It's now 3:00 pm when Riley, Andy, Dylan, Nick and the two little ones finally make it back to Toronto after several delays in London
Toronto International Airport…
Dylan: back at last that was horrible Riley we have to be at St. Vincent's in an hour so we should get moving
They grab their luggage and they head over to St. Vincent's Cathedral
St. Vincent's Cathedral…
Everyone is standing outside when Riley pulls up and they get out of the truck
Frank: good to see you made it home
Riley: yeah and what happened?
Frank: an undercover gone wrong
Riley: apparently
Oliver and Traci are standing over by an angel fountain talking
Oliver: the nerve of her to show up
Traci: she new Gail too so don't start being an ass
Oliver: fine I'll be have myself
Frank: how did things go in London?
Riley: I won but that's irrelevant the issue here is we need to stop loosing our friends
Noelle: a young life taken to soon
They all go inside where the funeral is about to begin
Inside the Cathedral…
It's jam packed with police officers who are there to pay their respects to a fallen friend and colleague. Riley, Andy, Dylan, Nick and the kids find some open spots in the back of the building and they sit down
Father Michaels: dearly beloved we are gathered here today to say goodbye to a daughter, fellow officer and friend who was taken from us too soon. Her mother would like to say a few words
Superintendent Elaine Peck gets up from her seat in the front row and goes to stand in front of everyone
Elaine: thank you all for coming to pay your respects to my daughter. She was always the life of the party so many of you saw her grow up throughout the years. I will always love her and we will meet again one day. Is there anyone else who would like to say a few words?
Traci gets up and goes up to the podium
Traci: very sorry for your loss
Elaine: thank you dear
She goes back to her seat
Traci: Gail was a pain in the ass but she was a really good friend. We just went to the academy together and she would have made a great cop. She will be missed each and every day
She has tears streaming down her face, another person gets up and says a few words while Traci returns to her seat. Riley is having trouble breathing so she gets up and heads outside
Outside…
Riley is sitting on a stone bench to the right of the cathedral doors, Sam comes out and walks over to her
Sam: I hear congratulations are in order
Riley: thanks so how have you been?
Sam: good about to go with Guns and Gangs in a few days
Riley: a lot has changed since I came home but I think it's finally going in the right direction
Dylan comes out of the cathedral and he walks over to them
Sam: I should be going you take care of yourself and stay safe
Riley: I will thanks and you as well
Sam walks over to the parking lot and he leaves the service
Dylan: everything ok?
Riley: yeah I just needed some air what's up?
Dylan: move in with me
Riley: its to soon I can't
Dylan: we can do what we did before separate rooms until you are ready to take the next step
Riley: alright, what are you going to do about your practice here in Toronto?
Dylan: I am closing it and just having the one in Kingston it's time for a change
Riley: ok I am meeting with Molly tomorrow but I am gonna need help moving our stuff
Dylan: sure what all goes?
Riley: everything but the furniture, oh I also have to call Chief Richards
Dylan: why don't you do that now
Riley: this isn't the time nor place for that
Dylan: it's as good as any
Riley: alright could you give me a few minutes
Dylan: sure
He gets up and goes back into the cathedral while she makes her call. She takes out her cell phone and calls Chief Richards
On the Phone…
Bryce: Kingston Police Department, this is Chief Bryce Richards how may I help you?
Riley: Chief Richards it's Riley McNally I am back from London and I was wondering if your offer was still on the table?
Bryce: absolutely it's yours if you still want it?
Riley: yeah I do and one other thing I am gonna need September 15, 16, 17 and 18 off for personal reasons
Bryce: sure I am flexible when can you start?
Riley: I ma thinking by Friday have to pack everything and finalize the sale on my house
Bryce: ok that's fine let me know if anything changes and I will see you on Friday at 9 am then
Riley: see you then
She hangs up the phone just as everyone from service spill out into the open air. Andy, Nick, Dylan, Tyler and Kayla come out as well
Dylan: when do you start?
Riley: Friday morning, which means we have a busy week ahead of us
Andy: I am gonna miss you
Riley: same here but you can always come and visit
Andy: that's true
Riley's phone vibrates indicating a text message
Riley: Jordan and the girls have made it safely to Orlando now they just have get to Dallas
Dylan: that's good
Frank and Noelle walk over to them
Frank: Officer McNally you are to report to desk duty tomorrow at 9 am
Andy: yes sure
Frank: well were gonna get going take care and best of luck in whatever you do
Riley: thank you
Frank and Noelle walk over to the parking lot and they leave the service and head home
Nick: we should be also heading out
Andy: call when you finally get settled
Riley: I will drive safe and I love you
She gives Andy a hug and kiss
Andy: I love you too
Nick and Andy also head for home
Riley: I guess we should head back to my place and get started packing
Dylan: alright
Riley: lets go
They take the kids and head over to Riley's house to pack
301 Lilac Lane… it's around 8:20 pm when they get back
Tyler and Kayla are sound asleep when Dylan pulls into the driveway and they get out
Dylan: lets get these two to bed before we get started
Riley: good idea
They take the little ones in the house and to bed. They end up packing into the wee hours of the morning
It's 9:30 am on Tuesday morning…
Dylan is awake and is making coffee, while everyone else is still asleep. When someone knocks on the front door
Dylan: one moment
He answers the door to find Molly standing there
Molly: morning is Riley home?
Dylan: you must be Molly please come in, can I get you a cup of coffee?
Molly: that would be great thank you
She walks into the house and he closes the door behind them
Dylan: how would you like your coffee?
Molly: black with 3 sugars, how's the packing?
Dylan: good almost done actually so what are the people like who are buying the house?
Molly: they are really good friends of mine. They have a 6 month old daughter
Riley wakes up and come stumbling down the stairs into the living room
Riley: I thought I heard voices morning
Molly: welcome home
Riley: thanks do you have the paperwork for me to sign?
Molly: yes look it over and sign. It should close by the end of the month
Riley: ok can I get some coffee before reading this?
Dylan: yeah
He goes into the kitchen to get her a cup of coffee
Molly: you look tired
Riley: we didn't get to bed until around 6 this morning
Dylan returns with a fresh cup of coffee and he hands it to Riley
Riley: thanks
She takes the paperwork and reviews it before signing
Molly: I will make a copy and get it you by next week
Riley: you can mail it to 56 Meadowbrook Lane Kingston, Ontario
Molly: absolutely don't be a stranger
Riley: thank you for everything
She gets up and gives her a hug
Molly: take care
Dylan: let me show you out
Riley: bye and thank you again for everything
Dylan walks Molly to the front door and sees her out while Riley sits there finishing her coffee. Kayla wakes up and begins crying
Kayla: mommy
Riley: coming baby
She goes upstairs to get Kayla
Upstairs…
Riley: Kayla baby what's the matter?
Kayla: bad dream mommy
Riley: I am so sorry it's ok I am here now
She wraps her arms around her daughter and comforts her
