Chapter 3

I rushed into the house. I rushed past Emily, and didn't even say hi. I got to the small den in the back. I didn't know what to do. My head was swimming with everything. My legs pulled up to my chest I rested my head between my knees. I didn't like this, and I didn't understand.

Embry was a great guy, smart funny. He was my friend. Then he didn't need to say the worlds. I could see into his eyes, and knew why he kept away.

"Louise, can I talk to you?" Embry spoke quietly standing at the door. My eyes shooting up towards him.

"I. yeah sure." I moved my head so I could see him better. He walked cautiously, and then sat down next to me.

"I don't want to break you and Jacob up." He said quickly watching my eyes scan the room avoiding his.

"That's good. Does he know about it?" turning to look into his eyes. Even though all the pack had the same dark eyes. I could tell that Embry's had tiny flecks of green in his eye. When he was in the sun they noticed more.

"No, I spend most my time thinking of things that don't matter like. Homework and swimsuit catalogues." He blushed quickly avoiding my eyes for a brief second. "Do you want Jacob to know?" his voice rough moving a hand to my knee. I stared.

"Do you think it's a good thing to tell Jake?" my eyes watching his thumb play over my kneecap.

"You always answer a question with another question?" raising an eyebrow. His smile bright.

"Ahh but then your answering my question with a question, and I will answer that with a. I don't know." My eyes suddenly aware of the closeness between up.

"Louise. Please can you tell me, how do I tell my best friend? How can I tell him, I imprinted on his girlfriend?" his hand moved off my knee, and his eyes wide and deep for me to see the emotional trouble being around me put him in.

"Embry I'm sorry." Taking his hand lightly, and then placed my other hand on top of his. "I wished..." Embry placed a finger to my lips. It was warm and comforting.

"Louise, it's not your fault. I've never known of this to happen before now."

My eyes kept still on his, and he reached forward brushing a strand of blonde hair out my eyes. Then smiled brightly at me.

"I love Jacob. With everything." My voice dry and he nodded moving from me. I avoided looking back towards him.

The door opened with a creek, and me and Embry's eyes shot to the person standing in the door way.

Jacob rushing towards me, his lips catching mine powerfully. His hands holding onto my face. Placing my hands to his face I lightly pushed him away.

"Louise. I wanted to meet you. What's wrong?" his hands still holding my face searching my eyes for any sign that I was injured.

"I'm fine Jake. I just had." I stop speaking rubbing my temple again. His lips touching my forehead.

"Louise, please tell me?" His eyes catching mine, and I turned to see Embry had left us alone.

"I just see. I see a vampire, and she's mad and wanted to kill something, or some people." My hands lightly trembled and Jacob held them still.

"Louise. No vampire is going to harm anyone here." Then giving a cocky grin. "The Pack won't let anything happen." Then kissing me softly, and I lingered into the kissed holding myself tightly on him.

In the back of my mind, the thought haunted me.

It's The Pack that's in the danger zone.

Pulling apart from Jacob and my eyes caught his. He cupped my face softly in his hands. I smiled small rubbing my eyes.

"The visions that bad?" he asked carefully playing with my hair.

"It's ok. I just wish I could see what happens with us." Jacob kissed my nose quickly.

"I love you, and I am going to be with you forever." His played a thumb over my cheek. I leaned forward kissing him again, a cough caught our attention.

"Jake, we need to take a run around. Some hikers have been going missing." Leah glared to me, and Jacob grunted getting to his feet.

"To be continued." He spoke kissing my cheek, and Leah made a snorting noise leaving, and Jacob followed her.

I sat in the kitchen with Emily watching her baking muffins. She was smiling brightly, and I admired how glowing she was. I then placed my head on the table watching her closely.

"Lou, is there something on your mind?" she asked me quietly, and I raised my eyebrow.

"How you do that?" I lifted my head off the table watching her sit the other side of the table from me.

"I know you Louise, and right now you're worried. I just don't know what." She spoke soft placing a hand to my hand. I bit my lip not knowing what worry to burden her with.

"I don't understand my visions, they confuse me so much." I closed my eyes then opened them again. I didn't know how to put them into words, but then Emily nodded carefully.

"The gift of foresight was conceded one of the most desirable of in most tribe." Emily spoke softly her eyes wide, and I laughed.

"I don't like it, when I can't see what I want to." My hand gripped the table.

"Some things are better not known." She simply said looking to the oven, and then back to me.

"I know, I just." I stopped talking turning to the door. It opened slowly and Sam and Jacob entered. Emily smiled bright when Sam was standing behind her. Jacob sitting with me, and his hand found mine.

"Everything ok?" I asked watching his eyes, and Jacob shock his head.

"Leah is being a bitch again." He said lightly his thumb playing over my hand, and His eyes following mine.

"What happen this time?" I asked softly, and then placed my hands on top of his.

"The same old same old, trying to make our lives less easier." His voice sour, and I nodded then looked to my watch.

"I have to go." I said moving his hands from my face getting to my feet.

"Oh Lou. I haven't spent any time with you today." He sulked watching me stand up. I rolled my eyes.

"I've done my homework, and I also learned how to make muffins. It's a school night, and Charlie is expecting me home." I tried not to look to his eyes. He knew how to make me feel guilty for leaving him. I didn't want to go, but then I wasn't going to rock the boat when it comes to Charlie.

"I'll pick you up from school tomorrow." He said with a grin, I knew what he meant.

"I've got my car, and Charlie would kill you if he heard I was on your motorcycle with you." I giggled, and Jacob nodded.

"Well I'll meet you after school then." He repeated smiling standing in front of me, and his hands holding my waist.

"I love you Jake." Leaning up softly kissing him. Jacob taking full hold of me kissing deeper.

"Guys, really, get a room." Sam laughed with Emily lightly slapping him.

"Night guys, I'll see ya tomorrow." I waved stepping away from Jacob.

"Drive safe." Emily smiled, and Sam then turned to Jacob quick.

"Go with her, after tonight. I don't think it's safe." Sam sounding boss and I knew it means business.

"Ok." Jacob quickly said taking my hand.

"Jake what's going on?" I asked while we walked to the car, Jacob didn't talk. I knew something wasn't right, but I just couldn't put my finger on it.
