Alice didn't want to move from where she was sitting on the bathroom floor. She didn't want to face the world. She couldn't face anyone, especially her brothers. They came home fifteen minutes ago, and she knew Jasper and Jacob were telling them everything. Even if the boys were worried they wouldn't corner her. They both knew that she needed her space, and when she was ready she would find them. After Alice spent about twenty minutes on the bathroom floor, she got the confidence to get up and meet her brothers. When Alice opened the door she found a blanket and a glass of water outside the door. The water felt refreshing after she had been crying all day and the blanket made her feel safe and secure as she walked down the steps.
As she slowly crept down the stairs Alice couldn't hear anything. Nothing. Not even the television was on. No one was talking. No one was moving. She went into the living room where she saw Edward and Emmett sitting on the couch. They sat stiff as boards. Neither of them talked. Neither of them moved. They just stared off into space. When Alice came into view Edward shot up, ran over to Alice, and pulled her into a hug. He grabbed her head and they slowly fell to the ground. They just sat there, crying. After a while Emmett walked over and joined the two on the ground. The three siblings just sat there, on the living room carpet, and cried. The whole night just consisted of them sitting there. Finally after hours of sitting and crying they stopped. They all got up and wiped their faces and got glasses of water. After sitting in the living room again everyone was waiting for someone to bring up the huge elephant in the room. Alice.
Emmett was the first to speak when he just asked a simple question. "Why?" Alice just sat there, starring off into space ready to burst into tears at any moment. When Alice didn't answer Emmett got furious. He grabbed the pillow and flung it across the room yelling, "God damn it Alice. Listen to me. Don't you ever do that again. We need you. Hell I need you. I need you to live. You are the best thing in my life and I cannot lose you."
"IM SORRY OKAY," Alice screamed. She continued while breathing heavily." I didn't want this to happen. I just didn't know what to do. I've tried to talk to them. I've tried to reason with them. I've tried everything. So has Jasper and Jacob. Those girls are just mean. They don't like me and I don't blame them. I'm not pretty. I'm not skinny. I am only four foot seven. I look like a freaking boy. I just didn't want to do it. I didn't want to deal with them."
"I am going to kill those girls. Alice if they ever talk to you again I will make sure it's the last word they say," Emmett said as he started to fume again.
"Emmett stop it. Violence and negative words are what got us into this mess," Edward said trying to calm his brother down. "What we need to do is figure out how to help Alice."
"Help her with what? If the girls stop talking to her she'll be fine," Emmett said.
"She has a problem Em. Just think about what would have happened if no one was here. If no one found her. We could have lost her. Lost our baby sister. And you don't think she has a problem," Edward said starting to get furious at his brother for thinking nothing was wrong. The two brothers continued to fight until Alice had enough.
She stood up and started to yell," Stop it both of you. Edwards right they won't just ignore me. When they realize something's different about me they'll just keep going. I'm not saying I have a problem but I know this isn't nothing." As soon as those words left Alice's mouth she fell to the ground hitting her head on the coffee table on the way down.
As soon as Alice hit the ground the boys started to panic. Edward lunged for the phone and dialed 911. Emmett picked Alice up and tried to get her back to consciousness. Soon after the call was made, the ambulance arrived and took Alice away to the hospital. When the red flashing lights were gone the boys got in Edwards car and sped to the hospital that their baby sister was going to. On the way Emmett called the only other person that they thought this would take a toll on. Jasper.
"Hey Jazz just listen. Alice passed out and is on her way to the hospital. We know how much she means to you so we thought you should be there with us," Emmett said as soon as he didn't hear the ringing anymore. Jasper didn't say anything. He just listened. When Emmett was done talking he hung up. Tears started to fall down his face and he was getting angrier by the second. He threw his phone across the room and screamed. Jasper threw shoes and a jacket on and ran down the steps.
"And where do you think you're going at three in the morning," Rosalie said from her spot on the couch.
"I don't have time for you right now. Alice is in the hospital and I need you to take me to see her, "Jasper said in a rush.
Rosalie's face dropped. "Oh of course Jazz. Go wait in the car and I'll be right out."
When Jasper got in the car the tears started to fall. He put his face in between his legs and started to scream. He didn't even hear Rosalie get in the car and put her hand on his back. Jasper got up and fell into his sister's side just crying and screaming. He didn't know what he would do if anything happened to Alice. He was so protective of her. He didn't want anything to hurt her. When Rosalie started to drive it got quiet. It stayed quiet until Jasper got another round of screams. He kept yelling the same things over and over again. He yelled things like Alice no, what are we going to do Rose, and it can't be her she's perfect.
When they arrived at the hospital Jasper was out of the car before Rosalie even parked. He asked where his best friend would be at and ran to her floor. When he got to the floor he saw Edward and Emmett they all started to cry. The whole night consisted of everyone crying just waiting to hear any news about their favorite little girl that they so dearly loved.
