"What's wrong? Done with your food already?" Ada asked, she must have realized that he had been staring. Leon nodded his head in response. She raised her eyebrows, clearly he got her confused. She looks cute with that puzzled expressions. Leon smiled, he grabbed the camera besides him, but before he could even turn it on Ada has already hid her face with her hands.

"Ah, come on, it wouldn't hurt to give some fan service."

Ada stuck out her tongue before getting back to eating. Leon hummed slowly while playing with his camera configurations. He thought about a sneak attack and took her picture while she's eating, but considering that she's a girl, she'd probably punch him or even worse throw his camera if he dare to do such thing.

"It's as good as always, thanks Kennedy." She hand him back the empty lunch box that was filled by chicken and pecan pasta salad a moment ago.

Her words earned a proud smirk on his lips. He doesn't like the lunch menu in the cafeteria, so he had taken the initiative to cook. On the other side, Ada never seem to bother to get herself a lunch, and of course being the gentleman he is, he ended up cooking lunch for her too.

Snap.

His smirks grows even wider when he has successfully took a picture of her.

"Are you one of those boys too? Gee, your presence is unpleasant." She complained, not that he cares. He checked the picture, it turns out great. Ada seems to be interested see the picture as well, she moved to the space besides him and snatched the camera from his hands. A glint of smile appears on her lips.

"Not bad for a stalker."

"You wish you have a stalker this handsome."

"There you go again." She sighed in irritation.

"You doesn't deny that statement, so you agree."

"I admit you're quite handsome, Leon. But that narcissism kind of turns me off."

"Ah- too bad for me then."

"Why? Don't tell me you've fallen for me too~."

"I actually joined the 'Please notice me Ada Wong' group. Don't tell me you don't even know that?"

"Such group exist? Boys truly are getting desperate…"

He gave up thinking of a reply for that one so he laughed instead. Ada let out a small smile. He had grown accustomed to their small meaningless talk and found himself enjoying it. Helena once mocked him for being a masochist because of that.

"Hey Ada, I'm sure it'll pass soon."

Ada raised her eyebrows, Leon quickly captured that moment with his camera.

"You say such confusing thing just to get me look at you. That's low, even for the lowest like you."

"Ouch! Really Ada? Lowest? I demand explanation for that."

"You're obsessed with taking pictures of girls. God knows what you used that pictures for. It's lucky someone hadn't filed a report to the police yet. Lowly pervert!"

"On my defence, that's just my way of admiring the beauty of opposite gender. Trust me I had never and will never use those pictures for perverted reasons. Scouts honour."

"You're not even a scout." She said with a slight hmph, "but Leon, was it really nothing?"

"What?"

"You said a thing about something will pass. Was it just something to attract my attention?" her expressions has gotten serious.

"I meant about your situation right now. You're here to avoid those boys, right? Those boys are having the so called 'Ada Wong fever', they will go back to normal sooner or later."

"I know."

"Great, so I don't have to worry about that anymore."

They looked intensely at each other for a while. Leon noticed that her eyelashes are quite long and her hazel eyes glittered because of the room lights. Beautiful somehow is not an overrated description when it comes to her. It happened just for a few seconds but it felt like an hour has passed. In the end Ada is the one who gave up and averted her gaze awkwardly.

They usually spend the entire lunch period with meaningless light talk, but the act of looking into each other eyes like what they just did is not something that normally turns into an awkward situation for them. He recalled the last sentence he had spoken, then realized that he blurted that words without thinking. But that's the truth.

So she broke me.

Ever since she said that, he easily got worried when it comes to her. Just what did she meant with that? He probably could loosen up a little if he knows.

Is it physically? Or perhaps mentally? What could a single junior high school girl done to Ada Wong? Leon believes that Ada is quite capable of defending herself. After all Ada did mention taking a ju jitsu class, it means she's also tough and capable of defending herself. So probably that girl broke her mentally.

Did she really?

Just what part of her is broken?

Two week has passed since the first time he heard those words. Basically those words are haunting him, it keep repeating itself over in Leon's head. He feel the curiosity creeping inside him. Now is probably the right time to put it back on the table.

"Back then you said that someone broke you, what did you—"

'RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING.'

"Again, thanks for the lunch. See you later !" She stood up and left, her steps was faster than normal. Leon were left speechless. He rolled his eyes irritably. Of course the bell just had to ring at time like this, he silently cursed. Sluggishly he stood up and went to his class as well.

A little rant here: Ada's eye colour actually confuses me, I thought about it for hours, then I decided to go with hazel (since it's a somewhat between brown and green). It's actually more of a filler chapter that I decided to write because I missed their banter. So I hope you can enjoy it!

I also wrote stuff for Kantai Collection, but still not sure whether to post it or not. Anybody here watch the anime / play the game? The anime is pretty good so far. If you like military related / mecha /moe girls in action, I recommend you to watch it.
