White Kunai

Chapter 19- Stay

"What-?" Hinata gasped in shock as Yoru held a kunai to her throat.

"Shut up!" he exclaimed, making sure her chains were secure. "Your stupid lover is here. I saw him fucking up my home and employees upstairs."

"Naruto-kun…" Hinata said happily.

"I said shut up," Yoru demanded roughly, pressing the metal against her throat.

"HINATA!"

All heads turned towards the now open door at the sound of Naruto's voice some distance away.

"Damn," Yoru muttered.

There was a slam, followed by scrambling sounds of footsteps as the orange ninja slid past their room only to come running back. He bound into the room, slowing down to a walk as he quickly observed the situation with sharp eyes, outlined in a threatening red. He was connected with Kurama, and both the fox and the host were not at all happy with the ongoing events.

Hinata watched his eyes glance over Tsuma's corpse and saw a muscle clench in his jaw as a frown formed on his face. He saw Mizuki standing in the middle of the room, clutching a kunai crusted in blood, and weaved his way around her. He saw Ino chained to the wall, her wrists dark and bruised. His eyes stopped on the kunai pressed to Hinata's throat and he bared his teeth, his canines just a slight more elongated than normal. He shot a glare at the scarred mans face but his eyes softened when he met Hinata's.

"Hey…" he said softly, smiling.

"Hi," she said, the corner of her lips curving upward.

"I don't think this is the right time," Yoru said a bit miffed.

Naruto turned his attention back to the assailant. "Bastard," Naruto snarled, taking a step towards them.

"I don't think so," Yoru said, pressing the kunai down harder on Hinata's throat. This time he drew blood. The little red droplet slid down her pale neck and Naruto tried his best to control himself. Naruto didn't want to do what he did next but two could play the hostage game. Right before Naruto made his move, Yoru realized, eyes wide, what he was going to do. "Mizuki come to me! Get away from him right now!"

Naruto smirked, his eyes going red for less than a second as he followed the trail of blood down Hinata's neck. "Too late," he said, and grabbed Mizuki from behind, a kunai in his hand.

Yoru stiffened. "I guess we're at a stalemate."

"No," Naruto stated. "We're not. I could probably rip that kunai from your hand before you even blinked."

"Key word in that sentence: probably," Yoru said with a sneer. "Do you really want to take that chance? Do you want me to slit your precious girlfriends neck? Shame. I didn't get to touch her as you surely did," Yoru ran a finger down her cheek softly and Hinata moved her head away as much as she could without injuring herself on the sharpened weapon.

"Keep your fucking hands off her," Naruto snarled.

Yoru glanced up at him. "I wonder if you would react like this if I was holding the kunai to your blonde friends neck."

Naruto's eyes darted to Ino.

"Stay the fuck away from me you fucking psycho," Ino scowled.

"Wow, mouth on this one, huh?" Yoru said with a dark chuckle.

"Don't you dare hurt either one of my friends," Naruto said. "I can kill your sister in more ways than you can count."

Yoru seemed to stiffen at that declaration but he quickly relaxed. Ignoring the last half of what Naruto said, he continued, "Well, I certainly don't think Hinata-chan here is just a friend."

"Naruto-kun-" Hinata spoke up. Yoru whipped his head towards her and narrowed his eyes.

"Hinata-" Naruto started.

"Naruto-kun, let Mizuki go," Hinata stated.

Yoru's eyebrows were still furrowed. He was confused but he wasn't against what his captive was saying.

"What-?" Naruto asked, looking confused. He loosened his grip on the girl but still held her tight enough so she couldn't slip away. She didn't seem to want to. She was silent throughout the whole ordeal and was now looking at Hinata with confused eyes. "But why-?"

"Trust me," Hinata said. Her eyes quickly darted towards her captor and back to Naruto. "Mizuki doesn't need to get hurt," she continued. "Let her go."

"I-I-" Naruto didn't know what to say. "He'll-"

"Naruto-kun." Hinata said simply.

Naruto opened and closed his mouth once but sighed and relented. He released his grip from the young woman who stumbled slightly and looked around warily. "Dammit Hinata…" Naruto muttered under his breath.

"Mizuki, get behind me right now," Yoru commanded, angling himself so that he was still holding the kunai to Hinata's throat but there was now space between him and the wall. Mizuki walked there slowly, hands limp at her side and stood beside Hinata's dangling body, behind her brother. Yoru, satisfied with the new situation, looked back up at the orange ninja now standing alone at the other side of the room with nothing but a dead corpse. "Now what do you plan to do?" Yoru asked with a smirk. "My sister's safe with me. Your friends are all tied up. I can slit your girlfriends throat. All you have is that dead body over there."

"She has a fucking name!" Naruto roared angrily. "Tsuma. And she was pregnant, you bastard!"

Yoru looked surprised. "It still surprises me that that slipped past me. I remember seeing you taking some pastries to that hotel. Dropping most on the way. A clumsy ninja such as yourself noticed too? I must be slacking." Naruto narrowed his eyes. Hinata glanced down at Mizuki the best she could and noticed the young woman was fiddling with the red-stained kunai in her hand. "Well, she's dead now. I guess we can't do anything about her baby either."

"If you had just unlocked my fucking shackles I might have been able to heal her you bastard!" Ino shouted, struggling with her chains. Jolts of pain ran through her wrists and she hissed.

Yoru ignored her and turned his attention back to Hinata, his eyes running across her body lustfully. "So tell me…Naruto…how is Hinata in bed?"

A primitive growl rumbled deep in Naruto's throat.

"Does that make you angry?" Yoru asked, slowly un-parting the flaps of her jacket. He had previously unzipped it when he was interrogating the kunoichi some time ago. "Does this make you angry?" he said, indicating to Hinata's fishnet shirt underneath. "She has quite the body hidden beneath her bulky jacket doesn't she?"

"Stop it, Yoru," Hinata said uncomfortably.

"Why? You let him touch you. Like I said before…I'm more experienced, I'm sure. I can make you feel good in ways he never did."

"Shut the hell up!" Naruto yelled. His teeth were clenched tight and he could feel his fingernails digging into his skin as he squeezed his hands into a fist. He felt his nails pierce through his skin and realized dimly that his nails were becoming sharper and more claw-like. He was angry…really angry and he felt the kyuubi's power itching to take over as Kurama hissed gruesome things he wanted to do to their enemy in his mind.

Yoru ignored him and with a quick wave of his arm, slashed Hinata's jacket right off of her. "Sorry about your coat," he said. "It would have been quite difficult to remove it normally because of the cuffs," he patiently explained. Hinata shivered from the sudden cold in the damp prison room.

"So considerate…" Ino muttered angrily. "Fucking pig."

Yoru stared at her with cold eyes. "Watch your mouth. Just because you don't fit my code doesn't mean I won't slit your throat. I made an exception with that Uso guy."

None of them were surprised at the news.

Hinata looked at Naruto's angry face apologetically but he wasn't looked at her. His eyes were on Yoru's hand that rested on her hip. The other continued to hold the kunai to her throat. From the corner of her eyes she saw Mizuki still beside her, staring at Tsuma's body at the other end of the room and glancing back at her brother with emotionless eyes.

"Well, anyway," he said, turning back to Hinata. "Now this isn't how I planned it at all. You see, your…former lover wasn't supposed to find you yet. Or alive actually." Naruto restrained himself with much difficulty. "No, I was going to pleasure you many times over. But now I might not be able to. Shame…I really wanted to. Sincerely I did," he waited for Hinata to reply. She didn't. "That was a compliment."

"Yoru, just… stop," Hinata said softly.

"You can try begging," he said rudely. "On your knees maybe." He looked at Naruto, giving him a wink. "Tell me, is she good on her knees?"

"My killing intent is so high right now," Naruto said, his voice frighteningly low and calm.

"I'm just trying to make friendly conversation," Yoru said innocently.

"Shut up," Naruto said. He looked at Hinata, his eyes sad. She gave him a strained smile. This would work out. She was just waiting for something. She had a plan, Naruto could tell that much, but he didn't know what and it bothered him. He had to just stand here and watch Yoru touch her. He felt as though he could reach her in time but he didn't want to take the chance. One small flick of Yoru's wrist and Hinata could be dead in minutes. "Damn it…"

It took longer for someone with the reserve of chakra like Naruto's to realize that it was slowly being drained. He stiffened. He didn't have time to waste. This must have been why he couldn't sense his friends before and why they seemed so exhausted.

Yoru was saying something but Naruto didn't seem to hear it. He was too busy watching the killer's hand slowly snake up Hinata's body and slowly caress her skin through the fabric of her shirt. His fingers crept up to her breasts, still hovering, but Naruto's eyes flashed red. Hinata noticed.

"Yoru, you don't want to do this," she warned.

"Oh, I think I really do," he replied, pressing the kunai against her throat harder, causing more blood to dribble down her pale skin.

Hinata inhaled sharply. The kunai was pressed much deeper this time. She took shaky breaths and realized that the situation could get worse. She felt Yoru's free hand grasp one of her breasts and she shut her eyes. Come on Mizuki…

"Get your fucking hands off her or I will tear them off," Naruto snarled.

"You even try and I'll slit the whore's throat," Yoru said roughly.

"Don't you dare insult Hinata!" Naruto roared. "I'll cut out your tongue with blunt iron," he threated, his voice low. His whiskered marks were starting to get deeper and more ragged and a faint hint of red started to surround the ninja. His chakra was still rapidly seeping away but he could handle it for now.

"Threats won't help your situation," Yoru said. He was still. His hand rested on Hinata's chest but the transformation slowly taking over the man across the room intrigued and frightened him. But he had to maintain the upper hand. "No, threats won't do anything for you."

"But this will," came a quite voice.

Yoru took a sharp breath when he felt something poking the curve of his back. "What the fuck-"

"Move the kunai from Hinata-sama's throat, Yoru-niisan," Mizuki said softly, holding the blood crusted kunai to her brothers back.

"Mizuki-"

"I'm not playing around," she said, pushing the point in harder. Yoru hissed.

"What the hell do you think you're doing-"

"YOU KILLED TSUMA!" Mizuki yelled, silencing the room. She took a deep, shaky breath.

"Tsuma? You mean that woman? So what?" Yoru said.

"So what? So what?" Tears were rolling down the young girls cheeks. "So, I LOVED HER, BROTHER!" she shouted, a strangled sob erupting from her throat. "I loved her!" she was trembling but her eyes hardened and she stared up at her brothers back. "Remove the kunai. Now!"

"You loved her?" Yoru asked, confused. "I don't-She was married."

"And pregnant but you killed her."

"I didn't know-"

"I fucking loved her!" Mizuki sobbed. "I met her after…after your marriage. We didn't talk, you and I, brother. So I had no reason to tell you about the new friends I made. Particularly her. I met her at your wedding. Her family was a rich one. Upper class. She hated it. She was fun to talk to and…and we became friends." Mizuki's hands were trembling and Naruto was starting to feel the effect of the chakra being sapped from him. The red aura around him faded as he saw Yoru remove his hand from Hinata's chest and the kunai at her throat loosen. "She knew I liked her. But she didn't care. I understood we couldn't be together. She had a husband. One who was trying very hard to get their relationship to work," Mizuki continued, speaking quick now. "I understood. But I couldn't help it. I loved…I love her and I loved her friendship. Damn it. And now she's dead!"

"Mizuki-"

"No!" she shouted, pushing the kunai slightly into his back. Little drops of red were beginning to stain Yoru's white clothes. "If I didn't transform into her when I had to keep Naruto occupied…If I had told you about her…If I told everyone what you were doing…If…If I didn't get raped-Maybe all this wouldn't have happened! Tsuma would still be alive!"

"Mizuki, it's not your fault," Yoru said, sounding sincere. "You didn't ask for this-"

Mizuki clenched her teeth. "You're right. I didn't ask for her to die. It's…it's your fault."

"Sister-"

"And if you don't move the kunai from Hinata's throat right now I promise I won't hesitate in sticking the same kunai you stuck through Tsuma's body into yours."

"NO!" Yoru suddenly said. "I never wanted you to have to do any of this," he said, sounding genuine. "I didn't want you involved. I wanted you to remain innocent…I never wanted any harm to come to you."

Silent tears rolled down his sister's face. "Well, it's too late for that…"

"Mizuki-"

"I'll do it, Yoru-niisan!" she yelled. "Move the kunai."

Yoru hesitated but the small pressure on his back forced him to move the weapon. He cursed and gripped it tightly in his hand.

Suddenly there was a flash of orange and Yoru found himself pushed against the wall, a silver kunai at his throat. He opened his eyes wide in surprise and was staring back into blue ones, occasionally flashing deep red with slit pupils.

"How's it feel to have a kunai at your throat, you bastard?" Naruto snarled, pressing the point to his throat, drawing blood.

"No!" Mizuki yelled, clinging to Naruto's arms. "Stop! Don't hurt him!"

"Get off me!" Naruto said, shaking his arm slightly. "I'm going to fucking kill him! How dare you touch Hinata like that! How dare you hurt my friends!"

"No, stop!" Mizuki said, throwing her weapon to the ground. She faced Hinata and looked at her with pleading eyes. "I know he's bad. I know that now! But he's my brother!"

Hinata's thoughts went back to her sister Hanabi and her "brother" Neji.

Naruto had taken two kunai and thrust them into the palm of his enemy's hands. "That's for touching her!"

"Throw him in prison! Throw us both in prison but please, please, Hinata-sama, don't kill him!" Mizuki said. "I wasn't really going to-I was ready to but…but…not anymore. Please!"

Sounds of punches and groans of pains echoed through the room while the young girl was pleading to Hinata. Naruto heard nothing of the conversation. He was too busy bruising the man and causing him as much pain as he could. He had him on the ground and was punching him roughly in the face. Yoru tried defending himself but this wasn't his forte. Yoru was as much effected by the chakra damper as the rest of them and he certainly wasn't the type to fight hand to hand. It was genjutsu he was good at and he was helpless.

"You-touched-Hinata-" Naruto said, punching him with each word. "You-hurt-my-friends!"

"Naruto-kun!" Hinata said. Naruto stopped mid punch, his hand shaking slightly. His fists were cut and bloody with both his own and Yoru's blood. "Naruto-kun, look at me." He was previously, savagely, debating with himself as to whether or not he should yank out the other man's tongue.

Naruto clenched his jaw, swallowed, and looked up at Hinata. "I'm sorry," he said.

Hinata cocked her head to the side. She didn't expect that response. "What-"

Naruto glared at the man beneath him before hopping up to his feet. Yoru groaned but didn't move. Naruto walked over to Hinata, leaving only a small spaced between their bodies. He reached up and fiddled with her cuffs. "I'm sorry I didn't get here earlier," he said softly, pulling at the chains. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop him before he touched you-"

"Naruto-kun, none of this is your fault," she said. He pulled apart the metal and held Hinata against him, his face a mask of worry and guilt. She gently wrapped her arms around him. "Thank you…" she whispered.

He hugged her tightly to his chest, enveloping her against his chest securely. He was afraid she would disappear on him again. He was afraid she'd get hurt if she were out of his view. He had gotten so close to her and thinking of his life without her…hurt.

"Hey," Ino piped up. "I get you two are real lovey-dovey and all but I got sprained wrists here. Kind of in pain. Not trying to be insensitive though. Take your time," she said, laughing slightly.

The couple split apart and grinned sheepishly. Naruto went to release Ino, and Hinata leaned down next to Mizuki who was trying to wipe the blood off her brothers face.

"Stay with me," she said softly to Yoru. She knew he wasn't going to die but he looked terrible. "What are…what are you guys going to do?" Mizuki asked as her brother moaned in pain and tried to slash futilely, weakly, and randomly with his kunai.

"I want to kill him," Ino said, cradling her wrists as she approached them with Naruto.

Mizuki looked horrified and leaned over her brother protectively. Hinata frowned.

"I got a few good punches in," Naruto said, crouching down beside Hinata. "Ino's idea doesn't sound that bad to me though."

"No," Hinata said, glancing at Mizuki. "We'll report back to Tsunade like we're supposed to. There's no reason we have to take his life."

"He hurt you guys," Naruto stated, sounding a bit exasperated.

"You hurt him to!" Mizuki spoke up before quickly slapping her hands on her mouth, looking surprised at herself.

Naruto raised his eyebrows. "I only hurt him because-"

"I know, I know," Mizuki said, shaking her head. "I'm sorry. He's just my brother, you know?"

"I understand," Hinata said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"You're too nice Hinata," Ino said with a sigh. "How come none of the guards came down here after Naruto most likely destroyed the place above?" Naruto smirked.

"Yoru told them not to come down here," Mizuki said softly. They were all now huddled around Yoru's beat up body. To think this was the once frightening White Kunai Killer. "They don't know what he's done. No one does. They were told you three were bad ninjas. That's all."

The ninjas nodded. "Now what?" Naruto said, his eyebrows scrunching together angrily whenever he glanced at Yoru. His eyes would soften when he looked at Hinata.

"Now we clean up I guess," Hinata said. Everyone in the room was silent suffice for the occasional moans of pain coming from the pitiful White Kunai Killer.

They had called for backup after making sure Yoru was securely tied down in the prison. They had exited the estate with Mizuki who made sure the guards didn't treat them as enemies. With their chakra restored they were finally able to make some headway at tying up the loose ends of the mission. The Hokage had sent people over to secure the killer and his assistant. The three had made their report. The guards were interrogated about the entire ordeal, along with the main house's messenger. They all insisted they had no idea and were only doing as instructed, which was to follow the orders given to them. Both siblings would go under custody, Mizuki for a few years and Yoru for most likely life.

Naruto, Hinata, and Ino were now back in their assigned hotel rooms, packing up for hopefully one last time, getting ready to leave the Village of Ash. A message was sent to Sora who came back home to a horrible reality. His son was the killer that had haunted his city streets for so long. His daughter was confused and felt manipulated and had willingly went with the authorities. Yoru, surprisingly, didn't put up much of a fight. He didn't make eye contact with anyone and just insisted that his sister had nothing to do with the killings. He was willing to take the fall for them both. Mizuki was manipulated, he would say. She had nothing to do with any of the murders.

Otto, the owner of the restaurant Naruto and Hinata had frequented once, was informed about his wife's death. Naruto was sincerely sorry. All three of Leaf ninjas considered Tsuma's death as their own fault. Otto completely refused to talk to any of them. He was distraught at the sight of his dead wife's body and wanted nothing to do with Naruto, Hinata, or Ino. He cursed and yelled at Mizuki and Yoru, even as they were being taken away.

The three ninja, frankly, didn't give much thought to what was going on with the siblings anymore. Their job was done. They captured the White Kunai Killer with as little causalities as they could. They were successful. The clean up lasted all night. By the time Tsunade got the news and by the time ninjas were dispatched it was late in the night, approaching dawn.

The sun was high in the sky now and each ninja found themselves back home in their own village. Tsunade insisted they go to the hospital for a thorough checkup and once they were done with that Ino went home, saying she needed a good days worth of sleep.

"Hinata," Naruto said, taking hold of her hand. "Are you heading back home again?"

"I don't know," Hinata said.

"Please don't," he said, a hint of desperateness in his voice. "After that scare…after feeling as though I could really…I could really lose you-Hinata I don't want you out of my sight," he finished with a dark laugh.

"Naruto-kun…" Hinata said softly, closing the distance between them.

Naruto held her tightly to his chest, her hair ticking his skin. "Stay with me," he whispered fiercely.

"I will."

Well it's over!

Actually there will be an intermission. And then something else...

I really hope you guys enjoyed the ride as much as I did! It was fun.
