Oh my god.
We finally made it everybody.
Four months shy of FOUR years since this story had been started, it has finally been completed. April 20th would have been its fourth anniversary. Holy hell this story took me so long to write.
It really has been a journey ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary folks. I had started out as a very different writer and person at the beginning. Through the years of writing this story, I had grown, and thus, this story had grown as well in terms of quality and storytelling. In some ways, this story had taken so long to write was life has simply gotten in the way. From school work, to a personal life, I would go whole months, hell an entire year, without motivation for SARF. But also, this story had been challenging to write because it wasn't a simple white vs black tale and I had been getting into the minds of these characters more and more as the story progressed, why they chose the paths they did and what repercussions had come or will come. Because as I said before, there will be repercussions. And they will not be pretty.
So thank you to all who stuck with this story and its sporadic updates. Through the improving writing and flashbacks that had grown tiresome for a few of you, but I had really wanted to write because important info I wanted to set up for, and to dive more into who Linebeck was as a character till the end, thank you. And as always, thank you to Icearrows. I have said it before, I'm saying it now, and I will say it again in future stories. She has been with me since the very beginning of this tale. Without her, my love for Cielabeck and this story wouldn't be where it is. She is one of the few reasons I have kept up with writing this and not abandoning it like my other stories not completed had been. (The other reasons is this is a story I don't want to abandon, I have too many things to write about for it and of course, my other readers, who also fuel me to continue writing. Especially the ones who had started out reading, left after the first long break between chapters, then came back to 20 more. Thank you)
So for NERE, I hope that my updates will not be as long. But it will be a long story. At this time, the chapter outline has been finished, and Nothing Ever Really Ends is fifty chapters long. But, again, I hope to be quicker with my updates as this is the story I wanted to get to. But as fair warning, I am a college student, and thus have college duties that have to come first.
I will also be updating the beginning chapters of SARF and the entirety of IIRY? Two reasons, for new readers, I want them to have the quality of writing I have now, and two, to fix any mistakes, errors, and expand on things. In the beginning I didn't do what I do now, which is to write a rough draft, then re-write the chapter for posting. I want to get as many chapters done for that, so as a result. Even though I wish to begin writing NERE as quickly as possible and post all the goodies for you, I will be waiting until summer to being posting. I will still write rough drafts and final chapters, but nothing will be posted.
So, once again, thank you to everyone who stuck by the story for all these years. I'll see you in the summer!
