Li said faintly making her team turn to her in shock.

"So this your Earth." Talon said to herself.

"Do you want to stay?" Spider-Man asked carefully confusing the Chinese woman. "You might not get this chance again, if we teleport from this world now there is no coming back with my current level of control." Spider-Man new a day like this going to come eventually and as much as he loved his team mate he knew that it was up to her and if Chun-Li wanted to be happy in her own world he wasn't going to be the one to stop her. Chun-Li stared at him with a frown for a while before a small smirk graces her lips.

"What are you talking about? I know this won't be the last chance because we're going all the way in this tournament." Chun-Li said as if it were a fact. "I've been through too much crap to take the easy way out now. My friends are still stranded on your world and I refuse to leave them. I refuse to leave you." The last part went unspoken as the fighter crossed her arms. "Besides we both know that you all would have been dead a long time ago without me. We may be called Team Amazing but we both know I run this." Chun-Li joked making Spider-Man smile behind his mask.

"Then let's go." Spider-Man said making Chun-Li shake her head.

"Not yet, if Juri knew I was here and didn't settle a certain score she'd probably kill me in my sleep." Chun-Li muttered as a serious expression suddenly appeared on her face. "It won't take long I, just want to pay an old…friend a visit."

"We're about to commit a murder aren't we?" Magik deadpanned as she saw Chun-Li's expression on her mistress' face far too often to ever misunderstand it.

*SNICKT*

"Looks like it." Talon drawled, she knew Chun-Li wanted revenge and seeing everything the woman had done for her and Spider-Man since they first formed the team, the feral knew it was time to pay Chun-Li back.

Miles away Bison felt a chill go down his spine.

-The Next morning: Genosha-

"I hate this job." Jubilee realized as she sat boredly on her thrown while she found herself being yelled at by one of her subordinates. She wanted nothing more than to go out and find out what the hell had happened to her mate but she knew she had a duty to her people. If she left Lilith in charge…she shuddered as she thought of all the vampires that probably would have ended up dead and of course the vampires were still weary of Blade's loyalty. So she now found herself mentally counting down from one-hundred to prevent herself from killing everyone in the room.

"For once we're innocent! You may be our queen but I'll be damned if I get killed because of your views!" Alyssa shouted for once no longer scared of her ruler.

"Enough." Lilith hissed coldly only for Jubilee to raise her hand.

"She's right." Jubilee said quieting the room of shouting Sect leaders. "We're innocent, our people are innocent. They want a war, fine; they have no idea what the hell they've awakened. Humanities' reign ends now." Jubilee said as she stood up making Blade glare at her as he placed a hand on his katana. "Pull that sword out and it will be your head that rolls Blade. Today two young vampires that I personally embraced to save their lives were executed…publically. I'm tired of seeing the people I care about publically executed by damn humans!" Jubilee shouted in rage.

"She's right blade, the humans are the villains this time. You've been living with us for a year and you know we have to defend ourselves." Lilith said quietly as Jubilee's wings ripped free.

"The moment a single one of their soldiers even comes close to this nation, we will end them." Jubilee said coldly as the vampires cheered. Suddenly a strange scent entered Jubilee's nose and she glanced back to see that Lilith smelt it as well.

BGM: The Last Round- Vampire Masquerade

"Go." Jubilee ordered as she walked past the daughter of Dracula and towards her thrown.

"With pleasure." Lilith said with a smile before disappearing in a blur of speed.

-Outskirts of Genosha-

"Why on earth are we walking through a country of Vampires without any backup?" Valeria asked angrily.

"Simple out of all the species they will be the easiest to get on our side. Besides backup is pointless they would all be dead in moments." The Director said truthfully. "The only reason I dragged you along is so you can learn to be like me. There is an important lesson you will learn today." Before Valeria could ask what in the world the woman was talking about, her body suddenly froze as a feeling of terror coursed through it.

"Well, well. Not sure if you would have known but humans aren't exactly wanted in this country at the moment." A voice spoke up and they looked up to see Lilith smiling down at the form a tree. "If you want to be embraced that's another story though we do have an age limit if it's not life threatening, the girl is too young to be changed." Lilith stated as Valeria's knees buckled in terror when she looked into the vampires crimson eyes. "Poor girl looks likes she'd going to wet herself."

"Well an elder vampire like yourself does have that effect on humans." The Director drawled impassively as she didn't seem to fear the Vampire at all. Lilith smiled before disappearing

"Oh? Now aren't you brave." The vampire said as she stood behind the Director whom now had a small scar under her left eye that began to bleed.

"There is an important lesson I have learned in my life." The Director stated calmly as she turned to face Lilith.

"How is she so calm? That woman is a monster!" Valeria thought incredulously as she looked at the vampire in terror.

"Never be afraid if you're the smartest person in the area." The Director said simply and something in her eyes told the Vampire that she thought that her being the smartest was a fact.

"You're interesting." Lilith said as she licked the Director's blood from her nail before widening her eyes in shock. "How can a human's blood be so dark? She isn't normal by a long shot." Lilith wondered in silent confusion. "Tell me, why are you here?"

"I am the current head of SHIELD and I would like to speak to your Queen about ending this war before things get out of hand." The Director said and seeing the vampire's confusion she continued. "SHIELD does what's best for the world as a whole and no matter what our 'leaders' say, genocide is not the answer."

"And why should I believe you?"

"You can't honestly tell me you are not the slightest be concerned about what happened to your Queen's mate." The Director said calmly making Lilith's eyes narrow. The women weren't armed and she didn't smell any other humans nearby so either the woman was insane or she had a valid reason to be here. "What will it be? We'll leave now or you can just kill us if you want."

A tense moment passed.

"Follow me." Lilith stated simply as she began walking away making the Director smirk before glancing down at the wide-eyed Valeria. The woman simply placed a hand on top of the child's head. "As long as you have your mind, do not fear anyone. True power is internal." And with that the Director began following the daughter of Dracula as Valeria could finally feel her legs again.

-Jubilee's Throne Room-

BGM: The Asylum- Vampire Masquerade OST

Now even though Valeria took her counterparts words to heart and found it extremely easier to be in Lilith's presence, she was still uneasy about being in a room of vampires that hated her purely just because she had a heartbeat.

"You imbeciles used to be human too!" Valeria thought angrily but didn't dare voice her thoughts in fear for her own well-being. The only thing that made it easier to stand in the room was that she was sure Jubilee wouldn't let her be hurt. "She's friends with the man that has a ninety-five percent chance of being my stepfather. Assuming she really has kept her humanity, I should be okay."

"Relax kid; I'm not going to maul you." Jubilee said with a smirk before glancing around the room. "They won't either if they want to live." Jubilee added making the vampires stop their snarling. "Now Lilith tells me you know what happened to Laura?"

"Yes, your mate and her team we're forced off world. Normally it would be decades before they can find their way back but we have sent out a search party, however, they can take care of themselves and should be the least of your concerns." The Director said with a frown. "What you should be concerned about is that the real cause of this war is not humanity but rather…a very defective toy, Ultron."

"As much as I want to believe you, I'll need proof and we can't forget the fact that manipulated or not your soldiers are still doing the killing." Jubilee said as the Director smirked.

"Do not get me wrong, men and women who follow unjust orders blindly deserve whatever is coming to them. Make no mistake I am not pleading for anyone's life here, I am merely informing you of who should be your priority at the moment." The Director said as if she really could care less about whoever the Vampires wanted to eat as long as it wasn't her. "As for proof…" The Director trailed off before suddenly whipping her hand out at Alyssa. The blonde's eyes widened in alarm as a cord fired from the humans' sleeve and connected on her forehead.

*BZZT*

*THUMP*

The vampires watched in shock as the blonde fell to her knees before her body morphed into that of an Ultronbot.

"Hack Complete." The Director stated simply as the Ultronbot's eyes shone blue.

"You can hack them?" Valeria questioned in confusion. "Does that mean you can hack Ultron as well?"

"No, Ultron is far more complex than this cannon fodder." The Director muttered. "I modified some of Octavius' technology and while useful it is a minor nuisance at best when used against Ultron. We need something stronger to successfully hack him." The Director explained before turning back to Jubilee. "Is that enough proof?"

"What-how did you even know that was a robot?" Jubilee asked in confusion. The fact that this machine could replace one of her council and infiltrate a meeting of the most powerful vampires successfully unnerved her to say the least.

"They're ability to disguise themselves is very commendable." The Director said with a nod. "As for how I could tell, let's just say I have a good…eye for detail and leave it at that." Valeria frowned to herself as she realized there might be more to her counterpart's false eye than she let on. "Now as you can probably guess I have potentially just saved your life so excuse me when I say that this meeting is no longer on your terms. Right now the leader of one of your most powerful sects is missing during a time where it is fatal to not be human. No one knows where to even begin to find her…except me."

"What exactly do you want from us?" Jubilee questioned with narrowed eyes. After her or Lilith, Alyssa was the most influential vampire they had whom had provided the kingdom much of their connections thanks to her seduction skills. Losing her would weaken them more than Jubilee would like to admit. She supposed she would be able to use her gem to fix the situation but she couldn't shake the sudden feeling that that would be the wrong choice.

"Cooperation." The Director said firmly. "I will tell you where Alyssa is being held and in return at some point in the future I will need you to hold off one of the factions in this war and you will do so without question and before you say know please note that I am not asking you to kill any of the ones I want you to hold off."

"Alyssa is obviously going to be held at a Purifier base if I can just figure out which one-"

"She'll be dissected by Purifiers in one day." The Director deadpanned as if she could hear what the Vampire-queen was thinking. "Can you really afford to gamble her life by trying to guess which one it is?"

"Before I answer, just tell me; what are you after and how far are you willing to go?" Jubilee questioned as she couldn't help but get a small Magneto vibe from the woman.

"What I want, daughter of Caine, is understanding." The Director smiled. "As for how far I am willing to go…" Valeria noted that her counter-part took a moment to touch something on her chest that was hidden by her shirt before continuing. "Is something I am afraid you will never be able to comprehend because unlike me…you have limits." The Director said before turning around and gesturing for Valeria to follow her. "I'll have Bob deliver Alyssa to you tomorrow evening."

"Bob?" Jubilee echoed in confusion before the Director snapped her fingers.

"Come along Bob." The Director called out making the Ultronbot stand up.

["Yes Mistress."]

"*Sniff*"

Jubilee frowned to herself as a sweet scent that gave a feeling of madness entered the air. It took a moment for her to realize that it was coming from the retreating woman.

"She's bleeding."

-Minutes Later-

"You are bleeding." Valeria said in concern as she watched blood drip from the woman's fake eye and onto her shirt.

"Really?" The Director questioned before wiping a finger underneath her eye. "Well I'll be damned it has been awhile since that happened, but it is expected." The Director shrugged.

"You said you would never lie to me right?"

"Correct."

"Then where did you get that eye?" Valeria asked though she assumed the woman would say that she had built it herself.

"From the sacrifice of the only thing that gave my life meaning." The Director stated ominously and something told Valeria that even though she and the woman was the same person, it would be rude to continue any conversation on the subject.

-Shadowland-

"I apologize for my inability to help as effectively girls." Emma said with a sigh as she stared at her three frowning clone 'daughters'. "If I at least had my telepathy back I could properly instruct you like Kiden is currently doing with Eva.

"It's to be expected." The three blondes said in unison as if they didn't really expect anything else from the woman.

"Besides…" Celeste began,

"Just let…." Phoebe continued.

"The heroes deal with it again." Mindee finished as all three shrugged.

["I'm afraid that this time, they won't be enough."] A new slightly mechanical voice interrupted them making them tense before turning around to find a person who seemed to have been wearing an Iron Man suit except it was completely golden and had a blue glass face-plate that somehow blocked their face from view yet showed their eyes.

"Who are you?" Emma demanded making the armored being raise their hands up to show they meant no harm.

["Settle down, Frosty."] The stranger said with a chuckle making her eyes narrow. ["I'm an ally and I'll prove it."] The stranger said as what looked like an inhaler materialized in the stranger's hand. Emma quickly caught it when the stranger suddenly tossed it to her. Looking down her eyes widened in shock when she saw her face on the inhaler.

"Where the hell did you get Xperience?" Emma asked coldly making the stranger shrug.

["Through trial and error to be honest though I perfected the formula so it would have more…permanent results."] The stranger informed her as though it didn't really matter. ["It's all yours. Get your telepathy back and teach those three everything you know."]

"Why are you giving me this? What is your goal?" Emma questioned suspiciously.

BGM: Pioneers of the Apocalypse

["Let's just say you've all found yourself in the middle of a very convoluted game of chess at the moment."] The stranger said as their armor began to glow red. ["Your generation started this mess, but it will be theirs who finish it. Those three are instrumental and should not be left behind. Do not go easy on them; right now their peers are working themselves to an early grave in order to be stronger."]

*Flash*

"BIG BANG!" Chrissy boomed as she slammed her hands together causing a powerful explosion that created dozens of planets which began to speed toward an exhausted Andy.

"ALPHA WAVE 100%" Andy shouted as he released as much energy as he could muster to destroy the incoming planets.

*Flash*

May stumbled back weakly before grimacing as she bumped into a large great sword.

"I…I just have to land one blow." May thought weakly as Scathach landed in front of her before kicking the teen in her chest with enough force to shatter the great sword May was leaning against.

*Flash*

"Come on Kid you're better than that!" Deadpool said as he pulled out two black guns as Kidpool mimicked his actions. Both smirked behind their masks as they pulled the triggers.

"Bang, bang, bang, bang!" The two shouted as their bullets collided into each other.

*Flash*

"Take this knife." The Director said to Valeria as they entered a room before the older woman locked it. Valeria frowned as she was handed a knife before looking up in confusion as she saw some strange man tied down to a chair. "Atlantean, he was spying on the humans." The Director answered her unasked question. "I am going to get information from him and you are to watch." The Director said as she approached a table that was filled with tools. "When I get all the information from him, you are to give him a mercy killing."

"W-what?"

"Like hell I'll talk human." The man said with a glare. "I can take whatever you can do to me."

"One would think that." The Director admitted. "Problem with that way of thinking is I am not currently bound by any law and even if I was, they would not apply to non-humans nor would I care if they did." The Director said with a sweet smile. "Now let's just see how different our bodies are." The Director said as she approached him with a knife and a rusty spoon. "Valeria use the bucket to vomit in if this becomes too much for you."

*Flash*

"This is pointless Nico!" Molly shouted in exasperation as she looked up at a black haired woman. "You know I can't even comprehend magic much less do it! Why are we wasting our time?"

"This is a spell that even you can do." Nico said calmly as she flipped through a book. "However I don't need you accidentally killing yourself, so you are going to sit down and read the basics of magic before we begin to teach you this."

"Ughhhhh!" Molly groaned. "I hope Franklin is having a better time."

*Flash*

"Come on Franklin! You're faster than that!" Johnny shouted as he and Franklin flew through space. "We need to find your limits! Just take all that power within you and release it!"

"You might get hurt!" Franklin shouted in alarm.

"Don't worry about me; I'll stay far enough away! Now go!"

*Flash*

One Andrea Benton realized she hated her life.

What looked like a young female venom groaned as she found herself lying flat on her back.

"Hmph I thought with a name like Mania, you'd have a stronger symbiote." A muscular man with blue eyes and blonde hair said simply. He was wearing a simple gray hoody and torn blue jeans. "What has Venom been teaching you? You really did need help."

"U-Up yours old man." Andrea said as her black mask peeled back while she gave the man the one-finger solute. "Who the hell are you anyway!?"

"You can just call me Eddie."

*Flash*

"I was going to wait until you graduated from that new school of yours, but we really need you at full power in case something happens to Jean." Rachel said as Hope sat down in a lotus position in the danger room. "Reach deep down in yourself; there is still an echo of the phoenix within you. You need to pull it out!"

"Come on…come on…" Hope muttered as sweat poured from her face. It was hard and strained her mind incredibly but slowly but surely her body was engulfed with what looked like a faint blue ethereal phoenix.

"Good…"

*Flash*

"You can bring me here without touching me now?" Eva questioned in shock as she found herself standing with Kiden in no time.

"Yup! Now we have all the time in the world to figure out the limits of your powers." Kiden as she placed her hands in front of her like a boxer and began bouncing on her toes with a grin. "Come at me! I know you've been waiting to kick my ass since the day we met."

"What?" Eva asked as she blinked owlishly. "Not really, I kind of like you, you've been a good friend." Eva said truthfully making Kiden blink.

"Well pretend you hate me then! Cause I'm going to kick your ass until you fight back!"

"You're high again."

"Shut up!"

"Who are you?" Emma asked making the stranger chuckle.

"I'm Iron Man." And with that the armored stranger disappeared.

-Meanwhile: With team Amazing-

"So it's come down to this, have you forgotten how easily I defeated you in the past?" M. Bison asked as he stood in front of a glaring Chun-Li. The sky flashed with lighting as the rain poured down on the soon to be combatants. They were surrounded by hundreds of unmoving bodies as his base was reduced to noting but mere rubble. Truly this was the perfect scene for Chun-Li to have her final fight with the man who had wronged. A few meters away the rest of Team Amazing stood by ready to see the battle.

"He sounds pretty confident for someone whose entire base was blown up three minutes ago by a single attack from Chun-Li." Magik muttered before she was shushed by Talon.

"Don't ruin the tense atmosphere." Talon chided. "This was a long time coming."

"Fine let's end this farce. I will be merciful and end you in an instant." M. Bison said before he transformed into Final Vega. Chun-Li narrowed her eyes as she felt his power increase.

"[My turn! This is for my father and all those whose lives you destroyed!]" Chun-Li shouted as golden chi exploded from her body instantly, her ribbons blew off in the process. Bison gave a startled yelp as he was literally blown back from the release of power alone. He barely managed to catch himself as he landed on his feet

BGM: Vegeta Super Saiyan theme- DBZ OST

"WHAT!?" Bison wondered in shock as he found it impossible to even move in her presence. The ground trembled with every stood she took towards him. Her complete white eyes seemed to pierce his very soul as a golden dragon formed over her right foot. The clouds parted from her power alone and sun began to shine over the battle field as she approached him. The way the clouds parted made the sun's rays shine on her as if it were a spot light from God. "Where…where did you get this power!? Where have you been for the past few years!?"

"The experiences I've had would shatter you." Chun-Li said coldly as she raised her foot an inch off the ground. "Let's end this!" Chun-Li demanded as he delivered a crescent kick to his side.

*KRACKBOOOOOOOOOOM*

*ROOOOOOOOAARRRRR*

The power of the dragon's roar and the explosion made even her team stumble back.

BGM: END

-30 minutes later-

A blood soaked Chun-Li sat on a pile of rubble with her face in her left hand as her team tried to console her.

"It's…it's okay it happens to everyone." Talon said awkwardly as Illyana patted the fighter back.

"I mean…you won right? That counts for something." The blonde said as she tried her best not to touch the blood.

"You want some ice cream sport?" Spider-Man asked gently. "Hmm? Would you like that?"

"I just don't understand…how he could just explode." Chun-Li asked pitifully. Indeed with that kick of hers she drew the first and only blood in the fight…if you could even call it a fight. Bison had died instantly when the blow connected and her team has been spending the past twenty-nine minutes trying to console the woman. "I…I couldn't even enjoy it…why is life so unfair? What am I supposed to tell Juri? I guess it's true what they say…revenge isn't satisfying."

(LIAG Fun Fact: In the 'Canon' Marvel vs. Capcom, it turns out that the street fighter character's power levels rose exponentially the SECOND they entered the Marvel universe (I'm guessing there was more chi floating around or something) what this means is that Chun-Li at the very beginning of this fic might have been as strong as Bison who was stuck in their world…add on the power ups and well…you get the idea)

"Oh I wouldn't go that far…" Talon said with a smirk as she pulled out a light blue orb that was about the size of a golf ball before tossing it to Chun-Li.

"What is this?" Chun-Li questioned with a frown.

"Pump some energy into it and find out." Talon said simply. Shrugging, Chun-Li did just that and poured her chi into the orb.

"GYAHHHHHHHH!" A masculine voice screamed in terror making Chun-Li nearly drop the orb in shock.

"Was…was that Bison?" Chun-Li asked faintly as the feral inspected her nails with a smirk.

"Yup."

"You stole his soul? Good move mistress!" Magik said with a smile.

"When he released his full power, I saw something like this occurring since it was so damn pitiful." Talon explained to the blonde. "It was like he wasn't even there, I barely felt him."

"Hold up, I thought Nemesis' powers didn't work outside of our universe." Spider-Man said with a visible frown making the feral nod.

"They don't but with Selene's dark magic…well let's just say there is more than one way to reap a soul and leave it at that." Talon told Spider-Man before giving Chun-Li a small smile. "There that way you and Juri can get revenge whenever you want." Tears fell from the fighter's eyes as she forced chi into the orb making Bison scream in agony.

"Laura, I think I love you." Chun-Li said seriously making the feral raise an eyebrow at her.

"Of course you do, after everything we've been through…we're family. You've done so much for both Peter and I that we have to pay you back in any way that we can." Talon said truthfully and Spider-Man had to shake his head in wonder as once again he found himself trying to imagine the young suicidal feral he took in becoming the woman in front of him. Chun-Li gave them all a smile as she wiped her eyes.

"Well that's enough heartfelt talking for one day, time to leave this world." Chun-Li said as she stood up.

"Wonder where we'll end up next?" Spider-Man wondered as they were surrounded by golden web-lines. "Hopefully home before Adriana does something crazy."

-Wisconsin: With the Queen-

Adriana looked up impassively as a large black Spider shaped space craft floated above her in the air.

"I told him so, I told that foolish mate of mine someone would get hurt." Adriana muttered as she watched the myriad of Spider-themed aliens fall from the ship. "We're here to stay. Web guide us, it's time we took charge." Adriana said as her gold flames erupted from her eyes. It was not long before Father Spider leapt from the ship and landed before in a crouch before slowly rising up and towering over the woman.

"My Queen, how may we aid you?" The orange alien questioned making Adriana's scowl deepen.

"A being named Ultron has removed my mate and his comrades form this world and disrupted the balance." The Queen said angrily. "I saw what happened the moment it occurred but I was too slow to interfere. As Queen I can view the web, anyone not connected to it is not a living being. I will link our people's minds so we can deal with the Ultronbots."

"What if the other species interfere with us?" Father Spider questioned with a frown.

"Disable them but make no mistake you are not to put their lives before yours. If you absolutely cannot help it, eliminate those who stand in your way. That is an order." Adriana stated coolly making the tall man nod his head.

"Yes, your highness."

Adriana simply smirked as she began to walk away, they may be few but their power was great.

-One Month Later: Emora-

"Natasha." Silver said as she entered the throne room with a frown and approached the red-head.

"What's wrong?" Natasha questioned as she noticed the younger woman's frown.

"I think it's time we start planning our surrender to Mary Jane." Silver said as she used air quotes around the word surrender.

"Already?" Natasha asked in confusion Mary Jane had only left a month ago after all. "What happened?"

"Well it's about your home country…" Silver trailed off.

-Russia-

"Y-You d-devil." A wounded Titanium man grunted out as he was surrounded by flames. He gritted his teeth in pain as he saw a silhouette appear behind the flames.

"It's not personal." A voice said simply making him glare at the fire as Mary Jane stepped through the flames. "I'm doing my best to keep casualties to a minimum."

"What are you after?"

"Peace." MJ said truthfully.

"How can you even say that like you mean it as my country lies in shambles because of you!?"

"To make stronger you must first destroy." MJ said as she closed her eyes and walked passed him.

"And what are you trying to make stronger!?"

"The world."

"I will stop you…you will pay for what you've done!"

"Oh I am sure you will try." MJ said truthfully as her eyes were filled with sadness. "I'm kind of jealous; unlike me you're destined to have a warrior's death." MJ said before throwing a sword at the man which stabbed into the ground right by his hand. "Anytime you're ready." And with that MJ disappeared into the fire as tears of sorrow fell from her eyes. "Do it for her." MJ kept repeating to herself as she thought of May.

-SHIELD Helicarrior-

"Do it for her." The Director murmured to herself as she stared at the insides of a gold shaped locket. She closed it when she heard someone approaching her and glanced back to see a shaken Valeria.

"Please no more, I am begging you. Stop torturing the people you interrogate." Valeria whispered as she looked at her counterpart angrily. "I…I cannot keep…keep…"

"Killing them?" The Director finished as the child wiped her eyes and gritted her teeth.

"The things you do to them…they beg me to end them! Please just stop!" Valeria pleaded making the woman smirk.

"Please stop looking so weak, so you have murdered a few people, so what? You have done them a favor. Now we have the information required to complete this."

"I am not a murderer!" Valeria shouted as tears fell down her face.

"Tell that to the last five people whose lives you ended." The Director drawled making the child clench her fists.

"You made me do those things! It is not my fault!"

"Oh really?" The Director asked rhetorically before narrowing her eyes. "Quit acting like a sheep. Are you honestly blaming your actions on me forcing you to do it? Here is a question for you then, why haven't you used that knife on me?" The Director questioned making the child step back with wide eyes.

"Y-you would have stopped me!" Valeria answered weakly.

"Pathetic excuse, then tell me why not use it on yourself if you are so sad for their loss? After all, if there is no you then there is no me." The Director continued as she walked towards Valeria who began to step back and shake her head in denial. "Wake up you insolent child, this is war. Do not try to blame me for your weakness."

"Stop…"

"You are selfish, you wanted to live so you killed them and now you are trying to rationalize it by blaming me; cry me a fucking river." The Director said coolly as she knelt down and glared at Valeria. "The world is not black and white. Everything I do is for the greater good of society. I kill dozens so hundreds will live, I have driven myself to and past the brink of madness, and I am your future. You have all the power you need to stop me, yet you will not do it. You are a coward, accept that and move on."

"I am not a coward!" Valeria cried as surge of anger went through her.

"You destroy others so that you can live better, if you are not a coward then please enlighten me to your true nature?"

"I-I…"

"Well what are you?"

"I a-am…"

"Well?" The Director asked imperiously.

"I am only human!" Valeria shouted as she wiped her eyes while her body shook with sobs. The Director smirked coldly as she stood up.

"Exactly. That is all you are. Human. You want to live by any means necessary, do not be ashamed of your nature. Embrace it and continue to live." The Director said simply as she gave the child a genuine smile. "For everyone you kill, make sure you do not waste your life, for everyone that dies you must improve the quality of your life so that it was not pointless. Survive to see the results of your actions, despite what you think you are saving the world."

"B-but *Sniff*" The Director handed the crying child a handkerchief.

"Soon you will see that I do everything for a reason." The Director said calmly. "In my time-line I took too long to realize the lesson I am teaching you, and I lost my most important person because of it. You will be better than me even if I have to shatter your very perception of life to do it." The Director said calmly before kneeling down and giving the child a hug. She knew she was being unfair, but she just had no other choice. "How does it feel to finally act your age?" Valeria could do nothing but continue to cry. "It's okay, besides I have all the information I need, it's time to speed things up a bit."

-Moon: Attilan-

(LIAG Helpful Info: Attilan is a floating city/ship and home of the Inhumans.)

["Total war protocol activated"] A blue eyed Ultronbot said as it finished placing parker particle filled charges on the bottom of the city.

-Atlantis-

["Ten minutes until detonation."] A second blue-eyed Ultronbot said as it walked towards the kingdom with explosives strapped to its body.

-Web of Life-

"We've been at this for weeks and there is still no sign of Peter anywhere." Jessica muttered as she paced back and forth as Julia shut her eyes tight.

"Wait, do you see that?" Julia whispered in horror as the image of a blazing Attilan falling towards earth flashed through their minds as the screams of agony form its inhabitants rang through their ears. Mayday covered her mouth in a silent horror.

"This is terrible, there is no way more than half of them will survive the impact." Mayday said stunned at how terrible things were becoming.

-California: Hours later-

From underneath the remains of the former inhuman homeland a single man rose weakly. He was Blackbolt; king of the Inhumans a man cursed to silence for his voice alone brought untold destruction. Even now as tears filled his eyes he kept his mouth shut. However his vow of silence threatened to shatter as he saw his Queen trapped beneath the rubble as a pool of blood formed underneath her. Blackbolt quickly rushed to the weak form of Medusa and began to attempt to free her from her prison.

"P-Please stop….it is too late for me." The woman said weakly as blood spilt from her lips. "Please…f-find who did this…make them pay." Medusa pleaded before the life left her eyes making the powerful King fall to his knees in despair.

*Whistle*

Blackbolt's eyes widened as he turned around to see a mysterious blonde woman leaning against one of the destroyed towers with a child staring blankly at the ground.

"Well I'll be damned; looks like you were hit hard." The Director said with a chuckle making Blackbolt glare fiercely at her as Valeria just looked up at her emotionlessly. Valeria was not an idiot she knew damn well her counterpart caused all of this destruction but she remained quiet, she knew there was a reason behind every one of the Director's wicked actions.

At least that's what she told herself to stay sane.

"Now before you do something you regret." The Director said as she raised her hand to stop Blackbolt whom began to open his mouth no doubt prepared to bring untold destruction upon her. "I can tell you who's responsible for this mess."

The got the King's attention.

"I intercepted a message from Ultron to one of his bots; he ordered one to bring down your kingdom with some very powerful explosives." The Director said calmly. "I tried to send you a warning but I fear it came too late. However, now is not the time for mourning right now we have a common enemy." The Director said before smirking coldly. "Lend me your power and you will get your revenge." The Director promised as she approached Blackbolt and extended a hand towards him. "I can have some of my agents help you free any survivors. You have suffered a great loss, but I promise you we can end this together." The Director finished as her eyes conveyed nothing but sadness and understanding.

Blackbolt looked at her hand with a frown before slowly grasping it.

"Pleasure to have you on the right side. I will fill you in with more details after we rescue your people." The Director said with a gentle smile as Valeria just stared up at her.

"Is there really no end to your madness?" Valeria wondered to herself.

Loyalty: Inhuman Faction: Check

As if to answer her question, the Director placed a hand to her ear and looked up at the sky.

"Jubilation it is time to break out the world of darkness." The Director said suddenly.

-Genosha-

"It is time." Jubilee said as her realty gem shone with power. Though she had trouble with delicate situations, her gem worked beautifully in making larger changes to her surroundings. Quickly, the eternal darkness that engulfed her kingdom began to spread. "When I give the signal we head for Utopia!" Jubilee shouted making the vampires smirk in anticipation.

-Space-

A dark dome originating Genosha continued to grow in size until eventually the entire planet appeared to be nothing more than a pitch black marble.

-With the Director-

"In time the lack of sunlight will destroy the crops and limit the resources available for humanity. Within a few months' time, that should limit their resources exponentially-"

"And in turn make the war far easier for Mary Jane." Valeria said hollowly making the director blink owlishly before staring down at the nearly broken child who had interrupted her thoughts. "In the end she can solo their forces by herself, but you are making it easier for her. Her followers maybe affected negatively by the lack of sun but as long as she lives it doesn't matter."

"Oh? And how do you know that is the outcome I am looking for?" The Director questioned quietly with a growing smile.

"Because it is something I would do." Valeria said without hesitation. "You do not need to gain the loyalty of humanity…you need Mary Jane's loyalty and the rest will follow. You are waiting for her to conquer the world before approaching her. Simple but genius."

"Congratulations, I actually feel proud…" The Director said as she ruffled the child's hair making her counterpart smile slightly. "I suppose a miniscule amount of Stockholm syndrome never hurt anyone before." The Director mused. "You are finally growing into that mind of yours."

-Atlantis-

"The first time they attempted to harm us, I let it slide for it was their retribution for Namor's actions." Namorita said calmly as she stood up from her throne in the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. "However, it seems they have mistaken our understanding for weakness. They had the land we have the sea, that was our natural balance but now because of their actions…we will have everything!" The woman shouted righteously as she raised her trident, making her followers cheer.

Around the Sub mariners was nothing but pure carnage, luckily the casualties were at a minimum. They weren't ignorant to the war amongst the land dwellers but they stayed out of it for it was not their problem. However that day the kingdom was bathed in an unholy red light and once again the kingdom found itself in shambles.

Now…Now it was their problem.

-Utopia-

Logan panted tiredly as he stood over the remains of what felt like the one hundredth sentinel that day. He was fighting harder than he had in a long time and found himself slowly but surely becoming exhausted.

Still he refused to give up until he was dead.

As long as the students were in danger he swore he would continue to fight on.

*Drip*

Logan blinked owlishly as he felt something drip on his for head and wiped at it with his finger. He frowned when he saw his finger covered in a familiar red liquid.

*Sniff*

"Blood? From where-"

*rumble*

The feral looked on stunned as a crimson rain fell from the dark and stormy clouds.

"Logan! What is this!?" Storm shouted in confusion as she flew towards him while blasting as many soldiers as she could with her lightning. Despite everything, she made sure that her attacks weren't lethal.

"It's raining blood!" Logan growled out as he slashed through some soldiers that were stunned by the sudden weather change. Unlike his friend, he aimed to kill and easily decapitated them. "Think you can shut it off!?"

"I'll try-"

"I wouldn't do that." A new voice spoke up interrupting Storm. Both mutants turned to see Jubilee stride through the battlefield calmly decimating anything that tried to challenge her. Logan could tell by the look in her eyes that something had finally snapped in the young vampire as she completely ignored Xavier's ideals as a group of vampires trailed behind her. "I need my people to stay strong if we want to run the humans out of this country." Jubilee stated before glancing back at the vampires with a single crimson eye. "Dinner time. Kill those you feed from and embrace any dying mutants." Jubilee ordered. "And make sure the damn newborns don't go on a frenzy the rain should keep them sated." Jubilee finished has the small legion vanished into the battlefield.

"Jubilee? Why are you here?" Storm asked in confusion.

"One I'd help you guys anyway despite how some of the mutants have treated me since my change…" Jubilee began as she raised an index finger before the middle quickly followed. "And two, I made a deal with someone and I need to make sure I fulfill every one of my objectives."

"You workin' for someone?" Logan asked in confusion.

"Something like that, I'm in an alliance with SHIELD. So far the Inhumans and my Vampires are in the union. Seeing as you are pretty much the 'Leader' here, the new director sent me here to see if you want to join up." Jubilee said with a small smile. "You in?"

"Fury Jr. quit?" Logan asked in confusion.

"No he just stepped to the side so someone more experienced can take charge of this situation. Not going to lie something feels off about her, but she's the best option we have at the moment if we want to end this without making any species extinct."

"Hell, get these kids safe and I don't care if she's Magneto reincarnated." Logan muttered making Jubilee nod.

"Take me to Carol and I'll change and get rid of them myself."

"Why Carol?"

"Because the world needs her in fighting condition again, and I'm here to help that." Jubilee answered honestly making Logan frown. "Don't worry you can trust me, both her and her kid will be safe. Besides the fact that I am not a soulless monster, Laura would kill me if I hurt either of them."

"Follow me."

-Minutes later: Medical center-

"You don't need to give me your bed." Rogue said with a frown as Carol crossed her arms with a glare.

"I'm pregnant, not dying." Carol muttered. "You on the other hand have three fractured ribs and a broken arm. You refuse to take my healing factor so that means you're stuck waiting for Logan to finish fighting and knowing him that could take weeks. Now get on the damn bed and rest." Rogue was about to respond when someone cleared their throat.

"Glad to see you two puttin' your difference aside." Logan stated with a smirk making the blonde roll her eyes in annoyance. "Rogue come here you can take my healing factor, Carol you've got company." The blonde frowned when Jubilee stepped into the room.

"Jubilee?" Carol asked with a frown.

"How's it going?" Jubilee greeted as she walked towards the woman. "Look I'll cut to the point seeing as I really want to go back out and fight. MJ is slowly retaking the human nations for those humans who have common sense. The strain is going to kill her though, with you out there especially with your gem you can easily cut down the work for her."

"I would help her if I could but…" Carol trailed off as she gestured to her stomach.

"This is why I am going to take you to someone who can get you combat ready while keeping your child safe." Jubilee said making Carol blink in shock. "I know it sounds too good to be true but it can work, you just need to work with me for a bit, she's kind of hard to reach at the moment."

-New York: Holy Ghost Church-

BGM: Shadowlord- NieR OST

A black haired woman with cold black eyes looked at the singing choir impassively as individuals of all walks of life closed their eyes in prayer as the sounds of gunshots rang out from outside. Next to here was a basket of apples from which she ate from as the minutes passed. Many of the church goers had tears in their eyes making the woman shake her head slightly before closing her eyes so she could concentrate on the heavenly music. A smirk graced her lips as someone sat down next to her.

"Why aren't you stopping this?" A voice asked with barely restrained anger making the woman crack her left eye open so she could glance at the familiar blonde.

"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise? Here I thought you were going to avoid me and stay put for the duration of this war." The black haired woman said with a chuckle. "How ever did you find me child?"

"Don't play games with me!" Gwen whispered harshly. "You know damn well we're still linked."

"So we are." Death mused.

"Why are you here?" Gwen asked with a frown.

"Amusement really." Death said with a small smile. "Look around you, these people are wasting their time."

"How dare you? They're terrified of what's going on around them, they are praying for an end to this war-many of them has lost important people." Gwen said coldly but was caught off guard by the glare Death gave her, Gwen swallowed as she felt her entire body freeze.

"Then let me ask you, child, whom exactly are they praying to?" Death asked rhetorically. "Do you see why I find this humorous? They truly expect that he will actually waste his time to end a petty earthling conflict."

"E-even if he didn't, you don't have the right to mock them…especially when you yourself could single-handedly stop this entire thing!" Gwen said as she regained some of her courage.

"I could. It was be entirely too easy as well but to do so would be to spit in his face and quite frankly that would be detrimental to my health." Death said simply. "Besides, I want to see what makes you all so damn special."

Now that confused Gwen greatly.

"What do you mean?"

"He does not show his emotions easily." Death began with a humorless smile. "For the eternity that I have known him I still can barely discern when he is happy or enraged…yet for that one period of time when your people were created…I have never seen such a pure expression of love appear on a individuals face, even now millennia later no one has come close."

It was at this moment that the reality of exactly who and what she was talking to began to sink in. Never in her life did Gwen ever think she would feel as humbled as she did at that moment.

"Your kind broke his rules yet he still loves you, I have seen gods destroyed for less. He goes out of his way to bring you a savior and you all kill it…yet he still loves you, you've all broken his heart constantly yet he is still confident that you all will be great when you're older…please…tell me exactly what makes you all so damn special?"

"I…I don't know." Gwen answered honestly as her gaze softened making Death smile slightly.

"Neither do I…but I am beginning to learn." Death stated as she placed a hand on Gwen's head and turned to look at the Choir. "No matter what happens to you all…you persevere. At first I thought it was luck, then like you all I though He was protecting you, but now I know it's all you. I thought you were weak…fragile…easily the most useless species in the universe when the truth is quite the opposite…you're his masterpiece. It may take time…but the truth is…your people can do anything…they just have to try. Stop being afraid and believe in yourself like He does."

"…" Gwen couldn't find the words to say. She came here to shout at Death for being selfish when the truth of the matter was Death respected them too much to help.

"Beings like me, we focus on keeping the universe balanced. That is our sole purpose. It's not that we do not care we just are too busy, this is why we have champions, agents to carry out our will." Death said as she gave Gwen a piercing stare that viewed the very depths of the woman's soul. "Believe me when I say that after my defeat at the hands of the Weaver, after gaining an actual friend who allowed me to experience what I've taken away, and most importantly being able to feel love…I want nothing more than for you all to live."

"So why-"

"Because that's your job." Death interrupted making Gwen pale. "My power has never left you and you know that. Instead of asking why aren't I helping, instead ask yourself why aren't you helping?"

"I only have a fraction of your strength, in the end it'll still be a drop vs. an ocean."

"But what is an ocean if not a multitude of drops?" Death countered. "That red-headed friend of yours will meet her end soon I can feel it…you can still change that. Show me just what the people that dare to defy all are capable of."

"What am I supposed to do?" Gwen whispered as she looked down at her hands. Gently, Death placed one of the most delicious looking red apples Gwen had ever seen in her hand. Gwen blinked as she could faintly see her own tired expression reflected of the polished surface of the fruit.

"You're human, the choice is yours." Death stated with a smirk. "Do not underestimate free will, a power so great that not even I truly possess it."

A moment passed.

Slowly Gwen stood up and began to leave the church and slammed the doors open with a resounding bang as she walked into the battlefield.

*CRUNCH!*

Sweet juice slid down the corner of her mouth as she bit into the fruit while her cold blue eyes began the glow faintly.

Shit just got real.
