Chapter 3
Encounters and fate-filled decisions

Katara headed straight towards her chambers crashing straight into her bed, feeling weak with eyes ready to erupt. Although her relationship with Aang had never really been official, no one could deny how much she cared about him and the loss of him was overwhelming. But Zuko was right it was the only way to build and maintain peace in the world, it is what Aang would have wanted.
And she could not deny the feelings that had started to stir inside she for the new fire Lord ever since that day in the catacombs. As Aang was a child and could not give her the satisfaction that her body craved, it was Zuko who she thought of in the dark recesses of the nights they spent travelling… Zuko who's touch she craved.
She did care for Zuko, but did he care for her? Could she really be in a cold, loveless relationship forever? But her nation needed the support of the fire nation if it was to survive the stresses of this post war world. Zuko was right, it was the only way.

She turned back around and headed back to Zuko's study.

Heading to his chambers which were connected to his study for convenience, Zuko breathed that could have gone worse. The only way to calm himself down was a quick bath, something about water always seemed to calm him.
Removing his royal attire he stepped into the bath. Only water could sooth him… her element. She was the stark contrast of him, would they get along? Would she ever love him? Would she even agree? The thought of her giving him an heir… she was so motherly, their kids would want for nothing. And he'd enjoy the baby-making process especially. He wondered how it'd feel to have those full pink lips wrapped around his cock and watch her pretty mocha face get covered in his white semen. Or how she'd taste when his tongue licked her hot core. Would she like to be spanked? Agni. His length was extremely hard. Deciding not to masturbate in the shower, Zuko got out and dried himself down with a towel. He walked into his bedroom…

KATARA'S POV

Damn why does this place have to be so big, I think his study is this way. Opening the study doors, I saw no sign of Zuko, but the doors on the other side of the room were open, perhaps that's where he went. I walked across the mahogany study and through the doors…

"Zuko!" I called. "Zuko, there you are. I…" I froze, Yue kill me now.
Zuko was in here alright. Here being his bed chamber! He was naked as the day he was born, sporting a very considerable erection. He looked like one of those stone carvings of the perfect men. He was so toned his abdomen was perfectly chiselled… he was like a god, and the scars somehow made him even sexier. Fuck. I'm staring.
"I- I'm sorry I should have knocked I- sorry", and with that I made my swift departure.

ZUKO'S POV

I need to stop thinking about Katara like this or its going to make for some awkward public meetings, plus she was still my friend.
"Zuko! Zuko, there you are. I…" Katara burst into my room, the object of this painful erection standing just in front of me. Maybe the gods really did like me?
This situation should have been more embarrassing for me, but all I could do was smirk about the look on her face. She bit down on those fucking sexy lips looking me up and down and her mocha skin was flushed. Her eyes finally locked with mine. The desire in her eyes was overwhelming and only made me want her more.
"I- I'm sorry I should have knocked I- sorry" she panted in a sexy rasped voice before she turned to leave.

Shit. That happened…
After taking care of my above averaged sized problem, I dressed and went after her, there was a reason why she had come to my chambers in the first place.

KATARA'S POV

What the hell did I just do? How could I have known that those doors led to his chambers anyways? Shit, shit, shit. He's probably pissed at me. How could a man look so good- he was perfect? Shit Katara think about Aang, being physically attracted to one guy does not remove your feelings for Aang, even if you might marry him. I had funeral plans to go over Zuko could wait.

Later that evening

NORMAL POV

Zuko walked through the long corridors to Katara's bed chambers, he arrived at her door which he had painted blue for her. "Katara" he called.
She opened the door and looked up at him, although she had grown, the scarred fire Lord was still considerably taller than her. "I'm sorry for barging in on you like that earlier, it wasn't proper".
"It's okay Kat I should have closed the door"
"Yeah, how was I supposed to know those doors led to your bed chambers! You should learn to be more careful", Katara lectured. Zuko rolled his eyes, looking slightly amused.

"What did you come to my chambers for before…?" asked Zuko.
"I've decided to accept your offer for a marriage between our two nations, it's the only way for peace", she breathed "Aang would have wanted us to create peace no matter what".
"uhh good, great" responded Zuko almost surprised.
"We can speak more about it after the funeral", Katara said grimly. "Good night Zuko".
"Goodnight".

That night Katara pondered if this decision was the right one, and if it was why did it feel like such a betrayal to Aang?

Yue looked down on Katara, in her room and sang her silent lullaby to help alleviate Katara's fears. For the Gods had decreed what is to be and this union was destiny.
