DUN DUNA DAH! CHAPTER 8 is finally written!~ And I've updated two stories in less than a week, so I feel super accomplished right now. For the record, I wrote this all in the past four hours! (So you're all lucky, I didn't have much homework tonight, because school comes first for me! And I've been SUPER BUSY the past two weeks alone. So you're also lucky I didn't die from all the work.) So sorry it's taken so long to get around to writing it! (I think it's been over 2 months! O~O) But I feel it's well worth the wait, because I put a lot of thought into it, and there's quite a bit of Wilfred!

I just have a process and order of doing one story at a time, so it usually comes down to that being the hold up.

Disclaimor: I own nothing of BMP except for Phoenix at the moment and how she would affect the story. Also, I don't own any specific references (you'll know when you see them) and they have been given their due credit.

Anyways, we finally get to see what trouble Phoenix has caused now! I bet you've all been dying to know! (Again, sorry for the wait!) So please enjoy it and be an awesome reader and review! (I'll love you lots for it)

Claude stood fuming in my room. "I have accepted the fact that you are an acquaintance of Lord Micheal's. But this goes beyond my levels of patience!"

"What have I done?!" I didn't know what else to say. Wow, he's even more angry than that other night.

"You couldn't even follow one simple instruction. Something even a baby could have understood!" Claude continues.

I level a glare at him as I ask again, "What did I do wrong, Claude?"

"All I asked was for you to stay in your room!"

He must have seen me out on the balcony... "I'm sorry. I just wanted to have a quick look so I was only outside for a moment, but I was very careful about it. How did you even see me?"

"I didn't see you. One of the cameras did. That's the problem!" Claude yells.

My eyes widen and my stomach drops. Oh no!

Claude clicks on the TV in my room, and footage from Prince Wilfred's interview shows, when it suddenly shows a picture of me on my balcony appears. How can you even tell it's me? It's too far away and most of my face is hidden behind the railing. When another image, of me drawing in the garden appears. What the-? When was that taken?! As the background reporter says, "We have asked the royal family who this mysterious lady is... But thus far have received no formal reply to our questions." I gulp and stare at the TV, until Claude speaks in a low voice, making me focus again.

"This is exactly why I asked you to keep to your room!"

"That doesn't matter! If they wouldn't have had a picture of me in the garden, there wouldn't be a problem!" I raise my voice, and remember my current standing. "But, I'm sorry. I figure out a way to fix this." I say, meaning it.

"What are you going to do? This unfortunate matter is in all likelihood going to get worse. Do you understand the position you're in?!" Claude raises his voice to me. I could tell he thought I was an idiot.

Before I could retort, "And did you not listen to my instructions, Claude?" A quiet male voice fills my room.

I turn to see Prince Wilfred standing by the door. "Prince Wilfred." I say quietly.

"Your Highness..." Claude flinches, turns to face the prince, and bows his head. "No, even with Your Highness's instructions I cannot let this pass." Claude says forcefully raising his head to look Prince Wilfred in the eyes.

"Oh?" Prince Wilfred raises his eyebrows at that. "Is that any way to address me, Claude?"

Claude remembers his place, and bows again."Of course not, Your Highness. Please forgive my rudeness."

Prince Wilfred starts to smile. "Well... It's true that this issue concerning Phoenix is rather bothersome for the royal family."

"Of course it is!" Claude butts in.

"I shall make sure that Phoenix knows the severity of the problem myself." Prince Wilfred says.

Claude's shocked expression is priceless. "I'm sorry?"

"Didn't you hear me?" Prince Wilfred questions.

"I did." Claude utters.

"Then I shall talk to her. You may leave." Prince Wilfred dismisses him.

Claude stares at the prince, before bowing. "Understood..." I could see the sadness in Claude's eyes as he left, but I didn't know what to say to make the situation better, and frankly, I was still pissed at him to want to try. I'd probably only make it worse, anyways.

After the door shuts behind Claude, and we hear his steps grow fainter as they get further away, Prince Wilfred seriously says, "You've done it now."

I jump at his voice. "I am really sorry, Your Highness! I didn't mean to..." I bow my head to him, but stop when he starts laughing, and look up into his eyes.

"You're funny, Phoenix." Prince Wilfred says before getting serious. "And I thought we agreed you'd call me Prince Wilfred?"

"Sorry. It just slipped." I bow again quickly before looking back up at him and bite my lip.

The humored look returns to Prince Wilfred's face. "The way you hid behind the railing..." He shakes his head as he begins to laugh again. So he saw the video too?

"Did you want to watch it that desperately?" Prince Wilfred asks as he puts a hand to my cheek. "It's okay to say that you did." His eyes are calm as he says that.

"Ar-aren't you upset with me?" I ask shocked. I've started a scandal and he doesn't even act upset? He's so odd... but I find it endearing about him. I sigh inwardly.

"No." Prince Wilfred answers quickly. "What's the matter?" He asks taking a closer look at my face.

"I feel terrible about what's happened. Even though you aren't upset, is there anything I can do to make up for what I've done?" I ask seriously.

An odd look comes over Prince Wilfred's face. "Make up for it?" He whispers to himself.

"I've caused the Spencer family a lot of trouble, just for taking me in. So if there's anything..." I say feeling terrible.

"Take off your clothes." Prince Wilfred commands.

"WHAT?!" I step away from him shocked and afraid he's serious.

Prince Wilfred laughs. "I'm joking, Phoenix." Prince Wilfred steps towards me, and pats my head.

I grab his wrist and step away. "Well it's not funny! At all!"

Prince Wilfred realizes he's gone too far. "I'm sorry. You're right; it's not. I just wanted to see your reaction, but that's a bad reason to want to joke like that." He can tell that makes me feel better, before telling me, "You taking care of the flowers is enough." Prince Wilfred gives a gentle smile.

"But I've been taking care of the flowers because I wanted to." I argue.

"Well, if you want to help that much, I'll mention it to Claude."

"Claude?" I can feel myself pale, as I think of what terrible things Claude would make me do.

"Yes, though, I don't think he really like you, Phoenix." A playful smile on his lips as he says this.

I let out an annoyed sigh. "Really? You're just now seeing that? I've realized that since day one." I say with sarcasm.

"So, I better not mention it to him." Prince Wilfred says, already knowing that.

"No, it'll be fine." I look down defeated. Who knows? Maybe I deserve whatever task Claude-hopper gives me.

When there was no response, I look up to see Prince Wilfred's raised eyebrows.

"Would you like me to ask Claude for you, then?" I smile with my comeback.

Prince Wilfred laughs in spite of himself, and says, "Don't worry about it. I'll have a word with Claude."

"Thank you, Prince Wilfred." I bow, and feel his hand pat my head again. Does he see me as a dog, or what? He's pets me way too much! … Though, for some reason, my heart races every time he touches me. Why, do I react to his touch?

"It's fine. … Um, Phoenix? Have you exchanged contact information with Claude?" Prince Wilfred asks, sounding a little nervous.

I look at him. "Um, yeah. I gave him my phone number and email, and he gave me his. Why?" I ask confused.

Prince Wilfred nods and pulls out his iPhone. "Can you give me yours?"

I can't believe that he actually asked for my number. "What?"

Prince Wilfred looks away and I can see a faint blush on his cheeks. "If you don't want to, that's okay..."

"NO! I-I-I mean, yes, you can have my number." I say fast and clumsily. "You just took me by surprise." I say taking his phone and entering in my information.

"Oh, sorry. I guess it was a little out of no where." He agrees as he sends me a text with his email.

"It's fine. Besides, not many people can say they have a prince's phone number." I smile trying to make a joke.

Prince Wilfred smiles and nods. "You're right. Not many do."

We smile at each other for a minute before Prince Wilfred's phone goes off and he has to make his leave.

(Next afternoon)

I was watering the plants out in the hall, when Claude approached me. Before I could do anything, he bowed. Okay, I might not be Spiderman, but my spidey sense is tingling. Something's up here.

"I was out of line yesterday. My deepest apologies." Claude says smoothly.

I sigh quietly to myself before saying, "No, I needed to be chewed out. Please, raise your head." The smile on Claude's face looked kind, but the feeling of something being off, just intensified from seeing it. "I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have gone out."

"No, please don't worry yourself about it anymore." HUH?! "His Majesty, the King, managed to acquire the footage, and put a stop to it being shown. So, the rest will die down on its own."

I sigh, "That's good."

Claude nods, "As to your desire to assist me..." Here it comes. I ready myself for what he has to say next. "I could never ask anything of one of our guests." HUH?!

"But I caused a lot of trouble and I want to do something for the Spencers. And I have Prince Wilfred's permission." I add without fully thinking it through.

I can see Claude's mouth twitch. "His Royal Highness approves of this idea?"

"Yeah..." I say tentatively, now realizing I should have just taken the easy way out and not put up an argument.

"Understood. I shall take this as a directive from His Royal Highness and act accordingly. Would I be able to ask you to take care of some shopping?" Claude asks.

"Shopping?" But I thought I wasn't allowed to leave the castle...

Claude laughs at me. "Of course, I will require you to dress as a maid." He says matter-o-factly.

"Of course, it should be all right if I'm dressed as a... maid?!" I say back, not even realizing it, until I said it. I knew it! ALWAYS listen to the spidey sense!

(Later, On the way back)

Uhhh, my arms are killing me! I can't carry all this to the castle by myself! Damn you, Claude-hopper! I grumble to myself as I continue the hike back to the Chateau. When I was about to hit my limit, I stopped and put the bags down gently, to ensure nothing would break. I let myself huff in and out air trying to get my breathing under control. This is HARASSMENT! I fume as force myself to stand upright,

though, I really want to just pass out on the side of the road. It's not like I'm that out of shape, but just this past week of doing practically nothing, and then miles of a walk with probably 50lbs. of stuff, really tears a girl down.

I was so lost in my thoughts, that I failed to notice the approaching black car, that slowed, then stopped beside me. I looked when the window rolled down, ready to tell whoever it was that I was fine; Stupid pride! When I say a familiar blond head inside the car with amused blue eyes.

"Out shopping?" Prince Wilfred asks.

I quickly bow, "Yes, Claude asked me to..." I try to control my breathing so I don't sound winded.

"Claude...?" Wilfred turns his head to the person next to him. Curse the devil, and he shall appear... to mock you. I see Claude-hopper inside sitting next to Prince Wilfred.

Claude ignores me completely and talks to Prince Wilfred, "Your Highness, you should not be opening the window."

"How can I speak to her, if I don't open the window?" Prince Wilfred asks rhetorically.

"That's true, but..." Claude starts as Prince Wilfred turns back to me.

"Those look difficult to carry on your own. We'll give you a lift."

"Well..." I feel torn as I look over at Claude. Wilfred notices my gaze and follows it to his butler.

Claude sighs, before getting out of the car to face me. "Please. Get in the car."

"Are you sure?" I ask pointedly.

His eyes narrow. "Do you not want to?"

"As long as you don't mind!" I grab the bags and get in.

Prince Wilfred laughs quietly beside me. What is he...? "You suit those clothes."

I look down at the uniform. Right... I'm wearing a Maid's outfit... I feel the heat rise to my face with the realization, and look away from him.

"I find it a bit unreasonable though, asking a woman to carry all this by herself." Prince Wilfred says loudly, enough, that I'm sure, Claude can hear in the front passenger seat.

Though, he says nothing.

I can feel the tension in the car rise. This is awkward... and this silence is suffocating.

Prince Wilfred looks at me appraisingly. "Those flowers..."

"Hm?"

"The flowers you are taking care of do seem to look a lot better." Prince Wilfred says. Oh... The flowers in the office..."Though I could just be imagining it." Prince Wilfred says, then looks down at his lap.

I smile at him. "I would like to keep taking care of the flowers so they'll do even better."

"Please do." He says, then looks at me with a smile.

Finally, it feels comfortable. We are silent for a few minutes before Claude ruins is by starting to say, "Your Highness, about Miss Cecile..."

Prince Wilfred's expression freezes.

HUH?!

"Claude, we shall discuss that later." Prince Wilfred says coldly.

Claude pauses before saying, "Understood."

We ride back to the Chateau in an uncomfortable silence. Prince Wilfred silently looked out the window for the rest of the way, and I couldn't think of anything to break the silence, due to the fact that I was now curious about this Cecille.

I wonder why Prince Wilfred's mood changed all of a sudden? And who is this Miss Cecille? She can't be a sibling; Tarmo said Prince Wilfred only had an older brother. Is she a friend, or maybe even a girlfriend? If she were though, why wasn't she there that night at the party with Prince Wilfred and why hasn't she been mentioned before now? All I could do, was continue to wonder about the enigma that was Miss Cecille.

So who is she? When will she make her appearance? (I don't know exactly when, but it'll probably be a couple more chapters before she pops up to "rock the boat". Kudos to you if you know the reference and any other references I've made throughout my stories!)

So how'd I do? Worth the wait? Let me know!

See you next in "Phoenix and the Beast"! :) Or chapter 9 for this story if you don't read it, and if you haven't read it yet, why haven't you?!
