"Are you frakking joking?!" Starbuck asked her husband in disbelief. "A nugget class?! I have to teach another frakking nugget class?!"

They were alone in their living room/dinning room/makeshift kitchen as Jamie napped in her own room. Kara stood looking accusatorily at her husband, who sat on the couch.

"It wasn't my idea, Kara. And Dad assured me it was just seven of them, the last ones to sign up," Lee told her. "There are just too many nuggets for Racetrack to teach, so he thought you wouldn't mind having a small class for viper nuggets only."

Kara huffed and sound down by his side. She was already covered with paperwork just a week after the exodus and the Old Man wanted her to be in charge of nuggets?! It had barely been a week since the exodus… she turned her face to him. "What about Jamie?" she asked. Frak, she wanted to spend a decent amount of time with her kid every day – her daughter sure as hell wouldn't be raised in the daycare center!

Lee nodded and put his hand on her shoulder. "I also thought of that," he said. "That's why I found you a de-CAG."

She raised an eyebrow skeptically. "A de-CAG?"

"Yes, someone to help you with the paperwork, sometimes helping with the briefing…" he explained. "It's a way to delegate and ease your work. That's what I'm doing with Helo."

Delegating… that sounded like an acceptable solution, as much as she didn't like the idea of having someone sniffing her work. Jamie is first, she reminded herself. She had promised that to herself minutes after her daughter's birth and she intended to keep that promise no matter what. "And who would that de-CAG be?" she asked, already making a list of who she absolutely didn't want to that job.

"Sharon, of course," he told her naturally. It was a… bold decision but he was sure his wife wouldn't be the one to throw stones; after all, she had been the one to suggest Sharon Valerii to a crucial part of the rescue mission in New Caprica.

"Sharon? Frak, Lee you're really asking for a mutiny," she warned him. The news of a cylon acting as Pegasus's de-CAG would surely make a few waves among the fleet.

"Well, they have to get used to the fact that she helped us and deserves our trust," Lee pointed out. "You don't have a problem with her working with you, do you?"

"Of course I don't," she told him. "I was just saying…"

"Good," he said, getting up. "'Cause that will save me a lot of time of convincing."

Lee pulled her up and, in a swift move, he lifted his wife from the floor to his arms.

"Hey, hey! What's that for?!" she asked trying to free herself of him. Frak, Lee knew she didn't like that kind of moves.

"I'm taking my wife to our room where I'm going to make love to her while our daughter is asleep," he told her naturally. "Any objections?"

Well, that changed everything. She smiled at Lee wickedly. "Carry on…"

He smiled and kissed her lips as he took her to their bedroom, where he gently lowered her to the bed. The first thing Lee did was to reach for the elastic band that kept his wife's hair in a ponytail and pull it off, letting her soft blond stands cover her shoulders and upper back as she sat on the bed. "Have I mentioned that I love to see you hair this longer?" he asked as he roamed his hands through it."

Kara nodded. "Several times, actually…" she pointed out, finally joining her lips to him. H was soft and warm. Always gentle even with the smallest kiss, unless she showed him she wanted more… His fingers trailed along her arm and stopped when he reached her stomach, touching the skin between her pants and her tanks.

She felt the amazing sensation of a burning fire all over her insides. Gods, that was the man she was married to, the man she had a child with and the passion was still clearly intact every time they made love. It was nothing like the ice she felt between her parents when she was little.

"I love you," Kara told him when they lips parted.

Her husband gave her one of his deep looks and brushed her cheek with his thumb. "I love you too," he responded. "But how about I show you?"

Erin Decker stood in the sickbay talking to the phone.

"No… but can't you?… Yes, alright," she said to the phone. "But can't you wait until tonight for me to get there?" She listened to what the other person said. "Fine. I understand. Can you at least bring him here?… Thank you… Yes, I understand things are complicated now. And don't forget to bring his things too. I'll see you later, then."

She hung up and sighed. Things keep getting better and better… she thought sarcastically The gods had to be against her.

"Problems with Nate?" one of the nurses asked her.

"Seems like it," she said. The sickbay wasn't very full that day, nothing compared to the day of the exodus… "Hey, Rita," she told the nurse. "Tell Talbot I'm going to my quarters. I need to fix things for Nate."

Rita nodded and the Erin left to her small cabin right next to the life station.

In Galactica, Laura Roslin sat on Bill Adama's couch holding a mug of tea. After he filled his own mug, Adama occupied the seat by her side. She had been spending a lot of time with the Admiral since her return from New Caprica…

"So, you know that since the exodus the fleet had been under martial law," he told her. It had been a need not only because Baltar, the president, was nowhere to be seem (presumably taken by the cylons) and the vice-president, Tom Zerek, was dead, but also because there was the urgent need to re-integrate the people in the fleet, which sometimes had to be a forceful task. "And I have received a lot of people requesting for a president."

"It's only natural, Bill. People don't like to be leaded by the military," she explained, taking a sip of her tea.

"Yes, I understand that. But they all have been asking for someone in specific," he informed her. "They have been asking for you."

"For me?" she asked in surprise, putting the mug on a little table by the couch. "That's ridiculous. I lost the elections."

"Now they see that you were the right person for the job. I have received hundreds of letters saying how wise and prudent you are and how you are needed as the president…" Adama explained. "I already have people taking care of an election but nobody except you seems to be stepping in a candidate."

"I didn't step in," she reminded him. Being president again? Did she really want that? She couldn't believe that all that people wanted her to be their leader. It was simply unbelievable…

"We need you, Laura. You'll do a brilliant job," he assured her.

"I don't know, Bill…"

"You don't need to give me an answer now," he told her. "Just promise you'll think of it."

Roslin was silent for a moment, considering the offer. She sighed. "Alright. I'll do it."

"You'll think of it?"

She shook her head. "No, I'll go for the elections. Just sign me up before I regret it."

The Admiral smiled at her. "I knew you'd make the right decision."

"I'm not so sure of that…" she mumbled.

Hours later, Starbuck was at the Hangar Bay after finishing the pilots briefing. The smile on her face was difficult to hide and she thanked the gods for Helo not to be there. He would know immediately that she had 'gotten lucky' during work hours and the joking would never end…

Jamie had been left with Lee, who was in their quarters doing desk work. She supposed desk work was the last thing her husband would be thinking about now that he was left alone with their kid, who happened to be awake. He all but melted every time his little Jamie smiled at him, meaning the baby was probably saving Daddy from the 'big, bad, paperwork'. So much for the boogeyman… she thought with a laugh.

It was 1600 hours, meaning now was the time when almost all the shuttles arrived to Pegasus. Just a few individuals exited them – most of the people were avoiding leaving their ships, still a little affected by the battle that had happened just a few days ago.

"Hey, Starbuck," she heard Sharon's voice greeting her.

"Hey, Athena." Kara was getting used to call Sharon by her new callsign. It made her feel less awkward considering Boomer was also a Sharon…

"So, Apollo called," she said. "De-CAG, hum?"

"Yep, I hope you're ready for the paperwork," Kara warned her.

Sharon shrugged her shoulders. "Paperwork is not a problem to me. Plus, as long as I get to be an officer, I wouldn't mind to scrub the toilet…"

Kara snorted. "Well you can have all the paperwork if you want."

"Don't push it…" Sharon warned her. "Well, I have to get Hera from the daycare. I'll start helping tomorrow."

"Alright," she agreed. "Say hi to Hera to me."

The other woman nodded and turned away. Kara roamed through the hangar bay, checking if everything was alright. It was not the same as Galactica, where the chief would be joking with Cally about something and Jammer would be hitting on the female pilots… But she hoped that, with time, that hangar bay would turn more homey…

"Excuse me," someone said behind her.

Starbuck turned to see a middle aged woman standing there, holding a little boy's hand. The kid seemed to be about three years old and looked around with his blue-gray eyes wide in amazement. "Is there something I can help you with?"

"Yes, could you tell me which way is the life station?" the woman asked.

Life station? They were civilians and didn't seem anywhere sick enough to need special attention. Maybe they are visiting someone… she concluded. "Sure, you follow that corridor…"

"Mommy!" the little boy yelled to someone behind Kara before she could finish giving the woman direction. He started running in that person's direction and Kara turned away to see who it was – Erin Decker.

The intern lifted the kid to her arms and kissed his brown hair with a smile on her face. "Hey, Nate," she greeted her son.

A/N: I hope you liked this one. Curious about Decker? Well, keep reading. My little brother's birthday is tomorrow and I still have to buy his gift... lots to do. Remember, 10 reviews will get you a preview in my livejournal.
