It's been three weeks since Riley arrived in Kingston, Ontario and she entered the Last Chance Rehab Center. She has her ups and downs she has been clean for around a month now. She is fighting so hard to get her life back and is also training very hard for London which is now only a week away. She has not spoken to anyone from 15 Division since she left nor have they contacted her.
It's Friday afternoon when there is a knock on the door…
Dylan: one second
He opens the door and the Chief of Police is standing there with another young lady
Bryce: hey Dylan is Riley around?
Dylan: she's watching a movie with Dylan in the living room come on in
They walk into the house and he closes the door behind them
Riley: baby who was at the door?
She turns around and all the color drains out of her face
Bryce: Riley relax we are not here to bring you in. This is something else
They sit down on the couch
Dylan: Ty want to come with me?
Tyler: alright daddy
He gets off of the couch and runs to Dylan who takes him into the backyard while the ladies talk
Riley: what's up?
Bryce: while you have been doing awesome in the program and your almost done. Everyone in town loves you and we know that you want and need a fresh start. How would you like to join us here on the Kingston Police Force?
Riley: thank you for the offer but I have to speak with my boss back home before I accept your offer. Plus I have a house to take care of and other things to get in order can I think about it?
Bryce: absolutely also you will be partnered with Detective Charlotte Young and you still will be a Liuetentant
Riley: you must be Charlotte?
Charlotte: nice to meet you
Riley: same here does Dylan know about any of this?
Bryce: yeah he does and he sees how happy you are here and he thinks it's a great idea. Now what do you have left to do?
Riley: I have some letters to write then it's AA meetings twice this week. Seeing Dr. Kendrick on Monday so she can clear me for my trip to London on Wednesday other than that nothing
Bryce: I hope you take the job offer you would make a wonderful addition to the department
Riley: I have a lot to think about I will see you both out
They all get up off the couch and head for the front door
Bryce: let me know
Riley: bye
Charlotte and Bryce leave while Riley goes to talk with Dylan
In the Backyard…
Tyler: dad are you going to marry Ms. Riley?
Dylan: where did that come from? We just started dating do you like her?
Tyler: I do does she have any kids?
Dylan: she has a little girl a little older than you
Riley walks out of the house
Riley: when were you going to tell me about the job?
Dylan: I was going to but I told them they had to speak to you about it first. What did you tell them?
Riley: it's a big decision and that I would think about it
Dylan: are you happy here?
Riley: of course I am, I've never been happier while there… oh never mind
Dylan: hey you can tell me anything remember what Dr. Kendrick said don't hold anything in
Riley: when I was in Dallas with Kayla's dad
Dylan: it's alright I am not upset you had a life before I came into the picture
Riley: I am sorry
Dylan: don't be how are your letters coming?
Riley: they're currently not
Dylan: we head back to Toronto on Monday afternoon you need to get those done, did you make the phone call to your Staff Sergeant?
Riley: no on that one too
Dylan: go and do those now or we don't leave
Riley: when are your parents coming?
Dylan: don't change the subject and the answer is in a while
Riley: I am going
She goes back inside the house
Inside on the Phone…
Frank: 15 Division Staff Sergeant Frank Best
Riley: Frank it's Riley
Frank: McNally long time I hear you are doing great what can I do for you?
Riley: I need to set up a time for me to come in and discuss my future. I will be in town on Tuesday can we set up a time?
Frank: sure what time?
Riley: how about 9 in the morning
Frank: ok see you then
She hangs up the phone and calls Molly about selling her house
On the Phone…
Molly: hello?
Riley: hi Molly could you and I meet up on Tuesday? I want to talk to you about maybe selling my house
Molly: are you sure you just moved in
Riley: I will explain everything when I see you
Molly: sure what time did you want to meet?
Riley: I have a meeting at 9 but we could maybe meet for lunch
Molly: that sounds good see you then
Riley: bye
She hangs up the phone then goes upstairs to write her letters
Upstairs…
Riley has found a pad of paper and a pen and she curls up on the window seat and writes her letters
Dear Sam, it's Riley I am writing to you to say I am sorry for everything. You have been an amazing friend and I will always consider you one of my best friends. I love you but I am not in love with you. You will always be in my heart I know that you will find the one who you are meant to be with but I am not her. I wish you all the luck in the world, please forgive me I hope I will always be in my life and I in yours. Be safe and stay in touch. I love you with all my heart.

Dear Andrea, I know that I am the last person you want to hear from right now. But I need to do this, I am so sorry for leaving you all those years ago. After mom left us and dad hit the bottle I could not handle it and I ran, leaving you behind. I never intended for you to get hurt by my actions. I hope one day I can have my little sister back and that you will forgive me for everything I have done to hurt you. I want to be there for when you get married and for everyday after that. I am only a phone call away I will always love you and you are always in my thoughts and my heart.

Riley gets up and goes downstairs to get something to eat and to stretch her legs
Downstairs…
Dylan is in the living room watching a movie while Tyler is asleep in his arms
Riley: baby what you watching?
Dylan: Marmaduke how did you call go?
Riley: I meet with Frank on Tuesday at 9
Dylan: come over here
She walks over to Dylan, she leans down and kisses him
Riley: I didn't think I was going to make it through that one letter, I just told someone that I was not in love with him but hey could we still be friends
Dylan: that must have been hard
Riley: it was but I don't want to string him along. How would you and Tyler like to go with us to London?
Dylan: I thought you'd never ask we would love to, we can celebrate the kids birthdays while were there
Riley: I actually already bought your ticket you see Tyler flies free because he's under 10
Dylan: have I told you lately that I love you?
Riley: no
Dylan: while I do
Riley: I love you too
She gives him one last kiss then heads to the kitchen for coffee and a cookie before heading upstairs to write the last letter
Dear Oliver, Zoe and Izzy, I don't know where to begin. But I want to start out by apologizing for how I acted that day at your house. I responded badly to a situation that should never have happened. But you should not have called me an unfit mother and said that Kayla would have been better off without me. What really set me off and the reason I snapped was Zoe you went after my daughter threatening to have her taken away from me. You should have known better you never come between a mother and her child. Izzy you are always welcome in my home and in my life I hope you know that. I am not going to apologize for how I live my life because it is my life. I hope one day that we can put this all behind us and move on with our lives. You are my family and you always will be. There is a knock on the front door
Dylan: baby could you get the door
Riley goes downstairs and opens the door
Alise: Riley how are you dear?
Riley: I am good
They walk into the house and they set their bags on the floor
Dylan: hi mom and dad I would get up but I can't at the moment
Luke: that's ok son
Alise: so when do we get to meet your little one Riley?
Riley: how about on Monday afternoon we're headed back to Toronto and they are flying up Monday night
Luke: that would be wonderful
Riley: I've missed her so much and I can't wait to see her
Alise: what are the plans for your week?
Riley: well we are headed back to Toronto Monday afternoon, Kayla's godmother Jordan is bringing her and her two daughters up. Tuesday I go and talk to my boss about my future. Wednesday we leave for London. Oh wait one other important thing I get my 30 day coin on Monday morning before we leave
Luke: talk about a busy week
Riley: that's ok it will fly by quickly though and it's all worth it in the end
Tyler begins to stir in Dylan's arms
Tyler: grandma and grandpa
He climbs out of his father's arms and runs over to his grandparents
Luke: hey kiddo
He picks him up
Alise: Dylan have you heard from your sister lately?
Dylan: yeah I talked to her the other day she said to say hello
Luke: our daughter McKenzie a teacher in Thunder Bay
Riley: older or younger?
Dylan: older by five years
Riley: I have a younger sister Andy she's a cop too
Alise: where did you want to go for lunch?
Dylan: how about Callie's?
Riley: I love that place their food it so good
Dylan: did you finish your letters?
Riley: yes I did let me go and grab my purse from upstairs
She runs upstairs
Alise: how is she doing?
Dylan: great she's been going to AA meetings, seeing Dr. Kendrick and she's really happy here she was even offered a job
Luke: where?
Dylan: Kingston PD and before you ask no she has not taken the job yet
Riley returns and is ready to go
Riley: you told them didn't you? You know what I'll meet you at Callie's
She goes outside and starts her bike and takes off
Alise: were we not supposed to know?
Dylan: she's got a lot on her mind and it's a huge decision I should have respected her privacy and I didn't
Luke: are you falling in love with her?
Dylan: I am head over heels in love, but is it too soon after loosing Amy? Also we've only known each other for a short time
Alise: Amy would want you to be happy and we really like her
Dylan: she makes me laugh, she loves Tyler we have a lot in common. I get butterflies inside when I am with her
Luke: yeah your in love have you told her yet?
Dylan: not yet I am waiting for the right time but I will. We should get going
They all go out to the car and they get in and head over to Callie's Diner
Callie's Diner it's around 6:00 pm…
Donnie: hey Riley eating alone tonight?
Riley: no the others are on the way I'll have a water while I wait
Donnie: you got it
He pours her a glass of water and her phone goes off
On the Phone…
Riley: Lieutenant McNally
Sam: Hey I just called to see how your doing?
Riley: I am good I'll be coming into the station on Tuesday to talk with Frank. I have a letter for you
Sam: well I am still on duty
Riley: when does your shift start?
Sam: seven
Riley: ok I'll see you then I've got to go
Sam: bye
She hangs up the phone when Dylan, Alise, Luke and Tyler walk through the door
Donnie: sit anywhere you want
Dylan: is this seat taken?
Riley: not bye me so go ahead
They sit down while Riley is ignoring Dylan
Dylan: I am so sorry it just slipped out
Riley: don't worry about it, it just wasn't your news to tell
She has tears falling
Alise: honey do you want to talk?
Riley: please excuse me
She gets up and goes outside and starts having an attack
Luke: Dylan something's wrong
Dylan: she suffers from anxiety attacks
He gets up and runs outside to Riley
Outside…
Riley: I thought I had this under control
Dylan: baby just take slow deep breaths
She tries to calm her breathing
Riley: I just want to go home
Dylan: are you sure? We can get something to go?
Riley: no you go and eat with your parents, I can take my bike home. Please tell them I am not feeling well
She gives him a kiss on the cheek and heads home on her bike, Dylan goes back into the diner
Inside Callie's…
Luke: everything ok?
Dylan: she's not feeling well so she went home I want to bring her something back though
Alise: we can do that just give her some time
Ashley: hey Dylan where's Riley tonight?
Dylan: she wasn't feeling well so she went home
Ashley: what can I get you tonight?
They order the dinner when Charlotte walks in
Charlotte: hey guys
Ashley: I'll go and put these in for you
Dylan: thanks
She walks back to the kitchen
Alise: how do you know my son?
Charlotte: I am with the Kingston PD Detective Charlotte Young
Luke: Luke Stevens and my wife Alise it's nice to meet you
Charlotte: the same as well, tell Riley we all wish her luck in London
Dylan: you got it
Charlotte: good night
She goes to collect her take out
Alise: she seems nice
Dylan: she is
Ashley brings out their meals and they eat dinner
Donnie: what did you want to get Riley?
Dylan: how about tomato soup with crackers
Donnie: you got it
Dylan: thanks man you're the best
Donnie: no problem
He goes back to the kitchen while they finish their dinner
It's around 9:30 pm when Dylan, Tyler and his parents return home
Alise: let me take him and you go check on Riley
Dylan hands Tyler to his mom while he goes to find Riley who is sound asleep in a lounge chair on the porch with her journal on her lap
Out Back…
Dylan: Riley baby time to get up
Riley: huh where am I?
Dylan: you fell asleep on the porch are you hungry? We brought you back food
Riley: I am tired can we just go to bed?
Dylan: sure
He helps her up off the lounge chair and they go upstairs to bed. Luke and Alise have also gone to bed along with Tyler
