Bella

I woke up to someone whispering loudly. My eyes opened to slits and I could see Alice standing in front of my bed while Edward sat in my rocking chair.

"Alice?" I asked feeling groggy.

"Bella! You are awake. Finally." She said.

I stood up as Edward swiftly came towards me and kissed my forehead.

"Good morning." He said gently.

"Yeah." I yawned hugely feeling embarrassed. Man was I tired.

"Alice what are you doing here? Charlie? Where is he?" I asked getting curious.

"Charlie left early." Edward explained. "And Alice is here to –

Alice cut him off. "I am here to take you shopping." She put her arms out as if announcing something great.

I groaned.

"Oh come on Bella. You can't avoid it. The wedding isn't far away. You have to be ready." She said getting annoyed.

I looked at Edward for some support but he just smiled at me apologetically.

"Bella, why don't you go? It might get your mind off of things."

"Fine. Let me just get ready." I grabbed my bag of toiletries and headed towards the bathroom.

"Yes!" Alice squealed. Her voice was like bells jingling in the gentle wind.

After a quick shower I put on my jeans and t-shirt attire that I knew Alice would despise but I didn't care.

"Okay. Lets go." I said as I entered my room. Edward was there but Alice wasn't.

"Where is Alice?"

"Outside in the car being impatient. Don't you want some breakfast?" he asked.

He came towards me and put his arms around me and kissed me until I was gasping for breath.

"Breakfast…right." I tried to calm myself.

Edward laughed and picked me up and headed towards the stairs and into the kitchen.

He sat me down in the chair and opened the fridge and got the milk out. Realizing he was making me cereal I stopped him.

"I think I'll just have a granola bar and some orange juice." I told him. I just wanted to eat fast and get over with the shopping.

Surprised at the change he stopped pouring the milk in the bowl.

"Okay."

"Sit. I'll get it myself." I grabbed a bar and ate it in a couple of bites. I poured myself a glass and gulped it down. I put the glass in the sink and turned to the watching eyes of Edward.

"Okay let's go."

"You know she is not going to let me come with you guys."

"But…but then I won't have any fun." I pouted.

He chuckled and put his arm around my waist. He let me towards the door. Just then it opened and let in Alice inside.

"Edward…" she looked and sounded worried.

"What is it Alice?" Edward asked her.

"One of us is coming. One of us. I think." She told him.

I felt my stomach drop and Edward tense up next to me.

"What do you mean 'you think'?" he asked her.

"She seems different. I can't tell if she is vegetarian…" she trailed off and quickly went out the door. Edward followed her pulling me with him. Just then a black car pulled up in my drive way.
