He was about to say something when a large group of witches and the she-wolf arrived, letting themselves inside. They looked at the girls and I, then back at Nik.
"How did they get in?" One of them asked quickly.
"They had an invitation." I took the liberty of answering. They looked confused, but decided to let it be.
"So what is this new development you had to drag us out here at 5am for?" The one in the middle, whom I assumed was Sophie, asked.
"Well, it seems that I have come across some new information. The hybrid child is not mine. Alas it is the child of one of the hybrids I created. He goes by the name of Tyler Lockwood." Nik told them with a sadistic grin on his face. I watched as the she-wolf's eyes started darting about and she tried to push her way to the back of the pack. She knew she had been caught. She was almost to the gate when I saw someone flash by me.
"You dare think about escaping after you were caught lying?" I saw Caroline dragging the she-wolf by the hair to the front of the pack, her vampire features showing how angry she was. "I, alone, am the only reason why you all are alive at this moment. You see, I am the only one who can mess with Niklaus Mikaelson's head and get away with it. He was well on his way to come here and slaughter you all. I asked him not to. From this moment on you all will be loyal to only the Original family, otherwise I will change my mind about being so kind." Caroline said in a demanding tone. "Anyone have any objections?" She said sweetly.
"Yeah, there is no way in hell I am going to—" A witch had stood from the back and was getting ready to send a curse at Nik, when there was the sound of a neck snapping, and the witch fell to the ground. Caroline looked up from the spot the witch was laying in and I could tell she felt remorse, but she didn't let it show as she stood tall again.
"Anyone else? Didn't think so." She said, back to smiling. I looked at Nik, who had his eyebrows raised and was smirking. "Now you." She said, looking into the she-wolfs eyes. "You will go find Tyler and run. Tell Tyler that Klaus is looking for you both and will stop at nothing to kill you. Enjoy the rest of your life looking over your shoulder." Caroline compelled the wolf, allowing her to repeat it back to make sure it worked. She took one look at Nik and ran.
"Now that you have all pledged your allegiance to my family, I would like to introduce you to the newest members. This is my younger brother Kol, and his lovely wife, Elena Mikaelson. And this is Caroline Mikaelson. Remember their faces and let word be known that they are not to be touched, although I don't think that will be a problem seeing as they can handle themselves. My family will take back New Orleans and I can assure you that if you are loyal to us, no harm will come to you. And send the word to all of your witch friends that as soon as we take back New Orleans, the ban on magic will be lifted." Nik said to them, then motioning for them to leave. As soon as they were gone, I looked at Caroline, who was waiting on an explanation from Nik about her name.
"What? I had to make a point that you were part of the Original family! I couldn't very well say all the Mikaelson's and Miss Forbes, now could I?" Nik said with a smile. "And I must say, love, that your display this morning was one of the most intimidating, and dare I say it, sexy moments I have ever witnessed. I seem to have taught you well." He said smirking at her, leaning in to kiss her passionately.
"I had to make it known that the future queen of New Orleans wasn't just some Mary Sue baby vampire who couldn't hold her own." She said, effectively making everyones mouth drop and eyebrows raise.
"And that, sweetheart, is one of the reasons why I am completely enamored with you. You will make an excellent queen. I do hope that now is not an inappropriate time to tell you that I am completely in love with you." Nik said, pressing his head against Caroline's.
"I have fought it for too long, and I can't deny it anymore. I am completely in love with you as well, Niklaus Mikaelson." Caroline said, looking into his eyes.
"Finally" I whispered.
"Well now that everyone thinks that I am a Mikaelson, I am somehow seeing no reason as to why I shouldn't be? Especially before someone decides to start snooping around and figures out that I'm not." Caroline said, looking at Nik.
"Caroline, love, would you do me the honor of marrying me, say right about now?" Nik asked her.
"Yep. Let's go, I saw a 24 hour chapel on the way here. And don't worry, you will owe me a huge ceremony with a fluffy white dress and everyone that I know." Caroline said mischievously.
"Anything you want, love." Nik told her as he kissed her gently.
"Alright, now lets hurry up, we have a city to take back!" She said, smiling over excitedly and running to the SUV.
"When Caroline puts her mind to something, there's no backing down." Elena whispered in my ear.
I know that Caroline wouldn't kill someone like that, but I put it in to make a point that she will do anything to prove herself worthy, and to show her love and loyalty to Klaus. I also know thats its moving kinda fast between Caroline and Klaus, but I really kinda want to get to the good stuff! Tell me what you think.
