Where They Met

Naruto grumbled lightly burying his face back into the soft hair that was ticking his nose. Stupid children playing outside and not respecting the fact that people were trying (and failing) to take a nap. His ocean blue eye peeked open as the figure currently nestled between his body and the back of the couch shook softly, in laughter. He scoffed softly much too tired to even think about moving. He let his eye slide back closed in hopes of falling asleep once more. He was just about to slip back into the dream world when a soft hand slid across his chest and around his neck, delicate fingers playing with the blonde hair.

"Naruto..." The soft voice sung out separating each syllable. The half asleep blonde grunted earning a soft laugh. "Come on. You've slept for most of the day Dobe." The blonde grunted again before burrowing closer the raven chuckled as the little fox that was at their feet followed his example. "And I thought foxes were hyper."

"Not all the time.." Tika yawned snuggling against Naruto's leg from where she was half under the covers.

"Didn't you have something planned for today?..." Sasuke muttered poking the blonde repeatedly.

That woke him up immediately blue eye snapping open and with a grunt Naruto pushed himself up and ran his fingers through his messy blonde hair. That's right, a tiny sly smile twitched to his lips until a pale hand tugged on his shirt.

"Stop smiling like that...it's creepy..." The blonde chuckled softly in response before leaning down and kissing the raven softly.

"Sorry, I'm going to get ready." He stood from the couch with ease and walked into their room. Shutting the door softly behind him the tall male surveyed the room in silence. Walking over to the bookcase he bit his thumb smearing his blood onto the seal hidden there. The symbols glowed blue before a compartment opened. Pulling the small black velvet box out of it he changed his clothes into a black shirt and pants before sliding it into his pocket.

Today was a special day. May 19th the day he and Sasuke had first met when they were six around seventeen years ago. They had only been dating for a few months but they had those other nine years together minus the two Sasuke was missing and the six he was in a coma and to Naruto those counted. They had loved each other since they had met after all. Today was the day Naruto was going to propose to Sasuke.

The blonde shifting for a moment swallowing hard as butterflies fluttered in his stomach. He almost laughed he hadn't been this nervous in a while.

Opening the door he walked out offering a small smile to the raven before sliding on his shoes.

"Ready?" He asked lightly offering a hand which Sasuke took immediately and weaving their fingers together. The single blue eye slid closed the smaller cool hand in his warm one took away all tension and uneasiness in a second.

Opening his eye the male stepped out if the apartment after his boyfriend before shutting and locking the door.

They walked through the town talking softly as they went through the market looking through the shops.

They went out to lunch at a small restaurant of Sasuke's choosing. Naruto couldn't help but smile at Sasuke's tomato filled dish. Sasuke had a habit of eating tomatoes much like apples when they were at home.

It was a clear night when the sun fell under the horizon. It was perfect, the stars were out and shining brightly and the moon was full. Naruto led Sasuke to the lake and onto the deck where they first met. Sitting on the dock they stared out into the water where the fireflies were dancing around flickering their lights as they moved. It was a beautiful sight to behold.

"I have something I'd like to say..." Naruto spoke up suddenly causing Sasuke to jump slightly in surprise since they had been so engrossed in the scene ahead of them. Black-blue eyes met his single blue one with a questioning look. Naruto took a deep breath he needed to tell the truth. Sasuke deserved to know more then anyone.

"Naruto?..." The raven whispered scooting closer and sliding his hand into the tall male's hand.

"I...I don't have much time left.." Naruto whispered lightly tensing when Sasuke went rigid.

"What do you mean?" The shaking voice choked out, the smaller hand tightened around his. He could almost sense Sasuke freaking out and struggling to hold it in. "Naruto what do you-?"

"I'm dying Sasuke and I can't be healed. I have too much chakra for my body to handle. It also keeping me alive though so it can't be drained...We think I'll probably have until I'm forty...maybe..." Naruto interrupted softly knowing if he didn't he would not be able to talk.

Sasuke was silent hand gripping onto the blonde's tightly and refusing to let go. Without warning with a flutter of navy blue cloth that Sasuke wore, kimono like shirts had become his favorite, thin arms wrapped around Naruto's neck the sudden movement almost made the blonde fall backwards. The pale male shivered and sobbed heavily into to broad shoulder. Naruto bit the inside of his cheek hating the tears that were soaking the shoulder of his shirt.

He waited patiently until the sobs fell into sniffles and hiccups before slowly pulling away.

"Y-you can't...you can't leave me you dumb idiot." Sasuke choked out refusing to let go of Naruto.

"It'll be okay..." Naruto whispered softly in hopes of calming the raven. The smaller body pressed closer head shaking, hands clenching the fabric of his shirt. "It'll be okay..."

"How?! How is it going to be okay? You are dying Naruto! Dying!" Sasuke screamed eyes a swirl of emotions. His face crumpled tears sliding down his cheeks and he struggled to wipe them away to no luck for they kept coming. "And I can't do anything to help...I don't want to loose you...you're...the only thing I have left...please...I need you..."

"I know Sasuke...I know... Tsunade and I... We are trying to find a cure." Naruto whispered softly taking the shaking hands that held his shirt in a death grip. He cupped him in his own pressing a soft gentle kiss to the cold knuckles before blowing warm air into them.

"I love you..." Sasuke whispered his voice just barely heard in the quiet night.

"I love you too...more then anything else. I want to be by your side through everything...until the end..." Naruto scratched the back of his head softly. "I'm not good at this kind of thing...but basically what I'm asking it...Sasuke Uchiha...will you marry me? It's okay if you doing want to..with me sick and all we won't have much time but-" he didn't get to finish his sentence, a soft mouth pressing to his halted his words.

"I don't care how long you have...we will make the best of it...okay?" Sasuke smiled softly pulling away from the kiss. Naruto chuckled softly digging into his pocket and pulling out the small velvet box before opening it. The ring was simple. A small band with two small gems in it, one for each of them. He slipped it onto the male's left hand ring finger before pressing a soft kiss to the hand and resting his forehead against the cool flesh.

"I was nervous...I completely forgot what I was going to say...sorry I had something a little more grand in mind." The blonde mumbled sighing. The raven laughed gently running his fingers through the spikes.

"It's okay, this was more you...you never were the one to get all sappy..." The taller male shrugged lightly before looking up at the sky.

"It's a perfect night..." Naruto smiled faintly as the raven rested his head in the male's shoulder.

"Yes...it is indeed.." The smaller male nodded never letting go of the blonde's hand and never moving from where he pressed into his side.

"This is my favorite place..." Naruto said suddenly.

"Why is that?" Sasuke tilted his head up to see the blonde more clearly. The blue eye softened before looking down to him.

"It's where I met you..."

Meh... This chapter is not my best but I hope it was okay.

I'm sorry this chapter is so short and that I took so long to update.

I need ideas for their wedding. So any will be amazing.
