So this is an alternate story/continuation of Strange Magic. I don't exactly have permission to do so, but I did e-mail the author have not gotten a reply back. SO in order to satisfy the author (and critics) I've decided this: IF THE AUTHOR OF STRANGE MAGIC DOES NOT WANT ME TO POST OR CONTINUE TO POST THIS ALTERNATE VERSION OF THEIR STORY PM ME AND I PROMISE TO TAKE IT DOWN. I don't want to be accused of plagiarism, but I also want to get this story out my head. I've messed around some with first 7 chapters that ARE NOT mine just a tinge.
If like it please read, if you don't...well you know where the back button is.
Thank my new amazing new beta 4everAFan! Thanks for your hard work and taking time out of your busy schedule to Beta for me!
~In the land of the Slytherin~
"Milord, I will be leaving with Blaise to his Kingdom" Severus informed the Dark Lord as he handed the snake man his potion. Lucius stood a distance away in the throne chamber, only half listening to Remus Lupin.
Voldemort hummed displeased.
"You know I don't like it when you leave Severus" the Potion Master resisted the urge to shudder in disgust, the tone in his Lord's voice screamed lust. It is not an unheard of thing for Voldemort to grope Severus, or even caress him randomly and then leave him be since he was a mated man. A mated man he craved.
To make matters worse, as of late Voldemort had been getting bolder with his advances.
"I know, but I must." Severus kept eye contact with the Dark Lord while containing the deep feeling of dread that fell over him. The Dark Lord's eyes roved his body as Severus handed him a cup. "He may not support our side directly, but we do a great amount of trade and politics with the Kingdom which supports us indirectly."
The Dark Lord hummed again avoiding the conversation for a moment. "And you are sure this potion will improve my facial features."
"Not that they need improving, My Lord. The potion will permanently alter your facial structure. There will be a mild discomfort and tingling, compared to the usual bone altering pain now that I have modified it." Severus reassured. Voldemort smirked, he could always depend on Severus. The man was ingenious and held a special place in his eyes. He was even above the carnal lust he had felt for Lily, and now her son. Such a shame he was taken, but his mate just so happen to the King of Vampires. He had already murdered the son, it would do him no good to hurt the only person keeping the King sane and there was still the long forgotten rumor of Draco's mother. Still he was curious about how Severus tasted.
Voldemort drank deeply allowing the liquid to soothe him as he continued to muse over past thoughts. He was not the picture of alabaster perfection like Lucius Malfoy or his now late son, but that mattered little. The man was an intellectual, for looks meant little if a brain didn't accompany them. But already having the brains, the Dark Lord yearned for something else. He had to have beauty as well. No man as smart as his could be anything but beautiful, and now, thanks to Snape's work, he could have it.
"Severus, understand the only reason I allow this is because you requested, and for that reason I am willing to comply." Severus then bowed the epitome of grace, but inwardly, behind his occlumeny shields he was panicking.
"I am grateful, Milord"
Voldemort nodded pleased with his servant's response. "I would ask you to stay, but Lupin needs his wolfsbane."
Severus nodded, taking that as his dismissal. Severus left the chamber room, not even looking at Lucius or Lupin as he passed by.
The only thing on his mind was getting as far away from the Dark Lord as possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~*Back at the outskirts of the Elven kingdom*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You ready?"
Harry, Neville, and Draco stood along the border of the Elvin world. It was freezing and clouds in the sky above looked dark and looming, with the threat to snow hanging in the air. Three horses stood on the cold hard ground along with them. Every so often one would snort a puff of cloudy air. Tonight would be a harsh cold, but Harry was sure his shivering wasn't from the freezing temperature. This would be his first time outside of his home. He was nervous for the unknown ahead of him, but excited for all the possibilities ahead...with Draco.
Harry sighed and then nodded his head determined.
He had been having a hard time looking Draco in the eye lately after their...incident. The incident being Harry feeling a thick warm hardness pressed against his body which made him blush and his own body react. Harry still blushed at the thought, and could almost feel Draco against him. Draco seemed to freeze for moment before looking Harry in the eye shocked. That shock formed into a feral teasing smirk and the second Draco loosen his grip Harry ran. That smile seemed to warm Harry's blood.
It was absolutely embarrassing, but made Harry feel good about himself. Draco was attracted to him. Harry couldn't keep the silly grin spreading on his face. Draco was attracted to him. Not his good looks or his royal name, but him. Harry flushed no longer thinking about leaving home. He glanced up toward Draco who was checking the horses with Neville. He must have felt his gaze because the older man looked up locking gazes with the young elf and smirked that very smirk again.
Harry's whole face went red.
A few minutes later they were crossing through the frozen forest. Draco was in the middle, while the elves remained on either side.
"The best place to head to right now, since I'm an assumed dead, and Harry you will be missing is Liberta. It is the Kingdom my best friend, Blaise, rules...and where I should have gone when I first escaped. However, Blaise tends to go off on excursions to get out of the castle. He finds it too stuffy, and with his mother around trying to marry him off, he needs a little fresh air."
Harry's eyes brighten. "Oh! This is your friends whose kingdom is open to all creatures light and dark."
"Yes, when he isn't be a lazy massive waste of space, he can be a great ruler, but his...promiscuous ways can get him in trouble."
"Oh my" Neville mumbled. "He must receive some trouble from his people."
Draco chuckled. "You would think, but Blaise is charismatic. People find it hard to stay mad at him"
"Ah."
"We will need to ride fast. It is only a matter a time before someone notices you've been missing for far too long. Instead of heading through Hogsmeade, we will head to Bora Port. Luckily, for us Diagon Alley is there as well. We will need to get wands and glamour glasses for Harry. People should not be able to recognize you, and we need to make sure we blend in as wizards rather than as creatures."
Harry and Neville nodded in agreement and mounted their horses.
"I hope you guys are ready. This is a seven hour ride with no stops so I hoped you've pissed." Neville and Harry gave the older male an annoyed look before settling in.
Draco grinned before rushing forward. "Hyah!"
Both Elves were not far behind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*Meanwhile*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Severus looked over his luggage ensuring everything he'd need was put away. He wanted to leave as soon as possible, the thought of the Dark Lord trying to make an advance at him shook him to the core. His bond must be weaker than he thought. He had been blocking it for so long that any pain stemmed from it was automatically ignored. Severus picked up a small clicking sound and spun around to be met with last person he wanted to see.
Lucius Malfoy stood proud as ever with a scowl on his lips.
Severus eyes went cold. "Lucius" he greeted "What can I do for you, even though I am clearly busy?"
"What do you think you're doing?" snarled Lucius.
"I am going to look for a wayward Blaise." Severus replied easily.
"Do not presume I am stupid!" Severus gave him a look that made Lucius growl, "I know he is not dead. I would know if he is dead! What have you done with him?"
Severus gave him a blank face that gave away nothing.
"He is my son too"
"You gave away that right" Severus, scowled before mentally adding, 'The silence when you bowed to that maniac was heard clearly.' Though he dared not say it allowed here.
"I had no choice," The blonde said, earning him a sharp glare "I know I made mistakes! Do you think I enjoy this? I had no choice! But this is still my son."
"You sat there and watched as he was tortured and did nothing" The dark haired man hissed. Lucius flinched. "As you have always done. I understand the mark and your father, but do not act as though that is the cause of all your mistakes."
Lucius was about to retort but a quick sharp knock, followed by Narcissa entering the room cut him off.
"Lucius, dear, I was looking for you" The vampire King had little patience to deal with his wife.
"What do you want?" Narcissa's light smile fell for a second before becoming a smirk directed at Severus.
"I just thought you would like...to spend the evening together"
"That obligation became obsolete the moment Draco was born. Now I'll ask you again what do you want, woman?"
Narcissa frowned.
"I am your wife. Can't I just want to see you? Besides the Dark Lord wants to see you?" Narcissa waited innocently not willing to leave her husband with the half blood.
Lucius lips thinned a retort was on the tip of his tongue.
The gesture was followed by another knock, causing to Severus sigh. When did his room become the gathering grounds? With a wave of his hands the door flew open.
"Severus are you ready?" Remus Lupin look shabby as ever in his over-sized cardigan and limp hair. He had earlier made a plea to come with Severus on his trip. The Potion Master had no qualms with bringing him since Lupin was a good friend of his. Dark Lord thought he was spending time with the werewolf to persuade him to his cause.
"Yes" Severus said, ignoring the two glares aimed at him.
"Let me help you" Remus offered. "Don't worry I know your Potions are in here" Remus gave a charming smile that Severus returned. He could feel Lucius burning a hole in the side of his head, which caused him to smirk inwardly.
"Thank you Remus" Severus brushed his fingers against Lupin's and gave him a meaningful look. The glint in his eye told Severus he understood. Severus walked up next to him, then Remus on cue, brushed Severus' hair out of his face and gave him a fond look before walking out.
Lucius was pissed.
~~~~~~~~Back in Greenwood~~~~~~~~~~
"I don't understand why he doesn't like him, Lily. Cedric is perfect!" whined the great King of Greenwood.
"Oh dear, imagine the kingdom finding out their Great King is reduced to whining, over the oh so perfect Cedric"
"He's perfect for Harry!" The king said, ignoring his wife's comment.
Lily continued to brush her hair in the vanity while attempting not to roll her eyes. Her husband could be too stubborn. "Is that so dear?"
"Yes it is!" exclaimed James
"And why exactly is that?" Lily hummed.
"He is the best warrior is army. He's smart AND handsome. He would be a great king and bring birth to many strong hairs. Harry knows him. They've been friends since childhood."
"My, why don't you marry him? You sound like you would be happy." James paused not expecting such a comment from his wife. Thinking he had made his wife jealous, James attempted to backtrack. Lily simply shook her head.
"What?"
Lily did not immediately respond. She finished brushing her hair, before gently placing her silver brush down and standing, turning to her husband.
"Did you ever, even for a minute, think that every reason you just spewed out is the reason Harry doesn't want him?" James gave her a look of confusion "Harry knows Cedric, James. He's known him all his life and in all that time Harry has never made any indication that he cared for Cedric more than just a friend. Because he does not love him"
"He will learn to love him"
"How many more years will it take James?! How long will Harry be in a loveless marriage before he 'learns' as you put it? He is a young elf who has a right like every other young elf in city to fall in love. He should marry for love and in love. Not forced. I was not forced to marry you and Harry should not be forced to marry either even if that means he becomes the single Ruler of Elderwood! Not tucked behind the arms of man who will force Harry to do what you are doing to him."
"And what exactly am I forcing? His safety, his future, his kingdom!"
"To hide! You are forcing Harry to hide. He has never known his people or his kingdom! Never even seen it! What do you expect? For him to quietly go along with your plans"
"Last time we discussed this you were all for him marrying Cedric!"
"If Harry agreed to it and it made him happy! Which it is not!"
"He would be happy if he agreed to it!"
"Happy in a marriage where his husband is obsessed with his looks?"
"He will be loved and safe as will the kingdom!"
"You ignorant buffoon of a man! What are you so scared of?"
"I don't want to lose him" James froze not haven meant to say that.
Lily's anger evaporated instantly. They were getting to the bottom of the situation.
"Oh James, I understand, but you cannot believe that locking him up here would help"
James turned his head away somewhat ashamed "I thought…..I thought that you seem happy even though you're stuck here and I wondered why. And then one night while we were in bed I realized it because we were together. That even though we work each other's nerves we love each other. And being here in the stuck in the castle is….tolerable when your mate. I wanted him to have that."
"So then he would always been here in the castle safe" Lily concluded. Her heart went out for her stupid husband's irrational thinking. "but miserable."
James flinched before leaving. He couldn't stand the conversation. It brought forth more emotions than he could bare to handle at the moment.
Lily sighed. "Silly man….you don't even realize he's already gone."
