Hey Guys. I know, another review already, but I'm on a roll.

As we had dinner everyone was peppering Dimitri with questions like, "where are you from," "what was the army like" "How many people have you killed." For the last one I smacked Mason on the back of the head and told Dimitri not to answer that.

They all seemed to really like him and accept him which I strongly appreciated because he seems to be really comfortable around them as well. When we finished dinner we all made our way into the living room. Everyone but Jill and Mason had a beer. I noticed that throughout all of dinner Dimitri had only had one.

As we all lounged around in the living room Dimitri asked. "So how long have you guys known each other?"

I laughed. "Close to forever." I shifted in my seat next to him. "Jill and Lissa's dad- Eric- always tried to get them to be friends but instead we wound up being friends. Then Jill met Mason while they were in like elementary school so we started hanging out with Mason and Eddie and then Mia was in high school with me and then she started hanging out with us. I guess she's into younger guys because she started dating Mason not too long after they met, which was like three years ago. She was like nineteen and he was sixteen and we all thought it was weird at first but we got over it. Now they are at a more comfortable age."

Dimitri smiled as Mia snuggled into Mason's side. "How old are you all?"

Mia said, "Twenty-one."

Mason: "Eighteen."

Jill: "Seventeen."

Eddie: "Twenty-two."

Me: "Twenty-one."

Dimitri nodded soaking up all the information.

"How old are you?" Asked Eddie.

"I'm twenty-four." That wasn't too bad of an age. That was actually the perfect age if you asked me.

We messed around some more and Mia was starting to pass the point of buzzed into tipsy.

She stopped the current conversation we had been having and said, "Wait, wait, wait…. Have any of you RSVP'd to Lissa's wedding invitation?"

"Well," I started. "I'm the maid of honor so… yeah I have."

Jill scoffed. "Hell no I haven't. And I sure as hell will not."

Eddie nudged her side. "C'mon I think you should go. She is your sister after all and if worse comes to worst we can make fun of her together."

When Jill looked up at Eddie her eyes shined with admiration. "I'll think about it."

"I for one am going. Maybe the snooty princess will stop her dictatorship for a day and will actually have a nice, fun wedding." Mia smiled. "And Mason is my date." She looked at me and Dimitri and said, "Hey! You should take Dimitri as your date."

I didn't know what to say. Whether to tell her to shut up or ask Dimitri to be my date.

"Yeah," Jill added. "You are practically part of our little family now and you should totally come with us to make fun of Lissa. I promise it will be super fun. Right Rose?"

I laughed. "Okay Lissa can be bad sometimes but she isn't always awful. But you are right it would be totally fun."

Dimitri took a sip of his beer. "Yeah that sounds like it would be great. Hopefully I'm out of your hair by then though."

"Nonsense," I said. "You are welcome here for as long as you'd like. Besides how could I kick you out with your amazing cooking skills?" I turned to my friends. "He's going to cook me something Russian tomorrow."

Mia smiled. "Great. Don't make any plans guys; Dimitri is going to cook us something Russian tomorrow."

"That wasn't an invite." I stood to get everyone another round.

"I'll help you." Dimitri followed me into the kitchen to help me open and carry beers. He stopped at the island and looked at me. "They don't seem to like Lissa very much."

"That's because they despise her."

"How come?" he paused, "If you don't mine me asking."

I shook my head. "Lissa can be difficult at times. Her dad is married to Jill's mom and I think she still holds some resentment in her heart. They never really got along, but they never really hated each other until a couple of years ago Lissa called Jill's mom and 'home-wrecking whore' to Jill's face. Even as her friend I can admit that that was crossing the line big time. Then Lissa just started being really nasty to Jill and Mia by association. She definitely doesn't like it that I'm friends with them, but I don't really care."

Dimitri nodded his head. "I'm really glad I sat with you in that coffee shop at the airport. You are a great person, I can already tell. You are letting me stay in your home, which is beautiful. Your friends are great. I don't know how I deserve all of this."

I smiled. "Dimitri you are a great guy as well. From what I've learned you are sweet and loyal. You deserve this more than anyone. Yu can get rid of the army mentality where you have to overthink everything. You are welcome here, and as they have already said; you are part of our little family now."

He laid his hand over mine. "Thank you. Honestly. I would probably be in that awful motel if it weren't for you."

I heard someone loudly open my front door. I shook my head. "Does anyone ever knock?"

Dimitri laughed. "You should probably start locking your door."

Walking into my living room with the beers I saw Adrian talking angrily on the phone. "How is this my fault?" Someone said something on the other side. "Abe, how could we have possibly seen this coming? This was another stupid mistake, but it wasn't only my fault. We need to find someone fast, before it happens again." He listened. "Yeah, see you tomorrow." He shoved him phone into his packet. He was wearing a grey suit which he had to wear to work. My dad did not allow badly dressed men to work for him. Everyone had to have a suit, and the woman had a choice of wearing professional dresses or suits as well. My dad was no joke when it came to his company. "This has become ridiculous." Adrian ranted. "We made another bad call on who to lend money to and we were screwed over a million dollars. A million dollars! Can you believe that?"

Dimitri's eyebrows shot up. "How did you guys manage that?"

Adrian angrily ran his hands through his hair. "We didn't properly look into their accountings because we don't know what the hell to do with it. We are more about the business, trading type of thing. We should have looked deeper into all of their accounts, but we didn't. We have to hire a financial adviser pronto."

At that moment an idea popped into my head. "Dimitri has a degree in accounting. You should hire him. I'm sure he will be great at looking into potential clients' accounts and what not."

Dimitri shook his head. "No, I don't know if that's such a great idea-"

Adrian interrupted him, "You have a degree in accounting?" Dimitri nodded. "You have an interview tomorrow at eight. Don't be late."

I smiled as Dimitri looked at me kind of stunned.

"Now," Adrian said. "I'm getting a beer, I need to unwind big time."

For the rest of the night everyone was having a good time drinking and talking. Dimitri did not take another sip of his drink after Adrian gave him the interview.

"Rose," Adrian whined. "When are you going to let me take you on a date?"

"You've already taken me on a date. Remember you tried to get me to sleep with you?" When Adrian had first started working for my dad I still lived at home meaning that he was around a lot. He asked me on a date and I had stupidly agreed to it, not realizing how much of a player Adrian was.

"I didn't try to get you to sleep with me." He denied.

"We were in a hotel restaurant and you asked me if I wanted to go upstairs."

"Maybe I did try it, but that was the old me baby. I'm a new man."

I scoffed. "Oh please. How many girls have you slept with in the past month?"

"That is beside the point." He knew it was a hopeless cause, but he still tried anyway.

Eddie laughed. "You need to stop trying to get Rose, it's pretty pathetic."

Adrian rolled his eyes. "You need to stop pretending not to be madly in love with Jill, it's pretty pathetic."

Eddie's face went completely serious and he didn't dare glance at Jill. If he had he would have seen that Jill's pale face had gone completely red.

Mia giggled uncontrollably; the drinks were clearly affecting her. "Alright." Mason said. "I'm going to drive Mia home. I'll see you guys soon."

Eddie looked at Mason as he was helping Mia stand. "Are you coming home tonight?"

Mason assessed Mia once more. "I should probably stay with her. Make sure she wakes up okay."

Adrian got up as well. "Yeah, I'm out too." He turned to Dimitri. "Don't be late."

Jill, Eddie, Dimitri and I were the only ones left and we sat there in silence. I figured Eddie and Jill were still embarrassed from what Adrian had said. Adrian was definitely right too. Eddie was completely head over heels for Jill, and vice versa, they were just too stubborn and shy to admit it.

Eddie turned towards Jill and quietly asked, "Are you ready to go?"

Jill nodded turning red again. They said goodbye and Dimitri and I began to pick up the beer bottles and take them into the kitchen. As soon as we were done picking up and disposing of the bottles we began to clean the kitchen of the mess he had made cooking. We were mostly silent as we cleaned and as soon as we were done he said, "Thank you for telling Adrian that."

"It was nothing," I smiled. "But I'm going to get to bed, and you should too because you have a big day ahead of you. I'll drive you. I'll try to wake up early."

"Thank you," he said again.

I smiled and I followed him up the stairs and we parted ways at the top bidding each other and good night.
