Chapter 18
" Anakin it has been a very long time since we have seen you, and you must be Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme has told us so much about you both, you guys were with her most of the time during the Clone Wars." Ruwee shook both men's hands as they came into the house.
" It is nice to see you again Mr. Naberrie." Anakin shook the older man's hand.
" Padme we just got word from Queen Jamillia and she told us that you are working on to reestablish the Republic, and the rumors are they want you to be the new leader." Jobal came into the living room and came up to her daughter and gave her a huge hug.
" Hey mom, and yes I am working with other Senators, and also other leaders to reestablish the Republic, but I have turned down their request of me becoming the new high leader of the Republic or the new government we are forming." Padme returned her mother's hug.
" But why you would make a wonderful leader." Jobal pulled away from Padme and looked at her youngest daughter.
" Well because I am retiring from government all together." Padme went over to Anakin and wrapped her arms around him, before turning to face her parents.
" I see so what are you going to do?" Ruwee looked at the couple and smiled at them.
" Well I was thinking about moving back here with my children and husband and live a very quietly in the Lake Country." Padme smiled up at Anakin before he nodded to her.
" Husband, Padme when did you get married and how come you never said anything to us." Ruwee looked at the couple and then looked at the older man that came up next to the younger man.
" Anakin and I have been married for four and half years and the reason why we never have said anything is because of him being a Jedi, and that was why we got married in secretly, that is because the Jedi were against relationships." Padme looked at her parents before looking over to Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan just gave Padme a smile and then he sat down on the couch.
" Well then it is so great that you will be here, so where are your children now." Ruwee asked as everybody sat down.
" At the moment they are staying with Anakin's mom and step-father on Tatooine." Padme looked over at her parents.
" I see, oh dear I better start getting lunch ready, you guys will stay for lunch." Jobal realized that it was close to lunch.
" We would love too, and I will help you fix lunch." Padme got up from the couch and followed her mother into the kitchen.
Four hours later the lone ship was landing just behind the dome structure.
And three people left the ship and two of them headed for the main house while a single figure headed slightly to the North and walked the short distance from the other structure where a figure was waiting for the man to come up to the door way.
" Welcome back." Sabe looked up at the man who was now standing in front of her.
Obi-Wan picked up Sabe and carried her inside the house and straight for the bed room and to the bed.
" Mom, Cliegg we are back." Anakin called out as him and Padme walked into the house.
" Shh… Anakin you are going to wake up the twins, and I just put them down for the night, and welcome home." Shmi came into the room.
" Oh sorry, where is everybody?" Anakin noticed that it was only the three of them in the room.
" Well Owen and Beru are at their house and Cliegg is just about to shut down the power and I am about to go to bed." Shmi hugged both Padme and Anakin.
" Hey you two I just shut off the power and we were just about to go to bed." Cliegg came into the room and saw his step-son and daughter-in-law.
" Hey that sounds like a great idea we will see you guys in the morning then." Anakin hugged his mother goodnight and came over to Cliegg and shook his hand.
Padme hugged the older couple and followed Anakin to the bedroom where they got undressed and climbed into bed and fell sound asleep in each other's arms.
