Hey hey hey my Lovelies! I'm back from the dead! It's been quite a while, ne? I'm sorry for the late update... I... just couldn't think of how to put this chapter together. I knew what I would have written.. but... ugh. Writer's block is the worst disease for me. Anyway, in the previous chapter, Tom, Celty, and Shinra went to the amusement park. Shizuo tagged along, but did not know that a certain flea was following him. In the end, Shizuo left because of an incident that happened between him and a little boy. So, this is part two of the chapter... story... yeah. I'm sorry... I'm out of it...

Disclaimer: I've actually been tricking you guys this whole time! I DO own Durarara! Ahahaha! Wait... no- *Police come and tackle the fanfic maker* No... no, it was a joke! I don't own Durarara! HAHA... ha... ow...

Chapter 5: The Big Idea

Izaya walked around the park as he thought of new ways to entertain himself. He skipped around observing people's actions. They walked, talked, and ate like regular boring humans. Izaya was about to leave when a conversation between two girls caught his attention.

"Oh man, what did you do to him?! He seemed so sad to the point where he looked like he had no life!" One girl giggled.

"It was easy! First, I talked to him as if he were my friend! Then I got him to fall in love with me. He got me all kinds of stuff... including a pretty necklace! I just pretended that I liked him so I could get my way. After I got what I wanted out of him, I just threw him away. He looked like a kicked puppy. He was saying things like, "Wow, you're so sweet," and "I love you". How cheesy!" Both girls laughed. Izaya snickered himself. Although some people are disgustingly good, some people are manipulative and crazy. Human emotions were the one thing Izaya was most curious about.

Izaya widened his eyes for a moment, almost as if a light flickered inside of his head. What the girls were talking about... he could use that on Shizuo! Of course, if he were put under other, lighter circumstances, he wouldn't even give a first thought about being Shizuo's lover. Although, if Shizuo was like the boy that the girl talked about, then he would fall in love with Izaya and never bother him again. Izaya felt extremely proud of his idea.

"Now, all I need is the perfect chance to talk to Shizu-chan." Izaya smiled deviously.

"Achoo!" Shizuo sneezed and wiped his nose. Tom looked at Shizuo strangely.

"Aw, come on! Don't tell me you're getting a cold now. Bakas stay healthy, remember?" Tom joked. Shizuo glared at Tom and smiled.

"Ha... that's real funny... comin' from you." Shizuo said. This time, Tom was the one to glare back. "I'm fine. I just got this weird feeling in my gut that something weird is going to happen." Shizuo said. He reached into his pocket and grabbed a cigarette.

Tom looked back at the streets filled with people. "You gonna move out?" Tom asked. Shizuo didn't look at Tom.

"Why the sudden question?" Shizuo asked Tom.

Tom shrugged. "Well, you complain about killin' fleas all of the time, so I just figured you changed your mind about your choice of stay." Shizuo chuckled.

"Tom, I don't even think I have enough money to move to another place. With rent and damage expenses, I'm basically walking on thin ice here." Shizuo said.

"Why don't you just use the money I pay you with?" Tom asked.

"That shit-pay? Like I said, I have enough money to get by. I wish that I could have the luxury of just relaxing outside where it's quiet, and then going back inside to sit on my couch and go to sleep. Like that's going to happen." Shizuo sighed and scratched his head.

"What about your brother's place? Didn't he say that he'd miss you?" Tom asked.

Shizuo practically burst into laughter. "Did you see his face when he said that? He already shows his true colors around me; what others would call emotionless. When he said he would miss me, he looked like he was practicing for a comedy. I know for a fact that he was lying." Shizuo looked down at his shoes. "If I could, I would move out in a heartbeat. Or kill the flea there. I don't have the patience to be in jail, though." Shizuo sighed once more.

"How about my place?" Tom asked. They both looked at each other for a long time.

"PWAHAHAHA!" They both laughed. "Like that'll happen!" Shizuo laughed, calming himself down. Tom looked away, acting as if he was wiping away tears.

"There was some truth to that, though..." Tom mumbled.

"What?" Shizuo asked, still trying to settle down. Tom shook his head.

"Nothing!" Tom smiled.

Izaya skipped to his apartment room, getting ready to surprise Shizuo. He should already be back from work, so there wasn't really a problem. Izaya walked up to Shizuo's room and knocked.

Shizuo opened the door to see Izaya, then immediately closed it. "My, my... it seems like you put a bit of strength to shutting your doors. That sort of hurt." Izaya smiled. He had put his foot between the wall and door just before the door closed.

"What the hell do you want?" Shizuo glared. "It's been a long day; My day was ruined at the park by some little kid. Also, I just got back from work." Shizuo said, calming himself from busting the door down and strangling the crimson-eyed man.

"I just wanted to apologize," Izaya started, "for tricking the little boy into taking those disgusting little things you call cigarettes." Izaya smiled.

"Wait... That was you?!" Shizuo yelled, gritting his teeth.

Izaya could tell that Shizuo was getting ready to knock his face in, so he kept talking. "In my sincere apology, I want to give you this." Izaya held out his hand. In his hand were a pack of cigarettes and a ten dollar bill (about 1,038 yen) while smiling. Shizuo schrunced his nose. The stench of the flea was getting stronger and stronger.

"What's this for...?" Shizuo asked in suspicion.

"Like I said, it's an apology present!" Izaya said, still keeping his hand out. "Take it."

Shizuo snatched the items out of Izaya's hand.

"No thank you?" Izaya asked. Shizuo snorted.

"Sure. Thanks." Shizuo said and waved while closing the door. Izaya put his foot between the door and the wall once more.

"So... where's my present? Izaya asked. Shizuo furrowed his eyebrows.

"What present?" Shizuo asked. Izaya made a weird motion, almost as if he was fanning his face. "And what the hell is that supposed to be?" Shizuo asked Izaya. Izaya 'fanned' his face again.

"It's supposed to be a gesture for a kiss." Shizuo looked at Izaya as if he was the craziest person in the world. "I want one." Izaya did the hand gesture once more.

"You've got to be kidding me." Shizuo chuckled. He almost laughed, even. "You treat me like a beast and you like to be an asshole all of the time for TEN years, and you want a kiss?!" Shizuo laughed this time. "Nice try. G'night."

Shizuo kicked Izaya's foot out of the doorway and started closing the door once more. Izaya quickly grabbed Shizuo's shirt and turned him around. "It looks like I'll have to break the rules of chess for a moment and move first..." Izaya mumbled. He stood on the tip of his toes and kissed Shizuo's lips. Izaya expected a sharp pain in his cheek by now, but nothing was happening. Izaya lowered himself to see Shizuo's face.

Shizuo had a blank stare. His mouth was slightly open, and his eyes looked as if they were about to pop out of his skull. "Shizu-chan~ I wanted you to kiss me back..." Izaya acted like he was disappointed. Really, though, on the inside, he felt like laughing so hard to the point that he could die. "Well then, G'night." Izaya mocked Shizuo's last tone when saying goodnight. He skipped to the next door apartment room since there was no wild reaction out of him.

Izaya immediately went over to the chess pieces. He moved one of the black pawns, indicating the little boy, then left the white pieces alone. "Alright, Shizu-chan, your move." Izaya smiled.

"FUCKING BASTARD! I'M GONNA KILL HIM!" A very familiar voice could be heard. Izaya laughed softly.

"I can't wait to see what you will do." Izaya smirked and closed the door, leaving the pieces to be moved tomorrow.

Hey, hey , hey! So, it's the end of another chapter! I feel bad saying this, but I'm actually BEHIND on the fanfic... ugh. Between school and leg exercises, it's getting difficult. BUT! You guys are all the motivation I need to keep on typing! So, tell me... do you all think that I should make Tom a conflict between Shizuo and Izaya? Leave it in the review page, or better yet, send a PM to tell me what you think! I will be sure to take notice of your thoughts. If it's morning time where you live, well, Good Morning! If it's night time, well, G'night.
