"Ada, do you have any plans for Saturday?"

"I don't think I have any"

"I was thinking, maybe we could go out together this Saturday… you know, like a dat—"

"I'm sorry that's not possible" comes a half-hearted answer from her mouth before he could even finish his sentence.

"huh—why?" he asked, his fingers grazing the his blonde hair.

Come on, why do you have to be so confused about that?

Well, when you out of nowhere started a meaningless conversation with a person, then a minute later ask that person to go out on a date. That's quite bold. Also when she thinks about it.

It's actually kind of creepy.

So isn't there always a possibility of rejection from the beginning? There isn't a rule to accept every -invitation to go on a date.

Here I thought, the boys here would be less a moron than back there.

"I was just thinking, maybe we could get to know each other more. Uh—I would like to get to know you more, you see" he stammered, something that he doesn't usually do.

Poor guy.

"Ada? There you are" Helena appeared, her voice breaking the awkward situation.

"Eh? Krauser? What are you doing here? I'm not interrupting you guys or anything, am I?" She asked with the most innocent face she could make.

"Nope, we just finished talking anyway," Ada replied with a smile, "very well then, Krauser"

With that she left the now speechless guy there, and walked inside the building with Helena.

"That's the second one this week, isn't it?" Helena huffed, "just saying, the frequency is getting higher. You're not trying to reach a 'harem queen of the school' title or anything, aren't you?"

They both chuckled at that.

Helena Harper is an otaku. Ada had known her for more than a month now if she counts from the day she transferred. Somehow around that quite short time, Helena had succeed on planting those Japanese words in Ada's brain. She's optimistic she could handle an otaku phrase trivia by now.

"'Ada Wong the harem queen' sounds pretty cool to me" She said, winking one of her eyes to a freshman who was staring at them, the boy threw his gaze elsewhere and stumbled away.

"Suits you perfectly" Helena commented, the teen realized that Ada is walking a few steps behind.

"Go ahead, I'm going to eat lunch elsewhere" Ada spoke, looking at the brunette apologetically.

"There's no stopping you isn't it?"

Ada replied with a little smile, "It's okay, but thanks for your little help earlier,"- even though he's the one who should be thankful.

"It was nothing" Helena waved her off.

With that they parted ways.

Ever since Leon's video with her aired, the number of boy who fancy her keeps increasing. She never thought the video would be such a big deal, well she never thought that Leon is truly famous. She could only stared with both of her eyes wide open when Helena showed her the number of viewers that truth or dare video had gotten. It surpassed a million.

She remember how itchy her ears was when she heard the boys talked about her.

"The Wong girl is pretty cute isn't she?"

"Man, I thought I was the only one who's aiming for her"

"I'm wondering if she's available"

Then the conversation went on and on, just like the date invitation. At least she could thank Leon for deleting the part when she took out the 'kiss' paper. Again she should thank Leon for never mentioned that event again.

Speak of the devil.

"Afternoon, Miss Wong. I come here to deliver your lunch, may I?" He said with serious tone and completed his sentence with a slight bow.

Ada smiled and took the sandwich that he offered.

"Had I not come with those you'd ended up having nothing for lunch" he grumbled as if that's his problem. Ada looked at the sandwich, and muttered her thanks. Leon sat beside her, eating another sandwich that he brought.

"Helena told me that you'd be here"

That girl, of course she did. But what took Ada by surprise is that Helena knew about this place, she never brought anyone here nor she ever sees anyone around.

After all, this place is the small space in front of the door that led to the roof. That door is locked and the students usually cramping themselves around the cafeteria during the lunch break.

That's why Ada has chosen this place to be her sanctuary, where she could enjoy being alone.

Quite pathetic, isn't it?

"I heard about what happened with Krauser" Leon stated.

"hmm"

"Never thought he's the kind of guy who took rejection well, though"

"Well he should" Ada simply said. Then look at the boy besides her with a bitter smile.

"They really should though. Too bad sometimes they are still just a sore loser, just like Simmons"

Ada recalled what happened.

2 days after the video aired, it was Simmons. He's an upperclassman he's also the first boy in this school that had ask her out on a date. She politely reject the offer and Simmons were fine with it too. Then the lunch break comes and a fight broke in.

The reason was simple, someone teased Simmons about the rejection, even worse the guy were so loud that even she who sat 3 tables away from them could hear. That was when Simmons charged.

That's when she realized that the cafeteria isn't a place for her anymore.

"Leon, let me tell you"

"huh?"

"This is not the first time this kind of thing happened," Ada took a deep breath "in fact this kind of thing happens in every school that I've ever been to."

Leon looked at her, he had stopped eating the sandwich. Ada smiled gently.

She started to explain.

"I transferred school quite often. The reason is because of my dad but other than that is myself. I've never really fit in school, the guys usually are fawning over me and the girls hates me.

All because I'm pretty.

This school is not actually the worse. Back at my junior high, there's this popular boy,- well let's just say that he's quite the star of the school, excelling at academics and also in sport. On February 14th, he told me that he has a crush on me. He said it out loud in front of the whole class, he looked so proud when he could finally let that out.

I reject him.

Why? Because I know that one of my closest friend has a crush on him.

I thought I was doing her a favor, but turns out I was not. The said friend hates me because of it, she accused me of being uptight, and she told me that the boy became different. He's not the kind of boy he used to be.

I broke him.

So she broke me."
