Chapter 12

Anakin was in his quarters going over some reports from a few Moffs who seemed to be having issues with a small bands of rebels, when there was a buzz on his com-link.

" Vader here." Anakin answered his com-link.

" Lord Vader, the Emperor demands that you contact him." the Admiral told Anakin.

" Thank you, Admiral." Anakin answered before cutting off the communication link.

Anakin got up from his desk and went into the communication section in his office.

" What is thy bidding My Master." Vader goes down on one knee and bows his head as the image of the Emperor comes into the room.

" Lord Vader, what news do you have for me." the Emperor gritting voice echoed throughout the room.

" The four cells of rebels have been taken care of and I will be checking out a new lead that my spies have sent me from on Outer Rim about more rebels." Vader reported to his Master.

" Good work Vader, but I have received news that a certain Senator is alive." the Emperor gritted his teeth together as he thought of the one person who has escaped him every time he had sent an assassin to kill her.

" Really and who would that be my Master?" Vader go a gut retching feeling of who he was talking about.

" It seems Senator Amidala is still alive, and it seems that she has been living right under our noses." Palpatine seemed to growl in anger when he mention the Senator's name.

" Are you sure that it was her, you do remember that she had women that looked like her, and they were used as her decoys." Vader remember there were two of her handmaidens that really did look like the Senator, and one of them is in hiding with his children.

" Are you questioning me Lord Vader!" Palpatine's eyes glowed even redder in total anger.

" No my Master, but what makes you so sure that it was her and not one of her ex-decoys?" Vader asked.

" It was a few weeks ago when she was seen leaving the palace before going to were her parents live, but now it seems that she has left Naboo, but as to where she is at now is a total mystery." Palpatine growled again in a rage of anger.

" I see, and what new assignment do you have for me to do my Master?" Anakin bowed his head again.

" I want you to find the Senator bring her back here to Naboo, and in front of me I want you to kill her." the Emperor started to laugh, but only ended up in a coughing rage and he was also trying to catch his breath.

Before Vader could say anything one of the red guards came up beside the Emperor and put his around him as to hold him up.

" As you wish, my Master." Vader ended the transmission and got up then headed back to his desk.

Now Anakin has one major problem and that is the Emperor now knows that Padme is alive so hiding her will be much harder.

Turning away from his desk Anakin stormed out of his office and made his way to the bridge so that way he can inform the Admiral that there has been a change of plans.

" Anakin we have your personal ship ready for you." the Admiral turned to Anakin when he came into the room.

" Good, I want you to head to the rendezvous point and if you get a call from the Emperor let him know that I am following a lead and I will give him a report in a couple of days, ready Rex." Anakin looked over to the clone soldier, who was standing next to the Admiral.

" Roger that sir." Rex answered.

" Good see you guys in a week then." Anakin told the Admiral.

" Well do sir, and you and the Senator keep safe, and see you later." Admiral nodded to Anakin with a smile on his face.

Anakin and Rex left the bridge and headed for the hanger bay to where his personal ship was located.

Once on board his ship Anakin to control of the ship and flew them off the battle cruiser and got them into hyperspace before turning the control to Rex.

" You have the ship Rex, am going to change into my plain clothes." Anakin unbuckled himself from his chair and left the cockpit.

Two hours later Anakin landed the ship right on the bluff overlooking the moister farm.

" Stay here and keep all channels on, and keep your ears open to anything that might get back to the Emperor." Anakin opened the hatch door and lowered the ramp before walking off the ship.

Anakin made his way down from the bluff and down to the farm and as he got closer he saw movement and noticed that it was a protocol droid and he seemed to working on something.

" Good morning Master Anakin, everyone is still asleep." C3-PO came up to his maker.

" Good morning C3-PO, I need you go and get Mistress Padme's things packed because we need to leave today." Anakin came up to the entrance of the homestead.

" Yes Master Anakin." C3-PO said as they entered the house.

C3-PO heads to the guest room and wakes up his Mistress.

" 3PO is there a problem?" Shmi stepped into the hallway as she exited her bedroom.

" Master Anakin is here and he wanted me to get Mistress Padme's things together." C3-PO said as Padme came out of the guest room.

" What is up 3PO?" Padme asked coming up to Shmi.

" Master Anakin is here and he wants me to get your things together." C3-PO answered Padme.

Both Padme and Shmi went into the living room to see Anakin standing there in his old Jedi clothes.

Padme ran up to Anakin and he pulled her into his arms and began kissing her.

" I missed you so much Ani." Padme pulled back some so she could look up to his face.

" I missed you too Padme." Anakin looked down at her and gave her his special smile that was just for her.

Padme noticed that his eyes were the very beautiful blue that she has always remembered him having before turning to the Dark Side.

" Ok you two, Padme we need to get going before it gets really hot today." Shmi smiled at the young couple.

" Yes ma'am, Anakin we were not expecting to see you here today." Padme moved away from Anakin and went up to Shmi.

" Really, well I am sorry that I couldn't let you know that I was coming today, so what are you two doing today?" Anakin looked at his wife and mother and saw that they already dressed to head out.

" We are heading for Mos Espa today to get a few things that we need, you can come with us if you want to." Shmi smiled at her son.

" I would be honor to be in the company of two beautiful women." Anakin returned his mother's smile, before holding out his two arms for both Shmi and Padme to take hold of each arm.

The three of them got into the land speeder and took off for Mos Espa, where they had a wonderful day just being together as a family.

The only thing that damped the day was in the back of Anakin's mind he had to come up with a way to tell Padme what was going on and to tell her that they have to leave Tatooine in the morning.

That night everybody said their goodnight to each and headed off to bed after Cliegg turned off the power, once in her room Padme got this feeling that Anakin was not telling her something because he seemed to be quiet and very watchful of things that was going on around them.

Padme laid down and closed her eyes and drifted off into a very light sleep.

And two doors down Anakin too was having a difficult time falling asleep and when he did close his eyes he went into light meditation sleep so that way he could still be alert of what was going on round the farm.
