Recap

"Time for bed missy." I pout,

"But i don't wanna." I whine childishly, all the same i climb into bed and she grins turning out the light for me, "Night Martha, get some sleep your self alright?" she nods and closes the door... I sigh leaning back on the pillow heavily, In truth i had been worrying about it, him getting closer to the truth i mean, his thoughts had been trying to seep into my mind as much as they could before i perfected a mental barrier, now i only felt a few of the strong emotions and the occasional thought slip through, but there are times like tonight that the barrier slips and he will feel or hear something, still everything was fine he hadn't figured it out yet. i lean over my bed and pull out a sketch book, flipping to the 5th page, i see my brothers eyes staring back at me and i slowly drift off to sleep.

XXX

This morning i had gotten up with a reluctant sigh and gotten into one of my tie dye blue dresses that stopped mid-thigh, and a matching head scarf, and for shoes white ballet flats. walking down stares i run into the Doctor, he was grinning madly, then it hit my ears... the dinging sound...

Billy was here.

XXX

"Welcome." The Doctor greeted, i crouched down,

"Hey." i say,

"Where am I?" Billy asked, I grin,

"Straight to the point I like that." I compliment,

"1969. Not bad,as it goes. You've got the moon landing to look forward to." The doctor assures i shake my head,

"Oh, the moon landing's brilliant. We went four times. Back when we had transport..." Martha looks pointedly at the doctor,

"I've been five times... No that's not right I'm going to go five times, sort of? It involves a TV." I shrug at their looks, "Future thing." they nod,

"Working on it!" The doctor answered Martha, at a really random time,

"How did I get here?" Billy asks interrupting our conversation,

"The same way we did. The touch of an angel." I interrupt,

"That's his way of sugar coating it, if you want the blunt version which is much easier to follow, you were touched by a statue that looks like an angel, and that sort of killed you in that time and sent you to a new one." I stand back up.

"Same one, probably," The doctor muses, i nod, "since you ended up in the same year." Billy went to get up, "No no no no no, don't get up. Time travel without a capsule, nasty."

"Hurt's like a bitch." i throw in,

"Catch your breath, don't go swimming for half an hour." he continued i hit the back of his head,

"That's for when you eat moron." i inform, he pouts rubbing his head, I didn't give him the pity he was looking for,

"I don't. I can't." Billy gasps,

"Fascinating race, the Weeping Angels. The only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely. No mess, no fuss, they just zap you into the past and let you live to death. The rest of your life used up and blown away in the blink of an eye. You die in the past, and in the present they consume the energy of all the days you might have had, all your stolen moments. They're creatures of the abstract. They live off potential energy." The doctor rants, Billy the poor bloke looked so lost,

"What in God's name are you talking about?" He demanded, i grin again, i liked him, it's a shame really,

"Trust me. Just nod when he stops for breath." Martha spoke, i nod,

"He does this a lot, she can't understand most of it, but he gets worse." the doctor carries on like we hadn't even spoke,

"Tracked you down with this. This is my timey-wimey detector."

"Temporal time anomaly detector." i input to him for the childish name,

"It goes ding when there's stuff. Also, it can boil an egg at 30 paces, whether you want it to or not, actually, so I've learned to stay away from hens. It's not pretty when they blow." I nod grimly at that statement, i really shouldn't have been with him that day, we went a few houses over to visit a neighbor their next door had a few hens in their back garden and he had just finished the detector...

"I don't understand. Where am I?"

"1969, like he says." Martha reminds him, i smile sadly,

"Normally, me and Phoenix would offer you a lift home since I've learned she can drive, but somebody nicked our motor. So I need you to take a message to Sally Sparrow." He told him rather rushed, i shake my head, he'd missed off the important part, and what was this 'We' and 'Our' business.

"I'm sorry, Billy, I am very, very sorry. It's gonna take you a while." I whisper, he looked at me strangely before he got that something bad was going to follow the apology.

XXX

The Doctor had just finished explaining everything whilst i gave him a letter for him to read and tell Sally as well as all of the things he'd need to start his new life.

"...And under no circumstances are you to look for her, it could tear a hole in the fabric of space and time and destroy two thirds of the universe!" he ranted,

"You really are a moron it's four sixth's of the universe that would be destroyed did you really not listen in class?" i demand before throwing a hand over my mouth, they all looked at me but i shrug, "Star thing, thing's just burst out." the Doctor looks unsure, Martha knows better but Billy looked convinced and a little pale.

We moved on and talked about the things he would be able to do and the jobs he would find.

XXX

Larry and Sally sat in front of the TV looking at the screen where a man and a woman sat, the doctor in his suit and Phoenix in the blue tie-dye dress,

"Okay, this is the one with the clearest sound. Slightly better picture quality on this one, but I don't-" Sally interrupted the man,

"Doesn't matter." she waved off,

"Okay. There they are." Larry spoke,

"The Doctor. And Phoenix." Sally informed,

"Who's the Doctor and Phoenix?" Larry questioned confused,

"He's the Doctor and she's Phoenix." Sally introduced,

"Yep. That's me." The Doctor spoke,

"And me." Phoenix piped up.

"Okay, that was scary." Sally whispered,

"No, it sounds like he's replying, but he always says that." Larry explained,

"Yes, he does." Phoenix spoke,

"And she says that." Larry informed,

"Yep, she does." The Doctor smiled slightly,

"They can hear us. Oh, my God, you can really hear us!" Sally said slightly excited and freaked out,

"Of course he can't hear us. Look! I've got a transcript, see, everything he says. "Yep, that's me". "And me". "Yes, he does". "Yep, she does". Next it's..."

"Are you going to read out the whole thing?" He said with both the Doctor and Phoenix, the latter two sounding slightly annoyed,

"Sorry." Larry apologized,

"Who are you?" Sally asked,

"We're time travelers. Or we were. We're stuck in 1969." the Doctor explained, suddenly another woman came on screen,

"We're stuck. All of space and time, he promised me. Now I've got a job in a shop, Phoenix is working in a bar, we've got to support him!" She complains,

"Martha!" The Doctor reprimanded, Phoenix laughed and nudged the Doctor,

"Leave her alone." Martha moved off frame,

"Sorry." She apologizes,

"I've seen this bit before." Sally said to Larry,

"Quite possibly." The Doctor answered,

"1969, that's where you're talking from?" Sally questioned,

"'Fraid so." the Doctor sighed,

"But you're replying to me. You can't know exactly what I'm gonna say, 40 years before I say it!" Sally groaned frustrated,

"38. And don't be so hasty it's a bad quality." Phoenix corrected and reprimanded,

"I'm getting this down! I'm writing in your bits." Larry exclaimed in excitement,

"How? How is this possible? Tell me!" Sally demanded ignoring Larry,

"Not so fast." Larry complained,

"People don't understand time. It's not what you think it is." Phoenix answered as though exasperated,

"Then what is it?" Sally asked,

"Complicated." Phoenix answered,

"Tell me." Sally urged,

"Very complicated. But i like your determination." Phoenix smiled, white teeth on show,

"I'm clever and I'm listening. And don't patronize me because people have died, and I'm not happy. Tell me." Sally shouted,

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff." Phoenix slapped the doctor's head "OW! What was that for." Phoenix just shook her head.

"Okay listen, forget the complicated stuff, it's like a ball of string nothing is straight and it makes untangling it all rather complicated, in fact my friend has a problem with time." Phoenix explained, it made a lot more sense than the Doctor's explanation.

"Yeah, I've seen this bit before. He said that sentence got away from him." Sally rolled her eyes at the same time as Phoenix,

"It got away from me, yeah." The Doctor echoes sounding distracted,

"Next thing you're going to say is, "Well, we can hear you"." Sally continued,

"Well, we can hear you." The Doctor echoed again,

"This isn't possible." Sally denied shaking her head,

"No. It's brilliant!" Larry breathed startling Sally as she had forgotten he was there,

"Not hear you exactly, but we know everything you're going to say." The Doctor corrected the statement.

"Always gives me the shivers, that bit." Larry informed,

"How can you know what I'm going to say?" Sally questioned, confused,

"Look to your left." Phoenix grinned and waved at the screen,

"What does she mean by, "Look to your left"? I've written tons about that on the forums. I think it's a political statement." Larry theorized,

"She means you. What are you doing?" Sally asked looking over his shoulder,

"I'm writing in your bits. So I've got a complete transcript of the whole conversation. Wait until this hits the net. This will explode the egg forums." Larry explained with enthusiasm, Sally walked back to the screen,

"We've got a copy of the finished transcript. It's on our Auto-cue." The Doctor pointed at the screen,

"How can you have a copy of the finished transcript? It is still being written." Sally inquired skeptically,

"I told you. We're time travelers. We got it in the future. And Phoenix said this had to happen." The Doctor shrugged,

"What do you mean had to happen?" Sally asked,

"This get's a little weird but the basic is i know his personal future and because I'm here I need to make sure everything goes right or something could turn out horribly wrong." Phoenix explained, "Honestly though don't give it to much thought you'll get a headache." Phoenix waved her off as she went to open her mouth,

"Okay, let me get my head 'round this. You're reading from a transcript of a conversation you're still having? Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey and Phoenix know's the future because it has to happen."

" wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey." the Doctor sighed,

"Actually, never mind that." Sally turns to Larry, "You can do shorthand?"

"So?" Larry shrugged,

"What matters is we can communicate. We have got big problems now. They've taken the blue box, haven't they? The angels have the phone box." The Doctor stressed,

"The angels have the phone box! That's my favorite, I've got it on a tee-shirt!" Larry informed Phoenix smiled,

"I've had that on a T-shirt to, it was great, shame it burned." Phoenix sighed,

"What do you mean, angels? You mean those statue things?" Sally queried,

"Creatures from another world." The Doctor spoke, they looked over at the Angel,

"But they're just statues." Sally contradicted,

"Only when you see them." Phoenix whispered ominously,

"What does that mean?" Sally asked Phoenix sighed and rubbed her temples,

"You shouldn't have asked that, he's gonna go on a rant now."

"Lonely assassins, they were called. No-one knows where they came from. They're as old as the universe, or very nearly. They've survived this long as they have the most perfect defense system ever evolved. They are quantum-locked. They don't exist when being observed. The moment they're seen by any other living creature they freeze into rock. No choice. It's a fact of their biology. In the sight of any living thing, they literally turn to stone. And you can't kill a stone. Course, a stone can't kill you either. But then you turn your head away, then you blink, and oh, yes it can!" The Doctor spoke with slight dread in his voice,

"Don't take your eyes off that." Sally ordered Larry in a hushed voice, Larry peered at the statue,

"That's why they cover their eyes. They're not weeping, they can't risk looking at each other. Their greatest asset is their greatest curse. They can never be seen. The loneliest creatures in the universe. And I'm sorry, I am very, very sorry, it's up to you now." The Doctor finished,

"What am I supposed to do?" Sally asked,

"The blue box, it's our time machine. There is a world of time energy in there they could feast on forever. The damage they can do can switch off the sun. You have got to send it back to us!" The Doctor commanded, urgency in his voice,

"How? How?" Sally shouted,

"And that's it, I'm afraid. There's no more from you on the transcript, that's all I've got. I dunno what stopped you talking, but I can guess. They're coming. The angels are coming for you. But listen, your life could depend on this. Don't blink! Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast, faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink! Good luck!" The Doctor shouted,

"It should be fine from what i saw and remember you survive." Phoenix smiled as she waved at the screen froze.

"No, don't, you can't!" Sally shouted,

"I'll rewind him!" Larry assured her,

"What good would that do?!" Panic struck sally's features, "You're not looking at the statue?" she realized,

"Neither are you." Larry pointed out, they look to see the statue is closer, it's face distorted, ugly and demonic.

"Keep looking at it. Keep looking at it!" Sally demanded

"There's just one, right, there's just this one. We're okay if we keep staring at this one statue, everything's gonna be fine." Larry tried to reassure himself,

"There's three more." Sally informed him, terror clear in her voice.

"Three?!" Larry shouted,

"They were upstairs, I think I heard them moving." Sally told him,

"Where? Three, moving where?" Larry panicked

"I'll look around, I'm going to check. Keep looking at this one, don't blink. Remember what he said, don't even blink!" Sally turned,

"Who blinks? I'm too scared to blink." Larry near shrieked,

"Okay. We're going to the door. Front door. Okay. We can't both get to the front door without taking our eyes off that thing. You stay here." Sally ordered as she turned again to make her way to the door,

"What?!" he gasped in fright, she was going to leave him!

"I'll be just round the corner, stay here!" She went around the corner and tried to open the door, it didn't work "They've locked it. They've locked us in!" She called back,

"Why?" Larry shouted in panic. It took Sally a moment to answer,

"I've got something they want." She informed.

"What?" Larry asked still not looking from the stone angel, well it looked more like a demon, with wings,

"The key, I took it last time I was here. They followed me to get it back. I led them to the blue box. Now they've got that!" Sally shouted

"Give them the key!" he begged,

"I'm gonna check the back door, you wait here." She orders, a desperate note in her voice,

"Give them the key, give them what they want!" Sally shook her head and back out, "Sally, no, what if they come behind me?!" Larry demanded,

"Hang on!" She urged, Larry tried to keep his eyes open he felt the strain in his eyes,

"Oh, God! Oh, God!" He cries out,

"It's locked!" Sally called back still trying to open it, Larry looked away from the angel for just a second, the angel advanced, when he looked back it was almost touching him, only looking back just in time to save his life.

"Sally! Sally!" He shouted whilst backing out of the room still not looking away, he blinked and it was right in front of him again,

"It won't open!" Sally repeated,

"Sally, please, I can't do this! Sally, hurry up! Where are you?!" He begged backing away faster,

"Larry! They've blocked off the back door, but there's a cellar. There might be a way out, delivery hatch or something." Sally informed, looking down the stairs,

"I'm coming! I can't stay here." Larry tells her.

XXX

Sally walked down the dark stairs a torch in her hand, when she reached the bottom, there in the middle of the room was a blue box, and scattered around the same room were 3 angels all weeping.

"Okay, boys, I know how this works. You can't move so long as I can see you. Whole world in the box, the Doctor says. Hope he's not lying, 'cause I don't see how else we're getting out. Oh, and there's your one." larry edged down the stairs still looking up making sure the other Angel couldn't move. but as he ran past to press his back to the box Sally turned to see another angel, it's hand pointing, "Oh and there's your one." she walked further into the room away from the fourth angel still looking at the others.

"Why's it pointing at the...light?" Larry whispered, fear and confusion working int his voice again. Suddenly the light flickers.

"Oh, my God! It's turning out the lights!" Sally panicked, she turned to the box and tried to open the box, her panic making it harder,

"Quickly!" He shouted as the light continued to flicker allowing the angels to get closer and closer,

"I can't find the lock!" She shouted,

"Sally, hurry up! Get it open! They're getting faster, Sally, come on!" He urged not making it any easier,

"It won't turn!" The lights continued to flash letting their death get closer,

"Sally!" Larry shrieked, the lock turned and they rush in closing the door not letting the stone angels get in. The Angels had surrounded the ship though. They looked around in amazement at the inside of the small blue box, suddenly it didn't seem so small. They moved further in still looking around when a glowing blue Doctor appeared further up on a different deck, a hologram,

"This is security protocol 712. This time capsule has detected the presence of an authorised control disc, valid one journey." He states, Larry takes the DVD out of his hoodie and opens it, the disc glows.

"Please insert the disc and prepare for departure." The Doctor ordered, and then he disappeared, but before they could look another hologram played, Phoenix.

"Follow on from security protocol 712. Sorry the idiot forgot to tell you to look for the DVD slot." and then she disappeared

"Looks like a DVD player. There's a slot." Sally informed the man, suddenly the box was rocked, by the angels no doubt,

"They're trying to get in!" Larry stated, the room continued to rock from side to side sending them in either direction,

"Well, hurry up then!" She called, he slipped the glowing disk in and was thrown away from the console, the box started to disappear around them,

"What's happening?" Larry demanded looking around in confusion,

"Oh, my God! It's leaving us behind! Doctor, no, you can't!" Larry ran to her and huddled beside her, "Doctor!" SHe shouted. Finally they are no longer in the box, crouched on the floor, they look around in panic,

"Look at them! Quick, look at them!" Sally ordered looking around frantically,

"I don't think we need to." Sally turned to him, he was right, "He tricked them, The Doctor tricked them. They're looking at each other. They're never gonna move again." He was so happy and Sally relieved, they weren't ging to die!"

XXX

We were all sat down outside enjoying the sun Martha and I had told the boss we had to leave town, i knew it wouldn't be long before the old girl showed up, and within a day i was proved right because right now i heard a sound that i had come to love, the wheezing of the TARDIS engine.

Martha, The Doctor and I jumped up and watched with excited smiles on our faces as the beautiful blue box appeared,

The Doctor went to open the door but flinched back,

"Whats wrong?" Martha asked,

"She's mad at him. Not very happy that she was left behind and the angels drained some of her energy." I walked past her and hugged the blue box, she grumbled silently,

'You and Theif left me behind.'

'It was hardly my fault, i had to stick to time lines, it was him that didn't ask how you felt.' i countered silently, she still grumbled but let me open the door and walk in.

"Oh I've missed you old girl, I really have, you're a sexy blue box." I mutter,

Both Martha and the Doctor walked in the latter getting his by the door, i snort.

"Good to be home." The doctor sighs happily, i nod as does Martha,

"I think I'm going to have a bath and put on some proper clothes." I laugh as i watch her walk off,

"I think we should pay a visit to Sally Sparrow. Don't you?" he grinned and nodded, "After I've changed clothes though." I hugged him and walked to my room. Walking in i smiled i heard running water from the bathroom, a shower... I pat the door in thanks gathering my normal clothes and walk into the room hopping into the shower and sighing in content.

XXX

Martha and I had taken a while to get ready which drove the doctor mad but we didn't care we walked into the console room together and we saw the doctor under the console,

"Have you broken something to fix again?" I ask with a raised eyebrow, he looks up sharply and bangs his head,

"OW!" Martha and I laugh, "No I'm just checking her circuits, she says she doesn't need to refuel yet but will soon." I pale at his words,

'Utopia.'

"Are we already there?" He got up and nodded,

"We should be just on time to not catch ourselves."

"What are you two talking about?" Martha questioned, I face her and grin,

"Were paying a visit to Sally." I then pranced out of the door the other two following and impromptly into Sally. "Well this is convenient." she looked up startled and saw us, her mouth dropped,

"We just thought we'd stop by to say hi." Martha waved,

"And to say thank you. Everything works out perfectly." the Doctor continues, I hug her and whisper,

"Say hi to Larry from us."

XXX

We only stayed a few minutes, answered a few questions and hopped back in the old girl, we had been in one place for way to long.

"So where do you want to go?" he asked,

"Surprise?" i asked Martha, she nodded.

"Yeah, Surprise us!" Martha repeated with a grin. The Doctor ran about the console setting coordinates a grin on his face...
