I just want to thank everyone for supporting this so far! Also, if this were to have an ending, it would be Daisy from Beyond the Boundary/Kyokai no Kanata. Believe me when I say that it fits...

Chapter 3: Everything is a bigger pain in the ass now...

April 3rd

Dammit... Not again. "You calling me a liar?!" Once again, I end up in the middle of this...

"I AIN'T CALLING YOU FOR DINNER!" Two drunk idiots in this bar just started to break out in a fight. How did I get caught up in this? I told them that we're out of a special alcohol at the moment, and only had enough for one shot. The thing about this drink is that it's said you get anyone drunk. If you're already drunk from other drinks, then this will cure it. The drink was poured in a shot glass in front of me right now.

I sighed as I had to be the one to end this fight. But, I saw two needles fly out of nowhere to hit them in the neck. "You guys are too noisy!" My head turned to the stairs that lead to the home that we live in, and on those steps stood Ayane. She was dressed in casual clothes this time. T-shirt, jeans, socks and all that. "Geez!"

"Thanks for stopping them." I saw taking out the needles, hearing snoring coming out the both of them. I dragged the two of them out of the bar to the outside then coming back in. I got back to work, washing the mugs and making sure nothing else would happen. Things got crazy on those days, as you can see. Ever since Ayane moved in, I've been dealing with hell from the very beginning.

Just last month I had some people come shouting in my face as to where Ayane was. They told me about some rumor that she was here. When that purple haired girl came in to see everyone there, she took them down like nothing. I felt like I'm her keeper while she gets to mooch off of us.

Ayane walked up to the front, looking at the shot glass. "Seriously... All for just some drink?" I turned around to see she took a sip. I panicked for a moment, but tried to remain calm. She placed it down on the countertop with her head lowered.

I placed my hand on her head, shaking her a bit. "Yo. Wake up." On that, I heard giggling... It scared me. Ayane raised up with a smile on her face with a blush.

"Itsuki! You look so cute~!" She used her finger to pet my chin... "WAAHHH! Everyday so awesome! Thanks for taking me in!"

"You're drunk..."

"I'M NOT DRUNK!" Ayane shouted at me as she grabbed me by the collar... It got to the point that she started to cry. She hugged me tightly as I heard her sobbing into my chest... It was pretty awkward considering that she had to go over the counter to hug me... "I'm sorry! I'M SORRY!" She looked up at me, then started crying harder while shaking me. It was getting so out of hand that I saw the opprotunity. When she yawned, I grabbed the shot and poured it in that damn mouth of hers so she would shut up... And it worked. "What happened?"

"You don't remember?"

"I just remember taking a sip of that drink and blacking out." She rubbed the back of her head from the confusion... "I don't feel any pain. Like a hangover... Say," Ayane grabbed the shot glass as she examined it. "Where do you get this drink anyway?"

"We made it." I answered. "We're famous for it."

"Bullshit."

"Look." I held a white open bottle, seeing that it had 'Mori Family' written in kanji characters. "Told you."

"Dammit..." She twitched her eye brow from being wrong. "So, you made it?"

"Well, it was more of Josuke and Mina that made it... I was the guinea pig..." I still have nightmares! Those two bastards tied to a freaking chair so I wouldn't run away!

My attention was focused as Ayane shook the bottle as little droplets came into her hand. She smelled it while focusing on it... "It smells like..." She took two wiffs of it. "Like one of those juice drinks you buy from a vending machine."

"But it said to taste like normal sake, which what the drunk me said in a report Mina took."

"Oh yeah!" Ayane dropped the bottle and wiped the droplets off with a napkin. "Where are those two anyway?"

"Their at work for a couple of days." I told her. "Don't worry though, they'll be back." I started to wash dished until I heard the door open. I saw it was a man, standing tall. His hair was swayed back into a ponytail, wearing a black suit with loafers. I could see a gold watch on his right wrist as well... When I met him that day, I felt intimidated. "Hey there," I welcomed him. "Sit wherever you want." When I was about to wiped the counter, I saw Ayane freaking out!

"Ma-Ma-Ma-!"

"Ma?" I questioned. "Mali? Mattress?" I tried to figure out what she was studdering about. Until she finally said it.

"M-Master Ryu?!"

"Hello, Ayane..." His voice was deep, calm and cool. This man was all serious. He took a seat at the counter next to Ayane. "So, you're living here?"

"W-WHAT?! What are you talking about?!" Everything she was saying was obvious that she was lying.

This man held up a finger, indicating one drink. I took out a glass with some whisky on the counter, filling it up for him. I was about to take the bottle away, but he held up his hand to stop. I did what I told, and let it sit there for him. He took a drink without any gag reflex. "Excuse me," He started a conversation. "Aren't you a bit young to run this bar?"

"That may be the case." I came out of the counter, heading into the supply closet. "But I gotta run the place when everyone else is out." I informed him, taking out a mop and bucket to clean up the place. I heard the jukebox changing music, as the place was now playing with jazz music.

When done, I saw that the bottle of whisky was almost done and this guy didn't look drunk in the slightest. "So, Mori?" He spoke again. "That's a fine surname. What about your first?"

"Itsuki."

"Itsuki Mori?" He swirled the drink around slowly. "Do me a favor, will you?" He quirked my eye brow. "Look after this one." He pointed at a sweating Ayane! She was nervous as hell!

"A-Ayane? You okay?" I waved my hand in front of her face with no response.

"Don't worry, she's fine." This Ryu person told me. He then stretched out his hand, making Ayane jump. "I'm Ryu, Ryu Hayabusa." He said to me, looking at me straight in the eyes. I gave him a frim grip of a handshake. "Serve me another drink sometime."

"Yeah, sure." He left alot of money behind... 6000 yen... "Uh, this amount goes beyong of what you owe me. You need your change."

"Keep it." He left the bar, making me confused as to why everything tensed up. Behind me, I heard a loud thud slamming onto the counter. I saw Ayane was the thud, with her head on top of the counter like she let out a lot of stress.

I walked up to her, placing my hand on her shoulder and giving her a gentle nudge. "You okay?" She shot up then grabbed me by the collar again.

"YOU IDIOT! DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE JUST DONE?!" I shook my head slowly with the screaming Ayane only getting more pissed. She finally let go of me to place her head back on the counter. "Forget it... I'm gonna die by humiliation when I go back to the village..."

I patted her back before pouring her a drink. "I don't normally do this," I gave her a cup filled with sake. "But you're gonna need it." I held up my cup to her. "Cheers."

"Cheers." We drank the sake together, before I put them away. "Hey, where are your brothers?"

"Working." I answered cleaning up the mugs with a dish rag. "They'll be back later tonight."

Everything was quiet and peaceful, until a knock came to the door. I bet it's someone from class... When I opened it, I saw someone I didn't want to see at all. "Good afternoon, Mori-san!" I immediatley closed the door from that face... When I turned around, I saw Ayane was gone. The door opened again to see Mino Katsuragi enter my house/bar. "That wasn't very nice, Mori-san."

"Jesus... What do you want?"

"Actually it's about that girl..." Everything felt tense at that moment, as he pulled out a magazine. It had Ayane in a picture... I'm questioning the fact on how they got a picture of her in a bikini. "LOOK! LOOK! This is the girl!" He slapped it on the counter. "I had a feeling your friend looked familiar! To think that our own Outcast! The one who lives in a bar, the one who keeps to himself about everything, the one who is able to beat many people; Is the one to make friends with such a beauty!" He grabbed me by the shoulder and sobbed into my chest. "I'm jealous! YOU'RE SO LUCKY! SO LUCKY!"

"She's a pain in the ass..." I told him. "Now get out. I'm closing early."

"H-huh?!" I pushed him out of the store then locked the door. I heard him knocking on the door. "M-Mori-san! My magazine! Please open up!" My hand grabbed it then slid it out the door as he grabbed it. "See you Monday." I heard his footsteps grow faint, then a kunai stabbed the wall near my face.

"Pain in the ass, huh?" My eyes met hers, seeing those delicate fingers spin the kunai. "I'm still in the room." I just gave her blank look before walking up the stairs... "Not so fast!" Her hand gripped my shoulder hard, seeing the way she looked at me didn't mean that this was going to be good...

And I was right. We went shopping for a good 2 hours now... But I'm the one holding the bags. Ayane walked carrying nothing as a smirk came to her face. "Pain in the ass, am I?"

"Yes. Yes you are." I answered while having back pain from all of the damn bags she made me carry.

I look like a bag boy... I wished on that day that at least SOMETHING would happen. I regret wishing for that though. "Itsuki..." Ayane got my attention. "We're being followed..." When I turned to look, Ayane grabbed me by the arm. "Come on, Darling~! We've got more places to go!" The way she dragged me along felt like she was taking me away to a jail cell. "Don't look...! Just keep going!"

"Uh okay?" Was all I could reply with. It was still strange to me, until I saw something on the roof tops going super fast. It was a woman wearing a blue dress, and her hair was like a red-orange. I didn't know who she was at that moment, until we heard sirens. Lord knows what I got myself into that day...

After everything I had to deal with, I saw people walking faster. "Come on." Was all she said, before we head straight back to the bar. "Listen," I paided attention, setting the bags down. "I'm heading out, don't follow me." Was all she said before goign behind the dressing wall. Her clothes came off as I saw them hanging on the top. "Don't worry about me,"

"I am worrying." I told her setting my ass on the couch.

"Doesn't sound like it."

"Whatever."

"Look." She came out, wearing a purple costume with a mask gripped into her hands. "I'll be back, okay?" The purple haired girl stepped outside as she placed on the mask. Before she took off, I quickly walked to her and grabbed her wrist... Something in me... Just wanted to hold her. "What is it?"

"Promise me something?" I asked, looking at me with confusion. "Promise me you'll be back okay." I said to her, seeing the blush on her even behind the mask. "Afterall," I let go of her to smile. "You're the very first Ninja I've ever met."

"Thanks..." Ayane did the most amazing jump I've seen. She jump in the air gracefully with a backflip, running on the buildings with ease.

After she was gone, I went back to down to the bar. I flipped the switch of the neon light sign to say OPEN. It was only about 7:30, so anyone could be coming in. I turned on the T.V. as a wrestling match was going on.

"GOOD EVENING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" Said one of the announcers. Everything was like it was. This kept me at bay, until I heard someone coming in.

It was a couple. The man wore a white suit wearing a gold necklace and silver watch. He looked to be about in his late 20's from the looks of it. The woman? What can I say? She had medium length dark brown hair, wearing a revealing dress. Her left hand had a ring on it... I can't lie, she was very beautiful. They looked very happy together. "Yo! Give me the finest you got!"

"Coming right up." I said getting out two champaigne glasses. Everything was like it was, these two were enjoying themselves as they flirted with each other.

"Oh Sweetie~! You're so naughty~!"

"Looks who's talking." He said pouring the drink into her cleavage as he drank it. Next thing I saw was him motorboating the woman. Yep, their drunk on champaigne and their affection towards one another. My gaze shifted to the T.V. as I saw a guy with a mohawk clotheslining two other guys.

Buisness was like it should be. People came in, had drinks, then left. Everything looked like it was normal, but it didn't FEEL like it was normal. Why? The feeling of just being here should be okay... I wasn't okay. In fact, I was worrying my head off but I didn't know it. "After everyone left, I was left alone for God knows how long...

The main event of the match started. Red Oni and Blue Demon appeared on stage, making everyone go crazy with excitement. When the match happened, I saw their opponents getting dizzy, signalling Blue Demon's main attack.

"HERE IT IS FOLKS! HERE IT IS!" Everyone got ready. "THE DEADLY DROP KICK OF THE HEAVENS!"

"I-" He ran to the rope first then ran at the opponent. "ZU-" Blue Demon jumped straight into the air with his legs cocked and ready to fire. And he did. The kick made direct contact with the opponent's face. "MI!"

He went on the ground and made the pinfall. After all of that, I turned off the T.V. so it could rest. No one else would be coming in... I know that for a fact. But... I wanted to wait.

My eyes were getting heavy... Ayane had been gone for a long time. It was 11:30 on that day... I gave up waiting and went to the neon light sign. As soon as I was about to turn it off, someone opened the door, almost hitting me in the face. "Is anyone here?!" I heard the voice of a girl, but I didn't see her face. I knocked on the door, getting her attention... That's when I saw her. She was the one I saw jumping on the roofs...

"Hi." I said walking away from the window to fully see the girl... Then I saw Ayane. "What the-?!"

"Where do you want me to put her?" She asked me.

"Uh, just... On the couch upstairs." I said to her so she followed me. Ayane was hurt, bleeding on her arm. Her clothes were torn! The girl placed her on the couch as I immediatly went to get the first-aid kit.

It took time to patch her up, so I sat there watching her. "Thank you." The girl said sitting near me. "I'm very grateful."

"No prob." Was all I could say. I got a good look of her... She was cute, and had the same face like Ayane's. "So, who are you anyway?"

"Me?" She asked.

"No, the person next to you." I responded with her ACTUALLY looking to her right and left. "Wow..."

"Oh! That was a joke. I'm sorry." She laughed nervously. "But, I'm Kasumi. It's nice to meet you."

"Itsuki Mori." I said to her. "So what, are you like... Sisters?"

"Um, yes we are." She answered. "I hope she's not troubling you."

"She is." I went to the kitchen to grab her a drink. "But it's nothing I can't handle. Trust me." I handed her the drink as she took it from my hands. I saw down near the couch, sitting near Ayane.

Everything seemed to feel like it was long... "Um... Thank you very much!" I saw Kasumi bowing. "For taking care of her!" The way she was so polite, if only the one on that couch was like her. Some time passed and it started to rain down on the town. "Itsuki-san?"

"Yeah?"

"Is it alright that I sleep here?"

"Knock yourself out." Was all I said. "I know I am. If I don't then I'll get my ass kicked by my brothers."

"Thank you!" My body got up again with my legs guiding me to the closet. I grabbed enough blankets and pillows for us, tossing one to Kasumi. I gently tucked Ayane in so that she was comfy and so she wouldn't nag at me.

I sat near her again, placing the blanket on me so I was warm... You may not be able to see it... But I'm glad Ayane was back...

The morning came back to the world, and I opened my eyes. I looked around to see if I was still in my house... I was. They shifted to see if Kasumi was still there, but wasn't. The good thing, there was no mess.

Ayane was still asleep thankfully. I'm happy... That she's okay.

My hands grabbed the nearest piece of paper, then started writing a note. After that, I found scotch tape and taped it to Ayane's forehead so she wouldn't ignore it.

I left the bar to see everything after the night. Water was in the streets and the morning was still in the sky. It was Sunday morning, so getting food would be a problem...

"YOU BITCH!" I heard something from around the corner. I ran to it see people crowding around something... They moved as some guy's body fell hard on the floor... Then a lot more.

"Wow! She's so cool!"

"What a babe!"

"You think she'll go out with me?"

I didn't know anything at that, until I heard that voice... "Hey! You okay?" My eyes widen. I saw what she was wearing. She wore a green and white t-shirt with a cow print on it, with a jean skirt. On her legs were thigh high white socks sneakers. Her hot pink hair had a ponytail to the side, and it made her stand out.

I had to make sure I was right... Her face came up as she made eye contact with me... Those red colored eyes of hers... "Honoka-chan..." I called out to her.

The girl looked at me for a moment, a look of shock, sadness, happiness and hesitation... It was her...

"Itsuki-kun..."
