Hey everyone, I know, I'm late on the updating, really really late in fact. I've also been side tracked writing my own story without the guidelines of a show like this one. Oh and I got my acceptance letter for UNI! Plus I've found it hard to write this episode...
Thanks for sticking with this story I really love you all and I'VE BROKEN 100 FOLLOWERS! I nearly screamed when I saw that, I honestly didn't think this story would go so well or so long and this is the 24th chapter now, you guys have been with me for two years on this story and I can't thank you enough for it.
Enough of my emotional rant. Onto the story!
Sound of the Drums Part 1.
Enjoy!

Recap.
"Master. I'm sorry." The Doctor spoke his voice remorseful.
"Tough!" He runs around the console setting co-ordiantes,
The doctor holds out his sonic screwdriver,
"I can't hold out much longer, Doctor!" Jack cries,
In the TARDIS the console sparks,
Phoenix jerks up and the pained cry from the TARDIS.
"I'm sorry, he doesn't mean it he just needs to stop him." she whispers,
"Oh, no you don t!" The Master denied getting the control column moving again, "End of the universe. Have fun. Bye bye!"
"Doctor, stop him! He's got Phoenix!" Martha shouts. Martha and Jack fight off the Futurekind while The Doctor can only watch as the TARDIS de-materializes, Phoenix inside held hostage by his psychotic best friend...
XXX
18 months... 18 long bitterly painful months. I've lived in a house with the Master, with Harold Saxon, I've not spoken since he dragged me out of the TARDIS by my hair.
At first I refused meals, I nearly starved myself until I felt the Link begin to fade, I couldn't leave him alone, not like this. So I ate, at the beginning I rarely left my room unless I was required to make a public appearance when he began to make his new life on earth, I stood by and let him take Lucy into the TARDIS to show her a future that was worse than death itself. I listened to the TARDIS's pained screams as he cannibalized her bit by bit, and ever since I have listened to her moaning a crying out in pain. I couldn't sleep much as cries of the people that would die filled my ears at night, I wouldn't be able to stop it. I wouldn't be able to stop him from hurting the Doctor and it killed me inside to feel so much guilt, I knew it would only get worse when it actually happened. When the TARDIS had enough strength though it happened so little she would tell me it wasn't my fault. That I had to follow timelines. That it needed to happen.
I couldn't even get angry, he held the Jones's lives over my head, he'd hired Tish Jones yesterday and I'd felt my anger spike before I smothered it, she was extra insurance for both my anger and leverage over the Doctor.
I had been posed as his cousin, I'd been Lucy's maid of honour at their very public wedding and I'd also been their for the launch of Arch Angel and today was the day it all began.
He'd won the election

3rd P.O.V
The Doctor, Martha and Jack are sitting in an area in the middle of a pedestrian-only road.
"The moral is, if you re gonna get stuck at the end of the universe, get stuck with an ex-Time Agent and his vortex manipulator." Jack spoke,
"But this Master bloke, he s got the TARDIS and Phoenix." The Doctor flinched, "He could be anywhere in time and space." Martha exclaimed, worry evident in her voice, Phoenix knew this would happen.
"I can't change anything..." I whisper, "I can't even warn you..."
Her voice was broken, the sadness and fear almost tangible.
"No, he s here. Trust me." The Doctor assured her, looking around at all the Saxon campaign posters.
"Who is he, anyway? And that voice at the end, that wasn't the professor." The woman pointed out,
"If the Master s a Time Lord, he must have regenerated." Jack theorized,
"What does that mean?" Martha questioned confusion coating her voice.
"Means he s changed his face, voice, body, everything. New man." Jack offered, in the background the Doctor noticed a homeless man tapping a repetitive rhythm of four on an enamel mug.
"Then how are we gonna find him?" Martha cried, worry continuing to build in her voice.
"I'll know him, the moment I see him. Time Lords always do." The doctor answered,
"Not always." Martha muttered under her breath thinking of her missing friend. "But hold on." Martha notices the posters, "If he could be anyone... We missed the election." It dawned on her quickly, "But it can t be..." She gasped, The Doctor stands slowly, as does Jack. They walk towards a giant screen showing the news. Martha follows apprehensive.
'Mr Saxon has returned from the Palace and is greeting the crowd inside Saxon Headquarters.'
The screen shows Saxon walking downstairs with an entourage, Lucy and Phoenix at his side.
"I said I knew that voice. When he spoke inside the TARDIS. I've heard that voice hundreds of times. I've seen him. We all have. That was the voice of Harold Saxon." and then something else hit her, "There was a rumour going 'round the hospital, that Harold Saxon's cousin had been hurt, that she was in a coma and was being looked after in the hospital, but we were told to keep it quite he- he didn't want the press finding out." She whispers.
"That s him. He s Prime Minister. And he has Phoenix." his fist tightened. His Phoenix

We were walking down the steps after returning from the palace,
"Mr Saxon, this way, sir. Come on, kiss for the lady, sir." He does as the man asks and I hide my disgust, "And a hug for your cousin?" I quickly bury my disdain and smile brightly as he hugs me with an arm. After he let me go I step back and rub the arm he touched, I wanted to scrub it raw. He step forward to address the press his smirk in place.
"This country has been sick. This country needs healing. This country needs medicine. In fact, I d go so far as to say that, what this country really needs, right now...is a doctor." I lower my head. I didn't want to be here I never wanted to meet this deranged man. We stayed outside for another twenty minutes before we headed inside.
Walking down the hall of ten Downing Street, rebuilt after the missile attack on the Slitheen launched by none other than Mickey Smith. I'd made sure to become a part of Saxon's work, I knew his plans, I diverted whatever I could, I had even made plans of my own, I was setting up the resistance, I found people who weren't effected by the Archangel signal, people with latent telepathic abilities, their minds were stronger, strong enough to block the faint hypnotic wave. I gave them the codes to TorchWood, that was how we would communicate, Jack wouldn't mind, I happened to have became very good friends with him, secretly of course, I wouldn't put him in any more danger than he was already in. Clerks began passing files to the two of us.
"Finance report, sir." One clerk informed handing it to Saxon,
"Military protocol, ma'am." I nod grabbing the file and flipping through quickly, the last of the valiant had been put in motion, everything was now moving quickly. I had a plan for when everything finally kicked off... Without much notice we stop outside the cabinet room, fully repaired, where the Doctor began to feel something for Rose Tyler.
"I'm so proud of you, Harry." Lucy coo's I roll my eyes discretely, how could she love a monster? They kiss and I look away only to catch Tish Jones walk towards us. I smother the guilt and anger, she would have been better off refusing the job. Then again if she hadn't she would have been killed or on the run, neither was good, but here she would be relatively safe, even though it was in a demeaning job and the man was temperamental.
"Uh, sir...If you don t mind me asking...I'm sorry, but it s all a bit new. What exactly do you want me to do?" She was nervous and flustered, I smile slightly, she was a little innocent now, she didn't understand the dangers of the universes, especially this one.
"Oh yes, what was it, uh..?" he hesitates as though he didn't know her name, I saw a sly look cast in my direction. Gritting my teeth I smile,
"Latitia Jones." She looks my way startled, and then her face tints a light pink.
"Miss Phoenix, it's an honour to see you again." I nod my head my smile warmer than it had been in over two years.
"It is a pleasure to see you again as well Miss Jones." I return the greeting,
"Tish Please ma'am."
"Only if you call me Phoenix, Miss or Ma'am makes me feel old." We share a laugh and for a moment I forget where I am.
"Tish." And then I remembered where I was, who I was with and why I had to be here of all places. "Well then, Tish...You just stand there and look gorgeous." And then he entered the cabinet room closing the door behind him. And I knew blood had just been placed on my hands an a lot more was to come. I took one look at the door and turned, I couldn't be here, I walked to my room closing the door behind me and abruptly I turn slamming my fist into the wooden pane desperately wanting it to be his face.
Everything had started today no doubt they would be at Martha's house right now...
There was something niggling at the back of my head, something I was forgetting. What was it? It had something to do with 'Him'... what was it! It's important, something- Someone!
Vivian Rook! I bolted out of my door and took off running, could I change it? Should I? I ran around a corner, I ran into the room seeing them sat on a sofa.
"...thing is... I made my choice."
"Stop it!" I said, I was ignored,
"I'm sorry?" Vivian asked her, I shook my head,
"You'll get yourself killed, please! Stop asking questions!" I beg, still it was like I wasn't there like I was watching it on a screen again.
"For better or for worse. Isn't that right, Harry?" I close my eyes at her utterance as the deranged Time Lord leant against a connecting door.
"My faithful companion." He mused with malicious satisfaction.
"Mr Saxon. Prime Minister, I-I-I was just having a little joke with poor little Lucy. I-I didn't mean " Vivian stuttered, I watched him walk to the centre of the room as he speaks,
"Oh, but you re absolutely right." he taunted,
"Harold Saxon doesn't exist." I whisper, agony ripped through my head, the kind that only happened when they were near,
"Then tell me... who are you?" She asked, I lower my head,
"I'm the Master and these," He hold out his hands "are my friends." Four metal spheres float around him and I cringe holding my head, shaking it as I back out of the room. "Can t you hear it, Mrs Rook?" I hear him ask, I shake my head, I didn't want to hear it! "The drumbeat. The drums coming closer and closer." I felt the pounding in my head the beat of four, always four!
"The lady doesn't like us." One of the spheres talks in a female voice,
"Silly lady." Another said, a male voice this time,
"Dead lady." Another male voice spoke and then there was a loud scream and I flinch. The door closes and it cuts off, then the door opens again quickly cut off as the Master shuts it again, opening it again he puts his fist to his mouth to stop his laughter and I'm physically disgusted!
'Sick bastard!' my mind whispers internally, I bite my tongue to keep the thoughts inside.
"But she knew. Harry, she knew everything. You promised. You said Archangel was 100%." I roll my eyes at the woman,
"Um, 99, 98?" He shrugs.
"But if she's asking questions, then who else? How much time have we got?" I keep my smile inside, it was supposed to be 100% but I had tampered with it at the last minute... Made a fail safe, one thing that could turn it all around, that will. Saxon pulls the blonde in for a hug.
"Tomorrow morning, I promise. That s when everything ends." I felt dread enter my stomach, knowing was one thing... Hearing him say it was another.
I had blood on my hands and there was going to be a lot more. Almost an entire world.
XXX
It had been about an hour since Vivian's death and Saxon was planning a conference, the explosive had already been set up. We were standing in front of camera's still slightly behind him, as he began to speak.
"Britain, Britain, Britain. What extraordinary times we've had. Just a few years ago, this world was so small. And then they came, out of the unknown, falling from the skies." I saw a flash of the Sliveen ship destroying Big Ben. "You've seen it happen Big Ben destroyed, a spaceship over London." The Sycorax, "All those ghosts and metal men." Cybermen and Rose flashed through this time, "The Christmas star that came to kill." Donna, "Time and time again the government told you nothing. Well not me. Not Harold Saxon. Because my purpose here today is to tell you this citizens of Great Britain... I have been contacted. A message, for humanity, from beyond the stars." He nods to a man I couldn't see I was looking straight at the camera.
"People of the Earth, we come in peace." I close my eyes, "We bring great gifts. We bring technology and wisdom and protection. And all we ask in return is your friendship." I felt revolted, I knew what was going to happen, leading lambs to the slaughter. And I had to let it happen, I couldn't change timelines this important.
"Ooh, sweet. And this species has identified itself. They re called the Toclafane." I felt a flash of confusion and relaxed slightly, I could feel him. "And tomorrow morning they will appear. Not in secret, but to all of you. Diplomatic relations with a new species will begin. Tomorrow, we take our place in the universe. Every man, woman and child. Every teacher and chemist and lorry driver and farmer. And every..." I met the camera dead on knowing they were watching,
'Run.' I thought, my mind reaching to the Time Lord, I was risking him finding out the truth, before I was ready. But it didn't matter, Martha my human best friend was in a room with a bomb and two men who couldn't exactly die.
'Phoenix!'
'RUN!' I screamed before closing off the link looking straight at the camera a smile on my face having been perfected over time.
"oh, I don't know...medical student?" with my warning delivered I looked at 'Harry'.
"Forgive me for interrupting Harry, but I'm feeling a little unwell so I think I'm going to rest." I tell him, he nods and holds his arm out, I fight a cringe of disgust as I give him a brief hug and turn to leave. Heading inside intent on finding what little sleep I could.

Third person...
The Doctor, Jack and Martha rush out of her flat just as the window explodes. The Doctor's mind a buzz, she'd been able to speak to him... It wasn't empty in his head. For just a moment there was a presence a voice.
"All right?" The doctor asks trying to keep his mind focused on the problem at hand and not the fact that Phoenix was in the hands of his psychotic ex best friend.
"Fine, yeah, fine." Jack answers,
"Martha?" He questions, looking at her seeing her on her mobile, "What are you doing?" He demands,
"He knows about me. What about my family?" She demands in panic,
"Don't tell them anything!" The doctor orders,
"I'll do what I like! Mum? Oh my God, you're there." Martha exclaimed in relief,
"Course I'm here, sweetheart. You all right?" Francine asks her daughter her voice pleasant.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. Mum, has there been anyone asking about me?" Martha asks,
"Martha, I think perhaps you should come round." Francine suggests, he voice shakes slightly barely noticeable.
"I can't! Not now!" Martha groans in frustration,
"No, but it's your father. We've been talking and we thought we might give it another go." She tells her daughter,
"Don't be so daft! Since when?" Martha calls out in disbelief,
"Just come round. Come to the house, we can celebrate." Francine tries to convince her,
"You said you'd never get back with him in a million years." Her daughter counters.
"Ask him yourself." she passes her phone to her ex husband, Clive.
"Martha, it's me." He greets,
"Dad? What are you doing there?" she asked confused,
"Like your mother said, come round. We can explain everything." He repeats Francine's request,
"Dad? Just say yes or no. Is there someone else there?" She demands voice calm, there was a pause,
"Yes! Just run!" He shouts as he gets up and heads for the door.
"Clive!" His ex wife shouts,
"Listen to me! Just run!" Clive is grabbed by two men and restrained, "I don t know who they are!"
"We re trying to help her! Martha, don t listen to him!" Francine pleads with her daughter believing what she was doing was for the best.
"Dad! What s going on? Dad?" Martha shouts, she doesn't get an answer. "I gotta help them!" Martha panics as she runs to her car.
"That s exactly what they want! It s a trap!" The doctor warned her,
"I don t care!" Martha near screamed at him, the Doctor takes the passanger seat whilst Jack hops in back. Martha stepped on the gas shooting down the road driving recklessly,
"Corner!" The Doctor warns, martha takes the corner rather tightly the tyres screeching loudly
"C'mon, Tish. Pick up." Tish does pick up,
"Martha, I can t talk right now. We just made first contact. Did you see-" She cuts off as she is taken by the arms by two men and carried up the stairs. "What are you doing?!" She demands dropping the phone. "Get off! Linda, tell them!" SHe shouts. Martha, Jack and the Doctor hear it all,
"What s happening?! Tish!" She shouts trough the phone, she glances at the Doctor, "It s your fault! It s all your fault!" She blames him, her words cut him a bit in his state, Phoenix was missing the Master had taken the TARDIS and was no doubt planning something bad for the human race he held dear. Martha comes around the corner to see her mother being dragged by the arm as she shouts.
"Martha, get out of here! Get out!" She screams in warning, a woman says something and the police take their positions,
"Martha, reverse." The Doctor ordered, the police aim their weapons, "Get out, now!" He commands, Martha follows his instruction reversing in a three point turn, the police then take open fire on the car.
"Move it!" Jack shouted, Martha gunned the engine as bullets shattering the rear window.
"The only place we can go...planet Earth. Great." she mutters sarcastically,
"Careful!" The Doctor tells her as they avoid a car,
"Now, Martha, listen to me. Do as I say. We've gotta ditch this car. Pull over. Right now!" Martha does as Jack say's and they head off on foot Martha phoning Leo...

Phoenix's P.O.V
I stood in the cabinet room desperately wanting to rip the throat of the Time Lord in front of me out. He was listening to Martha on the phone,
"Leo! Oh, thank God! Leo, you gotta listen to me. Where are you?" I breath a sigh at the sound of my friends voice, it was like cold water in a desert.
"I'm in Brighton. We came down with Boxer. Did you see that Saxon thing on telly?" Leo asked,
"Leo, just listen to me. Don t go home, I'm telling you. Don't phone Mum or Dad or Tish. You've gotta hide." Martha warns him,
"Shut up." He denied unbelieving of his sister's warning,
"On my life. You've gotta trust me. Go to Boxer's. Stay with him. Don't tell anyone! Just hide!" I clench my fist a flame flickering behind me slightly, I take a breathe,
"Ooh, a nice little game of hide-and-seek. I love that. But I'll find you, Martha Jones. Been a long time since we saw each other. Must be, what, one hundred trillion years?" The Master finally speaks, I roll my eyes,
"Let them go, Saxon. Do you hear me?! Let them go!" the bastard only smiles,
"Martha don't let him provoke you." I spoke finally,
"Phoenix..." She whispers,
"I'm here." And just those words with that voice, I felt calm happy and safe, the asshole takes it off of speaker,
"Doctor." he greets seriously, "I like it when you use my name." I groan as my mind kicked in, in the worst way possible, why did I have to have a disgusting mind? "As you chose yours. The man who makes people better. How sanctimonious is that?" I snort,
"That rich coming from you." He sends me a glare and I smile sweetly.
"I know. It s good, isn't it?" He asks the Doctor, ignoring my comment,
"Do you remember all those fairy tales about the Toclafane when we were kids? Back home. Where is it, Doctor?" I hung my head,
"Gone." I whisper, he whirls on me as he speaks into the phone,
"How can Gallifrey be gone?" he demanded, "And the Time Lords?" and asked, "The Time Lords only resurrected me because they knew I'd be the perfect warrior for a Time War. I was there when the Dalek Emperor took control of the Cruciform. I saw it. I ran. I ran so far. Made myself human so they would never find me because... I was so scared." In that moment I felt a little sympathy for him, running because you're scared, that wasn't anything to be ashamed of. "All of them? But now you, which must mean..." I grit my teeth, "What did it feel like, though? Two almighty civilizations burning. Oh, tell me, how did it feel?"
"Stop it!" I whisper.
"You must have been like God." he ignored me and no doubt the doctor to. "Are you asking me out on a date?" he mocked, I gag, "Too late." he continues flippantly, "The drumming." I cringe as he taps the beat on the table, "I thought it would stop but it never does. Never ever stops. Inside my head, the drumming, Doctor. The constant drumming." I shake my head, I didn't want to hear it. "It s everywhere. Listen, listen, listen." He continues to tap the table, "Here come the drums. Here come the drums." (There's an awful lot of the word drum in this paragraph.) The Master sits in front of his laptop, "Ooh, look. You re on TV." I look over his shoulder and my breath catches, I could see him for the first time in a year and a half.
"Doctor." I whisper,
"No, really. You're on telly!" He clicks the BBC newscast, "You and your little band, which, by the way, is ticking every demographic box. So, congratulations on that. Look, there you are! Ha!" I hated his voice I really did.
"...They are known to be armed and extremely dangerous." The woman announces,
"You re public enemies number one, two and three. Oh, and you can tell handsome Jack that I've sent his little gang off on a wild goose chase to the Himalayas so he won't be getting any help from them." he switches back to CCTV and I see Martha and Jack join him. "Now, go on, off you go. Why not start by turning to the right?" the Doctor looks straight at the camera, he pulls out his sonic and the camera disconnects. "Ooh, you public menace. Better start running. Go on. Run!" He shouts in glee,
"Run for your life, Doctor!"
"Run!" I murmur, planting an echo in his mind,
"I said, run!" Saxon shouted, he flipped between news stations as he hung up,
"Tomorrow morning, Britain will be welcoming an extraterrestrial species..." the BBC broadcaster announced,
"The President is said to be furious that Great Britain has taken unilateral action." The American news channel informs, the Chinese new shows before he switches to Teletubbies, I resist the urge to roll my eyes but quickly felt pain rip through my head as sphere's entered the room.
"Have you seen these things? This planet s amazing. Television in their stomach. Now that is evolution." Saxon says to them, I shake my head trying to clear the pain,
"Is the machine ready?" A female sphere asks,
"Tomorrow morning. It reaches critical at 8:02 precisely." I want to cry at his reply, he was going to fully cannibalize her... I wasn't going to sleep with her screams.
"We have to escape. Because it's coming, sir. The darkness, the never-ending darkness. The terrible, terrible cold. We have to run and run and run!" The same sphere giggles and panics, it made me feel physically sick, but angering them meant death... Would it be so bad? No- can't think that.
"8:00 tomorrow morning. Tell your people. The world is waiting." He barks, they flee the room and I sigh in relief, Saxon looked out the window.
"He will stop you, eventually." and with those words I left the room and headed to my own.
'How are you holding up?' I think quietly,
'I can manage.' I close my eyes as I lay down,
'You shouldn't have to... He's- he's going to fully canabilize you tonight. But you already know that, and you also know you will be back.'
'But of course, we know what is to come or you will remember the future in time...' I laugh quietly,
'You always do talk in riddles.'
'I think you should check in on Thief.' I nod my head and relax my body letting my mind wonder.
...
Looking around as I open my eyes I see a warehouse of sorts, turning on the spot I see two men that I had missed, one almost painfully. A grin spread across my face as I walked to the but didn't say a word nor touch them. It could never get that far, what I am currently doing was taught to me by Sexy. It's a form of meditation, in a trance of sorts your mind can wonder where ever you want in the world as long as you know where you're going. Think of it as astral projection, I only do this half way though, putting to much power into it would make me caporial, a physical body to converse with others, but doing that would alert Saxon and I didn't want him knowing about my activities. He'put a suppression cuff on me, I'd be human again and I didn't think I could handle that, not after so long being as I am.
"How was it?" Jack asked, I looked over at the door to see Martha walking in with a bag of chips.
"I don't think anyone saw me. Anything new?" Martha informs quickly asking the question, worried about her family.
"I've got this tuned into the government wavelength so we can follow what Saxon s doing." At Jack's response Martha rolled her eyes in annoyance, obviously her question had passed over his head, well the intended meaning at least.
"Yeah, I meant about my family." She corrects,
"It still says the Jones family taken in for questioning. Tell you what, though, no mention of Leo." The Doctor calls trying to cheer her up, a smile pulled at the corners of my lips.
"He's not as daft as he looks." Martha spoke with a smile before letting it drop and running a hand through her hair. "I'm talking about my brother on the run. How did this happen?" She asks rhetorically.
"Nice chips." Jack says as he sat down obviously ignoring her question as she wanted to.
"Actually, they re not bad." The Doctor agree's popping one into his mouth,
"Well they don't contain crilytain oil." I muttered, the Doctor's head snapped up and my mouth closed realizing he'd heard that, looking around he shook his head. Martha sat down and exchanged looks with Jack before nodding her head in the Doctor's direction.
"So, Doctor, who is he? How come the ancient society of Time Lords created a psychopath?" Jack asked putting it none to delicately. I roll my eyes typical Jack.
"And what is he to you? Like a colleague..." Martha continued to press.
"A friend, at first." The doctor answered truthfully.
"I thought you were gonna say he was your secret brother or something." I bite my lip to keep from laughing as Jack and the Doctor stare at her.
"You ve been watching too much TV." The doctor tells her. I lean down next to Martha, maybe I could have a little fun...
"When was the last time we watched TV in the TARDIS? We're usually running for our lives." Martha looked over her shoulder but didn't see me. Martha chuckles.
"But all the legends of Gallifrey made it sound so perfect." Jack said obviously confused,
"Well, perfect to look at, maybe. And it was, it was beautiful." He leant back, "They used to call it the Shining World of the Seven Systems. And on the Continent of Wild Endeavour, in the Mountains of Solace and Solitude, there stood the Citadel of the Time Lords..." I could picture it now. Something flashed before my eyes. It was me, and a young boy maybe the age of thirteen, we were walking up the red grass the orange and yellow sky, we were walking towards now and behind us was a huge city covered with a dome of glass. "The oldest and most mighty race in the universe...looking down on the galaxies below...sworn never to interfere...only to watch..." I chuckle quietly,
'That didn't work out in your case, to curious with a strong sense of justice.'
"Children of Gallifrey, taken from their families at the age of eight to enter the Academy. And some say that s when it all began. When he was a child... that s when the Master saw eternity. As a novice, he was taken for initiation, it s a gap in the fabric of reality through which could be seen the whole of the vortex. You stand there, eight years old...staring at the raw power of time and space, just a child. Some would be inspired...some would run away...and some would go mad."
'The three of us are an example.'
"What about you?" Martha questions a light in her eye and a small smile on her lips.
"Oh, the ones that ran away. I never stopped." The Doctor answered with his mouth full. Suddenly Jack's manipulator beeps.
...
My mind fades and I bolt up looking around the room there was nothing to disturb me, I'd been gone for longer than normal, my mind had come back as my mind had drifted for to long a small fail safe so that you wouldn't literally loose your mind. Shaking my head I close my eyes again but this time it's to sleep. Wishing tomorrow never came.
