Hey guys! I decided to do this chapter from the POV of Haruhi. It would definitely be best from her perspective. Hope you enjoy yet another chapter of the story! :D
DATE AND TIME: AUGUST 4TH, 11:40 am
POV: Haruhi
"Of course, Yuki!" I laugh, smiling at the guest sitting across from me.
"But...who is the most beautiful among us?" Yuki asks.
"It's obviously you, Irena!" Another guest exclaims. Everyone seated at my table begins to argue over the answer, making my head swim. At once, they all look at me.
"Well, who is it?" Irena asks. I blink a couple of times and shake my head slightly.
"Well...I think you are all pretty beautiful." I shrug. The girls squeak in delight and I glance over at Kyoya. He's already looking at me. I smile.
I couldn't wait to talk to him.
As I am gathering my bag at the end of the meeting, I feel a heavy presence behind me. I turn quickly, only to find Mori with a strange expression on his face.
"...Can we talk?" he asks, eyes staring urgently into mine.
"Er, yeah, sure. What's up?"
"Alone?" He glances at Tamaki and the others, still with guests at their individual tables. We leave the music room and walk through the empty hallway in silence. I glance at the clock. It was already noon, and classes started in thirty minutes. I hope this wouldn't take too long.
We make a couple of turns, and when the music room is far away, Mori stops, turning towards me. He stares at me for a long moment, than sighs.
"I know about your relationship with Kyoya." he says, voice low, as always.
My eyes widen and I blink a couple of times, feeling heat rise towards my cheeks.
"Did he tell you about it?" I ask. Kyoya and Mori weren't best-friends or anything, so I hadn't expected him to.
"No." he looks at me sharply. "I saw you two...in front of the pond."
I take a deep breath, more upset that he saw me in such an awkward state then about him finding out about us.
"Right." I try to find words to fill the awkward silence, but am unable to. Mori mumbles something. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" I ask.
"I-" He looks down at first, but then stares at me seriously. "I'm in love with you."
I look anywhere but at him, trying to comprehend this confession.
"I'm...sorry." I hesitate and stare at him with sympathetic eyes. "You are a wonderful person, I mean, I really like you but...I love Kyoya." I state it clearly, not wanting him to miss a word, or misunderstand.
"I know." he sighs. Frustrated, he runs a hand through his hair. "I know you love him." He says this with agitation.
At that moment, something in Mori's eyes changes.
"...Mori-?"
I am thrown against a classroom door, Mori's body pressing into me, lips violently smashing against mine. I push against him, grunting in refusal.
He pulls my arms above my head, keeping them there with one hand, as the other explores the skin beneath my uniform.
He moves from my mouth to my neck. I can feel him tracing his lips there, to my shoulders, and back up.
"Mori, please...stop...you don't know what you're doing..." I whimper as he gently bites the skin on my neck. I try to kick him, but he presses himself against my legs. He kisses me again, long and hard. After a moment, he moves back away from my lips again.
"Stop it!" I cry out, hoping someone would come down this hallway and help me. He suddenly moves away from me, releasing my arms.
"Why can't it be me?!" Mori shouts, pain echoing in his eyes. "Why can't you love me?!" I grasp for words, but they don't come. I had never seen this type of behavior from Mori. He was always calm and collected. Strong.
"And now...look at what I've done?! I've hurt the person I love most!" he yells.
But I look at him now, and he seems broken, filled with anguish beyond his control.
"I'm sorry!" he cries, head in his hands. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
The bell for class rings and I jump in surprise. I glance at the clock as the hall fills with students, and glance back at Mori.
But he was gone.
I make my way back to the music room.
Just as I had hoped, Kyoya is still there, writing things down on his clipboard. He looks down at me, pausing in his writing.
"Haruhi?" he questions, eyes filled with worry. I go to him, collapsing onto his chest. He barely catches me in time.
Tears flow down my cheeks and, feeling his arms wrap around me, I sob into Kyoya's uniform.
