"Blooded Black Roses"

A Twilight/Charmed Slash Story

Chapter Four

Written By: Tala-Paige

By the time Grandpa and I made it to Seattle to have lunch with Wyatt and J.J. we were almost an hour late. As we pulled up to the diner I could see Wyatt pacing back-and-forth with J.J. shaking her head and chuckling at him. Wyatt had his back towards the door when Grandpa and I walked in, the bell above the door letting out a chime. It was then that I heard Wyatt ranting to J.J. as she went about working around him, "Why are they late, J.J? Chris is never late! He hates it whenever anyone is late! Whenever I'm ever late for something he ends up hitting me, so does this mean that I can hit him this time?"

I know J.J. noticed us because she winked at me and chuckled. Then she sneakily tapped her head without Wyatt noticing. I knew that meant she wanted me to read her mind so I did just that, "He has been pacing and ranting since ten minutes after one. You know what you should do? Jump him! Oh, do not give me that look Christopher. I am completely serious, do it, jump on him!"

All I could do was stare at J.J. Then she shook her head towards Wyatt as if to say 'do it, do it now!' So what did I do? I jumped onto Wyatt's back. What did he do? The only thing a Halliwell would do…he flipped me around and pinned me to the ground...then he blinked, "Chris…Chris!" He then jumped up, pulling me along with himself and yanked me into a hug, "I've missed you so much! How have you been? How do you like it here? Have you met anyone? Where have you been? Why are you late? I thought a Demon had gotten you! Why didn't you call me? Are you-"

"Wyatt, shut up!" J.J. and I yelled at the exact same time.

Wyatt then got the expression of a kicked puppy as he slunk into the booth seat, "Why are you two so mean to me?"

"I'm your girlfriend." J.J. said at the same time I stated, "I'm your brother."

Grandpa and I then proceeded to slide in across from Wyatt as J.J. shouted that she was going on her lunch break and sat down next to Wyatt, "Well, Wyatt to answer all of your questions: I have missed you too even though I saw you just four days ago. I have been okay. I haven't even been here a full day but so far it isn't too bad. I've met a couple of people, mostly the guys at La Push Reservation; Grandpa introduced me to Billy and Jacob, who then introduced me to some others. At this point, I have been here, La Push Reservation, the art shop in Forks…oh and the bus stop and Grandpa's house if you want to know every single exact location. I am late because Grandpa forgot and then there was traffic. Like a Demon could get me without you feeling it. I did try to call you but it went straight to your voicemail. And to answer your incomplete question, yes I am okay, how are you?"

As I finished Wyatt pulled his cell from his back pocket only to find that it would not do anything, "Wyatt did you forget to put your cell phone on the charger again?"

"Well I guess so J.J., I could have sworn that I did. Maybe it was my iPod that I did."

"Because your iPod is what is important. Not the device that people, like me your brother, use to get a hold of you with."

"Sarcasm is the lowest form of humor, Christopher the Comedian."

"But it is still humor non-the-less, Mr. Coffee-holic."

"I only had three cups today."

J.J. then burst into laughter, "Yeah and all of those three cups were all in the last hour and they had an extra shot of espresso."

"Shh…he did not need to know that part."

"Oops…too late now, he knows, the world is going to end now and I haven't anything packed."

Now it was Grandpa and me that were laughing; one with too much coffee and the other one with not enough. So I stated as much, "Aren't you two a match made in heaven. Wyatt is on way too much coffee and it seems like J.J., you could use a little bit."

"Oh shut up mister, you are still in high school and you have it easy. When you get to college, live on your own and have a job or two then you can come and complain to me."

love J.J. like a sister, I really do, but when she is tired and working with no caffeine she can be a real bitch. I also sometimes forget that because of her origins her anger can start to come out and seems like it takes over her. Wyatt, however, must have noticed my discomfort, "Bad J.J.! Not cool; Chris did not mean anything bad by that and you damn well know it." He amazes me at times with how fast he can go from goofy-Wyatt to protective-Wyatt and I love him even more for it.

J.J. looked down at her lap while she picked at her flaking nail polish, "I'm sorry Chris, I am just really tired and I'm stuck having to pick up a shift at the hospital since Tabby has not seemed to want to show up for anything lately."

"It's okay J.J. I know that you did not mean anything by it. What happened to Tabby I thought you said she was the most serious work oriented person you had ever met? Isn't that who you were complaining to me about last month. The one that 'had a stick shoved up their butt' and 'needed to learn going out one night would not prevent her from passing her classes'."

"No, it really is not okay for me to take my frustrations out on you, but thanks anyway. And no one knows where she is, she hasn't shown up for class or work at the hospital. However, her parents refuse to file a missing person report because they said she did this in high school and showed up a week later with her boyfriend. It just does not seem like her to me and it is not just her. Others have been disappearing from around here. Hasn't someone from one of your classes gone missing too, Wyatt?"

"Yeah, Riley did."

"Well as interesting as all of this is Chris and I came here for a lunch so why don't we order something."

"Grandpa is right, let's eat." I said out loud and then telepathically sent Wyatt a message, "I need to talk to you about something important later."

Wyatt schooled his expression like a pro and did nothing to let on that we were having our own silent conversation, "How important is this important?"

I replied with, "I ran into some interesting people in Forks today that I need to talk to you about. All of the missing people around here is causing me some concern too. But this will still be there tonight so don't worry if you cannot come until later on. I just want to bounce some ideas around. No need to cause a wild goose hunt over nothing."

This time, he sent waves of concern at me, "Just don't do anything on your own. I do not want you hurt because it turns out to be something serious."

"I am not stupid Wyatt, I will not do that."

"You mean you won't do that again."

"Fine I will not do that again. I promise to not go looking for answers without you. Besides I need to make potions anyway, I will do that while I wait for you."

"Do you need any help with that? I could tell J.J. that I am helping you mix potions and be over a lot quicker."

"Why don't you just tell her?"

"I don't want to add to her stress. Like you said it could be nothing. If it does turn into something then I will gladly fill her in."

"If you say so, I just don't want her finding out and getting angry…again. Don't you remember last time?"

Remember…I still have nightmares about it. So, potions at about nine tonight that should give me time to finish up a couple of assignments and have dinner with J.J. I will just orb over after so I do not have to worry about driving."

"Sounds good; you know it never ceases to amaze me that you cannot cook or bake anything without causing some kind of damage. However, somehow you can rival mom when it comes to making potions. How the hell do you manage this?"

"I have no idea; potion making has always seemed so much easier. We all have our strengths and weakness, though. That is why we most always stick together."

"Okay, I hear you, Arthur."

"Damn straight you better hear me, Merlin."

At this point, I am pretty positive that J.J. and Grandpa have pieced together that Wyatt and I are having a conversation that only we can hear. When we stay quiet for so long it is sort of stupid not to think that something is not up, "Okay you two, that is enough already. I know I may be only human but I am not an idiot, I can tell that you both are talking to one another using telepathy. I am your grandfather, I watched you when you were babies, and I know how you work."

Wyatt and I both had the decency to blush with embarrassment, all the while J.J. was cracking up with laughter. But that is alright because our Grandpa does not let anyone go, "You can stop your laughing, Janelle Jofranka, if you are having so many problems then you should quit a job or get a different one. Don't let work affect your schooling, I know I talked to both you and Wyatt about if you cannot handle a second job on top of medical school and your office jobs at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. Then you can either give up the second job and start working for me or you can move into the house – it would be farther from Seattle but you both have your ways around distance. But, no matter the case you need to watch that temper of yours. If you are stressed that you have other options. Chris has his own set of troubles to deal with and yours are no less and no greater than what he is dealing with. I will not except you taking out your anger on either of my grandsons when I have repeatedly offered my help."

"If this is what it feels like to get scolded by a father then I don't like it. I feel like I am seven years old again. And you know I despise my full name."

"Got you to listen though didn't it."

"You have to admit that we both have been stressing a lot more lately, J.J. It might be a good idea to take Grandpa up on at least on of his offers." Wyatt said as he put an arm around J.J.'s shoulders.

"If I get any say in this matter I would prefer it if you took him up on the job offer. I actually like not seeing Wyatt's ugly mug every day unlike you J.J." I stated in a fake whisper.

Wyatt made a dramatic hurt face and clutched at his chest, "Betrayed by my own brother."

J.J. patted Wyatt on his cheek and gave him a kiss, "I like his ugly mug just fine. Besides he is amazing in the sack – if you know what I mean."

I gagged, "Unfortunately, I do. I wish I didn't. I never want to hear anything about you and my brother's sex life ever again, never. I have officially lost my appetite."

J.J. threw me a shocked look, "Christopher, I would never. I was talking about how good Wyatt is at potato sack races."

"Sure you were, sure you were."

Author's Note: I am still here! I am SO VERY SORRY for the wait everybody! My life seemed to have a series of unfortunate events or something. It started with switching departments are work and my schedule being weird so I was tired what felt like all the time from school and work. Then anytime I would try to write anything for any of my stories I would get a major case of writer's block. And I have unfortunately had a lot of deaths in my family like last few years and that did not help with getting my mind in a place to be able to write for my stories. I really hope I did not loose anybody to my lack of writing. I have gotten some people recently that have favorited or set alerts for Blooded Black Roses and that really encouraged me to write something. I hope to try to get something out soon put I won't make any promised I cannot keep. I hope you enjoyed the update. Wish it was longer but I wanted to post something before I went to bed. I plan to go make and edit the first few chapters because I know there are some details I have changed from there being such a gap in the time of my writing.
I would love to hear from my readers, if you have any suggestion PLEASE let me know, I really enjoy getting ideas from my readers!
