Chapter 14

It wasn't easy anymore, and I just sat now on the bed that Alice placed designer pillows. Jacob comes to visit me, and then it felt nice.

Carlisle explained to Charlie, who to some strange reason had understood what had, One, happened to his daughter and two, completely understood of what was happening to me. I mean it must be hard for Charlie to understand his Daughter is a vampire, and his Niece is having visions that are killing her.

Sitting in the living room, I was next to Bella, and Alice while watching a movie about two people who say they didn't love each other, make it clear in the end they were going to be together.

"Lou, would you like a drink?" Alice asked lightly and it was weird my head turning to face her, she was smiling, but then everyone wanted to look happy around me. I knew they was all hiding the fact that didn't want me to let myself die.

"Sure, thanks…" I now watch as Alice quickly went to the kitchen, Bella was watching me closely, but I tried to avoid the burning question, I didn't like the fact that everyone was avoiding the question.

"Bella, are you going to ask? Or am I going to have to die first!" I didn't mean to sound so harsh, but then I was sick of people, well Vampires walking around on egg shells to avoid upsetting me.

Bella cleared her throat, she didn't need to but it was hard for her to shake the human habits. Her eyes meet mine, the Crimson still unsettled me, but it was fading into a dark orange tint she placed a cold hand to mine, her eyes stayed focus. "Lou, do you really want to die, I can get Carlisle and he can turn you, it won't hurt long and you and Jake…" I moved my hand from hers, I started to glare.

"Bella, please. I've made up my mind; I don't want to talk about it no more." I then stared at the flat screen TV and found the bowl of popcorn I was eating and then turned when I heard the door open. It was Jacob; he normally visits about this time. I smiled feeling his warm arms holding me from behind the sofa; Bella didn't say anything while he now lifted me up. Alice handed me the glass of lemonade and Jacob nodded to her as we now headed to my room of the Cullen house.

"Lou, Emily's gone into Labour, she wants you will her…" Jacob said softly holding my face, I gave a small smile.

"Well, you better rush me there!" I now wrapped my arms around his neck feeling him running us out the Cullen's house and we headed back to La Push.

I loved the feeling of the Jacob's body close to mine; I loved the wind pushing my hair back. Most of all, I loved the feeling of being outside, I was free.

We arrived at Emily and Sam's house in no time, but then I could sense that Emily wasn't going to be long to give birth.

Jacob carried me into the small bedroom, I could see Emily panting and her hair stuck to her face. Sam standing beside her as Sue Clearwater was telling her to push.

Emily's eyes meet mine, and she reached a hand for mine and Jacob placed me next to her.

In the small room all the pack managed to squeeze in, and Kim sat the other side of Emily helping her.

"Lou, I'm so happy you're here." Emily finally panted, her hand found mine I gave it a small squeeze and smiled.

"I'm happy to be here, I wouldn't have missed it for the world." I felt the pain in my head starting to throb, not now, please I can't go now.

I now hear Emily push, the baby was coming and I felt Emily's hand tighten in mine.

"Congratulation Sam, Emily, it's a girl." Sue shouted over the loud cry of the new born baby's lungs giving out its first cries.

"Emily, you have a little girl!" Kim said looking to Emily, then glancing to me. Emily's eyes were now wide and everyone's attention went from the new born baby, mother to me.

"Louise, are you ok?" Sam said his tone serious, but I didn't understand until I felt the drip on my bottom lip and now I placed my free hand over my nose knowing this wasn't good, I glance at my fingertips to see I was bleeding.

"Jacob maybe you should take her back to the Cullen's" Emily said softly brushing a free hand not holding her new baby to my face.

"Emily, I don't want to leave." I now felt tears trickling down my cheek, my eyes turning to a blur.

"I know, but you're not well, you need to be looked after." Embry chimed in touching my hair, he was standing behind Jacob, but everyone was thinking the same thing.

They all thought it was the last time I would be seen alive.

Jacob held me tight, his face shook violently. "I don't trust the leeches, I see how they look at her, I feel all their thoughts." His hands were holding me now closer to his chest. "They all want to change her!" Jacob's last words were shaken, his eyes looked red, then I realised he never stayed too far away from me, he was always running around the Cullen house as a wolf. Jacob was protecting me from them.

"But Jacob, Carlisle can look after her, keep her safe." Sue whispered, her eyes kept looking from me, then to Jacob.

I didn't like the fact this was on me, "Please, I think this isn't the time…" my hand lightly brushed the fresh blood off my fingers and then touched the quiet baby's face, Emily smiled looking to the beautiful baby girl.

"We have a baby to be grateful for." I now see Kim hand me a tissue and I wipe the blood from my face. Jacob then turned to look to Sam. "I want Louise to stay here." He then let a tear fall from his eyes. "I love you." He whispered. I kept my eyes locked with his and everyone kept quiet. "Please, baby!" I kissed Jacob's hand then turning to face Emily.

"She's going to be perfect." I now kiss the baby, "You hear me little missy, you are going to be a lovely little girl."
