Ayame finally got off Ren, and was able to stand up. It's probably hard to imagine but Ren has the most ridiculously happiest smile on his face.
"Ayame, it's been like what almost 10 years? What were you up to?" Ren asks.
"Oh you know, just casually training for 10 years hahaa"
"So you're able to use magic too now huh? What type is it? Is it air magic like me? Let's have a battle right now to see who's stronger!" Ren just jumbled out questions out of his mouth.
"Whoa! Slow down Ren! I can only answer one at a time. Umm so I do Dimension magic, where I can control different dimensions. I had to train for 10 years in order to master this magic. And to answer your last question, I can probably take you down in less than 10 seconds."
Ren smirked hearing her challenge, but decided not to take her challenge just yet.
"So, you're done with your training. What are you going to do next? Are you going to join a guild? If you are Blue Pegasus will always welcome you."
Ayame gave a pondering look, but smiled. "A very tempting offer indeed. Buuut I've been having a different guild in my mind for a while." Ayame spoke while turning her gaze to Gray.
She continued to gaze at him until Gray understood what she meant. Gray smirked and opened his mouth. "Just to let you know, Fairy Tail is a crazy guild. We got fights going on everyday, and if you're willing to take that on, you're welcome to join Fairy Tail."
Ayame gave a huge smile, "Fights are my specialty, and I'm honored to be able to be part of a interesting guild!"
Ayame and Gray were sending messages to each other through eye contact. Soon all conversation ceased, and it created a weird atmosphere in the room.
Ren broke the silence, "So did you come all the way over here to tell me that? Is there anything else you want to tell me?"
Ayame closed her mouth as if she stopped herself from saying something, "Mmmm….nothing to tell you in public. Maybe later when we're alone together?"
Ren immediately understood what she wanted to talk about. Understanding her feelings, Ren gave the okay and dropped that subject for now.
"Well if there's nothing else to say here, let's head down and grab something to eat cuz I'm starving!" Ren grinned thinking about food.
Ayame started grinning too, thinking about what kind of food they had at Blue Pegasus. Suddenly Ayame stopped and whipped towards Gray.
"You told me you had something to do here. What is it?" Ayame questioned.
Gray leaned against the wall and said, "I was asked by our master to deliver a message to master Bob." Gray fished out an envelope with a magical seal on it.
"If you handsome motherfuckers can lead me to Master Bob to deliver this message, I would be grateful." Gray grinned at the end of his sentence.
Sensing Gray's hostility, the Trimens lined up and gave a snap. Suddenly all of the lights turned off again, except a single spotlight at Hibiki.
"I can see very well that you don't like us, but there's no need for foul language here. There is a lady in this room." Looking towards Ayame.
Little did they know, Ayame cussed worse than a sailor. Ayame gave a polite smile towards Hibiki thinking how ignorant this kid was.
Hibiki again spoke, "However, I will lead you to Master Bob because it seems to be important. But after you do so, we would like you to leave immediately. Except for Ayame-chan because she is our lovely guest."
Gray couldn't stop his anger from rising. "I am not stupid enough to leave Ayame here with a bunch of perverted host fellows."
Ren interrupted Gray's speech with a stern voice, "If it's okay with you Gray, I would like to catch up with my little sister, whom I have not seen for 10 years. After I get to chat with her, I will make sure she goes back to Fairy Tail safely."
Gray noticed Ren's sincerity, and decided to let her stay with Ren.
Ayame was so giddy she ran up to Gray and gave him a big thank you hug. "Thank you so much Gray! I promise I'll be back by tonight. I just really want to talk to my brother. It's really important."
Gray hugged her back and let her go. I mean she traveled all the way from who knows where just to see her brother again. Seeing Ren and Ayame together made him remember the time when he was training with Lyon. Gray gave a small smile, and left the room with Hibiki and Eve.
Ayame was finally alone with Ren. After everybody left the room, things got uncomfortably quiet. They decided to sit on the lovey dovey red cushiony couch. He served her some orange juice, and put his arm around his shoulder.
Ren spoke, "You grew so much I didn't recognize you. I left when you were like 6?7?8? You were so cute then following me everywhere I went." Ren laughed out loud.
Seeing her brother laugh made Ayame remember all the good times they had together when they were young. But the happy memories reminded her of the bad memories. Her dad.
Ayame removed Ren's arm from her shoulder. She looked up into Ren's eyes.
"The thing I wanted to talk to you about. Well…it's about my dad. After you left the house things went crazy…"
Hearing the tone of sadness in her voice made him realize how bad the situation was. "How's mom? Is she doing fine?"
Ayame looked down and gripped her hands. "That's the thing. Mom's dead."
