"Okay, here you go. Whoa, watch your step."

The turtles looked up to see April with her back to them. She seemed to be leading something or someone in. There was a small yelp and a thud. April quickly leans down to help the person up.

"Sorry, April." The voice identified the person as a girl.

"Hi April." Mikey waved. Said girl looked over.

"Hi, Mikey." Her attention slipped from the girl and when she walked forward she fell again. "Oh no! I'm sorry!" April quickly helped her up.

"It's not your fault." The girl said, lifting her head. Donnie's eyes widened. April helped her cousin up and Katie gripped April's shoulder so she knew where to go.

"What's up with her eyes?" Mikey asked. Katie sighed.

"I'm blind." She said. Mikey let out an awkward laugh.

"You're joking, right? Those are contacts, right?"

"No. I'm blind. An idiot in my class mixed the wrong chemicals in science and when I went to fix it he slipped in a drop of reactive acid and it exploded in my face." Katie replied. "Why are we here, April?"

"Um guys. This is my cousin, Katie. Katie, these are Mikey, Leo, Raph and Donnie." April spoke up. Katie's head perked up and she felt a small smile grace her lips.

"Donnie. As in Donatello?" Her jaw dropped as she gasped. She lifted her hands and hesitantly reached out. "Where?" April raised her eyebrow and turned to Donnie questioningly. He chuckled nervously before walking towards Katie. Her hands hit his chest and she lifted her head despite the fact she couldn't see. "It is you, isn't it? I knew I just had to find you again, to say thank you properly! Did you save my friends too?"

"Uhm, not exactly." Donnie muttered.

"Oh, I remember her." Leo said, realisation washing over him. April watched them, her confusion growing.

"Okay, what's going on, you guys? How do you know my cousin?" She asked them, folding her arms. Katie turned her head towards the direction of April's voice. She opened her mouth to speak but Raph beat her to it.

"Well, her and her friend were ambushed by some guys and she kicked one of them in the face and they ran, basically. We had to save them. I got this ginger girl's attackers. Leo and Mikey saved this other girl with kind of brownish red hair." He gestured to areas of his arm to hint at hair lengths.

"April, they saved Erin and Zoe. And me. I'm really grateful." Katie spoke up. "Thank you for taking me here, April." April stared at her cousin before smiling softly.

"So, you can still fight blind? That's pretty cool. But how did you know the guy was close enough for you to hit him?" April tilted her head. She was curious to know.

"Are you kidding? He had alcohol on his breath and his body odour was disgusting!" Katie scrunched up her nose in disgust. She moved a strand of hair behind her ear when it fell out of her ponytail, turning her cloudy eyes towards Donnie and touching his shell. She froze, pausing for a bit. She remembered the rough texture from before. "I never did ask, did I? What... what are you?" Donnie let out a nervous laugh and pulled away.

"Oh, i-it's just a costume, don't be sca-"

"Just tell her, Donnie. She doesn't care about looks or race. Or species. Only personality. Plus, she can't see, remember?" April looked amused. Donnie sighed, biting his lip nervously.

"Fine. But if she runs away screaming and hitting stuff, it's your fault. Okay. I'm a turtle mutant along with the others and so yeah, please don't run away! We're nice, I swear we a-"

"Wow, really? How is that possible? Human technology hasn't developed that well, has it?" Katie was amazed and excited, which shocked the turtles. A paper door slid open and Master Splinter walked through, glancing at the blind girl.

"We have another human in our midst?" He questioned. Katie's head turned to him and he raised an eyebrow at the sight of her clouded blue eyes.

"Is that another turtle?" She asked softly.

"No, That's our sensei, Master Splinter. He's a rat." Mikey stated, swinging his legs from where he sat. Katie nodded.

"All right. That's really interesting. Mikey, that was your name, right?" Katie mentally started matching the names to the voice.

"Yeah, that's right!" Mikey declared happily, grinning. Master Splinter made his way towards the young female to examine her face. Katie gasped, feeling his presence was close to her and gulped.

"What happened to your eyes, young one?" Splinter hesitantly hovered his hand over her face. Katie knew it was there and grabbed his wrist, allowing him to trace old scars across her face.

"A science explosion." Katie said simply. The pink skin her scar was traced around the edges before Splinter pulled back.

"Your vision is impossible to be recovered, as I can see. I apologise." Splinter tilted his head down.

"No need to be sorry, sir. I've gotten used to it. Would you mind if my friends came here? I need to prove that your students are mutants and that they're not as bad as they may look." Katie felt hands grab her shoulders and a voice yelled at her while the person holding her shook her shoulders.

"Are you crazy?!" Raph cried, looking annoyed.

"Raph! Let her go!" Leo commanded, pulling the red mask-wearing turtle off the blind girl. She fell backwards, about to fall on her backside when Splinter grabbed her shoulders to steady her.

"Okay, I'm sorry for asking! Jeez." Katie sighed, straightening up. "Thank you, Master Splinter, was it?"

"Yes. You seem to be good at identifying with touch and sound. An odd yet unique trait." He stated. Katie blushed slightly and smiled, knowing he was complimenting her.

"Thank you." She replied. April glanced at her watch and frowned.

"Sorry, guys. We have to head off. Our friends want pizza and I'm treating hem to Pizza Gyoza." April grabbed Katie by the shoulders and led her out.

"Good bye." Katie called before they disappeared. They soon made their way up to the surface and walked towards Murikami-san's restaurant. April noticed Erin and Zoe waiting outside for them patiently. Well, impatiently in Erin's case. She was shifting around. She glanced up to see the two and exclaimed loudly.

"Finally! I wanna try these pizza gyoza and you were, like, hours late!"

"Sorry, Erin. And no, we're on time. You guys were early." April stated, laughing. They entered the restaurant.

"Hi, Murikami-san!" Katie called. The blind man lifted his head at the sound of her voice.

"Hello, Katie! I'm guessing April is with you?"

"Yeah. We brought a couple of friends to try your amazing Pizza Gyoza." April called. The friends sat down and watched/listened to the man get to work skilfully. The smell wafted to their nose and they inhaled deeply. Soon, the meals were placed before them. Soon, Zoe and Erin we're staring at the food curiously before eating a bit. Their eyes shone brightly and they let out amazed gasps.

"Wow, this is AMAZING!" Erin cried.

"Delicious!" Zoe declared.

"Brilliant!"

"Heaven on Earth!"

Katie and April laughed at their reactions and the other two started to scoff down the food quickly before going for seconds.
