First off before I begin let me start by saying that I understand the beginning of the previous event was hard to read (There's a reason I warned you beforehand you might wanna skip over it.)
To those who have read the event and actually had enough common sense to read the entire thing before jumping the gun because you know I would never write anything without a purpose this interlude is for you (And because I wanted to break 600k words MILE STONE~)
For literally the one guy (Whose name I can't remember, don't feel like checking the reviews right now.) who actually did jump the gun and didn't read all of part two thus missing basically the heart and soul of the event –raises middle finger-. (Not you Darkcloud you redeemed yourself when you actually read the whole thing.)
Seriously that's pretty damn insulting, you sat through over 570K words of this fic and you honestly expect so little of me? Seriously –Raises middle finger again- I have two chapters left. At this point I have had an epiphany. If I can honestly entertain even one person for as long as I have then anyone else can fuck themselves.
So to those who are going to finish this story, I'm just letting you know you have NO idea how much I appreciate it. Seriously, 900+ reviews and I doubt I even have 7 legit flames. *Claps hands* Phenomenal. You guys stay awesome.
If I ever write another Marvel fic, it'll be because of you all.
Final Interlude: RebuffX7-The Black General (Alternate title: Do not fuck with the second in command.)
-Rebuff's apartment-
"So tell me in your group, who's the strongest?" Wanda questioned suddenly making Rebuff blink before humming in thought.
"Hmm, interesting question." Rebuff began making Wanda frown in confusion. She had honestly expected the woman to say her boss was the strongest. "There are three of us who are in charge, Rebuke, then me-I got a kick ass promotion not too long ago, and then finally Jorn."
"So Rebuke is the strongest?" Wanda questioned making Rebuff shake her head.
"No, the heroes we recruit can sometimes be stronger than even us, if this mission goes well then I can definitely say Spider-Man will be the strongest hero."
"So of you three who are actually seated officers; who is the strongest?" Wanda questioned as she filed away the fact Spider-Man might potentially be stronger than the boss of the woman who recruited him.
"Well we're called the big three around the White Room-that's our HQ by the way- Rebuke is the smartest of us three, the smartest in the organization actually-heroes included, but besides his ability to summon and fight with a supernatural being; his raw power is the lowest of us by far." Rebuff pointed out. "But don't underestimate him. He could be manipulating me this very moment-not that I would care- and I would have no idea."
"Huh didn't expect that." Wanda murmured making Rebuff nod.
"On the other hand you have our third-seat Jorn, he was trained by Rebuke and has a summon of his own now. He is definitely not the smartest of us and is incredibly reckless, in fact, we haven't heard from him in a while so he probably got himself killed but he definitely had the most raw-power. His power dwarfed Rebuke's and he would decimate our boss in a random fight. Problem is our boss is always thirty steps ahead of us and would manipulate the fight into his favor."
"Brains over brawn huh? So where does that leave you?' Wanda questioned making Rebuff smirk.
"Right in the middle. I have perfect balance of intelligence and raw power that when put together I could throttle both of them. Should Spider-Man join I would be second to him when looking at X7 as a whole."
"That's impressive." Wanda complimented as Rebuff gained a thousand yard stare.
"I exist solely for battle, the perfect weapon." Rebuff murmured making Wanda frown. Rebuff quickly shook her head and gave the other woman a tired smile. "Sorry thinking about the past for a moment. Honestly though I say Spider-Man I am really attempting to snag his whole team. Any one of them sans Magik by herself can win this thing if they fight smart. Part of me is hoping Talon wins, to be honest I see myself a bit in her."
"You?" Wanda said with a laugh. "Happy go lucky Rebuff? You see yourself in Talon." Wanda asked unbelievingly.
"Honestly the only real difference is our age." Rebuff mused. "Before we decided to actively recruit heroes we attempted to handle this situation ourselves. It was a darker period and many of the boss' actions were highly unethical but we learned from our mistakes and moved on."
"How dark are we talking?" Wanda questioned apprehensively.
"I used to call that goofball Master." Rebuff drawled making Wanda look at her in shock. "Even now I am not sure if I call him Boss because I want to or because he ordered me to. My loyalty has never wavered; I would do anything he orders."
Something about the way Rebuff spoke rubbed Wanda the wrong way, as if behind the woman's care-free attitude was a darkness she could never fathom.
"What exactly is this threat you are trying so hard to stop?" Wanda asked carefully getting a hollow grin from Rebuff.
"Let me tell you a story about the day the White Room was created…" Rebuff trailed off before her smile fell slightly. "…and the day the Black Room was torn down."
-Flashback: Decades Earlier: ?-
A black haired Rebuff walked through a desolate wasteland with a frown as she was followed by a small group of black clad soldiers. The woman had a small grey streak in her bangs and her cold eyes held no sort of warmth in them. She was dressed in a black cat suit that was unzipped just enough to reveal a good amount of her bust. Around her neck was a black metallic collar that emitted a small red light.
"Damn we got stuck with her." One of the soldiers said quietly as they followed the woman.
"Be quiet, she'll kill us if she hears you!" Another soldier whispered harshly. "Her power is frightening!"
"I thought that's why our boss kept that leash around her neck! To eliminate her in case she goes rogue-"The soldier was cut off as he suddenly found himself being lifted from the ground by his neck while a glaring rebuff held him up easily with her right hand.
"You will refer to him as master…or be eliminated." Rebuff snarled before releasing him and continuing her trek.
"Do you have any idea how lucky you are!?" A soldier questioned as he helped his comrade up. "The last person to make that mistake died."
"For mentioning her leash!?" The soldier asked incredulously before covering his mouth in horror.
"No newbie, for not calling Master Rebuke Master." The second soldier answered. "She doesn't care what we say or think about her, she doesn't exist for us-she exists for him. Now let's go!" They continued their walk for a moment before Rebuff held up a hand once they reached the top of a hill. In the distance they could see a large black castle which made them shudder and her eyes narrowed.
"We finally found her." Rebuff murmured emotionlessly.
"Y-you mean s-she exists." One of the soldiers said weakly as he gazed at the castle. "Bos-Master, was being serious!? I only signed up for this because I thought he was delusional! I quit!"
"Silence." Rebuff ordered as she glanced back at him. "You're already dead, she knows we are here."

"You are correct in that assumption." A heavenly voice stated and they all turned around to see a tall woman with long black hair and pale skin. Around her eyes was a black blind fold and draped around her body was a long black toga. Around her wrists and her ankles were four solid gold cuffs but the most distinguishing feature were the two large black wings. The soldiers froze up as she raised a hand as some drool ran down from the corner of her mouth. "So…Hungry…"
"General! We can't move. Please Ma'am help us!" One of the soldiers shouted in absolute terror making Rebuff's eyes narrow as she crossed her arms.
"Weak. If you cannot handle her presence you are of no use." Rebuff said coldly as tears fell from the solders eyes as they struggled to move to no avail.
"PLEASE!"
"Despair." Their bodies locked up as black tendrils ripped from their chests where their hearts were and entered her open mouth. "More…" The woman said with manic glee as she turned to Rebuff. "You still stand? As expected of Rebuke's Black general, the hellhound feared by all who know of our conflict. You have no fear despite facing me, why?"
[Never forget your purpose Rebuff.]
"I exist solely for battle." Rebuff said as a grin slowly split her face while she crouched down low.
"That man has conditioned you into his personal pet…" The woman drawled. "Do you even remember being human?"
"Useless knowledge." Rebuff muttered as her muscles tensed. Her eyes shone red as a sickly black aura surrounded her. "Fight!" Rebuff demanded as she leapt forward savagely and released a vicious blow to the woman's face, whom didn't even budge even as the area behind her was completely torn asunder by the shockwave.
"Your Master and his companions together couldn't face me, yet you try by yourself? Foolish. Let me show you the difference between us." The woman said simply as she crossed her arms. "Eclipse."
"What-"Rebuff muttered as she was suddenly incased in a black sphere which rapidly decreased in size until it was unable to be seen.
*Pop*
"Disappointing." The woman muttered as she began to leave before stopping as the air in front of her seemed to distort.
*CRACK!*
The air shattered as an enraged Rebuff shot towards her with a roar.
"You survived complete disintegration and shattered through dimensions with sheer will alone?" The woman questioned as she seemed to salivate at the very sight of Rebuff whom delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to the woman's head only for her to remain unmoving. "You must be a real human…oh you will be my greatest meal yet!" The woman declared. "Fall!"
*SLAM!*
Rebuff's legs buckled as the gravity increased suddenly rendering the area surrounding her into a large crater.
"Do you know what happened to this earth?" The woman questioned rhetorically. "They were filled with people whom thought they could stand against me, much like you." Rebuff gritted her teeth as she glared up at the woman. "This is also the place where I annihilated X7 without even a fraction of my power." The woman revealed making Rebuff's eyes widen as six skeletons appeared next to her. "Allow me to show you what happens when I try. Vanish."
-Sun-
Rebuff glanced around in confusion as she found herself floating a few thousand miles in front of the sun. She gritted her teeth when the colossal form of her opponent towered over the sun from behind it.
"The planets and even Pluto are aligned." The woman mused as she raised her hand-as if prepared to flick something- towards the bright star. "Here's a taste of a fraction of my power." The woman smiled. "Oblivion."
*BAM!*
Rebuff crossed her arms as the sun shot towards her like a marble and slammed into her viciously.
-Mercury-
Rebuff screamed in agony as her back slammed into the first planet while the sun continued forward without even looking close to stopping.
*BOOOOOOOM*
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Rebuff screamed as the planet exploded and continued on towards Venus.
*BOOOOOOOM*
*BOOOOOOOM*
*BOOOOOOOM*
*BOOOOOOOM*
*BOOOOOOOM*
*BOOOOOOOM*
*BOOOOOOOM*
*BOOOOOOOM*
"Perish." The woman said as the sun exploded in a bright inferno upon her command.
*FA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*
-Alternate Earth-
The sky distorted a smoking Rebuff fell from it at high speeds before slamming into the Atlantic Ocean before skipping across its entirety like a rock.
*BOOOOOOM*
*RUMBLE*
Rebuff coughed up blood as her aura vanished while her vision blurred. She looked up into the sky with a weak smile.
"Barely managed to escape…what a beautiful day to die, I was wrong I can't face her…I do not think anyone can win against her…she's just too strong." Rebuff tried to laugh but ended if coughing up more blood. She wiped her mouth tiredly as she glared up at the sky. She gritted her teeth as she saw the woman flap down before her.
"Such a tragic way for you to perish, but I needed to prepare my meal appropriately. A real human's heart is a delicacy and is best when served…broken." The woman smiled as she raised her as a pitch black fork appeared between her fingers. "This is my win."
[Rebuff no matter what happens, never break. As long as the will to fight burns in you, do not give up if I can face her you can. I am not being an emotional fool, I am merely stating a fact; you are better than me.]
"Winners aren't decided by who can release the strongest attack..." Rebuff said weakly as she struggled to stand. It was pointless she knew, but she was not about to accept her death not before she could see her master…just one more time. "…But rather who can take it!" Rebuff shouted as she released a powerful right to the woman's face at the same time her opponent stabbed her fork forward.
*Crack*
*Ba-dump*
Rebuff fell to her knees with a grin as a gaping hole appeared in her chest while the woman stood behind her as still as a statue. Rebuff's heart was impaled on the fork, but what was surprising was the look of pure unadulterated rage that graced the woman's face as she rubbed her left cheek with her free hand. She glared down at the downed Rebuff whom had fell face first onto the ground as blood ran from her lip.
*CRASH*
The woman's eyes widened in shock as Rebuff's body disappeared suddenly before she turned around and saw the deceased woman's body in the arms of her most hated enemy. Steeling her expression she smiled as she devoured the heart in front of the impassive man.
"You failed." Rebuke murmured as he gazed down at Rebuff.
"Do you see now fool? I am all of mankind's hate given form; did you honestly think one woman could take me on?" The woman sneered. "I will say this; she deserved a medal for taking as much punishment as she did, and another for even attempting in the first place."
Rebuke frowned when he saw water fall on Rebuff's face and glanced up at the sky to see if it was raining. It took a second for his eyes to widen in shock when he realized he was crying.
"Ironic, this is just how my foolish daughter held you before she gave you her heart." The woman sneered. "She died turning you into an immortal, and for what? So you could annoy me for a few years. You will never defeat me. I will save myself the trouble and kill you now-" She stopped when she saw the man do something he hadn't done in decades.
He grinned.
"All according to plan." Rebuke smiled actually making the woman pause in shock for a split second. "I am immortal which means I no longer have a use for…this!" Rebuke roared as his left hand began to glow before he stabbed it into his chest.
*KABOOOOOOOM!*
"What!?" The woman shouted as a pillar of white light engulfed the two. She went to attack only to find herself being grabbed from behind by a white haired woman with crimson eyes whom was decked out in a white kimono. "YOU!"
BGM: END
"You have won the first battle, but the war is mine." Rebuke declared as he held his heart in his left hand while aiming his gun into Rebuff's forehead. "Data transfer!" Rebuke roared as he pulled the trigger.
*BANG!*
Rebuff's eyes snapped open glowing with white energy.
*BOOOOOM*
The woman finally threw her captor off of her whom quickly recovered and floated in front of the dust cloud that the explosion created. Rebuke stepped out of the smoke with a smirk.
"The Black Room existed for one purpose, to gather information on your powers and weaknesses. Its purpose is done now. "Rebuke drawled. "Your strength is based on ignorance, meaning those of us who learn the truth, one of the various meanings behind our respective lives…are able to harm you."
"You insolent…"
"I sent Rebuff here to die, mainly because you need to destroy things sometimes to make them better." Rebuke chuckled before narrowing his eyes. "It's a new game; you damned goddess and this time…" Rebuke trailed off as a white haired Rebuff appeared from the smoke as the hole in her chest healed rapidly. "It's co-op."
BGM: I burn (Feat. Casey Williams & Lamar Hall)- Jeff Williams
"I will not be stopped by you two!" The Goddess roared as Rebuff snapped her fingers.
"Toggle: God Mode." Rebuff muttered as her body was engulfed in a white aura. The Goddess barely had time to think before a knee was buried in her face, Rebuff smirked in when she heard a satisfying crunch. The Goddess flew back from the attack, but before she left an arms distance from Rebuff, she felt her ankle grabbed tightly as Rebuff slammed her into the ground before kicking her away and through a nearby mountain. "Payback bitch!" Rebuff shouted as she leapt towards where the Goddess went flying.
"She seems…different…" Rebuke's white haired summon said awkwardly as she blinked her ruby eyes in shock.
"She no longer has a heart of rage…but she is still pissed off." Rebuke muttered with a shrug.
"Should we help?"
"No the goddess has a fraction of her power, and can only die permanently if she's at full power. It's pointless for us but at least Rebuff can get accustomed to her true self."
"I meant help the Goddess." The summon said dryly as she watched their arch nemesis get elbowed in the face through another mountain as Rebuke laughed and began to video tape the fight.
"World Star!" Rebuke shouted with a laugh as he pulled out his camera phone. "She's going to make a hell of a Game master one day."
(LIAG Urban Dictionary Definition [This is the exact definition in the urban dictionary]: "World Star": First thing out someone's mouth when shit is about to go down. Usually shouted when a fight breaks out. Guaranteed to see at least one titty and a KO. Originates from worldstarhiphop (a popular website that showcases upcoming rappers, latest cultural/world news, butt-naked women, many fights, etc.)
"You're certainly a lot less…tense suddenly"
"It's a new era; we need to change how we operate." Rebuke said seriously as he continued to tape the fight with plan to upload it later on the internet.
-With Rebuff-
Releasing a quick left jab in to the Goddess' face, Rebuff followed up with a powerful right to her enemy's side before stepping forward and wrapping her right arm around her opponent's neck as her feet left the ground. The Goddess' teeth gritted in frustration as she found herself falling to her back as Rebuff landed.
"RKO!" Rebuke shouted in the distance.
(LIAG Helpful real-World knowledge: An RKO is a signature move of the famous wrestler Randy Orton it doesn't matter if wrestling is fake or not, that move looks freaking amazing.)
*KRACKABOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
-Space-
A white dome erupted from the point of impact and began to grow in size demolishing the planet as it did so. It wasn't long before the alternate earth had exploded into a hellish fire ball. Eventually Rebuff could be seen swinging the Goddess around by her hair in anger before releasing her into the direction of the sun.
"Dragon throw!" Rebuff shouted as the woman flew away.
-Sun-
"I can't fight her at all!" The Goddess thought in shock before growling as Rebuff appeared above the star with her fist cocked back. "You win this round Game Master, but I will return for you all." The Goddess thought as she disappeared in a black flash just as Rebuff's fist connected to the star. The large fire ball distorted for a second before seemingly imploding on itself and vanishing completely. Rebuff roared in anger as her opponent escaped her.
In her mind she had failed.

-Later: ?-
Rebuff now found herself kneeling in front of Rebuke in a large white office with a frown.
"She escaped Master, I have failed you and I have lost a few of our men. I'll gladly accept my punishment." Rebuff swore making Rebuke nod.
"So you shall." Rebuke drawled as he aimed his gun at her.
*BANG!*
*Clang*
Rebuff blinked in confusion when her collar suddenly fell to the ground.
"It's time for a change Lady Reb." Rebuke drawled as he sat at his desk. "We're going to do things differently. We no longer have to stoop to her level to get the information we need, so now it is time to move on to phase two. We will begin recruiting heroes; some will be former members of X7 some will be new. We need to provide an inviting atmosphere for them so now our code of conduct will be overhauled."
"What-what are you saying?" Rebuff frowned in confusion making Rebuke sigh.
"In an effort to make you stronger I seemed to have forgotten that you are a person and I apologize. I am no longer your Master, simply your Boss and hopefully friend." Rebuke said as he gestured to the door. "You are an employee now, and you can come and go as you please. I just hope you can give an old fool one more chance to prove himself."
"You've been my sole purpose for living for nearly as long as I can remember." Rebuff said quietly before her eyes narrowed. "I will fight and die for you just like always Mas-Boss." Rebuff declared making Rebuke frown.
"Why?" The Game Master questioned as Rebuff turned her back to him.
*Flashback*
"Please work, please work…" Rebuke muttered in the pillar of light just as Rebuff's eyes opened. For a split second she felt her heart beat and was confused until she saw both his pained expression and the hole in his chest. Her eyes widened as her power exploded.
*Flashback: End*
"Because now we have each other's hearts…even if you don't realize it yet." Rebuff thought before glancing back at him. "Because my life is like a game and I know I can only win it with you by my side." Rebuff stated with a small smile as she left the new office.
*FLASHBACK: END*
"…and now after a few years of insane adventures I'm here." Rebuff finished explaining to a wide-eyed Wanda.
"You RKO'd a planet into oblivion." Wanda gaped making Rebuff blush in embarrassment.
"I didn't know my limits at the time." Rebuff defended weakly.
"Whatever, anyway I'm just glad no one decided to take you up on your offer of fighting you for an instant win. We'd all die." Wanda said dryly making Rebuff pout as she really had wanted to fight someone it had been years sense she had a good battle. "So there are three of you, but someone who's even more powerful than you is missing…now what? Who takes his place?"
"My new unpaid intern of course! I mean he's been here since like day one" Rebuff smiled confusing the hell out of Wanda as she pulled out a phone.
-DP's Hotel-
"Honestly Dave, how the hell you ever talked me into this is beyond me." A brunette said tiredly as she lay in bed next to a smirking female vampire.
"You two couldn't deny my charm forever no matter how many times you told me to shut up." A brown haired man chuckled before frowning as his phone vibrated. "Hold on I have to take this." The man said as he left the room and entered the bathroom. He looked into the mirror as his frown dropped while his brown eyes began to turn violet. "Hello? Dave speaking."
["Oh be quiet Dave or should I say Kane?"] Rebuff drawled making his eyes widen slightly in surprise.
"Rebuff? T-to what do I owe the pleasure?"
["*Sigh* I know you like the Marvel U hell you're named after the Scarlet Spider, I knew you had a slightly unhealthy obsession but really? You actually stowed away on your superior's mission? Did you really think I wouldn't notice you? You are terrible at playing Cannon fodder. You're lucky you are my favorite foot soldier even if you are a little…off."]
"I am so fired aren't I?" Kane sighed as his superior finally confronted him, he had thought he was stealthy too. Kane pouted it wasn't fair that only the main three got to visit worlds!
["Like I said you are my favorite minion. So no despite your blatant fanboyism over anything Marvel and complete disregard of protocol I have a proposition for you."]
Now this peaked his interests.
"Really?"
["Your loyalty to the Boss is only second to mine-don't roll your eyes, I can feel you doing it-and you are easily the most skilled operative we have. Jorn has been missing for long…too long. It's…It's time we move on and write him off as MIA. The big three have an opening, the question is: are you interested?"
…
…
…
["Hello?"]
"Sorry my brain shut down, hell fucking yes I accept!" Kane said with a near fangirl-like squeal.
["Settle down soldier. We're moving your stuff from the barracks to Jorn's former suite. Welcome to the real X7, congratulations."]
"You will not regret this ma'am! I swear on my soul I will not let you or the Boss down! Rebuke, Rebuff, and Kane the big three! Together we shall save the multiverse."
["Yeah about that…your name just doesn't sound well with ours-Jorn had a similar problem but was too stubborn; being a part of the big three is a big deal. You need to bring your best self every single day of every week for every month and year maybe even decade. As of now Dave, Kane, or whatever you call yourself now is dead and gone."]
"Eh? Then who will I be Lady Reb?" Kane questioned in confusion.
["From now on you will go by your new code name which has been appropriately picked due to your skills. As of today you are the Game Master…Rewrite."]
