Gwain paced in front of Gaius' chambers as he worked on Melanie.

"Gwain," Arthur said. "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault Sire." He assured. "All I hope for is that she's alright." He sat on the stairs and waited for someone to tell him she was okay.

Finally, Merlin emerged from the chambers and sat besides Gwain.

"She'll be fine." He said.

"Thank the gods." Gwain relaxed. "Can I see her?"

"Of course. She's just woken and she's asking for you." Gwain waisted no time. He rushed into the building and sat beside Melanie.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, his hand hovering over her side which she was cut.

"I'm in pain, but I was just slashed by a sword." Gwain laughed and grabbed her hand.

"I suppose Sir Owen was right." She said after a moment. "A battlefield is no place for a woman."

"Nonsense!" Arthur objected. "You are an amazing warrior and anyone who says otherwise is mad."

"She should be fine to train in two weeks time." Gaius said. "But no earlier. If that wound reopens it could be much worse."

"I understand." Melanie nodded.

"Now, both of you out." Gaius ordered. "Melanie needs her rest." Gwain kissed her hand and left behind Arthur.

"Gaius," Melanie said. "I must tell them."

"And how will you explain?" He asked.

"Would you rather them die?"

"As much as I wish this could be avoided, every vision always comes to pass."

"Not mine. Mine I have been able to avoid."

"This fate has been for seen by the Great Dragon himself. And he has never once been wrong."

"Everything he sees comes to pass. Mine I can avoid. What could this mean?"

"I don't know, but their fate is set in stone." Melanie hung her head in defeat and a tear slipped down her cheek. But no more. She knew what she had to do. She had to stop Gwain and Arthur from going. Or anyone else for that matter. It was a battle that could not be won. She needed to prevent the battle from happening.

She would have to go alone. And kill Morgana herself.
