AN: It's been to long but finally here is the next chapter of New World Rises. I was going through the reviews and I'm gland that everyone is enjoying the story so far. I noticed that people have a lot of questions but some of them I can't really answer without giving away the story. I am putting a timeline at the end of this chapter that will have major events on it from before and during the war. It will be updated once and a while when important events are mentioned.
WooisLegit- More info about the war will come though the main focus right now is Alfred disappearance. It probably won't be until Ivan comes into play more that I will mention more about the war.
NinetailsKyuu9- It's ironic that you brought up how England feels about Alfred before this chapter.
Thankyou to everyone who is following, favorited, and reviewed. Your support really helps!

Alfred waited silently as Kiku made his way up to Arthur's room. He heard the door to the room above him open and the sound of voices. The familiar British accent made Alfred smile a bit but at the same time he felt a strange emotion; anguish. He quickly shook the feeling off and focused his attention back on the voices upstairs.
After a few minutes Alfred finally heard two sets of footsteps leave the room. He opened the door slightly and glanced up the stairs. He saw Arthur and Kiku step out onto the deck, still talking. Kiku glanced downstairs at Alfred and gently placed the keys on the ground while Arthur's back was turned.
After the both left Alfred grinned. "Alright," He whispered. "Let's do this." He crept upstairs and quietly picked up the keys. He quickly made his way back down to the storage. Alfred made his way past the storage crates and the rooms he already visited. Heading down another set of stairs he found himself on the lowest level of the ship. It wasn't as well lit as the other parts of the ship and instead of having different rooms it was one large open area filled with crates, chests, and bags full of supplies and goods.
He made his way around the stacks and saw that near the end of the room was a door, made of steel with a heavy lock. Grinning Alfred quickly made his way over to the door. "This has to be it. A heavy door that obviously stands out. I bet Kiku's scrolls are there," Once he reached the door he looked down at the keys in his hand. After staring at them for a few seconds he finally asked himself: "Um... Which key goes to the door?" The keying had twelve keys hanging from it and not one of the, looked like the lock on the door. With a sigh Alfred picked a random key and started guessing. He was nearing his last key when the lock finally clicked signaling that it was open.
"Yes," He whispered triumphantly. The heavy door creaked open and allowed light to pour into the pitch black room. "I can't see anything," He scowled as he felt along the wall inside the room for a switch. Eventually he found a button and when he pressed it the lights on the ceiling flickered to life. The room was still dim like the rest of the ship but at least he can see. Shelves were placed along the walls and in the center was a desk with papers. It was all very organized and neat. "Arthur must spend a lot of time in here," Alfred muttered. "It smells like tea."
He scanned the shelves looking for any box full of old scrolls only to find that there are quiet a few boxes full of scrolls. Some contained writings, others old maps. Alfred's frustration grew and grew each time a box didn't hold Kiku's scrolls. "Damn! This is going to take a bit! Why does he have all these anyways," Alfred growled. "I thought he would have more treasure like stuff locked away in here. Like gems or gold."
Pulling out another box he slammed it on the desk in frustration. His frustration quickly turned to panic when the desk started groaning underneath the force of the impact. "Oh shit. Don't break on me." He pleaded. Sadly his pleas went unheard as something crashed underneath the desk. "Shit." Alfred cursed. He quickly got on his knees and looked underneath the desk to see how much damage he caused. Alfred raised an eyebrow when he saw that the crashing he heard was a panel to a secret compartment underneath the top of the desk popping off. Confused and curious he reached up into the opening. He felt a handle and when he gave it a sharp tug he heard something click. A hidden door in the floor right underneath the desk loosed and gently swung open. Inside was a metal box. It was sealed tight and even water proof, with many different latches to keep it shut. After opening all the latches he lifted the lid of the box.
Alfred froze at the contents. There was a cellphone, some clothes, a wallet, and a watch. With trembling hand he reached in and pulled out the wallet. When he opened it he saw a picture of himself staring up at him. It was his human ID. This was all of his belongings. The electronic watch was smashed slightly and had froze on a date: December 14th, 2110. 'I went missing that day.' He suddenly realized as a storm of memories began to sweep through his mind.

Alfred whistled him himself as he walked down the snow covered sidewalk. He wore a brown leather coat with a red V-neck undershirt, dark blue jeans, and brown leather boats. Christmas was in the air and everyone seemed to be in good spirits. He grinned and waved at each person he passed. In his hand he held a plastic bag full of his favorite junk food and brand new videogames. He was preparing for a marathon of gaming with his alien friend, Tony. Deciding to take a shortcut home he turned and headed towards a park. As he made his way away from the busy street the sound of joyful chatter and caroling died down. When something floated down in front of his face he stopped and looked up at the sky. Beautiful pure white flakes of snow were gently falling from the sky. He smiled softly to himself as he watched the snow fall.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" A voice asked. Alfred turned and saw England standing by a tree, staring at him.
"Arthur," Alfred scowled at him. "What are you doing here," Arthur didn't say anything at first. He made his way over to Alfred and stopped in front of him. Arthur looked worn down and tired. He had bags under his bloodshot eyes and his skin was pale. "I see your Recession has been getting to you." Alfred said the comment in an arrogant way but honestly he was concerned for his former caretaker. His pride and stubbornness kept him from showing any concern for Arthur, the man he was having a Cold War with.
"I've been through worse," Arthur snapped. A tense silence filled the space between them. "I couldn't sleep." Arthur finally admitted.
"So you flew all the way over here? What was keeping you awake?" Arthur asked.
"You." Arthur gave Alfred and emotionless stare.
Alfred sighed. "What, were you thinking about how you are going to scold me?"
"I was thinking about what went wrong," Alfred gave him a confused look but before he could ask Arthur continued. "Then I realized that it's because I let you go and it was almost too late."
"Too late for what?" Alfred asked.
"Too late to save you. So instead I've decided that you needed to be reformed."
"What?" A flash of silver caught Alfred's eye but he reacted to late. The blade pierced his coat and sunk into his stomach. Alfred stumbled back as the blade slid out and looked down at the blood pouring from the wound.
"I know that won't keep you down. You are a Nation. A superpower. So I put some medication on the blade. It will put you. To sleep." Arthur whispered. He smiled as Alfred glared at him.
"You! What's is your problem?!" Alfred demanded. Fist raised he charged at Arthur and punched the shorter nation in the jaw.
Arthur fell into the snow, glaring up at Alfred. He quickly kicked Alfred in the side of his knee and forced him down into the snow. Arthur rolled onto Alfred and pinned him down with a grip around his neck.. Just when Alfred was about to push Arthur off, Arthur kissed him. There was a slight pain from their teeth clashing and Alfred felt Arthur invade his mouth. Alfred was frozen with shock. When they parted Arthur stared into his eyes with hunger.
"You were better off back when you were under my control. With your freedom you changed and now Ludwig has been putting thoughts into your head about new laws and policies," Arthur spoke Ludwig's name with bitterness and hate. He glared down into Alfred's eyes "I know this will hurt, poppet," Arthur's gaze softened and he smiled at the nation beneath him. "But it's for your own good. You will thank me once I'm done."
Alfred felt a moment of fear. He could feel the drug taking effect and his eyes grew heavy, but what scared him the most was the look in Arthur's eyes. It was a mixture of hatred, insanity, and desire. "Are you insane?" Alfred whispered as he felt his strength leave him.
"If I have gone insane," Arthur muttered. "It's because you chose him over me," Alfred's vision started to go but right before he past out he heard Arthur call out to someone. "Get him in the car. Make sure no one saw this. If the other Nations found out then I will be in trouble."

Other images of blood, torture, and pain started to make their way into Alfred's mind. "No." He whispered. His body shook and he gripped his hair. "I don't want to remember the rest." He pleaded. "I don't want to know anymore." Alfred felt tears run down his face as he moved away from the desk and into a corner. He squeezed his eyes shut as if it was just a bad dream and when he opened the, he wouldn't remember a thing.
'It was Arthur's fault,' He realized. 'He tortured me... He..' Alfred curled up into a ball. He felt betrayed and torn.
Once again images started to work their way into his mind but he shook his head. "I don't want to remember this. I don't want to know what happened after."
"But you must, poppet," Alfred's eyes shot open and he turned to look towards the door. Arthur was standing there grinning with an unhealthy look of longing in his eyes. "If you don't I will have to start all over again."
