Chapter 16 (Watched: Orange is the New Black)
We get in the car and head back home. Moka was eating and eventually fell asleep. When we got home I could sense shit was about to go down.
Rosalie Point of View
After we got back Edward explained what was happening and what we were going to do. Emmett and Bella put Aiden and Moka down for naps while we buffed out the details.
*Flashback*
We walked in and Emmett went to put Moka down since she fell asleep in the car ride home. I went over to Edward after placing a kiss on Moka's head. He explained that there was a fight coming and we had to prepare along with the humans of Forks.
"How do we explain to the people why we are so fast, strong and nearly invincible?" I asked stating the obvious.
" We are going have to tell them we are vampires. I know it is dangerous but we will be fight the Volturi and mutants. They should know. And Frankly I'm tried of hiding." Edward tells us looking into each of our faces.
" I agree with Edward. I think we should. Let's put it to a vote." Carlisle says.
" Me too." Says Esme going with her mate.
" So do we" Says Alice and Jasper nods
Emmett and I were staring at each as if we were having a private conversation. He nods then so do I.
" We also agree." Emmett tells me. Everyone looks at me shock.
" It would nice for Moka to grow up in one place and to have lie to friends she makes." I say honestly.
" Good. Now how should we tell them." Edward asks. Charles rolled up to us while we were thinks of a good way.
" I over heard our decision and their is a town hall we could call everyone into. we could place a few mutants on the inside and out to keep the people from over reacting too severely." He tells us.
" That is great. Thank you. I will call the Mayor and arrange one immediately. I suggest that we just tell them but remind them of all the good we have done and we have been of no harm to anyone. We can tell them about our selves and let them ask question if they please.
There were a series of 'okays' and sharp nods. Then went went on while Carlisle made the arrangements.
I was so nervous about telling people. I was pacing in Emmett and I's room when he came in and sat me in his lap.
"Calm down Rosy. People will have to deal with us being vamps and no one will hurt you or Moka. You two are too important to me." He says to me. Calming me down. I kiss him
"I love you Emmett" I say laying my head on his chest.
" I love you to, Rosy." He tells me. We lay there contently until moka wakes up and I go make her dinner while he go gets her.
It just might be okay.
*End Flashback*
Today was the most dreaded day in history. We were sitting in the front row while the people of Forks piled in the hall. Emmett was holding my hand trying to calm me but it wasn't working. Later on we decide to tell people the truth behind Aiden and Moka so there would be no scepticism about us taking them or what else they might come up with.
" Excuse me everyone please be seated. We would like to start now. As you all know you have been living amongst mutants but also another species you would not even believe." Charles tells them. There were a few murmurs but mostly silence. Carlisle walks up and begins.
" Before I tell you people what my family and I are I would like you to think of all the good we have done and the harm we have caused no one." He says hopefully.
While they were thinking we all walked up one the stage to prepare.
"We are vampires but we hunt animals not humans. Hence the golden eyes. When we transform some of us have extra abilities. It will become clearer later." He says enunciating each word. The humans were to scared to move. I could smell the scent of pee and all of us except Carlisle and Esme started giggling. Some grown , smells like teenage male, boy just pissed himself.
Carlisle's Point of View
" Stop that. Sorry but if it is better to tell you we have super senses. We smell, hear, feel and see 100x times better than human or mutants. We have diamond hard skin, have incredible strength and were extremely fast." I tell them then turns back towards the humans to tell them.
"There is no need for worry we have lived this life for many years and I work in a hospital and perform many surgeries. Any question you many have please feel free to ask after we make proper introductions. We will be going in order of age." I tell them.
My real is Carlisle Cullen. I was bitten at the age of 23 by a rouge vampire in the 1640's. Yes I'm about 356 years old give or take. When I realized what happen I hid in a cellar underneath rotten foods. When I awoke I ran deep into the forest. I didn't want to harm any human. I stayed there for years not feeding because that meant a human had to did. I tried suicide but these bodies are rock solid and we don't need to blink or breathe to keep moving. I swam the English channel and stayed in a forest. One day a herd of deer ran pass me me I reacted kelling many of them. After I realized I could survive on animal blood I started studying medicine to help. To this day I have never feed from a human. Your blood doesn't even bother me. I'm immortal might as well do some good." I say going to sit down. The humans seemed a bit at ease with his background.
Next was Edward. He talks a step forward with a few gasps. People though Esme would be next.
Edward's Point of View
" My real name is Edward Mason. I was born in 1901. I'm 113 years old. I was dying of the Spanish Influenza at 17 years old. My father had passed and my mother was close to the with me not far behind her. She used the last of her strength to tell Carlisle to do everything in his power to save me. He took me to his place and bit me. During that time there were so many sick people they didn't notice I was gone. Turning is burning for three day and the closer to the you get the hotter you burn. We I awoke I discovered I could read minds. I can't control what I hear and I hear everything within 5 miles of myself. You can ask me question but yes I can, have and will hear you thoughts. I can't control it. It's like standing behind some in a room while they talk. Unlike Carlisle I have fed on humans for a short tome of my rebellion. Because of my mind reading I only took the lives of criminals and low lives. after some time I went back to Carlisle and begged him to let me back in the coven. He graciously did. I have been feeding on animals since." I walked to my seat hearing thought of disapproval.
Next was Esme. I hope she would be okay.
Esme's Point of View
I was scared of what people would think. I walked up to the mike when a wave of calm wash over me. I whisper a 'Thank you' to Jasper.
" My real name is Esme Platt. I was born in 1895. I'm 119 but physically 26. I died after baby died of lung problems. They presumed me dead and Carlisle heard my heartbeat and bit me. He and I are mates. That is about it." I got sit down by Carlisle.
I couldn't tell stranger that I attempted suicide and my husband beat me. They didn't need to know that.
Rosalie's Point of View
I was next and I felt sick.
" My real name is Rosalie Hale and i'm 18 born in 1915. I'm 99 years olds. That is all you humans are getting out of me about my past." I walk to my seat. I wasn't telling them anything.
Emmett's Point of View
I knew my Rosy didn't want to tell them that she got beat up and they left her to die on the street. Frankly I didn't want them to know either.
" Hi little human, I'm Emmett McCarthy. I was out hunting and got mauled by a bear. That was not fun. My Rosy over there carried me to Carlisle changed me and I have been hunting bears to get revenge plus they are fun to fight. I am stronger than the average" I say laughing. I could practically smell the fear. As an added measure I used my vampiric speed to go to my seat. This was fun.
Alice's Point of View
I knew mine would be short so I pranced up to the mike.
"Ummm... My real name is Mary Alice Brandon but I hate my first name do Alice. I don't know how old I am or when I was born because I can see the future based on a person's decision. I could use it when I was human and my parents put me in a mental institution. Back then anything was allowed so i have no idea what happened." I say smiling as I walked off the stage. Last was Jasper and I knew he was scared.
Jasper's Point of View
I knew that I was going scare most if not all of them so I thought why not have a little fun with it. I let my southern accent so I wouldn't have to hide it any more.
" My real name is Jasper Whitlock. I was born in 1842. I joined the civil war at 17 . I lied about my age and at 19 I became the youngest Major in history. We were responsible for clearing out a small town when I came cross three women and one, Maria, took it upon her to bit me because I was extremely charismatic as a human and once turned I found out that I could feel and manipulate emotions. Like Edward I can't stop feeling the people's feeling around but with Maria that was ideal. You see in the south vampires are ruthless and hunt humans and fight for territory to hunt in and she wanted all of it. I was her best fighter. She trained us to be cold and heartless. That humans and nothing but food. She would usually kill us after a year because as newborns we are stronger because our own blood running in us. She kept me alive to train me to be her slave. I earned the name of Satan of the South. I am the most feared thing in thr world. I was told to kill armies of newborns and did. I did it single handedly. I made one friend years later who found his mate who I was suppose to kill and he begged me not to so I let them go. Maria was pissed. She put me in a hole and dumped fresh blood on me and let 20 new turned vampires on me. I killed them all but the only thing that can scar a vampire is our bites and received many. Later on my friend came back and we all left together and a few years later I found Alice and we joined the Cullens.
I went to sit down and felt the fear. Carlisle walked back up to the stage.
" Any questions?' He asked.
Bella's Point of View
" There were many questions like 'What is a newborn' , 'How do you turn into one' , 'What color are the human drinkers eye' , one asked
"Why are you telling us this now?" they said.
" I got this Carlisle." I get up and tell him.
" The is the ruler of vampires and they banded with Magneto who is set on killing and humans because to him you guys are nothing to him so they are coming to kill this town as a beginning and we would like you guys to come to the institute for training because we won't be able to protect everyone at once. We will be fighting the more dangerous ones and vampires." I pause to let it sink in.
" Come by starting at 7am and when the fight comes all children under 16 and the elderly will be placed in the bunker so no enemy can get to them. The fight will come and you will be targeted. It will your choice to be prepared." I walk off and people begin to file out quickly and give the Cullens a wide birth because now they know.
"They are the same from yesterday but now more sociable. Don't act differently. Carlisle still is the best doctor here and Esme is still sweet and the other are still the same." I tell them and we head home. I really hope these people don't let fear make their chose to live or die.
