"Have you really never read the Odyssey?" Dawn's voice was quiet, he could feel her breath on his hair and he adjusted his head on her chest. The book in her hands old and weathered, the pages yellow on the corners.

"Is that the one with the Minotaur?" Ash looked up at her as she laughed, a crooked, pink lipped smile.

"No." She looked back at him, but her tone wasn't sharp, it was soft and sweet. "Here, pick a page and I'll read it to you." She placed it down and Ash fumbled with it one-handedly,

"There!" Ash sighed as he managed to get the book open.

Dawn nodded and he turned his head to gaze back up at her as she began, "In the meantime, our good ship with a friendly breeze to drive her, fast approached the Siren's Isle..." She took a deep breath,

"I think I heard something about this, the Sirens lured the sailors to shore with their songs before they ate them right?" Dawn nodded as Ash's eyes went wide. "Isn't this story one of the greatest love stories?"

Dawn blinked and looked at him, "You're an incurable romantic aren't you?" She grinned as Ash blushed.

"Only with you I guess..." He looked back at the book, "I would never give up.. I will brave the ocean and sail past the Sirens to find my way back to you." His voice went low into a whisper as he cuddled into her.

Dawn smiled gently as she watched him try to turn his face away from her. "Hey Ash?" She moved her hand to his head and gently began running her nails along his hairline. She could feel him relax beneath her hand.

"Yeah?" His voice was quiet.

"No Siren could stand in my way either. I love you." And she waited, watching as he mulled over what she said said, felt the sudden wetness on her sweater.

"I love you too."
