Hi guys. Here is a new chapter of Home At Last.

I woke up early enough the next morning. Dimitri asked me if he should wear his uniform.

"Actually," I tapped my chin, "I think you should wear a suit if you have it."

He bit his lip. "I have one, but it's been in my duffel bag for about a week now and it's old and faded anyway."

"I can help you iron it and I'm sure that it will just look like it is grey or something." I gave him a helpful smile while he looked doubtful and worried.

In his room I was smoothing out a crisp white shirt that looked more wrinkled than my grandmother's face. "You weren't kidding when you said it was wrinkled."

I began to iron it, but it quickly became evident to Dimitri that I had no clue what I doing because he politely took the iron from me and began working on the shirt himself. Meanwhile I looked at the worn out suit and decided it looked more worn than it did old; which would earn him lots of points with my dad. I brushed out the pants and noticed some wrinkles that I was sure Dimitri would get after.

After about twenty minutes the entire suit was ironed and it was time for Dimitri to put it on. I stepped out of the room, but waited impatiently next to the door. When the knob turned I straightened and acted as if I hadn't been waiting on him.

When he walked out of the room I could barely hold in my gasp. If I had thought Dimitri was handsome before… He was godly in the perfect fitting suit.

"I-I. I-It looks great." He had truly left me speechless. "It fits perfectly." I couldn't help but brush my hands down his arms in admiration. I acted as if I was brushing something off the suit, but I was really just feeling up his biceps. They looked even better than usual. I was honestly mesmerized.

"It's a bespoke suit." He laughed nervously. "It's why I haven't gotten a new one."

Wow. A bespoke suit. Not many people had those. My father only had three that I knew of.

"Make sure you mention that to my dad, he will love it." I took my hands off of him and smiled. "This will be great."

We made our way down the stairs before Dimitri turned around and ran back up. I waited patiently confused as to why he turned around. I got a little worried he was chickening out when he didn't return two minutes later.

"Dimitri," I called out.

Soon enough his tall figure was coming towards me again, this time with a file in his hands. "Sorry, I forgot to grab my resume. They made us make them back at base for when we got back home."

I asked Dimitri if he wanted to drive, but he said that he was too nervous to drive at the moment. When we got into the car he turned the air conditioner all the way up.

I laughed. "Why are you so nervous? My dad isn't that bad."

"I don't really know him well enough to know that." He turned to look out the window. "Also I don't want to make a fool of myself because I'm living with his daughter."

"Oh please, what he thinks doesn't matter."

We didn't talk for the rest of the ride to my father's company. I could feel Dimitri's nerves calming as he steeled himself. By the time we got out of the car you wouldn't even be able to tell that he had been nervous in the first place. His face had turned into this emotionless mask that revealed not even the slightest thought. It must've been something that he learned in the army.

We walked into the building and were greeted by the peppy receptionist. She stood to greet us and I saw her very pregnant belly. I smiled as she hobbled around the desk. She shook Dimitri's hand and told him he was early and would have to wait a few minutes. He nodded once and took a seat and few feet away in the lobby.

"He's the one living with you?" Stephanie asked placing her hands on her belly.

"Yeah," I nodded. "How did you know that?"

"Adrian told everyone that your new roommate had an interview today."

"Of course."

"Everyone had a pool going on whether or not he would get hired. Eli is saying that Adrian is far too jealous to let another man live with you and then hire him. I say that Adrian doesn't even really like you like that so I don't see why he wouldn't get hired if he qualifies." He hobbled back to her chair. "I hope I win."

"I hope you win too."

"He is really cute by the way. I wouldn't be able to handle living with him. How do you do it?"

I shook my head. "Barely." With that I took a seat next to Dimitri.

"Oh look who's here." Without even turning my head I knew Adrian was approaching us.

Dimitri and I stood and greeted him. Dimitri and Adrian shook hands firmly.

"Where is my dad?" I asked.

"He's in his office; he is still trying to figure out how to get the money back." I sighed. My father did not like to lose money. Sometimes I thought he was willing to break kneecaps to get his money back.

"This is preposterous!" I heard him bellow from his office. "How is it possible that I don't get any of the money back?"

Adrian rubbed his forehead. "He isn't in a good mood today." He turned to Dimitri. "I don't know how well this will go, but it's always worth a try."

"What exactly is the problem?" Dimitri spoke up.

"We are on the phone with our lawyers and they said that our contracts have holes in them and somehow they got through them. I'm pretty sure we aren't getting that money back, but it was our fault for not looking into their finances and seeing if they would actually be able to pay us back." Adrian smiled. "That's why we need you."

"Financial record are mostly public record, the difficult part is deciphering what money is actually theirs and what money they owe and what money they predict they will get." Dimitri said. "Now, if you add in the contract that all financial records- even ones that are private- must be provided for review before any lending occurs then it is a sure bet that you will never make an unsafe loan."

Adrian raised an eyebrow, looking impressed. "You are hired." He swiftly turned towards my father's office and knocked on the door before entering.

I turned towards Dimitri who let shock show through his mask. "That's wonderful." I said.

"Isn't it your father who should be doing the hiring?" He asked.

"Adrian is his business partner and practically his personal advisor so if Adrian advises him to hire you then he trusts that Adrian has made the right decision." I smiled. "Adrian was really impressed."

"He shouldn't have been; it's basic knowledge really."

"Well, Adrian didn't see it that way, and neither did I."

Dimitri laughed full heartedly. "Thank you so much. If it weren't for you none of this would be happening. I would probably be in a super shabby motel hating my life." He wrapped his arms tightly around me.

Someone cleared their throat not too far way. Dimitri and I pulled apart to the view of my frowning father. "So I hear you have been hired." He stepped towards Dimitri and put his hand out. Dimitri took his hand and firmly shook it. "Welcome to the team."

"Thank you," Dimitri said politely.

"Okay so here is the deal: today we are meeting with a potential client and we clearly need to work up a new contract. Are you willing to stay the day at least until the contract is complete? Our lawyer is on the way to help us with the technicalities."

"Sure, I would love to." Dimitri turned to me.

Before he was able to say anything I said, "I'll pick you up later. I'll be here around five. I hope you guys will be done by then."

I said goodbye to everyone feeling happy for Dimitri.
