Izzy,

I know I haven't written in A LONG time, and I apologize for that. I can't go into much detail, you never know who might intercept this owl, anyways—just know that things are alright. We're back in London, and yes I mean Sirius and I. I know it's a stupid thing to do, given the circumstances and all, but we're of better use in Britain than out at sea.

I don't have much ink, so I'll be quick. We're safe, and well hidden—that's all you really need to know.

Give my best to Remus and Talia.

—Sera

PS: Don't you go blathering about this to Albus (or your parents)! The fewer people involved, the better!

"I can't believe it," said Remus softly as he scanned the weathered piece of parchment.

"I can," said Isabella irritably, "it's just the thing that stupid girl would do! Coming back when she knows that it's not safe—the Ministry will be after her head once they find out that she and Sirius are in this together!"

"I can't help but agree with you, but there must be a reason why they felt the need to come back," Remus tried to reason. "Sirius is reckless, I'll give you that much, but he's not stupid. There has got to be a very heavy reason for him to return, let alone drag your cousin into this."

"I just… I've lost a lot of family, Remus," Isabella said quietly, her eyes welling up with tears, "I wouldn't be able to take it if someday, someone came knocking on my door telling me that Sera was found in a ditch somewhere."

Remus sighed, rising from his seat on an elegant cream colored sofa and walking over to Isabella, who stood in front of a floor-to-ceiling window. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her back against his body. He knew of her worries, he knew of her fears—he could sympathize with her. He had lost family too (not to the degree of Isabella, but close enough), and to lose another—to even lose Talia or Isabella or… he couldn't even imagine what he'd do. He'd take his own life if it meant following his dearest loves into the veil.

"You won't lose her," he said quietly, placing a kiss on the side of her neck and allowing his arms to squeeze her reassuringly. "She'll be alright."

"I hope you're right," Isabella softly murmured, before turning in Remus' arms and saying, "C'mon, my parents are probably wondering what's taking us so long. You know how mum gets during lunch dates."

Remus just grinned, following Isabella through Prince Manor. There would be time to think about Sera and Sirius later, but right now, he had a date with two people who hopefully would become more than just his girlfriend's parents in the near future…

AN: That last paragraph was a hint at something great to come... DO YOU GET IT!?

Remus has plans, BIG plans...
