Alfred sat in his living room staring into space. He wondered about Arthur, Kiku, and the other nations but most of all he thought about Germany. As days passed dreams about the older nation started to increase. Dreams or memories, he couldn't quiet tell anymore, but what he did know was that he missed the nation.

"Excuse me, sir," Alona, his robotic servant, interrupted his thoughts. "Would you like anything?"

"No... I think I'm fine, thanks," After a moment of silence Alfred asked; "Has Washington returned from his meeting yet?"

"Sorry, but I am afraid that he hasn't. The meeting should last for about an hour more." She responded.

Alfred sighed. "Alright."

After another moment of silence she spoke again. "If I may, sir, I looked through my data bases and I think I found the perfect thing to help you pass the time."

Alfred raised an eyebrow at the ceiling. "What is it?" She didn't respond but instead the flat screen TV that was hanging on the wall in front of him turned on. The blue screen quickly changed into a movie menu. Alfred grinned as he looked at The Avengers menu screen.

"Would this be a great way to pass the time?" She asked.

Alfred nodded. "You are a computer program after my own heart. Play, please."

"Yes, sir." She said gleefully as the movie began to play. The movie was a wonderful distraction from the questions that have been spinning around in his head. He smiled and sulked through various moments of the movie. As the movie neared it's end the door to his room swung open and Washington stepped inside.

"Good afternoon." He muttered. Loosening his tie Washington collapsed down next to Alfred on the couch.

Alfred looked over the exhausted scientist. "You look exhausted."

"Yeah. I spent the whole day going over reports. You're lucky. You get to sit here all day." Washington gave Alfred a tired smile before stealing his cold soda.

"Hey," Alfred protested. "I was drinking that!"

Washington glanced down at the dozen empty bottles sitting on the table in front of them. "I think you had enough." Alfred pouted but quickly grabbed another bottle.

After a moment of silence Alfred sighed. "Did you think I did the right thing?"

"Ah, you mean about England," Alfred nodded. Washington took the time to take a couple of sips before answering. "I think you should have killed him, to be honest. He's trouble and now that he knows that you are alive things will just get harder for us. But it's to late for regrets. For now lets focus on the party coming up."

Alfred frowned. "Alright. What's the plan?"

"Well we now have a way in. South and his rebels just returned from a trip into the colonies. They went to gather some of the clothes we need."

"South did? Really?" Alfred raised an eyebrow.

Washington shrugged. "Well it would look weird if we sent scientists out to pick up masquerade masks and nice clothes. Plus, he volunteered."

"Alright. Do I get to look like a pirate?" Alfred asked early.

Washington gave him a look. "No."

"And like that this mission became way less exciting." Alfred pouted.

"Maybe you should head down and see what South is up to. It's not often that he stays in the base. Why not see if he has anything for you," Washington suggested. "There might be something for you to do that will take your mind off of everything."

Sighing Alfred put his drink down. "Okay. I haven't seen him in a while." Alfred pat Washington in the shoulder before heading out. Every time Alfred looked around the base he's always impressed at the strange mix of Victorian and sic-fi designs. It was beautiful but Alfred has to admit that he missed the life he had before. As his mind wandered he soon found himself in front of the lounge that was turned into and office and storage for South.

When Alfred entered he saw that the room was filled with boxes full of an arrange of things. From clothes to weapons to scraps of technology to books, it looked like you could find anything in his room.

"Hey, North," Alfred looked over and saw South looking at him from over a stack of ammo crates. "What's up?" he asked.

"I came down to see how you are doing and if you have anything for me," Alfred glanced into the boxes as he headed over to South. "Wow. How much stuff do you got in here?"

"Ah, I lost count of my stock. But 'ere, I have the disguises for the party." He said motioning for Alfred to come closer.

Alfred moved closer and saw that South was holding a silver mask with red and blue decorations. When Alfred reached him South handed him the mask. "This is ya mask for the ball. All of us will be wearin' specific masks so that we can tell each other apart."

"Alright," Alfred nodded. "Sounds like a plan. Will you be joining us?"

South nodded. "Yup," he held up a mask similar to Alfred's but instead of silver it was black. "This is mine. Then I also have the others in here as well," He motioned to the box full of masks. "The ship has only a few cells that can hold a nation. All we have to do is make it there after the distraction starts."

"Distraction?" Alfred raised an eyebrow.

South smirked. "Don't worry. I have something planned," They sat there in silence as they looked through the boxes. After about ten minutes South spoke up. "I heard about what happened from Washington."

"You did?"

"Yup. He was pretty upset when he heard that not only did ya sneak onto the ship yourself, but ya also let England go."

Alfred sighed. "Well what was I suppose to do! You, out of all people, should understand how I feel the most."

"Yes, I do," South turned and looked Alfred in the eye. "That's why I say you did the right thing."

Alfred blinked in surprise. "Really?"

"Yes. We are brothers and I support you in this." South smiled at him. "But lets just hope he doesn't get in our way to much."

Alfred nodded. "Well no matter what we will win." They grinned each other and bumped fists before looking through the boxes once more.

Arthur glared straight ahead as he walked through the hallways of Sputnik II. Crew members glanced at him confusion as he passed. It's unusual for him to visit which worried to crew of the spaceship. His guards wearing bright red coats, followed behind him. Without waiting to be invited in, Arthur made his way into Russia's office. When the doors slipped open Russia looked up at England with a raised eyebrow. He straighten his scarf and his long uniform coat before speaking.

"Ah... England," Russia put away his pen and placed the documents in a folder. "I was told that you boarded. This is an unexpected visit."

"Get out." England glared at Russia's guards who nervously looked at their commander. Russia nodded at them and they quickly left the room. Once they were gone England dismissed his own guards and moved closer to Russia's desk.

"You seem to be in a bad mood, Comrade," Russia scowled at him. "Why are you not down on the surface playing pirate?"

"I thought that you had Mars under your thumb," Arthur exclaimed. He tore off his gloves and threw them down on the desk. "I thought that you had everything under control."

Russia glared at England and stood up so that he was towering over the smaller nation. "Are you saying that I have lost control of Mars," He hissed. "I have absolute control, comrade. Nothing happens without my knowledge."

"Oh, really," England sneered up at Russia. "Did you know that America is still alive?"

Russia froze and stared at England with wide eyes. "What did you say?"

"America is alive. He snuck onto my ship. I want him caught, Russia. I will not tolerate him dying on me again."

"How is he still alive?" Russia questioned.

England frowned at him. "I don't care how. He might still have... feelings for Germany," He spat out those words like at if they were made of poison. "I know you have him on this ship. Alfred might be coming for him so be on your guard."

"How did you know I caught Germany," Russia narrowed his eyes. "I didn't send you a report."

"You seem to be forgetting that I call all the shots. It's because of me that you didn't fall to America in the war. You may appear to be in power but you know as well as I do that The only reason you are currently in power is because I have been playing innocent with the other nations. I have eyes and ears everywhere." England grabbed his gloves and slipped them back on. "I want him captured alive, Russia." He turned away from the desk and started to walk towards the door.

"I will make sure to put my best men on capturing him." Russia muttered to England's back.

"Ah, I almost forgot," England paused in the doorway. "I decided to bring Ukraine with me to the ball."

Russia's eyes widened. "What? Are you really bringing her?"

"Of course. After all you haven't seen her since the war. I decided to give you a short family reunion." England smiled and walked away leaving Russia to think about the recent turn of events.
