It's been five days since Kira Yamato arrived here in the Amber Era and Herta Space Station. Four days since the Astral Express and Kira found the Archangel. Four days since Kira discovered his element, Electro. Four days since Kira joined the Astral Express. And three days since Herta realized that she's falling for Kira Yamato. Oh, and three days since Herta decided to give some modifications to the Strike. The progress? Well, we'll just see.
Speaking of progress, in Herta's Office we see March, Dan Heng, and Kira. What are they doing? Well, they're using the Simulated Universe, with March and Dan Heng on the computer watching Kira's progress.
"He's getting better." Dan Heng commented with an impressed look.
"Right? It's just been four days and he's getting good at fighting!" March cheered and nodded at Dan Heng as she looked back to her comrade, then back at the computer to continue watching Kira's progress.
Inside the Simulated Universe World 2, we see Kira...with a greatsword/gun hybrid (It's Ramlethal's Greatsword. I suck at descriptions.).
Anyways, Kira did a backflip to dodge an Automaton Direwolf's slash at him, then a duck from the Grizzly's attack. Kira gave himself some distance from the Automatons before him by sliding back, then an Automaton Spider jumped beside him, ready to self-destruct, but Kira used this chance to swing the Spider toward the Direwolf, who was about to charge at him. Using the flat side of his greatsword, Kira swung his weapon like a baseball bat, with the Spider being used as a baseball, to the Direwolf. The Spider exploded upon impact with the Direwolf, who suddenly broke down, indicating that its shield was now broken.
Using this chance, Kira jumped up in the air, but not before his blade began to charge with purple tachyon, then he did a downward slash that released a purple beam that went directly to the now defenseless Direwolf. Before the Automaton could do anything else, Kira's greatsword opened up to reveal a barrel. A gun barrel. And it's aimed at its face and that's the last thing the Automaton saw.
Kira immediately turned around to see the Grizzly, who began to taunt him while in its Charged State. Kira didn't fall for the taunt, thankfully, as he aimed his weapon at the Grizzly and fired a few more beams at the Grizzly. The Grizzly took the beams like a champ as it roared and jumped to Kira Yamato, with its metallic fist now prepared for a punch.
Kira saw what the Grizzly's about to do as he used the flat side of his weapon as a shield to block the punch. But it didn't make it any better when the Grizzly's thrusters were activated to falter Kira's defense.
"Damn it...!" Kira cursed, now having difficulty holding his guard on, "I'm not about to be beaten right here!" Activating SEED mode for greater power, Kira broke off his defense while also sliding back to evade the Grizzly's punch. The Grizzly's punch hit the ground which made a powerful shockwave, with Kira stabbing his greatsword on the ground for support.
Once the shockwave ended, Kira unstabbed his weapon and prepared a stance as he charged at the Grizzly. Now in front of the Grizzly, Kira did a huge N-shaped slash first, then followed by an X, which paused the Grizzly from whatever it was doing to counter or defend itself. Once that's done, Kira's blade opened once again and aimed it at the Grizzly. Without a second thought or hesitation, Kira fired a purple beam that finally defeated his foe.
"Battle Ended!"announced a male AI.
With his training done, Kira soon found himself back in the real world as soon as he put his new weapon, given to him by Asta, to his back, which disappeared soon after... and also an electro tachyon surged through his body that caused him to wince a bit. He turned around to see March and Dan Heng once again. Oh, and a puppet of Herta was beside him, but she's immobile.
"You've gotten better than before." Dan Heng commented as she crossed her arms, "But you still need some more improvements."
"Yeah, I know. I'm still new to this." Kira said as he began to approach the two girls.
"But you're getting good at fighting and taking control of that element of yours. Not bad for a newbie." March smiled as she patted Kira's back. Clearly, she's talking about Kira's Electro element when it first manifested four days ago. March immediately trained Kira to help maintain his element first, and oh boy... it didn't go well from that day. But as the training progresses each day, Kira already got the hang of it... mostly. Because there are some bits of electro-tachyon starting to appear and surge through his body, he still needs to train a bit more.
"Well aside from that, today's also gonna be our last day here at the space station." Dan Heng noted as they left the Master Control Zone, "So what are you gonna do to the Archangel and the Strike? Now that we're gonna leave later."
"I trust Herta and Arlan for keeping the Strike and the Archangel here." Kira said as the trio entered an elevator with Dan Heng pressing the button. More specifically the storage zone's first floor, "What I need to focus the most is my goal. To find my friends."
The girls just smiled at Kira as all that was left for them is to give a few goodbyes to some people that they know of.
Concurrently while the trio is going down the elevator... some unpleasant guests arrived in another part of the elevator and outside of the Space Station. Who are they? Well, they are Kafka and the Antimatter Legion. Oh, and sirens began to blare because of the Antimatter Legion.
Kafka's currently in an elevator, pretending to play the violin, even though she doesn't physically have it and the TVs around her begin to show warning signs... and then the elevator finally stopped along with a little shake as the elevator's lights became red with her stopped mimicking to play the violin.
"Hehe... Seems I came at a bad time." Kafka chuckled as she looked up at the elevator's lights.
Then a holographic screen of Silver Wolf's image appeared in front of Kafka, who looked back at it.
"No, no —I think you couldn't have timed it better." Silver Wolf reassured her partner as she began, "23:46:15 system time. Very punctual, Kafka."
"Hmm...Elio always tells the exact future." Kafka noted as she crossed her arms under her chest with a smile, "So what's with the explosion just now? Was that also part of his script?"
"Uh-huh — "23:44:59 system time: The pulses from the explosion cause a massive breakdown from the master control system"." Silver Wolf explained.
"You did that?" Kafka asked, assuming that it was Silver Wolf who did the explosion.
"No, the Antimatter Legion did it. They completely invaded the space station two system hours ago."
Kafka whistled at that information, "Alright, so do we need to fight the Legion?"
"I dunno. Elio didn't say anything about it, so it doesn't matter."
"Got it. So from now on, I'll be in charge of this operation."
"Copy. Can you let me have some fun this time? Our last few operations turned out to be pretty dull."
Kafka gave that some thought for a moment, until she spoke, "Sorry, I'm afraid there's not much I can do for you — our task this time is just to "place" the target properly." Kafka said as she smiled to not bum her partner even further, "But if you wanna go look for some fun yourself. I won't stop you. I mean, after all..."
The elevator doors opened as Kafka walked outside, with three Reavers looking back at the elevator before them.
"After all..." Kafka started as she took out her two most trusted guns from her hips, "Elio didn't put that in the script. Why would it matter?"
She pulled the trigger of her guns, which the Reavers didn't expect because they were caught off guard. The 2 blasted Reavers were blasted to the walls, leaving the middle Reaver to put its guard up tried to attack the lady. Kafka didn't give a flying fuck about the Reaver's attacks as she elegantly dodged them while holstering her Uzis back to her hips.
Once she's done holstering her Uzis while dodging every slash the Reaver is giving to her. Feeling that the Reaver already had its fun, Kafka took something from her behind and swung it upwards that decapitated her opponent. What Kafka took out was a red-bladed katana. The now decapitated Reaver now fell down and became a dust of gold.
The 2 Reavers that Kafka shot soon recovered from their impact with the wall as they saw their now fallen comrade at the hands of this woman before them. They decided to avenge their fallen comrade by charging at Kafka and followed by an attack.
Kafka decided to humor them by either elegantly dodging or blocking their attacks, herself not even attacking back. Deciding that the Reavers now had their fun for a few minutes of attacking her, Kafka immediately broke her block from a Reaver that just attacked her by swinging upwards then followed by swift and repeated thrusts to its chest. The Reaver that Kafka was attacking couldn't do anything but get pierced swiftly. The thrusts suddenly stopped. Thank Go-Oh wait, never mind. Kafka bisected the Reaper's head. The remaining alive Reaper used this chance to attack Kafka because she isn't looking back or seems like she isn't aware of the other one. Well that Reaver thought wrong! Because Kafka suddenly pulled out her Uzi and aimed it behind her, more specifically at the head of the Reaver as the head is now bombarded with bullets.
Once all three Reavers are dead and the corpses now became gold dust, Kafka was about to leave the room, but her eye caught the sight of a picture. A holographic picture of Herta. She approached the picture and inspected it with a curious face.
"Who's this? Herta?" Kafka asked.
"Yeah." Silver Wolf replied.
Kafka was impressed at Herta's portrait as she pointed out, "She looks so young. She was already famous in the last Amber Era, no? She has to be at least a hundred years old."
"She's a member of the Genius Society and an Emanator of Nous the Erudition. She can probably age backwards if she wanted."
Kafka laughed at this, "Hah. I seem to recall that over half of the Genius Society's eighty-odd members had a normal death. Wasn't there someone who lived for a dozen days or so? What was their name..." Kafka began to think or recall the name of that member of the Genius Society, but she couldn't remember what their called.
"That's pretty normal." Silver Wolf said, "Aren't the immortal bosses in games always waiting for the protagonist to come kill them? Immortality is not always a good thing."
Kafka then chuckled, "Hah. What an Alliance joke."
With that done, Kafka went to a control panel, or controller, that manned the door. She raised her arm up to reveal a holographic keypad above her wrist. She pressed a few buttons as the door in front of her soon opened.
"When did the Antimatter Legion become so weak?" Kafka said as she soon entered a hallway that shows the exterior of the Space Station and the vastness of space.
"I could only attract this much. Did you really want the entire Legion to come here?"
"This lot won't be able to slow down the Astral Express crew."
"Relax. A Doomsday Beast is also here."
As soon as Kafka began to walk through the hallway. Kafka noticed that there are portraits present in this hallway. The portraits of the Genius Society. Kafka approached one of the portraits. Starting with a portrait of a gold robot, which is totally not C3PO from Star Wars.
"Hey! Silver Wolf! Look! It's Screwllum, your good old opponent." Kafka pointed out, much to the displease of Silver Wolf.
"Hahhhh... I told you already. I didn't know it was him." Silver Wolf sighed.
"Ah, that battle was how Elio got his eyes on you. Imagine someone actually able to crack Screwllum's code!" Kafka praised a certain event that involved Silver Wolf and Screwllum, "First Screwllum, then Herta... there's probably no one else in the universe who offended two genii in such quick succession. It must be destiny."
"Urgh... Seems like I'm the real Destiny's Slave here."
Without any second thought, Kafka continued... or was supposed to when she approached another portrait. This time, it's a blonde-long-haired man.
"Who's this?" Kafka asked, having no idea who this member is, and hoped Silver Wolf know who this person is.
"No idea." Silver Wolf answered. Well, that shattered Kafka's hope.
Kafka then went to another portrait of another man with short brown hair. Kafka seems to know him.
"This is Zandar. Zandar One Kuwabara. The first genius in history." Kafka informed.
"The one who supposedly created Nous?" Silver Wolf asked.
"Eh, that's him... If the legends are true, then he was a man who created an Aeon." Kafka replied, much to the Silver Wolf's irck.
"Well they better be false." Silver Wolf hoped, "I don't want to be a Zandar hunter."
Kafka then turned around and across Zandar's picture is a woman. With a glitch on her face. Kafka seems to know her as her face turned into disgust as soon as she observed properly the picture.
"...I know this person. She's the Lord of Silence, Polka Kakamond. See?" Kafka said as she motioned her eyes towards Polka's glitched face, "Her face is all blank. She had destroyed all of her own portraits and sculptures in the entire universe..."
"I'm not interested. Hurry up with our real business."
Then finally, they went to another portrait. An old man.
"Who's this old guy with a white beard?" Kafka asked, having no idea who this old man is.
"No idea. A Society member?"
Now that Kafka is near the door, she approached it and opened it to be met by another Reaver... who wasn't aware of her presence because the Reaver was facing on its back.
Using this chance she silently approached the Reaver while brandishing her katana. Once she was near, she decapitated the Reaver's head, rolling through the ground, and disappeared. The same goes for its body. But of course, 2 more Reavers and a Distorter suddenly appeared as they began to surround Kafka.
Kafka couldn't care less about having more enemies as she took out her Uzis and began to twirl...while shooting.
"Time to say bye." Each bullet that hit either Reaver and/or Distorter, a laser appeared. A bunch of them actually. Kafka then stopped spinning as she spread her currently raised left hand that mimicked an explosion, "Boom." Then a rain of bullets began to hit every single Reaver and Distorter, killing them with no mercy.
With no more Legion members in sight, Kafka holstered her Uzis and began to fondle her sleeves while a Reaver that managed to survive Kafka's ultimate stood up. Using this chance to attack the woman that killed its comrades, he jumped toward her to try to ambush her, but suddenly... the Reaver became pixelated particles?
Yep, you are not seeing things. The Reaver became pixels. But by whom? Well if you look behind Kafka...Silver Wolf in the flesh is there, sitting on a table and playing with her holographic keyboard.
"Cleaning up other people's mess isn't in my job description..." Silver Wolf said as she dismissed her keyboard and hopped off the table while she blew a bubblegum, "Y'know, Kafka?"
"Yeah, yeah." Kafka sighed as she approached Silver Wolf, "Where did you send it, Silver Wolf?"
"Some random coordinates...mm, not important." Silver Wolf noted as she looked back to her holographic screen on her arm then back at Kafka with her arms on her hips, "You care about where that Voidranger ended up?"
"Of course not — I'm just amazed at this fancy technique of yours as usual." Kafka praised her partner.
"Just a little trick of tampering with the data of reality." Silver Wolf revealed her trick to hack into the space station, "I wouldn't call it fancy."
"What were you looking at so intently just now?" Kafka asked, noticing what Silver Wolf did just recently, "Let me see."
"Herta's toys, a catalog featuring the space station's collection of rare items." Silver Wolf revealed, "They've got a lot of interesting gadgets."
"Like what?"
"There's this gun, it can rate any creature within its crosshair as a score from 0 to 100."
Met by an unimpressed silence from Kafka, who crossed her arms and said, "...Doesn't sound very interesting."
"Aren't you curious about how much you would score? I kinda wanna know mine." Silver Wolf said as she took out a holographic image of the Archangel, "But if that didn't interest you, how about this? A new collection. More specifically, the Trailblazers' first collection."
"The Astral Express got themselves a ship?"
"That's not all, they also got a new member." then Kira's model was shown, "This guy's name is Kira Yamato. According to the records that I hacked into, he is from another timeline called the Cosmic Era. The same goes for that ship called the Archangel."
"Kira Yamato, huh?" Kafka muttered with an interesting look as she began to inspect the model of Kira Yamato on Silver Wolf's hologram, "He looks cute."
"Of course, you would say that." 'Not that I would blame her. He is cute.' Silver Wolf then switched the model of Kira to the picture of the hangar of the Archangel that shows the Strike, currently having wires attached to its body, and the Skygrasper, "Also found this as well."
"A robot? That looks huge." Kafka said with her eyes slightly widening at the sight of the Strike, "Did Herta build that?"
"Not quite. It was found inside the Archangel, alongside those fighter aircrafts." Silver Wolf said as she began to read the database's data about the Strike and the Skygraspers, "The robot is called the GAT-X105 Strike while the two fighter planes are called the FX-550 Skygrasper. That's all from what I can get from this space station's database. It's not up-to-date yet if I assume correctly. It was assigned by this researcher named... Capote."
"I see... I guess we can swing by and play with that gun if it's not too far. And I don't think we have any time to research anything inside the Archangel or the Strike and those planes." Kafka sighed, she really wants to take a closer look at the Strike. Silver Wolf thought the same too. The Strike took both Stellaron Hunters' interest, "What's our destination?" Kafka asked, deciding to go back to their mission in this space station.
Silver Wolf looked to her left and began to give Kafka the instruction, "Go down the corridor behind the door on the left. There's a room where some kind of rare item is stored."
Rare item? That could mean..., "So that's where the Stellaron is?" Kafka asked as she is now met by Silver Wolf's gaze.
"That's where we can find out where the Stellaron is." Silver Wolf nodded as both Stellaron Hunters left the reception area by going to the left door.
"The central area of the space station is up ahead. There will be lots of Legion Voidrangers there." Silver Wolf noted as Kafka just nodded at her.
Soon they were met by another unaware Voidranger, an Eliminator, showing its back to the two.
Silver Wolf came to the decision of using her Ultimate on the poor unaware Voidranger in front, because why not she says, "This combat needs optimizing!" Then an aura of pixels began to surround the silver-haired girl as a gamepad appeared in front of her, "Hm. At this speed, too slow!"
Then blocks began to fall on Silver Wolf's hologram, at the same time there are also blocks falling onto the Eliminator's as well. To make it worse for the Eliminator, Silver Wolf began to mash the buttons on her holographic gamepad that inflict a lot of damage to the Eliminator as a score began to appear that reached 333. Then she did one final mash to her gamepad again as an orange arrow hit the Eliminator again, thus increasing the score again to 999 and the Eliminator becoming gold dust again.
With no Voidrangers in sight, Kafka and Silver Wolf continued to stroll through the hallway until they stopped in front of a door.
"Hold it." Kafka said holding her guard up, "Someone, or something, is up ahead."
On cue, a Distorter and 2 Reavers surround the two Stellaron Hunters, with Silver Wolf putting her hands on her hips and Kafka crossing her arms under her chest and closing her eyes, expecting this to happen.
"Looks like we're the ones getting ambushed." Silver Wolf noted as she looked at the Voidrangers surrounding her and Kafka.
Kafka uncrossed her arms and opened her eyes, "But they're the ones getting besieged."
The two Stellaron Hunters brandished their weapons, Kafka pulling out her katana and Uzi while Silver Wolf pulled out a sword that looks like it came out from a video game. I mean she is a gamer. And hacker. The Voidrangers charged at them as Silver Wolf jumped up and kicked the first Reaver, with Kafka firing bullets at the second Reaver, who stopped and raised its blades to block the bullets.
The Distorter tried to use this chance to try and attack the busied Kafka. Good thing Kafka can multi-task because she immediately looked back to the Distorter and gave a few slashes to the Distorter and finished it with a pierce to the head.
Noticing that the bullets stopped, the Reaver tried to charge at Kafka, but not before its chest was pierced by Silver Wolf's gamer sword, and behind Silver Wolf is just a dust of gold floating in the air.
With no Voidrangers in sight, the two entered the door to reveal an office. With lots of monitors.
"Not a single soul here." Kafka noted as she looked around the place, "Impressive evacuation work. Did Herta organize it herself?"
"According to the access history, she hasn't been logged in here for over six months." Silver Wolf said as she took a peek at the hologram on her arm, "The evacuation was directed by the acting lead researcher — a girl named Asta."
"Doesn't ring a bell. Oh, right, Elio said we wouldn't run into Herta." Kafka recalled what Elio told her, "It seems she really isn't here." Kafka then looked around the office again, not seeing the Stellaron in this place Silver Wolf told her, "Where's the Stellaron?"
"Elio's script doesn't include any info about the location of the Stellaron, which means in the future he foresees..." Silver Wolf started.
"...We would find the Stellaron in a non-physical way?" Kafka finished what Silver Wolf was going to say in a mild frustrated tone. She didn't like that they had to find the Stellaron. Damn Elio for not putting the location of the Stellaron in the script!
Silver Wolf couldn't blame her, as she herself is a bit pissed that Elio didn't include the location in the script, "This space station is packed with extraordinary objects. I wouldn't be surprised if there's one that can make it happen." Silver Wolf said.
"Hiding something extraordinary with something extraordinary... this is pretty Herta." Kafka praised, impressed at how Herta hid the Stellaron, "I assume you know what to do? I mean, you've read that catalog for quite a while."
Silver Wolf looked back at Kafka with a smirk and arms on hips, "I've got all the clues we need. The only piece missing is a simple trick. Help me investigate the terminal in this room, our item might be inside."
"Okay, the stage is yours~" Kafka mused because hacking is not her expertise.
Silver Wolf then gladly took the stage as she went in front of the huge and wide ass screen in front of her while Kafka began to investigate some tech things in the room, starting on her left. A terminal.
"Huh? I can't see the memory storage for this terminal..." Kafka muttered, having difficulty finding the said memory storage.
"This is the monitoring room, they must have deleted the records and made a run for it." Silver Wolf informed her partner, "Classic."
Kafka then left the terminal alone and went to the other side of the room, more specifically the computer that shows the surveillance of all rooms and exterior of the space station.
"I can see the whole space station on the surveillance screen... there's the Archangel, but not the Stellaron."
"Even if you could, it'd be a trap. Herta doesn't display her collections. Except for the Archangel, it's the Astral Express'." Silver Wolf said, oh speaking of the Archangel, "Speaking of which... did Elio tell you about the boy and the ship or not? Since that Kira Yamato is from another timeline and all, he could be a threat."
Kafka gave it some thought for a moment, until she answered, "Elio didn't tell me. But, I think Elio wouldn't give a damn about that boy, he's not that much of a threat. But if he is, then we have no choice but to deal with him." Kafka said as she looked back to Silver Wolf while trying to search for the Stellaron, "Besides, it won't stop our goal even if a little cutie from another timeline's here."
"I suppose you're right..." Silver Wolf said as she sighed. If Kira's gonna be a threat to them, they have no choice but to fight him. So sad, "Make your way over here then, there's no point in trying to search like this."
Kafka complied as she approached her partner while asking, "So, got a master plan? I'm all ears." Kafka asked as she stopped in front of Silver Wolf.
"It's a matter of hacking the surveillance system directly." Silver Wolf simply said as she looked back to Kafka.
"Aha, I see." Kafka said, impressed at Silver Wolf and Herta, "Herta's collections aren't in the system, so anything unaffected should be our target."
Then the screens began to change as Silver Wolf's logo began to appear as both Kafka and Silver Wolf looked at a monitor just in front, "Silver, crude, but effective. Look, found it."
Kafka went to the monitor and looked at it. She noticed something unfamiliar so she asked Silver Wolf, "Huh, what's this?"
"Item number 211, "Blind Spot": A simple light-deflecting field." Silver Wolf answered Kafka, "It allows an object in its field to pass unnoticed, but if a different item ceases to be obvious, the object gets revealed."
"So Herta hides her collection with something as simple as this?" Kafka was intrigued by this information.
"The simplest method is the hardest to spot, isn't that our motto?" Silver Wolf quoted.
Kafka then raised her arm for the holographic keyboard and she pressed a few buttons. Once she did, the room began to change for a bit as the screen in front of Silver Wolf changed and another room was on the other side.
"Strange thing number two..." Kafka whistled at the Blind Spot item that she used.
"The data suggests it's just an ordinary hologram. But it has an added layer..." Silver Wolf added, but it didn't stop Kafka or herself.
"Let's take a look." Kafka said as Silver Wolf looked at her as if she was trying to kill themselves. Kafka noticed her partner's worries as she assured her, "Don't worry, this place won't be our grave."
The two went through as they soon found themselves in a separate room, and in front of them is none other than the Stellaron.
"Interesting," Kafka mused with interest as she walked around while inspecting the Stellaron before her, "she's a member of the Genius Society alright."
Silver Wolf just looked around the room for anything else, and luckily there is. A USB drive floating on a pedestal. Silver Wolf took this chance to grab it and insert it into her holographic keyboard which made her gasp at what she saw. The Strike's data.
"So Herta kept a drive here as well...the Strike's no less." Silver Wolf mused as she began to copy the data, "I'll just copy this... Anndd, done." Then she put the USB back and looked back to Kafka, "The Stellaron's in front of you, let's hurry. I'm going to have some fun with this data that Herta kept in here."
"What's the data about?" Kafka asked as she raised her arm and press the button.
"The Strike's." Silver Wolf mused.
"Huh. It has its own security system... I guess even for Herta, a Stellaron is no ordinary rarity." Silver Wolf noted as she looked at the Stellaron and then at the USB drive containing the Strike's data, "But I wonder why the USB drive doesn't have any security system. I easily copied the data."
"Can you get it?" Kafka asked.
"Of course," Silver Wolf nodded, "even the genius Herta can't compete with me when it comes to hacking."
"Good, then I'll also count on you with the preparation of the receptacle." Kafka said as Silver Wolf complied and did her thing to her hologram. Once the Controller became from orange to green-blue with the Stellaron now security-less, Kafka approached the Stellaron and reached it out with her hand and went to Silver Wolf.
"The receptacle's ready." Silver Wolf said as she is finished preparing the receptacle, "Your decision."
Kafka grabbed the screen by her hand and swiped it in front of her to reveal the receptacles. Or receptacle.
"Elio said this decision will bring about lots of changes." Kafka chuckled.
"He also said it must be you who makes it." Silver Wolf added as Kafka picked the lone receptacle in Silver Wolf's screen. A female, "Wanna give her a new name?"
"I think not." Kafka answered as she typed the name of the receptacle. Stelle. With that done, all that's left is a fingerprint to scan for verification, which Kafka did as she caught the screen and passed it to Silver Wolf's screen, "There we go."
The screen that Kafka passed became a cube as it inserted itself into a square hole, which fitted perfectly with Silver Wolf pushing it. Then beside Silver Wolf, the receptacle now going to be known as Stelle began to manifest, with Kafka approaching the unconscious girl in front.
"How much does she remember?" Kafka said as she neared her face to Stelle, examining the girl.
"...They'll remember you." Silver Wolf answered Kafka.
Kafka raised the Stellaron up and inserted it into Stelle's chest, "Time to get up."
Once the Stellaron was inside, Kafka gently put Stelle to the floor as Stelle herself began to become conscious. Stelle looked around and saw Kafka and Silver Wolf as she began to utter her first words.
"Kafka...?" Stelle muttered.
"Great, so you remember me." Kafka said with a bit of delight in her tone with Silver Wolf just scoffing, "Listen: You are in a daze right now. You don't know who you are, why you're here, or what you're going to do next. You think I look familiar, but you're not sure if you should trust me—...None of that matters. All you need to know is that I'm leaving, and you will be left alone on this space station. From now on, you needn't think about your past or doubt yourself. Listen: In the near future, you will encounter all kinds of perils and hardships, but you will also have many wonderful experiences. You'll meet companions who treat you like family, and embark on surreal adventures with them...At the end of your journey, all that perplexes you and troubles you will resolve. This is your future that Elio has foreseen. Do you like it?"
"Where are you going...?" Stelle asked.
"The next stop, to pave the way for the future that is written." Kafka smiled, "It's like weaving brocade — you and I can only add one gold thread each time, but eventually, we will make a gorgeous pattern."
"How long do you think you need?" Silver Wolf said, worried about what the script said about the Astral Express, "According to the script, the Astral Express crew is arriving soon. We should avoid being seen by them."
"I know, Silver Wolf. Just give me another minute." Kafka said, without looking back to Silver Wolf and she knows what the script says, "I must leave now. Listen: someone will find you very soon, just go with them. You won't remember a thing except me."
"Kafka..." Stelle said, trying to reach out to her, but Kafka stood up and Stelle's reach didn't reach Kafka.
"When you have a chance to make a choice, make one that you know you won't regret..." Kafka advised Stelle who was about to go unconscious.
Now that Stelle's unconscious, Kafka and Silver Wolf left.
"Don't read about the data yet, you don't want to bore yourself as soon as we went back." Kafka reminded Silver Wolf with a chuckle, Silver Wolf just grumbled in return.
"Yeah, yeah. I know." Silver Wolf grumbled, can't hold herself back to read the data of the Strike. She really wants to know!
Of all the things that Kira didn't experience in his entire life, it is to fight every goddamn Voidranger in his and his new friends' path. First things first, he and the girls were supposedly at the elevator going to Storage Zone Floor 1 to eat, because that's where the canteen was, and the next thing he knew, the Legion began to infiltrate the space station! All he and his new friends did was fight to survive, and he was now tired once the fighting was finished! But hey, at least they're at their new destination, because some unknown coordinates were sent to March and Dan Heng's phones. Kira doesn't have one yet. Just when will he get one...
Anyways, currently, the boys (I mean 2 girls and 1 boy) are in the Gallery of Shadow, and in front of them is an unconscious Stelle. Why is an unconscious girl here is Kira's repeated question in his mind. Like... why? Kira didn't remember her being here when he was given the tour of the Space Station before.
"Weren't their coordinates sent out from the space station...?" Dan Heng wondered as she and March just looked at the unconscious female in front of them.
"Who cares?" March said as she crossed her arms and looked at Dan Heng, "They're here and alive. Does she look like a mannequin to you?"
Dan Heng ignored March's question to her as she knelt down and put a finger on Stelle's neck and wrist to check her pulse, "...Weak heartbeat and pulse..." Dan Heng then looked back to March, "March, you better do CPR."
March didn't expect Dan Heng to tell her that, which caused her to startle in the end once Dan Heng asked her to do CPR, "Huh?! Hehe...I-I've never done it before!" March sheepishly chuckled as she scratched the back of her head and looked around to see if she can pass the job to someone else. And that someone else is none other than Kira, "Oh, Kira! How about you do it!"
"Wha-Huh?" Kira broke off from the neverending questions in his mind as he looked back to March, "What did you say, March?"
Dan Heng sighed, she was surrounded by an airhead and a boy who was supposedly the sane one. She was about to do CPR on the unconscious girl, but Kira grabbed Dan Heng's shoulders and pulled her away.
"I think CPR is not needed for today, Dan Heng." Kira said as he looked at Stelle, who was stirring awake, "Look, she's awake."
Stelle fixed herself as she put a hand on her head and stood up.
"Are you all right?" March asked once Stelle woke up, "Can you hear me? Do you remember your name?"
Stelle tried her best to remember what happened, but she couldn't. Meeting with Kafka and Silver Wolf, she couldn't remember that, "I... don't remember a thing." Stelle muttered with a shake of her head.
"Aw, this isn't good... Can you try harder?" March asked, trying to make Stelle remember her past since March herself had also forgotten about her past, "I'm sure you can at least remember your name..." Hopefully, she does, because March didn't remember her name. So she named herself March 7th.
Stelle looked back at March and said, "My name is Stelle."
"At least you remembered your name." Kira said as he smiled and put his arms on his hips, "Nice to meet you. My name's Kira Yamato, but call me Kira."
"I'm Dan Heng, and this is March 7th." Dan Heng followed as she pointed to herself and then at March, who closed her eyes and smiled as she put her hand on her chest, "This space station was just attacked by the Antimatter Legion. We came to help with the rescue at the request of Lead Researcher Asta."
"The Antimatter Legion?" Stelle asked, having no idea what they are since she was just born. Luckily, March lent her an answer.
"Goons owned by the Destruction." March told Stelle, "You're lucky that the most dangerous Lord Ravager among them isn't around, just some nasty minions. We'll take those invaders out soon, don't worry. We'll take those invaders out soon, don't worry."
Then Stelle asked another question, "Who's Lead Researcher Asta?"
"Herta-san appointed her to be the acting lead researcher in this space station." Kira explained then he sweatdropped because of the past four days that he is in the space station, "But that girl... she needs to step up. I still can't believe that her own employees don't even know her name."
Having her questions now answered, Stelle decided to ask one last question to the three people in front of her, "Where should I go?"
"Back to the master control zone, Asta and the other researchers have gathered there." Dan Heng answered while crossing her arms.
The March followed suit, "Plus that's where we parked the Astral Express!" March cheered with her arms on her hips and smile, "Don't you worry, we'll protect you from the monsters and clear up this mess."
Stelle then formed another yet confused expression on her face, having no idea what the Astral Express is or rather who these three are.
"Who are you guys?" Stelle asked.
Then it was Kira who answered her, "We are members of the Astral Express crew."
"Well, the Express has some dealings with Madam Herta, so we come to visit the place from time to time." It was March who said that not Dan Heng, "We just so happened to arrive before this...invasion four days ago. Of course as a — ahem — crew of heroes, we're happy to lend a hand."
'Am I even a hero...?' It was Kira who thought of that, having not thought of himself as a hero in his timeline. To his friends yeah but what about the whole world? His world? His timeline?
"The Astral Express?" Stelle asked, which broke off Kira's question in his mind as March answered.
"Yeah, you've never seen it?" March asked, "The Express comes here every once in a while."
"It's a unique train that can travel between the stars with the power of the Trailblazer Aeon." Dan Heng added.
"I'll show you once we're back to the master control zone, Stelle." Kira volunteered.
"You're gonna be the tour guide this time, Kira?" March asked the boy beside her with a raised brow and smirk while Kira just chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
Stelle just looked at the three before her for a moment as she then said her next words, "Let's go then."
"Right, you two and Stelle go back together then." Dan Heng said as she looked at Kira and March then at Stelle, "Arlan from the Security Department lost contact in the vicinity, I need to find him first."
"Oh, all right. You stay safe." March bid to Dan Heng, who nodded at her then at Kira and Stelle as she left to go find Arlan. March turned around at the treasure room to find a weapon that Stelle could use, and lucky for her she found one. A bat.
'A bat? Really?' Stelle mentally asked herself once she saw the bat that March took her eyes on.
'Isn't that just a baseball bat?' Kira asked himself until he saw a familiar USB in the room he is in, 'Oh, Asta put the USB drive here.'
"Hmmm.. Stelle, maybe you should take this." March said as she looked at Stelle, "The Legion are rampaging through the space station like a pack of wolves — this trip won't be a walk in the park. It's better if you have something to protect yourself. Just a suggestion though — you're safe as long as you stick with me and Kira here~!"
Stelle had a bit of hesitation in her eyes, not sure if that baseball bat is good enough to fend herself from those goons until she felt Kira's hand on her shoulder as she looked back to the boy.
"I know it's just a baseball bat, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm sure we'll find you an even better weapon." Kira reassured her with a smile.
Stelle just looked at the boy for a second until she nodded and reached for the bat. Once she did, she gave it a few swings and twirls and she finally accepted the bat as her weapon for now. It may be a bat, but after a few hard swings, the Legion wouldn't know what hurt them!
"This place is full of fancy gadgets — Herta's collection." March informed Stelle about the collection room, "I really don't get why she'd go out of her way to collect them and then leave them here to gather dust..."
The trio then went for the only door that leads them out of the room. Kira opened the door as they went out and strolled through the hallways, but of course, the Antimatter Legion goons is there, expecting them to come through here.
"Ah, it's the Antimatter Legion!" March cried out as soon as she saw the sight of the goons in front which consists of 2 Reavers and 1 Baryon. Then she took out her bow with a determined look on her face, "So these crazy jerks made it all the way here... Watch this!"
Then without a second thought, March pulled the string of her bow to form an ice arrow and released it as it hit the Baryon and became frozen upon impact, then she finished the Baryon with a hard kick, killing it.
One of the Reavers decided to charge at Kira and slash him, but they couldn't do that when a baseball bat hit its face, sending it crashing to the wall and becoming gold dust once it crashed to the wall.
Kira looked at Stelle, who was the one responsible for doing that by twirling the bat around, "Batter up." Stelle simply said as she looked at Kira, "You're welcome."
Kira nodded at Stelle as he looked at the remaining Reaver.
He pulled out his greatsword, now its blade open to reveal the muzzle, and fired a beam at the Reaver, killing it instantly because it was shot through the head.
"You're stronger than you look... Seem to be quite the fighter." March commented at Stelle, not expecting her to fight that well.
Then the next thing they did was walk out of the hallways they soon found themselves at the courtyard, with Stelle eyeing the elevator door.
"There's the elevator. Our key to the master control zone." Kira noted as he looked at Stelle, "Do you know the way, Stelle?"
"Umm, I notice that you're not wearing the space station staff uniform" March noted as she inspected Stelle's clothes with a finger on her chin, and it isn't a uniform for this space station, "Do you really work here?"
"I don't remember." Stelle answered March as she looked back at her.
"So amnesia..." Kira assumed as he tried to connect the dots when they found her back in that room, "You must've been injured."
Now knowing what happened to Stelle, March said, "...Never mind. I won't ask if you don't wanna talk about it."
"It's fine." Stelle said, which March gladly took as she smiled.
"Let's go. I'll take you to the safe zone~"
RF2: Yeah, I'm ending the chapter here. It's already too long. Why? Well, check out this omake.
OMAKE
This is the day before the invasion, and this is the resume of Kira's tour.
"This is Herta's Collection Room!" March 7th said as she, Dan Heng, and Kira are now inside the said room, "This is where Herta kept all of her collections and such. I really don't get why she'd go out of her way to collect them and then leave them here to gather dust... I mean-!"
While March began to rant leaving poor Dan Heng here to listen, Kira just looked at the collection before him ignoring March's rant. There was an item that caught his interest. Or rather items. He went first to the pair of wings hovering in the air.
Kira reached out for it but he soon found himself in an unfamiliar place. Like he was in the medievals but at the same time he isn't because of the wind — A warm and welcoming blow of wind blowing to his face and playing at the end of his hair, and body.
He found himself beside a fountain and he looked around the area to see lots of windmills, pastoral hymns chime, and a huge mountain in the distance. Kira looked around again to meet the faces of people, but what caught his eye was that the people he looked at had different hair colors. Blue, green, blonde, brown, orange, dark blue, silver, and so on.
Wait, is that a floating child!? But he couldn't ask himself that when he looked at his front to see a green female bard waving at him with a smile of familiarity. Wait what?! That bard can see him?!
"Hey, Kira!" the bard greeted. The floating child saw him and waved at him.
"Oh, hey Kira! Come here, you're gonna pay us for dinner right? Because Paimon's not gonna be the one to pay!" the floating child shouted at him.
Before Kira could react, a gust of wind blinded his vision and he now found himself back in the room. Kira looked around to make sure that he is in fact in the room by pinching himself and touching the floor. And thankfully, he is.
"Weird..." Kira uneasily muttered as he fixed himself and looked beside the pair of wings. A fragment of what looks like a sword. A red great sword to be exact. Kira decided not to touch that, not wanting to experience what he did with those wings recently, as he just looked at the sword. Wondering where Herta got them.
Then, the sword began to glow a fiery glow as it blinded Kira's vision as he quickly closed his eyes. He opened them again to see himself in... some location. And what the heck, is he floating?! Well scratch that thought, there are two girls fighting in front of him! And one of them looked like Himeko! Wait... No! It IS Himeko!
"H-Himeko...?" Kira muttered his eyes widening at Himeko bursting out fire and preparing to attack the girl as she raised her already fire-covered great sword.
"Kiana, be brave. Push on." Himeko advised the girl, who was now known as Kiana, "You can still end this story the way you want."
The flames bursting out of Himeko became fierce as it covered herself and Kiana, and also blinded Kira for a bit as he covered his eyes again.
"Live, Kiana." the whispered words of Himeko were heard which prompted Kira to open his eyes as he now saw before him. Kiana on the ground, golden eyes shocked and widened as she just looked at the slouched form of a now drained and damaged Himeko before her, with her sword behind Kiana and ready to break, "That's... my final lesson... for you..."
"Himeko-san!" Kira cried out, trying to go there and help Himeko, but he can't move for some reason.
Kiana used this chance to push her off by releasing a force of aura and then killing Himeko, but before she could do that... Himeko injected something at the nape that made Kiana gasp and scream in pain, also released an attack in the air that made Kira gasp at the sheer power that he is feeling. The platform that Kiana and Himeko are at begins to crumble as Himeko's body fell.
While she is falling, Himeko caught sight of a floating Kira Yamato. She had no time to ask if this Kira Yamato is the same Kira Yamato that she and the rest knew and loved as she began to mentally advise Kira, hopefully, he heard her advice and words.
'Kira... protect Kiana... And guide her... in my stead...'
Kira miraculously heard that as he tried to move and reach for Himeko, but he can't yet again.
"Himeko-san!" Kira cried out, desperately trying to reach out for Himeko once again.
But his desperation stopped once his vision is now covered in flames.
The next thing that Kira knew is that he was tumbling backward and hit a podium, thankfully nothing was there.
"Kira!" March cried out as she and Dan Heng went to the boy and check him out if he has any injuries or whatnot, "Are you alright?"
"I..." Kira muttered and tried to recall what happened... and for some reason, he can't recall, "I don't know."
RF2: Yeah, it's because of this omake that this chapter is 8k+ words. I decided to add the omake because of Hoyoverse's easter eggs in Star Rail. Could this be a potential story starring Kira Yamato again? Eh, not sure, which is why I made Kira say I don't know at the end of this omake, but I might though... In the future I might. It might be a spin-off from Star Rail SEED. Who knows.
Oh no, the Stellaron Hunters got the Strike's data that easily! Eh, I got plans for why they copied the Strike's data. You guys will see what I have in store. As for how Silver Wolf got that easily, remember, she out-hacked or is on par with Screwllum, so it's a reason how she easily copied the Strike's data from that USB drive.
Anywho, what do you guys think? Good? Bad? You guys review! That's it from me! This is RF2 signing off! See you!
