Description: The animals longing to be freed from the cages in the zoo reminded her of her love for him - and how much she longed to release it.

Gina walked through the zoo with her parents and best friend, Jessica. The two girls marvelled at the different animals, especially the colorful tropical birds.

"Do you girls want something to eat and drink?" Gina's mum asked and both of them nodded eagerly in assent.

"Why don't you go look around the zoo some more while your mother and I get the picnic from the car?" Mr Louren suggested. "We'll meet you at the picnic tables near here."

"Okay." Gina and Jessica said together, before walking off.

They walked toward the primates enclosure, smiling as curious monkeys and chimpanzees ran right up to the bars of the cage and peered at them. One of them, a small chimp, was eating a banana and looking around suspiciously, as if to say, "What? This is my banana!"

As they moved on, there was suddenly a huge commotion ahead of them. Several zookeepers ran past them toward the source. Gina stood on her tiptoes and saw a huge male silverback gorilla repeatedly slamming itself against the bars of its enclosure.

Suddenly she saw one of the zookeepers aiming what appeared to be a gun at the gorilla. "What are they doing?" She screamed, turning to her best friend. "Jess, we have to stop them!"

To her surprise, Jessica shook her head. "It's a tranquilizer gun, Gina. They're trying to knock the gorilla out so they can examine it without putting its life or their own in danger." As she spoke, the zookeeper fired what Gina now knew was not a bullet but a tranquilizer dart straight into the gorilla. The animal stumbled around for a few minutes before collapsing onto the ground, unconscious. The zookeepers cautiously entered the enclosure to begin their examination.

"We'd better go, hadn't we?" Jessica asked Gina. "Your parents will be wondering where we are." Gina nodded mutely as they headed for the picnic tables. She had a lot on her mind from what she had just witnessed.

This is exactly how I feel about Lucas! It's as though my love is constantly fighting !to get free. I'm always wishing I could tell him but the words never seem to come - it's like my mind becomes dormant whenever I get near him...

As they arrived at the picnic tables, Gina made a solemn promise to herself. She would, one day, gather enough courage to tell Lucas Wanson exactly how she felt about him...

AN: Wow, guys, I'm so sorry for not updating but I had to figure out what to write!
