As he was dragged across the room he took one last look around for Adam and South but still saw neither of them. He could feel his heart pounding faster as he was dragged closer to the group of nations.

"And that's how the awesome me took care of the pirates single handedly!"

"Oh really? With only a bottle of beer and a pencil?"

"Yeah!"

"Sorry if we don't believe you, Prussia."

"Oh come on! Why would I lie about something like that," Prussia glanced over France's shoulder and spotted England and Russia approaching. "You believe me, right, England?"

England rolled his eyes. "Maybe if you were fighting Frenchmen I would believe you."

France frowned. "How amusing. I wish you would keep your people under control."

England shrugged. "We are all just having a little fun. It's a new world and a new beginning."

Alfred and Russia stood awkwardly just outside of the circle of nations as they talked. It seemed that no one really wanted to pay attention to Russia or the stranger. Russia scanned the group with cold eyes with one hand still holding Alfred in place.

Alfred shifted uncomfortably. He couldn't stand the silence and decided to speak up. "So... are you looking for someone?" He looked at Russia with a forced smile.

Russia stayed silent for a few seconds before responding. "Yes... I was told that someone would be here."

"Oh," Alfred paused in thought. "Who is it? Maybe I could help."

"I don't think you can. You wouldn't know what she looks like." He responded bluntly.

'oh that's right.' Alfred thought to himself. He almost forgot that he was in disguise. "Well," Alfred shrugged. "Describe her. Maybe I could help."

Russia sighed in frustration. "It's my sister."

"Your sister? Couldn't you visit her any time you want?" Alfred looked at him curiously.

"No. Now please be quiet." Russia's voice was cold and stern. Obviously it wasn't a request.

"Oh don't be rude to such an handsome young man, Ivan." France smile seductively at Alfred as he spoke and gently put his hand on his shoulder. Alfred awkwardly returned his smile.

"I'm sure Ukraine is around here somewhere." England smiled as his eyes met Russia's. Even though the smile looked warm and caring his eyes looked amused. The amusement went unnoticed by the rest of the group.

France grinned at Alfred and stepped a but closer."So... Why are you here in the company of such a brute when you could be in my company?" His fingers gently brush over Alfred's shoulders and down his arm.

"I um... I just... well we were talking..." Alfred muttered. He would step away from France but that would mean stepping closer to Russia.

"Must you flirt with everyone you meet, Frog?" England sighed with disgust.

"There is no need to be rude," France frowned. "You were no better back in the day."

They both started to growl insults at each other and as Alfred watched him he couldn't help but smile. It was nostalgic and almost comforting watching everyone talk and laugh together. England and France were loudly fighting. Prussia, Austria and Hungary were telling stories. Spain and The Italy Twins were goofing around. Japan, Greece, and Turkey were talking quietly to them selves... it was just like the parties they would have before each meeting. Alfred's smile faded when the reality of his death hit him. They killed him and things are different now... now that he remembered it he felt lonely.

A sudden tightening of Russia's grip caught his attention. He felt a pain grow in his arm as Russia squeezed tighter. "Uh... Hey think you can loosen up there, big guy?" Alfred laughed awkwardly as he tugged on Russia's sleeve.

Russia grunted and let go with out sparing him a glance. This was his chance. He glanced at the others before quietly stepping away from the group. Once he was a good enough distance away he quickly slipped back into the crowd. Once he put a good enough distance between him and the group he relaxed. He looked around the ballroom and noticed that the guards were acting strange. It must have started.

His suspension was confirmed when the ship suddenly shook violently. The guests screamed and looked around in a panic. Among the chaos Alfred saw Adam slip out of the room when the guards left. Alfred saw the England and Russia run from the room and was probably heading to the bridge. A couple some of the nations stayed to calm the crowd.

"Alright. Here I go." Alfred muttered to himself as he glanced at each exit. Eventually he decided to use the exit that was closest to him. He took only a couple steps towards it before someone grabbed his shoulder.

"Alfred-kun." Japan lifted up his mask to reveal himself.

Alfred looked at Japan with wide eyes. "Kiku, what-."

"There's no time to talk," Japan shoved a key card into Alfred's hand and pointed towards the same exit that England and Russia left through. "Three floors down. Stay hidden. Watch for cameras."

Alfred nodded and ran for the exit. The hallway was darker than the ballroom and looked less welcoming but Alfred didn't stop to scan his surroundings. He ran down the hall and stopped at the first elevator he saw. He pressed the touch pad near the door. It was locked.

"Damn it." Alfred cursed. They must have locked it because of the attack. He continued down the hall to find the stairs or any other way down.

"Hey," Alfred froze and saw a guard down the hall. The guard was scowling at him but more importantly, standing by the stairs. "This area is off limits to party guests. Turn back now."

Alfred sighed. "There is no turning back." He muttered.

The guard waited but when Alfred didn't move he yelled again. "Hey, are you listening to me," He grabbed his gun and moved closer to Alfred. Alfred stared the guard down as he got closer. He felt a bit nervous but excited. "Hey!" The guard reached out and grabbed Alfred's shoulder and tried to force Alfred back to the Ballroom, but Alfred didn't budge.

"I may not be as strong as I once was," Alfred grinned at the guard. "But I'm strong enough to kick your ass." Alfred grabbed the guard's arm and twisted it around. A sickening crack sounded as he snapped the guards arm. The guard choked back a scream as Alfred pushed him away.

He fell to the ground but quickly scrambled to get back up. By the time he raised his gun Alfred grabbed the guard by his neck and threw him against the wall. The guard hit the wall and fell to the floor. He didn't move as Alfred ran as fast as he could down to the holding cells.

"Hey, where did you come from?!" Alfred skidded to a halt when he reached the holding cells. In front of the gates a group of guards glared at him.

Alfred quickly looked around. "Where's Ludwig? Where's Germany?" He asked.

"What are you doing here, brat?" The guards armed themselves but Alfred was already running towards them. He grabbed the rifle of the closest guard and with a swift kick to the stomach he ripped it out of his hands. The guard he kicked stumbled back into the man behind him while the other two moved aside to put some distance between them and Alfred. As they raised their guns to fire at Alfred the young nation stepped back allowing the bullets to fly passed. He felt his skin burn as one grazed his cheek while the others left holes in his jacket.

Alfred grinned as the guards took each other out but the feeling of victory didn't last long. A sharp pain pierced his shoulder. He quickly turned and saw another guard at the end of the hall. Alfred quickly raised his rifle and shot down the last guard. He groaned and grabbed his shoulder. The bullet went straight through.

"Damn it," He muttered. Alfred scowled, unsure how long it will take for it to heal. He glance around and walked into a nearby office. The wall was covered in monitors, each one showed a cell. Next to it was a map showing where each camera was located. Alfred ignored the blood dripping from his shoulder as he flipped through the cameras. 'No, no, no, no, no." He whispered as the camera showed either an empty cell or a lowly prisoner. Eventually he stumbled upon a camera with no image, just sounds.

'Maybe this is it.' Alfred thought as he eyed the black screen. He glanced at the map and saw that the camera was located in the largest and most isolated cell. 'That must be it.' He grinned. Holding his shoulder tightly he ran towards the cell praying that Ludwig was there. Alfred panted as blood soaked his white dress clothes. He gripped his shoulder tighter in an effort to stop the blood flow.

"I'm almost there." He muttered as he grit his teeth.

Ludwig's eyes fluttered open. He slowly lifted his head. His wounds oozed blood as he moved but something happened. The whole ship shook and it wasn't just debris. That was cannon fire. He struggled against the chains that held him in place. Ludwig groaned from the pain that each movement caused him, but he was curious. The sudden sound of footsteps caught his attention. Someone was running down the hall.

"Who... whose there?" Ludwig called. His voice was raspy and weak. Something slammed against the door followed by the sound of keys and someone frantically trying to open the door.

"Ludwig! Are you there?!" A voice shouted. Ludwig's icy blue eyes widened.

"Alfred!" He shouted. Ludwig violently struggled against the chains. The door flew open and an exhausted Alfred rushed in.

"Ludwig! Finally," Alfred hugged Ludwig but quickly let him go. "We have to get you out of here. Adam and South went their separate ways but they should meet up with us later." Alfred quickly found the right key and unlocked Ludwig's chains.

"Adam... and South?" Ludwig looked at him curiously as Alfred freed him.

"Yeah. They came to help too." Alfred grinned and helped Ludwig up. "I'll explain later." Ludwig nodded and used Alfred as support as they made their way out of the cell. Alfred guided Ludwig through the cells and to the stairs. No one was there, the coast was clear. Alfred glanced around to make sure no one was coming before leading Ludwig downstairs.

"W-Where are we going?" Ludwig coughed as he glanced around.

"We are heading to the emergency exit bay. A ship will be waiting." Alfred looked around for guards but saw no one.

"Emergency exit bay," Ludwig looked around. At one point they stepped off the staircase and were now wandering the halls. "I've been here before... I've... visited the ship before...we are heading in the wrong direction..."

Alfred glanced around. "Oh really?"

Ludwig glanced up at Alfred. "We need to... to turn back."

"Nah, I think we're gonna be fine." Alfred grinned.

"What... what do you mean?" Ludwig looked up at Alfred in confusion.

Alfred glanced down at Ludwig with a big grin on his face. "Ya gonna be fine, Germany. He'll be here soon." Alfred let go of Ludwig and let him fall to the ground. Ludwig hit the ground with a loud thud. He groaned at the pain and grit his teeth.

"Oh good. I'm glad that you got to him first," Ludwig looked in the direction of the second voice and saw a pair of similar eyes staring down at him. "I hope you didn't think you would have actually escaped me." Ivan smiled coldly down at Ludwig.

"I hope you remember our deal." Alfred stretched and eyed Ivan.

Ivan sighed. "Yes, South. I remember and I will keep up my side of the deal."

South grinned. "Good. I'm getting tired or running around and hiding," South looked down and his eyes met Ludwig's. "Surprise." He muttered.

Alfred ran down the hall clutching his shoulder. "Please let him be safe." He whispered. Once he reached the cell door he frowned at the lock. 'Well if I don't have a key I should just pry it open.' He grabbed the handle with his blood stained hands and tugged as hard as he could. Alfred was almost startled when the door easily opened.

"Ludwig!" he shouted as he ran into the cell.

"Sorry to disappoint you, Alfred," England whispered as he turned to face him. "But Germany isn't here."
