Well...it's been quite a while since I've updated this story. Quite a long while. I've re-watched the anime and reread my previous chapters (twice) to try and start back up what I was previously working on. I hope those who were reading this will forgive such a long hiatus.

Also, it's been a while since I seriously worked on my skills as a writer, so I may be a bit rough, but do try and excuse that as I try to find my rhythm again. Thank you all so much for reading. You don't know how much I truly appreciate it.

Chapter 1: Kyoya and Haruhi realize they like each other, make out. Yep.

Chapter 2: Hikaru tells Kaoru he's in love with Kyoya. Kaoru is clearly upset. Hikaru dreams of Kyoya, Kaoru kisses him while he sleeps, they fight, make up, Kaoru cries, Hikaru comforts

Chapter 3: Mori sees Haruhi and Kyoya kissing. He is hurt. We learn he is in love with Haruhi.

Chapter 4: Kaoru looking for Hikaru, overhears Kyoya and Hikaru talking, Hikaru confesses, Kyoya rejects but Kaoru is still upset and runs away. Hikaru runs after Kaoru. Kaoru trips, and ends up confessing to Hikaru, Hikaru is all "its not rigghhhtt thoughhh and rejects". Kaoru is sad

Chapter 5: (basically chapter 4 but in Kyoya's point of view), after Hikaru's confession and running out the room, Kyoya is late meeting Haruhi, who is asleep on bench, Kyoya puts her in car and they go

Chapter 6: (Chapter 4 in Hikaru's view) We learn Hikaru is secretly questioning whether or not he may love Kyoya or Kaoru.

Chapter 7: Kyoya brought Haruhi to his house for the night. Haruhi is scared cus storm and Kyoya goes with her to her room to comfort her. The kiss a bunch. Small sexual stuff, but Haruhi says she not ready so Kyoya is like "cool" and they go to bed together

Chapter 8: Hikaru leaves Kaoru in the middle of the night. Kaoru questions him. More rejection basically

Chapter 9: Hikaru goes to Mori's house They develop a plan so both of them get who they want (but Mori actually just wants time to confess to Haruhi). Mori cheers Hikaru up cus he is sad

Chapter 10: Kaoru POV of chapter 8. Super sad. He is very depressed over Hikaru's rejection. He cries cus he always cries

Chapter 11: Tamaki questions why Kyoya is so happy. Kyoya avoids questioning. Hikaru pulls Kyoya into bathroom and kisses him but is confused for some reason and leaves.

Chapter 12: Mori pulls Haruhi aside to confess. After rejected with "Sorry mate I love Kyoya", Mori, in anger, takes advantage of her, kisses and touches her forcefully. He stops but is very angry at himself. He cries and leaves.

Chapter 13: Hikaru goes home for a "headache" after his confrontation with Kyoya. He is confused about who he loves. He goes upstairs to his bedroom but Kaoru is already there. He tries to ignore him but he starts thinking sexual stuff. Karou thinks he's sleeping so he starts saying sexual stuff too and then the have some nice sexy times.

Chapter 14: Mori POV of chapter 12. He is very disappointed in himself. He runs away being all like "Nice job me I'm going to run away now cus i did something stupid."

Annnnd thats all there is to it. Sorry for writing so much in whats supposed to be a short intro. I hope you guys enjoy this short little chapter! Depending on response I get, I will definitely get another one out soon.

Date and Time: August 4th, 2:00 pm

POV: Kaoru

I didn't want to open my eyes.

If I were to open them, I knew for sure that my time with Hikaru would become a dream. I would be forced to face reality. The reality that Hikaru didn't want me.

That he would never want me.

I felt a pain in my chest. I squeezed my closed eyes tighter, allowing only a single tear to slide across my face.

The blanket was wrapped tightly against my chest. It was strangely warm.

Eyes still closed, I let my hand gently touch it, hoping to pull it loose.

Wait.

What?

It was his arm. It was his bare body pressed up close behind mine.

Impossible.

"Ka….Kaoru..?" he questioned sleepily, grasping me tighter against him. Was it real then? Was it not a dream?

It couldn't have been a dream. There was no other explanation for both of us to be naked.

Together.

In bed.

I couldn't believe it.

It couldn't be real.

I didn't want to open my eyes.

I couldn't.

"Kaoru?" Hikaru's voice was clearer now. "Are you still napping?"

I didn't respond.

Slowly, he slipped his arm away from me, sitting up and getting out of bed. I listened as he rustled around in our dresser, and then as he opened and closed the bedroom door.

After a moment, I opened my eyes.

Hikaru stared at me from his position on the floor, and upon seeing my eyes open, he grinned.

"I knew you were awake Kaoru. You can't fool me!"

He had gotten dressed, though his hair was still a mess.

My heart soared at seeing him sitting in front of me.

Perhaps it was a dream after all.

I flew out of bed, arms outstretched, and embraced him. Though, I immediately regretted the decision, the bottom half of my body screaming in protest.

I knew I'd be sore, but I didn't realize I'd be this sore.

But God, was it worth it.

"Um...Kaoru..."

I glanced up at Hikaru. His face was bright red and his eyes were looking anywhere but me.

"Do you mind...um...putting on some pants..."

I could feel my checks burn when I realized I was pressing my erection against his stomach. I quickly stood, ignoring my sore muscles, and picked up my pajama pants from the ground, pulling them on just as quickly.

I carefully sat on the bean bag chair next to Hikaru, trying not to cause pain. We both sat in an awkward silence.

"Um...want to play a video game?" I asked, a part of me still feeling this dream might end soon.

"Yeah, that would be cool." he mumbled, turning on the console and handing me a remote.

And, before I knew it, we were kissing again.

Yes, I thought, smiling as he kissed my neck, lacing his fingers through my hair.

Definitely a dream.
