I don't own Doctor Who
"Cardiff" Sofia states, "Why are we in Cardiff again?"
"There is a rift in time and space in Cardiff," Rose says as if talking to an imbecile, "When it was healed in the 1800s a scar stayed behind. This scar has energy that the TARDIS needs, and this is like a pit stop."
"A pit stop that lasts two to three days, in Cardiff. And, don't talk to me like I'm an idiot."
"Well," the Doctor comments, "When you ask stupid questions..."
"Still got nothing against cutting your balls..." Sofia warns.
"Shutting up!"
"Good boy"
"Don't talk to me like a dog."
"How about like an elephant?"
"Does Cardiff have any pubs?" Jack breaks them up.
"Let's find out, shall we?" Rose heads towards the door.
"That woman's staring" Sofia states.
"She's probably wondering what four people are doing in a small box." Jack states.
Not much later, the four of them are in a restaurant and Jack is regaling the others with one of his many crazy stories. The Doctor notices the headlines and cover picture of the local newspaper. He holds it up for the others to see.
"And I was having such a nice day." The Doc laments.
"So here's the plan," Jack announces, "We all cover one of the exits and trap the Slitheen."
"Who's in charge here?" the Doctor demands.
"Sorry, Sofia;" Jack jokes.
"OY!" the Doctor complains.
"So what's the plan?"
"Like he said, good plan."
"Weapons ready?"
All four of them whip out a cell phone [1]. They make sure that they are all on speed dial. The time traveling foursome takes up their pre-assigned positions. The Doctor goes and addresses Margret's secretary.
"I'd like to speak to the Mayor." The Doctor declares.
"Do you have an appointment?" the secretary inquires.
"Nope, just an old friend. I thought that I would surprise her."
"I'm afraid that you can't see her."
"Can you tell her that the Doctor is here to see her? Just, the Doctor."
The secretary goes and does that, "The Mayor would like to apologize, but she can't see you. She's buried in paper work."
"She's climbing out the window isn't she?" the Doctor states.
"Yes she is."
"Slitheen heading north." The Doctor says into his cell as he goes after Margret through the window.
"Who's on fourth exit duty?" Rose asks as she, Jack and the Doctor have met up behind Margret.
"Sofia" the Doctor says just as the girl in question makes herself known.
Sophie jumps onto Margret's back and shouts, "I GOT HER!"
"Sophs," Rose quietly groans.
"Get off me!" Margret yells.
"Nah" is Sofia's reply.
In response, Margret rams Sofia into a wall. Sofia releases her grip in pain and falls off of Margret's back.
"Ow" Sofia complains.
"Sophie!" Rose rushes to her sister, "Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not okay," Sofia snarls. "I was just rammed into a wall by a killing people eater alien, in what universe would I be okay?"
"And... You're okay." Rose states.
Sofia sticks her tongue out at her sister.
"Sofia's okay!" Rose calls to the others.
"Dang it!" replies the Doctor.
"Since there shall be no worrying about me, why don't you focus on stopping the Slitheen before she can teleport away, or something?" Sofia hollers.
Margret teleports away.
"Now we can't catch her." Jack laments.
"Oh, the Doctor's very good with teleports." Rose says knowingly.
As she says this, the Doctor presses a button on his sonic-screwdriver and Margret teleports back, only now she's running towards them. Margret turns around and teleports back. This happens a couple of more times before Margret is right in front of the Doctor and panting.
"I can do this all day," he comments.
Margret glares at him.
The five of them head into Margret's office where they see her nuclear power plant plans.
"Oh London doesn't care about Cardiff!" Margret vents, "Oh, I've gone native."
"Bad Wolf!" Sofia reads the title of the plans in shock.
"What?" the Doctor questions.
Sofia points to the banner, "She named the project 'Blad Drug' [2] Welsh for 'Bad Wolf'."
"Bad Wolf!" the Doctor exclaims, "Those words have been following me where ever I go. It's probably nothing, like a word that you hear on the radio and you keep hearing it."
"Anyways," Sophie draws the attention back to the main topic at hand and addresses the Slitheen, "If the nuclear power plant blows, you go up with it."
"That's why she has this!" the Doctor reveals a technical looking board from underneath the plant plans.
"Is that an extrapolator?" Jack asks very excitedly.
"Yep"
"What's an extrapolator?" Rose asks.
"It's like a surf-board," the Doctor explains, "Only the waves it rides are energy waves. It'll create a protective bubble around the person riding it. Margret plans on blowing Earth up and surfing out on this on the shock wave."
"Where did you steal this?" Jack demands.
"I have my hobbies." The Slitheen commented off-handedly.
"This technology is beyond you, must have been a hell of a heist." Jack proclaims.
The Doctor, Jack, Rose and Sofia take Margret back to the TARDIS. Jack and the Doctor work on trying to hook up the extrapolator to the old girl in order to speed up her recharging.
"It's like a real police box now." Rose claims.
"Except you're not police, you're my executioners." Margret informs them, "They have the death penalty on Raxacoricofallapatorius. Years back the family, Slitheen, was tried in absence and found guilty. You'll be bringing me to my death."
"You deserve it" Sofia says coldly.
"You're so quick to judge, can you look me in the eye?" Margret inquires, "Let's see if any of you can look me in the eye."
The Doctor, Rose and Jack all look away from her gaze quickly, but Sofia maintains eye contact.
"You can hold my gaze?" Margret wonders in relation to Sofia.
"I don't see why this should be any harder than staring a man in the eye as I kill him in the Coliseum." Sofia explains in a cold voice, "That, and I've got the strangest feeling that you won't be dying today, if anything just the opposite..."
"What does that mean?"
"Possibly a second chance, possibly a clever lie, possibly hundreds of other things."
Margret breaks the eye contact.
"Doctor," Margret tries to shake off the weird feeling that she got from staring into the teen's eyes. "Might I have a last request?"
"Depends, what is it?" he demands.
"I got so used to being human, all of those funny little rituals, like brushing your teeth, and so on. There is a Chinese place not too far from here that I really like."
"Get to the point" the Doctor says, annoyed.
"I want a last meal. Can you eat with a person that you've condemned? How strong is your stomach, Doctor?" Margret taunts.
"It's strong enough."
"How do you know she won't escape?" Sofia inquires.
"I've got these!" Jack holds up a pair of cuffs, "If she goes more than 10 feet from him, several thousand volts of electricity will shock her dead."
"Margret," the Doctor asks, "would you care to go for dinner?"
Less than an hour later, the earth begins to shake. The Doctor races outside of the restaurant with Margret (Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen) in tow. He sees a light/energy beam coming from the TARDIS. Back inside the TARDIS, Margret removes her skin suit, reveals her plan and grabs Sofia by the neck.
"You, flyboy!" Margret/Blon orders, "Put the extrapolator by my feet."
Jack complies.
"The thing is," the Doctor says, "You're ripping my ship apart, my TARDIS, best ship in the universe."
"It'll make excellent scrap" Margret goads.
The console of the TARDIS opened up in front of Blon and Sophie. Both females find themselves staring into the light.
"It's so beautiful" Margret whispers.
"I can hear her singing so clearly/loudly now." Sofia says, almost too quiet to hear. "She's explaining it to me."
By this time Sofia isn't even aware of the fact that Margret has let her go, let alone the fact that her feet are currently on the floor.
"Thank you, Doctor" Margret utters.
Suddenly, Blon disappears, the TARDIS snaps shut, and Sofia collapses unconscious on to the grading that makes up the floor.
"Sophie!" Rose rushes to her sister's side. "Sophie!"
The Doctor joins Rose and feels Sofia's pulse. "She's alive"
"What about Margret?" Rose asks. "Did you kill her?"
"I think the TARDIS's heart was able to translate her thoughts. What Margret really wanted was a second chance, and that's what she has now." The Doctor picked up an egg.
"She's an egg?" Jack asks in disbelief.
"We'll give her to a better family on Raxacoricofallapatorius," the Doctor decides, "After I've given Sofia a thorough medical check over, and she's woken up."
About an hour later, after several tests the Doctor finds that the only thing that seems to be wrong/out of the ordinary with Sofia is that she happens to be unconscious. According to the TARDIS's predictions, he ought to expect the girl to wake up in about nine hours. In the mean time, the Doctor carried Sofia to her room. In her room, Rose changed her sister into pajamas, and tucked her into bed.
[1] Wherever Jack picked up an early 21st century cell-phone, Sofia did to.
