Riley and Dylan are getting ready to leave the hotel lobby when she is stopped by a fan

She signs the girl's notebook

The girl runs back over to her waiting friends while Dylan and Riley head over to the arena

Riley: registration is over there
They walk over to the table
Henry: name?
Riley: Riley McNally
Henry: sign in here and here is the program packet
He hands her the packet when Avalon Diamond and Madison Cross walk over to the table
Avalon: Riley McNally how are you?
Riley: good how are you these days?
Avalon: great I had a little boy who turns a year next week we should get together while were here for lunch
Riley: most definitely and congratulations and you are?

Riley: this is Dr. Dylan Stevens

Riley: well we need to get back we have a long day planned Kayla turns 4 today

They head back to the hotel
It's 9:20 am when they arrive back at the Royal Horseguards Hotel…
Dylan: so what's in the package?
Riley: just some information I compete on Friday at 1:00 pm and I am going against Katana…
The color drains from her face
Dylan: hey what's wrong?
Riley: well 2 years ago I almost killed her. I was fighting her and I knocked her unconscious she was out cold for 2 days and she ended up with a brain hemorrhage, luckily she recovered. I was not charged with anything because as I said on the plane over here anything goes
Dylan: are you going to be ok?
Riley: yeah it's the risks you take when doing what you love
Jordan and the girls come into the lobby
Jordan: how did it go?
Riley: good I compete tomorrow at 1 and I ran into an old friend who is competing here as well
Jordan: that's great you should call her and get together
Riley: maybe in the morning but today is all about Kayla
Kayla: mommy where are we going today?
Riley: I was thinking the Hop On, Hop Off Tour what do you think?
Jordan: that sounds good because the next three days of your schedule are insane
The others arrive in the lobby

He runs over to Dylan who kneels down and picks him up

Keegan: where do we go to meet up with the tour bus?
Riley: Hyde Park Corner, bus leaves every 10 - 15 minutes

He starts snapping pictures of everyone and everything around him

They leave the hotel and head for Hyde Park Corner

Andy: uh guys there is a problem
They all look up and see a sign saying they are closed for the day
Riley: oh that's ok we can do this on our own
Dylan: where to first?
They pick a location and they head out sight seeing for the day
It's around 4:00 pm when they stop for dinner at the Rainforest Café…
Gavin: how many tonight?
Riley: I think there's 12 of us and there are two birthdays today, she's turning 4 and he's turning 2
Gavin: ok we'll see what we can do right this way please
He takes them to a very large table in the middle of the room and they sit down
Riley: where is the bathroom?
Gavin: when you walk in it down the hall on the right
Riley: thank you
She gets up and goes to visit he bathroom
Gavin: what can I get you all to drink?
They all give him their drink orders
Dylan: and she'll have a blue raspberry ice
Gavin: alright I'll go put these in while you look over the menu and I will be right back

He goes with their drink orders and Riley returns from the bathroom
Riley: they have a animated tiger on the way to the bathroom it freaked me out because I didn't know it was there
Alise: that's cool I will have to check it out before we leave
Riley: Kayla honey what do you want for dinner?
Kayla: Ozzie Burger well done
Dylan: Tyler what do you want?
Tyler: Maya's Meatballs looks good
Gavin returns with their drinks
Gavin: are you ready to order?
Riley: yes she's going to have the Ozzie Burger well done with Pickles and Ketchup and I am gonna have the Primal Steak well done
Dylan: he's going to do Maya's Meatballs and I am also going to have the Primal Steak but medium well
They other give Gavin their orders
Gavin: I am gonna go and put these in let me know if there is anything else you need
Riley: thank you
The atmosphere in the room gets dark and gloomy all of a sudden and it sounds like a thunderstorm is rolling in
Andy: what the heck is that?
Riley: must be something they do here

A staff member walks up to their table with a camera
Nikki: hi I was wondering if I could get a group shot of everyone
Riley: sure can we get copies of them?
Nikki: absolutely you just need to let me know before you leave on how many you need and we can print them out for you
Everyone squishes together around the table and Nikki takes their picture

Nikki shows him the digital camera screen and it looks awesome
Riley: we are going to need 5 please
Nikki: sure enjoy your meal and they will be waiting for you before you leave

She walks away while they wait for their meals to arrive
Kayla: mommy I can't wait to see the fish at the aquarium
Riley: that's going to be fun make sure grandpa takes lots of pictures

Riley's phone goes off
On the Phone…
Riley: hello?
Avalon: hey Riley I was calling to see if you want to get together later for drinks
Riley: sure but I don't drink is that a problem?
Avalon: of course not what time did you want to meet and where?
Riley: probably around 7 and The Square Pig in King's Cross
Avalon: sounds good see you there

She hangs up the phone
Dylan: what's going on?
Riley: meeting up with Avalon who you met earlier later for drinks
Jordan: what is The Square Pig?
Riley: it's a coffee house
Dylan: ok so who all is going with us tomorrow?
Jordan: Keegan, Andy, Nick and I are. I think the others are headed for the aquarium
Tommy: yes nice quite fun place

She gets up and gives him a huge hug and sits back down

Gavin and Nikki come out with their meals and they set them down in front of everyone

Gavin and Nikki leave while everyone eats their meals
45 Minutes Later…
Gavin, Nikki and some other staff member come out carrying a sparkling volcano and singing happy birthday
Gavin and Nikki and group: Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Kayla and Tyler Happy Birthday to you
They set the desert on the table in front of the two kids who proceed to blow out the candles
Gavin: they also both get a backpack either an orangutan or a crocodile
Riley: orangutan for her and the croc for him
Nikki: the bag is filled with birthday goodies for them both be right back with them
Riley: thank you
Gavin: enjoy
They walk away while the group tries to figure out how to eat the massive desert
Alise: how are we going to eat this?
Luke: I would just take a fork and dig in
Andy: dad get a picture of the kids with this thing
Tommy take out his camera and gets pictures of them trying to eat the volcano. They finally manage to find a way to eat it
It's around 6:30 pm when they get ready to leave the Rainforest Café
Nikki: you are all set here are the five copies of the group picture that was taken earlier and also the kids backpacks. Enjoy the rest of your stay in London
Riley: thank you so much for everything
Riley leaves a $100 tip on the table along with their payment for their meal and they get up and leave the restaurant headed back for the hotel

Riley: could you watch Kayla while I am gone?
Dylan: absolutely go have fun
Riley: Kayla honey you be good for Dylan alright?
Kayla: ok mommy thank you for an amazing day I loved every minute of it
Riley: you are so welcome Happy Birthday baby I love you
She gives her daughter a big hug

They go inside the hotel while Riley goes to The Square Pig to meet up with Avalon
The Square Pig King's Cross it's a little after 7 when Riley finally walks into the coffee house
Avalon: you made it
Riley gives her a hug and they sit down at an empty table
Riley: so sorry I am late we had a very busy day and just got back to the hotel. How have you been?
Avalon: great as I told you earlier, I have a son who turns 1 next week. His name is Joseph and I got married shortly after competing in Japan. I now own my mixed martial arts studio in Mexico City.
How are you doing?
Riley: I've had a rough couple of months. I moved from Dallas back to Toronto to reconnect with my family and it went to hell in a hand basket. I found out that I had cervical cancer and when I was in surgery having it removed my sister was violently raped and almost killed by a serial rapist who turned out to be a detective in our division
Avalon: oh my god, I am so sorry to hear that, is the cancer gone?
Riley: yes but I can't have any more kids, shortly after that I started drinking and I lost custody of Kayla her god mother has temporary custody. I spent the last month in rehab trying to get clean
Avalon: and you here competing your have the strength and heart of a warrior. To go through all that and be here now I give you so much credit
Riley: thanks it's been a long hard road but I am finally getting back on my feet
Avalon: who was that handsome guy I saw you with earlier
Riley: that is Dr. Dylan Stevens he was my psychiatrist but I found a new one because we started seeing each other before I went into rehab
Avalon: I can tell he makes you happy are you still a cop?
Riley: he does and yes but not in Toronto. I am moving to Kingston, ON when we get back home. They offered me a job and I am gonna take it
Avalon: how does your family feel about you moving?
Riley: they support it and they want me to be happy. So anyone else we know competing this time?
Avalon: do you remember Katana Lexington?
Riley: how could I forget I almost killed her last year
Avalon: but you didn't also remember each one of us know what we are getting into when we step into the cage
Riley: I know that all to well and the worse part of it is that I am fighting her tomorrow

They continue to catch up with each other

Dylan and the kids are watching TV on the bed when she walks in
Riley: hey guys having fun?

Riley: I love that movie but I am gonna go and take a shower. She should be in bed already
Dylan: she wanted to wait for you to come back
Riley: please put her in bed thanks
She grabs her pajamas and heads to the bathroom

Izzy: hey Riley
Riley: hi should you be calling me your dad's gonna flip
Izzy: he's at work so I am safe wanted to let you know mom's awake and she is recovering nicely
Riley: that's good to hear what else can I do for you?
Izzy: wanted to wish you luck I'll be watching on TV and are you coming back to Toronto afterward?
Riley: for a while yeah but I'll talk about that when I get back. I have to go long day tomorrow
Izzy: night love you

She hangs up the phone and takes her shower
Dylan: she's right lets get you both into bed
Tyler: do I have to?
Dylan: yes you and Kayla are going to the aquarium with your grandparents tomorrow

Dylan puts both kids to bed when Riley comes out of the bathroom
Dylan: everything alright?
Riley: yeah could you hold me please

She lays down on the bed in front of Dylan and he wraps her arms around her and they fall asleep
