The next day, Arthur woke up in his husband's arms. A sad smile graces his face as the memories of last night played in his mind. He and Francis had sex for the first time in years. It felt so right but at the same time it was so wrong. They were legally separated and Arthur was with Yao! Arthur had done something so wrong and it was so unforgivable but he had missed the feeling of having someone to dominate over him and wanted to have another time of blissful sex with his husband. But another thought struck him. What about Yao?

In last night's haze of passion and lust, Arthur had forgotten who he was supposed to be faithful to. He felt like he and Francis were married again and only faithful to each other and there was no one else in between them. While Arthur could be happy he achieved the long gone feeling he couldn't help but feel like shit. He cheated on Yao with his husband and it wasn't right. Yao was faithful to him and, up until last night, Arthur returned the favor. He looked at Francis who was comfortably sleeping thinking that he and Arthur were probably going to get back together, not knowing that he was dating someone. There was another thing that made Arthur regret what he did.

Yao was at home, probably worried sick. He didn't want to come to dinner because it was just for family and Arthur didn't want to tell the rest of his family about their relationship. Yao. Sweet little YaoYao was probably worried about his safety and going crazy wondering if he had died or told a lie and really walked out on him. Arthur felt disgusted with himself. This must have been how Francis felt when he cheated on him. Not taking a moment longer to look at things and think them over, Arthur quickly grabbed all of his clothes and started to put them on and he didn't notice Francis starting to wake up.

Francis felt like last night was only a cruel dream but he was watching Arthur get his clothes on. He lightly smiled and watched as his love got dressed. It brought back memories of when they first got together. Arthur would hurry up and get ready for his day after a night of tiring sex. Francis would try to get him to stay but then he'd say that he has to go but he'll be back later for some dinner and possibly a drink or two. He yawned and walked over to his husband.

"Leaving so soon mon cher?" Arthur paused and looked at his husband. His shoulder-length blond hair was messy, his chest was as flawless as he remembered, his blue eyes were as bright and happy as they always are, his lips held a small smile. The shorter blond blushed and resumed getting dressed.

"I have to go. Last night was wonderful but that was just a moment of pure insanity and-" Arthur was cut off by a pair of skilled lips were placed upon his own chapped lips. He was stunned for a moment. This kiss was wrong but at the same time, it felt so right. Without a second thought to what he was doing, he returned the kiss. Soon they broke apart and Arthur got dressed. He got out of the bedroom and was walking out when he saw the boys starting to leave for school. Arthur looked at his watch and saw how early it was.

"Do you two usually leave for school this early?" The teens turned around to see their father with one thick eyebrow raised.

"Well, Papa's apartment is kind of far from school and we catch a bus into town-" Matthew started.

"-but we wake up early to catch the early bus to get to town then we walk from that point to school." Alfred finished.

"How about I take both of you to school so you don't have to go that distance?" The twins looked at each other and then back to their father and nodded. Once the three were out, Francis came into the kitchen and started to make himself something to eat when there was a knock at his apartment door. Puzzled at who would come here this early, he went over to the door and opened it to see Antonio looking very broken down and a general all-around mess. Francis ushered him in and sat him down on the couch.

"Mon ami, what happened?"

"I received a call from the hospital last night."

"What? A-are you okay?" Francis was worried. He knew of Antonio's medical history and when he had to go to the hospital for something or got a call from one, it was never a good sign. Antonio choked out a sob and buried his face in his hands. The blue-eyed man rubbed his back and tried to calm him down. Thirty minutes of this passed until Antonio started talking.

"I wasn't feeling well for a month now and I decided to go to the doctor. They took me for an MRI and a brain scan and... my MRI came back normal and there was nothing wrong..." There was a long and uncomfortable silence on Antonio's end. He didn't want to say anything but he had to because this was his friend and friends tell each other everything. "My brain scan came back and they found another one. They found another brain tumor."

Francis' eyes widened and he hugged his friend tight. Antonio had been fighting brain cancer for about seven years now and until now he was tumor free for about two years. Just when they finally think he beat brain cancer another tumor pops up. Panic started to take over the Frenchman's head as he started to think of many questions to ask; How bad was it? Was it too late to remove it for an adult this age? Did it spread too far? Was the tumor too big to remove? So many questions went through his mind that he could only ask one.

"Can they remove it?" Antonio looked up, his once bright green eyes now puffy from the tears cried.

"They can but they said that -hic- there's a 13% percent chance I could survive. They said that I got lucky last time but they aren't so sure I'll survive this time." Francis' eyes welled up with tears and as he hugged his friend he started to cry. His best friend was staring death in the face again but this time it was even worse. The last time Antonio had to go under to remove a tumor there wasn't a very good chance of him living because the tumor grew so much and it was in the back of the brain growing to the front. He remembered sitting in the waiting room worrying so much whether he was going to die while on the table. It was a miracle that he survived the surgery when his chances on living were as low as they are now.

"You'll be alright. You survived last time and you'll survive this time." Francis kept whispering over and over. Antonio had to survive the treatment again. He just had to. A world without his best friend was the worst thing for Francis to imagine.

Francois was staring at the papers that had the power to end something that was supposed to be so sacred. Oliver served him another set of divorce papers to replace the last set that was set on fire. The melancholy man had signed them and was waiting for Oliver to come pick them up. In his waiting he started to think about how different life will be living alone as a bitter grump. Sure he was living on his own for some time but to know that no one but himself would come back to this apartment was something to think of. So many things can happen when you're lonely. You coud leave the TV on at night to feel like there are other people living here besides you. You could turn to food for comfort thinking it could solve a problem. You could turn to drugs to tryand numb the pain. You could kill yourself because of the lonliness.

"No." Francois said aloud to no one in particular. No. He couldn't kill himself or anything of the sort! He still had life ahead of him! Sure he was getting a bad hand now but there are still opportunities out there for a man his age! His future in life was bright and it was up to him to make keep it that way. A knock at the door brought him out of his thoughts and he guessed it was Oliver coming to pick up the papers. He was proven wrong when it was his self-proclaimed Prussian friend, Akbar, with the ever-present straight face and some bags in his hands.

"What is it Akbar?" The Prussian came in and but the bags down then looked at his friend.

"Lutz kicked me out and I have nowhere else to stay." Akbar lived with his younger brother Lutz ever since he lost his apartment in a fire. Everyone who knew the brothers knew how violent they could get and how often they would get into fights. There had been times when Akbar moved out for a week and then came back to the home they shared and everything seemed like it would be okay and this time it looked like Lutz was tired of his brother's shit and officially kicked him out.

"I'm so sorry to hear that."

"Don't feel forry for this Prussian. It was bound to happen one of these days so I'm not as fazed."

"You can stay here until you get a new home."

"Danke." Akbar went to put his things away when Oliver came up to the door. The blond knew what he came here for and handed the package of papers to him.

"Here are the papers you needed me to sign." Oliver took them and carefully looked them over and smiled when he saw his signature on the necessary lines. He placed them back in and heavily sighed.

"Thank you." With those last two words, Oliver walked away. Francois watched him go with a heavy heart. He tried all he could to stop this from happening himself but Oliver really wanted this divorce. Everything Oliver wanted Francois would eventually give him or help him in some way to get. Oliver wanted a great boyfriend, Francois gave him that. Oliver wanted to get married, Francois gave him that. Oliver wanted children, Francois gave him that. Oliver wanted a steady home life, Francois tried to give him that. Oliver wanted a divorce, Francois gave him that. A tear slipped out of his eye and he wiped it away and closed the door to his apartment.

"I'll move on..." He whispered to himself. "I'll move on."

The lunch bell rang and Alfred was walking to his locker when he spotted Feliciano already standing there. His heart started to pound since this wasn't normal of Feliciano. Since they haven't been together and tried to keep their relationship as friends they'd been meeting in the cafeteria for lunch but the only time they ever waited for each other at their lockers was if they had something important to tell the other. Taking a deep breath, Alfred went to his locker and Feliciano smiled at him when he came close.

"Ciao Alfred!"

"Hey! I thought you were going to wait for me in the cafeteria."

"I had something to tell you. Meet me on the roof." Feliciano walked away after that. Alfred was confused. Why would Feliciano have to tell him something on the roof? It was odd but Alfred wouldn't complain because if his friends needed him he'd listen and help in any way he could. After he got his lunch he went to the roof like Feliciano asked him to. When he got there, Feliciano was sitting in the middle of the roof and staring at the horizon.

"Feli!" The Italian turned around and waved Alfred over. Alfred sat down next to him and they silently ate when Alfred popped the question.

"So, what did you have to tell me?" The brunette looked sad and he was silent for a moment before he grabbed one of Alfred's hands before looking into his eyes.

"I'm going to be going away for a few weeks." Blue eyes widened in shock when he heard the words that came out of his mouth. A few weeks without Feliciano? It was hard to imagine having some time away from his friend and complicated love. They were only on friend terms now but they were just taking a break in their relationship and they were still crazy about each other, just not dating at the moment like Lovino and Matthew are.

"Why are you leaving?"

"Nonno wants to expand the family business to another state and there is an area in a shopping center in Ohio that is willing to sell him the space. We would have been originally going in the summer but there were so many applications for the space that by the time summer rolled around the space would have been rented."

"When are you leaving?"

"We're leaving today. I figured I should tell you before you came into school tomorrow and wonder where I am." Alfred chuckled then pulled Feliciano into a side hug. In response the Italian blushed and snuggled into his love's side. The two sat on the roof long until the bell rang. Neither one made a move as they kept looking into the horizon as if nothing mattered anymore.

Arthur sat on the sand of the beach and looked out in the ocean. He had a lot of things on his mind and he's been here ever since he dropped the twins off at school. He thought about if he was going to get this job or not. He thought about his relationship with Yao and Francis. That was the major thing that was on the man's mind. Yao will be wanting an answer for where he was last night and Arthur wondered if he should tell the truth or not. He knew he should but at the same time he didn't want to hurt Yao's feelings. Then there was Francis.

There was Francis. With how passionate last night was for both of them he started to wonder if Francis thought if they were back together. It would be wonderful on his husband's end but on his own end that would be a guilt trip. His phone vibrated and he took it out to see two texts. One was from Francis asking him if they could hang out together on the weekend and the other from Yao telling him that he got a call from the job he applied for and that he got it and also asking where he was. Arthur raised his arm to throw his phone away but then shook his head and put it back in his pocket. The job hunt thing was the least of his problems. There were two men who loved him very much and Arthur could only choose one.

Yao. He loved Yao. He was a great listener, he was a great person to talk to, he always made time in the bedroom special, he is a great cook.

Francis. He loved Francis. He was a great listener, he knew how to cheer the boys up after a bad day, he was excellent in bed, he was a great cook, he loved him right, he gave him life.

Arthur groaned as he ran his hands through his hair. He was still in love with Francis. How can I be so stupid?! After he wasted so much time on me, how can I be that stupid and date my best friend? He now knew that he had to break up with Yao and slowly start rebuilding his relationship with Francis. The blond knew he couldn't move on from the one who loved him right and made his heart skip a beat at the very thought of his name. Arthur got up from his spot and was about to walk away when he stopped. What about Yao? The Chinese man was so in love with him and for Arthur to break his heart like that would be unforgivable. He was already jerked around in love by one person, he didn't need another person he loved to jerk him around. Why was this so hard for him? He knew that breaking up was going to be hard to do but at the same time he didn't want to hurt Yao's feelings or make him feel like he was unloved in any certain way.

"Why does this have to be so damn hard?!" Arthur yelled to the sky. He wanted a clearer answer on how he was going to break up with Yao. He wanted to know how he was going to break up with him but not make him cry or anything like that. Shaking his head, he decided how he was going to go about this. He'll just wait for the right moment to break up with him and let everything go from there. Yea, that's what he'll do.

Yao was worried. He hadn't heard from Arthur since last night and he was worried like hell. He texted him but he didn't answer back. Maybe Arthur got into an accident? Maybe he left him? No! That's can't be the case! Arthur would never do that to him. Would he? No. Never. Never in a million years. Arthur loved him and would never do that to him. The door opened and Arthur came into the room with a bouquet of roses. Yao ran up to him and kissed him.

"I was so worried about you, aru! What happened?" Arhtur hugged him and kissed him back as he handed him the roses.

"Sorry love. I drank at his apartment last night and I didn't want to get myself into an accident or get a DUI so I stayed at his home for the night."

"What about today?"

"Look, I was just givig myself some time alone. That's all it was." Yao didn't look like he was feeling this way but he was skeptical. Something must have happened last night and he just wasn't letting up on anything. He didn't want to call out on his scony love but the doubt started to pile up because the story sounded so half-assed and so made up. Arthur caught the look and passionately kissed him. When they broke apart Yao turned around.

"Are you mad at me?" A long silence was all Arthur needed to answer his question.

"I'm sorry love. I'll do anything for you to forgive me." Yao turned around and chucked a pillow and blanket into Arthur's arms and glared at him.

"Sleep on the couch tonight. Oh, and you start work at 8 am tomorrow." The dark-haired man walked away after that and went up the stairs to the bedroom and slammed the door. Yao then backed into the door and slid down as he started to cry. How dare Arthur just pretend like everything was ok and nothing happened? A relationship was supposed to be all about commitment and give and take right? Arthur didn't tell him the truth and he knew it. Maybe it wasn't the case and Yao was just thinking outrageous things. No! There was something wrong here and he sensed it. I'm going to find out Arthur Kirkland. Your sins will catch up with you.
