Piers slowly drive through the Radames massive front gate. Honking his car a few times when he finally stop the car in front of mansion porch. He let his car window down, taking the beautiful front garden into his view. He remember the first time he went to the Radames mansion he loudly shouted his amazement and said that Carla is so rich.

Back then Carla was so embarrassed that she even said if he ever mention anything about her wealth she'd never want to speak with him again. He smiled at the sudden rush of memory.

"Afternoon sir, planning to take Miss Radames out, aren't you?" the gardener greeted him while tending the bushes besides where Piers car is.

"More or less, how's your day sir?"

"Same old routine, but can't say that I hate it." The man chuckled then he stared at the front door, Piers follow his gaze.

There stood Carla, in a navy blue dress made of thin garments. The dress seems soft and drape over her slender figure delicately. She's talking to one of the mansion helper, he can't hear what is she saying from his distance, but it seems to be house related. When Carla done she approached the car casually.

"You look beautiful as always young lady, have fun with your date." The gardener said winking one of his eyes at Piers.

"No- no we're not"

"It's not a date"

Both of the teens helplessly deny him. The gardener chuckled at their reactions. He mumbled something about young love, which makes both of them got into more awkward situation.

"We're heading out. See you later, sir." Piers said politely as he started the car engine and rushed away shortly afterwards.

Even though both of them look suspicious with their denial, it really is not a date. Carla has made it clear from the moment he blurted out the idea of them changing their study place to somewhere else.

"Fine, but we're going to study. Not a date"

He went along with it, even though one of the reason of changing the study place is because he missed hanging out with her like the old time. But it's not like they were dating back then. He peered at Carla from her reflection in the car front glass. It's been a while since the last time he saw Carla wear her casual dress. She usually wear uniform-like outfit to school, even though it's not necessary to wear such thing when you go to Racoon High. In fact the first word that he ever said to her was related to her unique choice of school outfit.

"It's been a while since the last time I saw you without glasses." He remarked, noting the fact she had ditch off her glasses today.

"Can we please talk about another thing beside the glasses," she curtly said. Piers smiled apologetically as a reply.

Yep, he totally ruined the good atmosphere between them.

"Okay then, let's get going." He said awkwardly as he hit the gas and increase the car speed.

At time like this he often remember what Claire said about his relationship with Carla.

It's stagnating, that was she said.

It is the truth, at least to Piers. He want them to become something more than just a friend. But with Carla busy schedule, it just seems like a really impossible thing. Now studying has become a reason for him to spend time together with her. Deep down Piers feel like he can't take it anymore, those moments where he really want to blurt out and tell Carla that he actually want them to be more than friend is getting more frequent.

That's why today Piers going to end it all.

But one thing that he hadn't yet consider before planning out his moves is what if Carla fell asleep on the passenger seat.

Because now she is peacefully sleeping on the seat beside him.

He really got no idea what's gotten into him because when they're finally arrived at the café, he drove the car into the drive thru instead of parking it. He ordered for both of them, trying not to cause too much ruckus that would wake her up.

A few minutes later they're back on the road. His lips curled into a silly smirk. There's a chance she will be angry at him for this, but whatever. This is his chance. He's going to turn this study in the café agenda into something else.

When he finally park his car, Carla's eyelashes fluttered as she regain herself back from the dreamland. She looked around in confusion.

"Where are we?"

Piers gave her a sheepish smile as a reply.

"ARE YOU KIDNAPPING ME?" She yelled.

"What… How come I am kidnapping you, you did agree to go out. Why do you think I'm kidnapping you?" He sighed.

"When I said okay, I meant okay to take me to the café. Not to the middle of nowhere."

"Come on, it's not that bad. Besides it's not like you have to work today, right? So a little picnic wouldn't hurt, right?"

Carla angrily snatched the drink in Piers hand and stepped out from the car. Piers followed shortly after taking the other drink.

"Actually, that's mine." He said to her as he tried to hand her the drink in his hand. Instead of switching the drink Carla looked at him irritably and gulped down his drink. But despite her irritation it's actually been a while since the last time he saw Carla got mad. He remembered something similar happened with them when they were in junior high.

"Ahahahhhaha," he laughed uncontrollably. Carla started to pinch his arm. "I just never thought that despite your mature appearance you're still the same with you back then."

"Shut up," she said. "Now, may I know why did you take me here?"

Carla inspected her surrounding, nothing stand out. They parked in what looks like a parking lot for people who want to jog in a hill in front of them.

"Don't tell me. You're taking me out for jogging." She said suspiciously.

"Why that face? Are you really into indoor so much that being out and jog will kill you?"

Inspecting her beyond irritated face once more, Piers finally said. "Actually there's something I want to show you here. If you don't mind?"

He waited for her answer, which came out with a really weak nod. Then he patted her shoulder twice as a signal to follow him. They walked along the jogging tracks for around 10 minutes before Piers turned and stepped into the bushes beside him.

"Here. Carla?" He called for her. She hesitated for a seconds before following his tracks. The bushes covered her view for a moment and she could feel branches and leaves tickling her legs and arms. Suddenly a hand softly pulled her forward.

When she's finally out of those bushes a view of the raccoon city came into her view. She realized that they're actually on the back of Arklay Hill, from the side which face forwards to the city. The sun is setting down, making the sky glow with orange lights.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?"

Carla could only nodded in agreement, it's still amaze her that the little city which looks so boring and ordinary could be this beautiful.

"You see. I've thought about this a lot recently. The truth is, I really want this to be something not ordinary. I've thought about taking you to a fancy restaurant or the SeaWorld, I even thought about taking you out of the city. But I realized that those fancy things are probably ordinary for you. So I changed my view."

Carla gave him a look of question, she doesn't get where he is going with those statement.

"When I was young my father took me here. He showed me that even the dull racoon city could be beautiful. Ever since then this place have been my favourite."

Carla averted her view to the boy that's standing beside her, She really wanted to be mad at him, but couldn't.

How could she stay mad if she's actually happy?

She's happy that Piers can take her away from her burdens. She's happy because whenever she's with him, she could feel it, even if it's just barely, she can feel like she's just a teenager.

A teenager who's falling in love.

"Hey Piers-" she softly exhale before continuing. "Could it be that you like me?"

Piers stiffened. He glanced at her before quickly averting his gaze.

"Of course I do, what're you talking about?"

"How mean, you know exactly what am I talking about." She said, blinking away a single tear that somehow made its way out.

Carla lift her right hand to Piers jaw. She almost have to force him to look at her. Tiptoeing a little bit, she let out a little smile.

"At least, let me do this. Just once."

Just like that, Carla close their distance.

The kiss lasted for a few second before both of them break it simultaneously.

"Sorry, I actually want more. After all, I like you-" Piers muttered before this time taking the lead and kissed her. Both of his hands cupping Carla's face.

They probably would never stop if it hadn't for Carla's iphone ringing. Parting their kiss for the countless time of the day, Carla irritably stare at the phone screen.

"Ada, did you remember what I said about not to call me. It's annoying." She almost shouted to her phone.

But Carla was shocked when someone who's totally not Ada is the one in the other side.

"Sorry Radames. This is Leon. It's kind of important. Well, do you know where would Ada go if she ever run away?"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY RUN AWAY!?" Carla asked, now actually shouting on the top of her lungs.

A/N:

I'm not going to reason, I'm just going to say I am really really sorry that this took too long. I hope you can bare with me. I'm sorry.

Well that end in a cliffhanger, I hope i could publish a new chapter soon. Tbh, I keep changing where the story is going and up until now I'm still not sure. This chapter is full of Carla X Piers, and there's a reason for that:

1. The story in Leon and Ada sides is really heavy since the last two chapters and It's going to keep on that heavy tone for a while, I don't like if it's getting too heavy, so I throw this chapter as a lighter.

2. I want to write a Carla X Piers

3. Some people want me to write Carla X Piers

So again I have to apologize if this chapter is not what you came for. Sorry

It's getting lame, but I couldn't stop saying thank you so much for supporting this story. It means a lot to me, thank you :)

As usual please do fav/follow if you haven't and I beg of you to review. I mean it's Carla X Piers, and what the heck is Ada doing, so pls review :)
