I don't own PJ, blah blah. Sorry I was gone for over a month! Life got in the way, with mid terms and stuff!
They sped to the oracle, and were there pretty fast. They saw no sign of monsters, so they rang the bell. A weird thing thing to do, ring someone's door bell in the middle of the night. Rachel opened the door and groaned.
" Ugh, what are wise guy and the dumb blonde blonde doing here? Do you know what time it is?"
Percy rolled his eyes. " Yep, and we will leave if you want us too. Sorry for coming, you know, to save your life and all. Not like we were doing something important, like sleeping!"
It was Rachel's turn to roll her eyes. " Oh my gods, just come in. My parents got called away on business, so don't worry about them."
They stepped inside and closed the door behind them. They walked into the kitchen. Percy looked at the clock, which read 10:45. " Listen Rachel, we don't have much time. In about and hour, monsters will come attack you. I don't know what their looking for, but we got to be prepared."
Rachel all of the sudden did not seem so upset that Percy, Annabeth and Nico ( Who had been humming the whole time in the background) had come. She gripped the table, and her knuckles were pale. " So,what do we have to do?"
Percy started explaining." Okay, we will all stay down here. I'll hide behind the door, Annabeth, you hide behind those curtains, and Nico-" He looked over at Nico, who wasn't paying much attention. " Nico!" Nico looked up. " Sorry, continue."
Percy kept talking. " Anyway, Nico, blend into the shadows. Rachel, stay out here."
Rachel looked angry. " So what, you're just going to let the monsters tear me to shreds?"
" As much as I would like that, no. We need to find out what they want from you. As soon as we find out, we will spring from our hiding places and attack."
" Whatever, loser."
" On second thought, can't we just let them attack her?"
Annabeth shook her head no.
" Not even for just a little while?" Annabeth glared at a him, and he backed down. " Okay, okay, fine. We'll protect you Rachel."
They came at 11:57.
The three of them were already in their hiding spots, while Rachel sat at the table, trying to stay calm. With a loud crash, the door to her house came down. Rachel picked up her book and started reading it when they came in.
It was to dark to make out some of them, but there were obviously all different types. Rachel, trying to play it off like she wasn't scared, didn't even look up from her book, bu Percy noticed her hand was shaking a little. " Oh, hey guys, what are you doing here so late? Do you need anything?"
One of the empousa's stepped forward. " We want to know what those three pesky demigods are up to."
" You know, I know a lot of demigods, and most of them are pesky. Can you please narrow it down a little, you know like, their hair color, their heritage their-"
"Silence!" The espousa roared. " You know very well who I am talking about! The sea spawn, and his companions! Give us their prophecy!"
" Never!" With this, the monstor's started to move forward, and the clock struck midnight. All of the sudden, Percy yelled, " Now!" And they all jumped out from their hiding places and attacked. Soon, their was only dust on the Dare's kitchen floor.
Rachel let out a sigh of relief. " That was close. Thanks for not letting me die."
Percy nodded. " As much as I would like to, it's not the right thing to do. Now, we need a prophecy."
Rachel nodded. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. When she opened them again, they were glowing green. She started to speak.
" In the gods darkest hour, twelve shall rise,
All bearing the symbol of the dragons eyes.
A powerless camp, they will defend,
And they shall both lose and gain a friend."
Dun, Dun, Dun! What can this mean? If you want to know, review to see the next chapter!
