Ruby felt the attacks coming towards her, she tried to move but her feet were froze to the ground.
"Ruby!" Tsubasa shouted, she ran towards her but there were too many monsters in the way, Ruby's eyes shrank in horror and closed them tightly.
'I don't want to die, I have to help grandfather, and I want to see his face, hear his voice and feel his warmth.' She then shouted. "I WON'T GIVE UP UNTIL I SAVE MY GRANDFATHER!"
(Fairy Tale main theme) Bass. The symbol of the crescent moon or the crescent sun?
The attack was inches away from her until a mysterious shadow picked her up and jumped out of the way, the attack exploded on the stage floor. As the smoke clears, she was nowhere to be seen, Tsubasa and Maria looked around the stage, behind them a giant Shadow monster crept up to them but a pink arrow size beam shot through it, disappearing into ashes. The girls knew who destroyed the giant monster, Madoka Kaname in her magical girl form with the warriors of light.
"Where's Ruby?" She asked.
"Madoka! She's up there." Homuru answered, they all looked up and saw a person wearing a beige cloak over his body and a black helmet with sharp gold fins, and his eyes were ruby red, staring at them, holding Ruby in his arms. Cell appeared from the dark clouds. Ruby opened her eyes and saw the person holding her.
"Who are you?" She asked, the figure carefully dropped her on her feet, she felt her heart racing and her blood warming.
"My name's Bass, and I have been searching for you for a long time, Goddess Light." He said, (I'd prefer him as a good guy) Ruby felt her cheeks warming up.
"How do you know that I'm Goddess Light, Bass?" She asked, before he could answered her question a plasma blast shot between them, they looked around and saw Megaman is the one who fired the blast, he doesn't looked please.
"You stay away from Ruby, Bass!" He shouted, but Ruby shouted back at him.
"Megaman! You nearly got me there, and what do you mean 'Stay away from me?' He saved my life, if it wasn't for him I would be dead meat!"
"Why a lone warrior like him would be saving a little brat like her?" Cell said out load, Ruby's friends freaked out because they know what happens if Ruby hears word 'Brat', her fist tighten, her eyes were full of fire, her teeth gritted together, light aura surrounded her.
"DON'T CALL ME A BRAT!" She shouted, suddenly a light shone on her forehead, it was so bright that everyone had to shield their eyes, she jumped towards Cell, in seconds flat she transformed into her Goddess form and went passed him but a light shine inside him, he yelled in pain and turned into dust. Her friends and Bass were surprised, sparkles floated down from the sky.
"Wow, look at all the sparkles!" Patty said excited.
"She destroyed Cell without breaking a sweat! He's Darkness Terror's strongest minion!" Vegeta said, Sailor Moon watched Ruby gracefully flying down, her feathery wings shined like a sun but a bit dimmer. The light from her wings destroyed all the monsters in seconds flat.
"I wonder who she really is. Could she be the key to everything?" As Goddess Light saw the dust, it disappeared, she looked up to where her rescuer was but he wasn't there, Shirabe walked to her and placed her hand on Ruby's shoulder.
"Goddess Light, are you alright?" She asked, Goddess Light had her hands together with her eyes as hearts.
"Wow, he's an amazing guy" She dreamily said, Shirabe sweat dropped.
"She's alright." She said, but Natsu stomped his feet angrily.
"Yeah, but. She didn't let me join the fight. When I see that punk again, I'm going to burn him with my flames!" He shouted, but his friends shouted him back.
"NATSU! IT WASN'T YOUR FIGHT!" Natsu shrank from their anger.
At HQ, everyone were fast asleep, Natsu snored loudly and Hibiki drooled, and Kuybey slept beside Mami, but Ruby was wide awake with her hands under her head, staring at the dark ceiling. Her mind is having thoughts of their behaviour when they saw Bass.
Flashback
Megaman didn't looked please. "You stay away from Ruby, Bass!"
End of flashback
She has a feeling, a feeling in her heart that she felt before, but can't remembered. If only her grandfather was here, he would know what to do, but now he's not. She reached for her shorts pocket and pulled out a picture to her face. It was a picture of her younger self and her grandfather, she was on his shoulder, her arms wrapped around under his chin, and her smile is like a smile after having a wonderful day of her life. Her grandfather had the same smile as his granddaughter, she remembered that day.
Flashback
Ruby giggled, holding her grandfather's hand. It was 10 year ago in the spring festival, the people smiling and playing games to win a prize. The 10 year old Ruby wore a small, long sleeve red dress with white tights and a matching colour shoes, her hair is short and wavy to her chin length and rose hairclip on the right side of her hair. He smiled with her.
"Ruby, there's someone I would like you to meet, he's a good friend of mine. And… oh there he is." He said as he spotted his friend, he was a cheerful man with thick, rough, jet black hair, he wore a beige robe with gold outlines, each sleeve has a different crescent symbol, and the left has the sunset orange crescent sun whilst the other has the silver crescent moon. He wore a necklace with an orange crescent sun and a silver crescent moon on top of it, facing upwards, his eyes were ruby red. He saw his good friend.
"Ahh, Eon. It's good to see you again." He said, spreading his arms out, his voice sounded warm and gently, Eon spread his arms and hugged him, his friend hugged him back.
"It's good to see you as well, Borjara." The two broke the hug, Borjara saw Ruby clenching to Eon's robe, and he bent down to her level.
"Is this your granddaughter you told me about?" He asked, Eon nodded.
"Yes, her name is Ruby, named after a gemstone." Borjara looked closer at her face but she hid behind her grandfather, acting shy. Borjara smiled. "I'm not going to hurt you, and you can trust me since your grandfather trusted me as well, so there's no need to be afraid." He said kindly, she walked away from hiding and fiddle his necklace.
"It's pretty." She said.
"Thank you, it's called a Crescent Night Sun, legend has it, that it is the symbol of a person who knows the true nature of both light and darkness. Whoever is the real owner of the symbol, can put all elements into balance. And the key to everything, including finding the lost love ones. And will be called The Chosen One" Her eyes grew big in joy and sparkled.
"You mean, I could get to see mummy and daddy again?" She asked hopefully, Borjara scratch his head with his index finger.
"Well, finding The Chosen One will take years of searching, so you won't be able to see your parents again." Ruby hanged her head forward sorrowfully and looked up at her grandfather.
"But, I still have grandpapa to take care of me." She smiled, suddenly the Noise, Viruses and Shadow monsters attack the festival, but something seems different, they weren't attacking or killing the villagers, Eon picked up Ruby and ran with Borjara, but the monsters caught sight of them and chased after them, Ruby clinched on his robe, her eyes shrink in terrified. Not like him, Eon carefully threw his granddaughter to his friend.
"Take care of her." He said, stopping in front of the monsters.
"But Eon…" Borjara worried, Eon magically pulled out a silver staff with an aquamarine orb and held it up in the sky, closed his eyes and sang.
"Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal.
Emustonlronzen fine el barbal zizzl."
Ruby broke into tears. "Grandpapa, don't leave me!"
"Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal.
Emustronlronzen fine el zizzl." He opened his eyes and smiled warmly with a tiny amount of blood spill from his lips, the orb let out a huge wave, destroying all the monsters in sight, Eon just stands there like he's drifting into space. He fell to the ground, his eyes were peacefully closed and Ruby pushed from Borjara's grasp and ran to her fallen grandfather, she shake his body but he wasn't waking up, but he was still breathing, she saw both the orb and staff disappearing into tiny stars. She bit her lip, tears broke into waterfalls and shouted all she could muster.
"GRANDPAPA!"
End of flashback
It was the last time she ever saw his blue eyes, tears escaped her eyes and whimpered, until she heard a small voice.
"Why are you crying?" It said, she look away from the picture and saw Kyubey, Bebe and Happy beside her, they jumped on her bed and saw the picture she was holding.
"Is that you when you were small?" Happy asked, she nodded, Kyubey saw Eon.
"Who's the man with the white bush on his face?" She asked, Ruby couldn't muster a word until she spoke out. "Grandfather." She said in a small voice, they all look at her, her friendly eyes shines like the stars, Bebe walked up to her, into the duvet and snuggled with its head out.
"Bebe don't like sad people." It said, Ruby smiled a little.
"How come we don't get to see him?" Happy asked.
"You'll find out soon enough, OK?" She said, Happy and Kyubey both snuggled with her like tiny children, Ruby felt comfortable with them, she felt tired after a good concert, she took one look at the photo, tighten her grip. Someday she will make them pay for what they did to her only family. She puts the picture back into her shorts pocket and so she drifted in a deep sleep.
I ran and ran from the strange and terrifying creatures, I tripped over a stone and fell on the hard and cold floor, and I waited for the monsters to finish me off. But it come true, I turned my body around and them. The legendary warriors of light, one of them faced with its cyan blue eyes.
"Are you alright?" It asked, I don't if it's male or female, all I wanted to know is, how this did all happen. And where is my daddy?
Ruby shot up from her sleep, breathing heavily, sweating on her forehead, and accidently flanged Happy from her chest to the door, just in time the door was opened by Liz, got face hit by Happy and fell to the ground with a thud. Liz recovered quickly from the hit, rubbing her head, then she found Ruby shaking terrified, her voice shakes as each time she breathes, Liz pushed herself up to her feet and to their shaken friend, as she touched her shoulder, Ruby snapped out of her fear. She look up at Liz with shrink and shaking eyes.
"Hey, what's wrong? It looks like you just got yourself a nightmare." Ruby said nothing, look down at the bed and pull her knees to her chest, a tear escaped her eye. She was about to say something but was interrupted by footsteps, she look up, wipe her tears and Grey wearing is pants again.
"GREY! WHERE ARE YOUR CLOTHES?!" She shouted, he heard her words, look down, panicked again and ran, (in slow motion) she saw a crescent sun symbol on his right upper arm, (in normal motion) he ran from her room, she quickly got dress and ran to him. "Grey. Grey, please wait!" She shouted, Grey stopped, turned around, saw Ruby running towards him and stop before him.
"Sorry that I'd show my pants without knowing, it's one of my strange habits." He apologies, she shook her head.
"No, it's not that. As you ran away, I saw crescent sun symbol on your right arm." He moved his right arm so that she could see it clearly.
"I'm not the only one who has the crescent symbol on my body, everyone does. You see, this symbol means we're on Harmony's side."
(Break intro) Chibi Goddess Light dances on the spot and ended it with a pose.
(Break ending) Chibi Goddess Light brushes her hands off after defeating the monsters.
When they told her about the symbol, she was shocked.
"You're saying that the sun is the symbol of the team?" She said, they all nodded.
"What our enemies. Do they have a symbol for their team? She asked, Soul told about it.
"Well, let just say that ours gives the sun and light, while our enemies gives out the moon and darkness." Ruby mumbled those words.
"The sun and the moon, light and darkness, I heard of it before but where?" Then Sailor Jupiter said.
"You can have a symbol on your body if you help us stop and destroyed Darkness Terror once and for all. And help us find Harmony." Ruby think carefully. 'If I joined them and destroyed Darkness Terror, maybe I could asked Harmony to bring my grandfather back from coma." She pulled up a thumbs up and winked. "I accepted." They smiled in joy, now with Goddess Light in their side, nothing going to stop them.
Megaman got out a stamp and pressed it against her right upper arm, he realised it from her arm, now with the crescent sun on her arm, and she laughed joyously.
"There we go, now you're officiously part of our team." He said smiling.
"Thanks Mega." She said.
"I'd better contact Lord Death and tell him the good news."
"I already heard." A silly but familiar voice said, everyone draw attention to the middle, just then a black figure with a wired looking skull mask emerged from the floor. As Ruby saw the figure she panicked. The room was full of silence until…
"Hello, everyone!" He said as a big white hand pop out from his black body. Everyone (except Ruby) all fell down to the ground, jumped back up and shouted.
"YOU POPPED UP FROM THE FLOOR AND ALL YOU CAN SAY IS 'HELLO EVERYONE'?" Ruby tilted her head in confusion, then she asks Sailor Jupiter.
"Hey Jupiter. Who is that?" She asked.
"That's Lord Death, the headmaster of the Death Weapon Meister Academy. AKA, DWMA, he's a grim reaper and Kid's father." Ruby freaked out.
"Whoa! Kid is the son of the grim reaper?!" Death heard her voice and turned around to face her.
"Ahh, you must be Ruby, my son has told great things about you are the legendary Goddess Light." Not like you see every day Ruby looked at Death's body like a little kid. Death sweat dropped.
"Are you sure she's the one because she's acting like a little kid." He said.
"She has never seen a grim reaper like you before." Erza said, then Natsu said.
"By the way, last night she was saved by Bass." Death looked at Natsu when Ruby fell to the ground and jumped back, stomping her feet. "Hey, don't you dare say anything rude about him, after all." She clasped her hands and her eyes sparkled. "He did saved my like a brave knight." Then Death interrupted.
"But, Ruby, he's a lone warrior." She look at him with her eyes back to normal. "What do you mean 'he's a lone warrior'?"
Madoka explained. "We don't know anything about him, when we ask him if he's one of us or our enemies, all he said is none. All he said is 'I have to find The Chosen One', and what we mean by that, we should not trust him, by the way he saved you. And lone warriors don't saved people. If he doesn't have a moon or sun on his body, he's not one of us or one of them. Barely shows up until you became a Goddess Warrior. A warrior who doesn't need comrades and knows everything, our weaknesses and our strengths. He's an untrustworthy. mysterious warrior." Ruby's eyes shrank. 'A lone warrior?'
Meanwhile on top of a tree, Bass thought about the dream he had.
"Bass, as keeper and guardian, it is your duty to protect her and her power from evil. Please she's all I have." A gentle female voice said, the figure was covered in light so it was hard for him to see.
He placed his hand on his soul symbol.
"I don't care if I'm a lone warrior or not, I have a mission to complete and that is to protect her. Protect The Chosen One." The wind gentle blew his cloak, slightly reliving a familiar crescent sun with a crescent moon on top facing upwards flowing with the wind.
