2. Water
Water is the ocean waves that recede in the light of the moon but spread far under the sun, that rage and batter themselves against the Cliffside or lap at one's feet in the sand. Water is the lifeblood in the veins of every living creature and the earth and sky as well, that boils in anger and chills in fear. Water is the snake that slips through the cracks but also the droplet that falls from the stalactites on the cave roofs onto one's nose. Water is the free spirit that's always trapped in a glass and always chained.
