Sakura's POV:
"Waah! Look at Hinata!" Tenten whispered in my ear as she pointed at the 'couple' walking directly in front of us. I nodded with a grin. "Yeah, yeah! She's blushing so hard!" I squealed back excitedly.
The plan on giving those two some quality time by themselves is going great! Just as I thought! Although in the beginning, even though he allowed it, Neji wanted to supervise them if ever there comes a moment when 'the dumb blonde with the girly hair' would think inappropriately of his 'dear older cousin.' Geez. . . . Talk about older sibling-like cousin complex. And anyway, how can a person know what another person is thinking? I really do respect that protective cousin part of him, but sometimes in moments like these where Hinata's love is at stake, it's getting pretty annoying.
"Ah! Look! Look!" All of us looked at where Temari was pointing and we saw three guys standing in front of the 'couple' with smirks. It looks like they're trying to pick up Hinata. My fists clenched and was ready to walk forward and give those guys a little punching but then an idea hit me. With sparkling eyes, I turned around to the others and immediately noticed their glares. "Hey," I called softly. They all looked at me, their eyes pretty much spelled 'death' to anyone who was unlucky enough to recieve them but thankfully it wasn't directed at me (I sighed from relief and a bit at my idiocy when I realized this a little later), and I told them my idea.
Sure! It was cheezy, cliche, and a little old style-ish, but might boost up the 'couple's' atmosphere. My plan was to wait. Just to see if Deidara would react to the leering guys' act. Then if Deidara gets to beat them up and save Hinata, they might get a little more comfortable with each other, then possibly in the future, Hinata wouldn't have unrequited feelings anymore. At least, I think. . .
We watched a few meters away, trying not to look like stalkers while keeping our attention on the couple and the three leering men. Deidara pushed one of them away when the stranger tried to take a step nearer his companion causing the three men to glare and sneer at him. He glared back, bravely taking a step in front of Hinata in an act of protection. And behind him, we can see Hinata's ears redden giving us the idea that Hinata was blushing.
Tenten and I squealed with delight when an attempt to forcefully take Hinata away was intercepted by a punch from a protective and pissed Deidara. They all watched as a fight started between the four guys, onlookers beginning to increase in number though none tried to stop the fight.
Deidara sent punches and kicks that always hit while he himself gets hit by unpredicted punches in the face and a few kicks in his sides. But before it could get any more dangerously violent and damaging, security guards and a few higher staff came into the scene to stop them. Although even before they got there, the three thugs escaped but not without a few hollow threats thrown to the blonde haired teen.
Bruised with a cut lip, Deidara turned to Hinata whose face prabably contorted to worry when she saw the damage done to him by those three thugs. She took a step and brought a handkerchief over to his lips. Deidara blushed at the sudden act, but Hinata didn't waver and kept on padding the little amount of blood that oozed out of the cut on his lips.
"Seems like they'll be fine," Itachi commented. We, excluding Neji, nodded in agreement. As we watched the couple get all embarrassed because of Hinata's actions, a few authorized personnel neared them and spoke with the two. 'Maybe to ask what happened,' I thought.
Then someone hit my head abruptly causing me to glare at said someone. "Tenten! Why'd you hit me?" I demanded. She just clucked her tongue before replying, "If you're going to be worried about him, why'd you even think of this idea in the first place?" I sighed, getting her point.
"Oi. Let's just get out of here. It's tiring to watch those two and we were supposed to have a fun time here! Not stalking a future couple," Kiba complained with crossed arms. I smiled. "Sure. Those two can handle themselves anyway. I think," I said. But immediately, Neji disagreed.
"No way! Hinata nee-sama should not be with that dumb blonde with the girly hair! Sh-" I interrupted him by covering his mouth and Kiba took this moment to take hold of Neji's sides and carry him while said young boy struggled in Kiba's hold. "Kiba, let's go!" Tenten said taking her brother's hand and running away. Instantly, we followed after her. We knew what would happen if ever Neji disagreed about leaving his older cousin, and we really wouldn't want to disrupt the 'future' couple's good atmosphere with his childish possessiveness now, would we?
So we ran around, stopping in front of a booth where cupped corn and other sweets are sold. I felt Sai tug at my sleeve and I looked down at him with a skeptical look. He was pointing at the booth with an excited smile and I got the message. I picked him up and turned to the others, not expecting the scene that I am now currently witnessing.
Neji was biting off Kiba's hands and at the same time scratching and glaring at the others while the older, male teen tried to get the younger boy to stop biting him. It was kind of comical and irritating to watch at the same time. And I noticed that a few stares were coming our way so I opted on stopping them.
"Guys!" They all turned to me. I grinned and proposed, "Let's eat some cupped corn shall we? My treat today!" A pause. They stared for a while. And a few minutes longer.
I sweatdropped. "Okay, if you don't wanna eat anything, then it's fine. Just don't expect another opportunity like this the next time we get to hang out. You know I'm not this generous," I said with a little pout.
And just as I was about to tell the vendor to give me two cups of cupped corn with butter, Tenten, Lee, and Kiba were at my side ordering everything they wanted catching me by surprise. And what made me more surprised was that they bought a whole bunch of sweets that I'm sure they wouldn't be able to finish in one day! And they acted fast!
I stopped them only to see the vendor's eyes shining with respect and mishief while the other three just stared at me with expectant and teasing eyes. And with a vein on my forehead showing, I paid for the cupped corn and sweets.
I sighed as I stared at my wallet in disdain. It was almost empty. If I didn't scold them for ordering too much, I wouldn't have been able to save even a little bit of my money. And I only bought for five people. Three of which had much more than what Sai and I had.
I sighed again. I regret even asking to buy them anything. My head slumped as I slowly ate my cupped corn. "Sakura nee-chan, Skura nee-chan," I heard Sai call my name. I looked down at him holding his plastic cup of corn, looking up at me with concern.
I smiled. I really am an idiot. And emotional.
Sheesh . . . You just found out now? I frowned. I recognized that voice.
And I wonder how you got inside my head again?
Hahaha! I just came back when you realized you're an idiot. Seriously. If I were the outer Sakura, I'd be so~ cooler and smarter than you.
Oh? What's the product of 39 and 67, then?
My inner flinched in surprise before she glared at me. I knew what she was thinking. We're in the same mind after all.
Don't you dare mock me, Sakura. You know I'm smart and can answer that easily.
Outwardly, I raised a brow, not noticing little Sai's puzzled look.
Then answer it right now. I'll be counting up to 5. And you don't get to use your fingers to count.
She knew I was teasing her, but she was still going to answer. I couldn't help but smile outwardly, still not noticing little Sai's growing puzzled look.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Fi-
2, 613.
She was still glaring but I knew she was just as amused as I am.
We are the same after all.
And I suddenly chuckled, my day brightening. In a way, I missed her. But I hope she doesn't make a mess inside my head and stay quiet forever.
I know what you're thinking, dear Outer Sakura. You'll have to worry then. 'Cause starting today, I'll be making a mess of everything inside your head.
Then I sighed. Knew it but won't have it any other way. I think I'll have to go demonic Sakura again if ever this inner voice in me gets a little too much irritating.
I shrugged my shoulders thinking, 'Well, I'll leave her for today. The only worst thing she can do is just comment on everything I do anyways.' I chuckled when I imagined her glowering. Using my image, she looks like an idiot.
I stopped. Wait. Does that mean I look that way when I glower at somebody? This time, instead of being just a little irritated, I blushed out of embarassment and looked down at my unfinished corn.
"Sakura nee-chan!" I was back to reality when I heard three voices call at the same time. I looked down at Sai and saw his concerned expression. I swetadropped remembering that if I let my guard down, my expressions would show those from my talks with inner. This will really be annoying. But then, I remembered I heard three voices call to me. So, there were two others besides Sai. And considering that only my brothers call me that way . . . . .
I turned around with ample time to dodge the incoming twin duo. They bumped into Neji who was just right in front of me and glomped on him instead, earning an amused chuckled from me. The others noticed and laughed when they saw Neji's really irritated expression. And I was laughing with them.
"Sakura nee-chan! Sakura nee-chan!" We all laughed harder and Neji's expression turned into an embarassed one as he blushed a deep red. "Sakura nee-chan! We wer-" Naruto paused when he looked up only to see Neji's embarassed face glaring down at him. Naruto and Sasuke paled.
"Naru-chan. Sasu-chan. I'm over here," I called. They looked in my direction and paled a little bit more. I tilted my head a little to the side, confused. I thought they'd be a little brighter when seeing me.
"Are you two alrig-" I was interrupted when the two suddenly let go of Neji and jumped at me in such speed they looked like a blur until they right by my side and clutching at my pant legs. "What's wrong, Naru-chan, Sasu-chan?" I asked comfortingly.
But they didn't answer and instead, took both of my hands, pulled, and ran their fastest, leaving the others behind and Sai. Confusion growing more and more, I asked them again what was wrong. And a high pitched squeal was the only answer I needed.
"Look! There's Naruto-kun and Sasuke-kun! Let's go! KYAAAA!"
"Wait for us, Naruto-kun!"
"SASUKE-KUN! WE LOVE YOU!"
I breathed a tired sigh. I wonder why there are even this many fangirls in this amusement park today? Is it a coincidence or . . . . . And why do I feel like there're going to be more surprises today?
'I hope they're not that bad, though,' I thought.
Ah, but you know? When you always try to hope that those surprises are not that bad, they usually turn out to be THAT bad. KYAHAHAHAHA! I'll be watching by the sidelines as you endure the worst surprises!
Leave me alone, Inner. You know, I don't need your comments right now.
Oh, you'll always need me, love. I am your counter part for a reason.
Strangely calm in this situation, I rolled my eyes. Naruto and Sasuke pulled me to a stop when we reached the cafe kaa-san said she'd be staying in. We tried to find her there and it didn't take long because . . . . .
She was attracting a lot of attention. Be it the waiters' or the customers'. 'Maybe they're attracted by the mature aura she's giving off,' I decided. I was pulled towards kaa-san and she looked at us when we were right before her.
She smiled her motherly smile, either not noticing the widened stares and awed reactions or choosing to ignore it, and asked, "What's wrong? Wanna go home?" I looked down at my brothers and saw them nodding their heads furiously. I raised a brow.
"But we're not here that long. We can't go home just like that. And Sai and I still have more tickets to use. Why don't you just join our group?" I argued lightly. Still, they shook their heads.
I heard kaa-san sigh and mutter about 'wasted money' and 'wasted tickets' and other things. I sweatdropped. There goes her motherly instincts to not waste any money, talking. But then, we all heard squealing. And it was considerably louder this time. Because the girls were close.
I looked back and saw their heart- and awe-filled eyes as they came at us in a huge mob. Okay, this is really too much. I don't remember them being that huge in number. How'd they grow more fangirls?
I stepped in front of my brothers and glowered at the girls, which they immediately noticed, and they cowered in fear. "Are you trying to disturb my brothers?" I asked with a foreboding tone.
They didn't answer, instead, they just shivered from my cold tone of voice. "Well, are you?" I asked again. But this time, they didn't answer because someone answered for them.
"Haruno-san, do you think that using your cold voice would get these cute little girls to answer your question?"
And I knew who it is immediately. I looked to my left. The customers, the on-lookers, the fangirls, kaa-san and brothers also looked in the direction from which the voice came from.
