I own nothing. Hope you enjoy
Snape's POV
Who were those two? The Headmaster needs to be informed right away. I walked quickly to Dumbledore's office passing students as they rushed to class. Luckily I caught him before he left his office. "Headmaster, I need a word with you." I intoned quietly even though we were the one's there. He nodded and waved me in.
"Severus, what is it?" He walked to his chair and lowered himself gracefully despite his age. I explained what I had seen and by the time I finished his face adopted a look of concentration.
"You are positive that you could not see their faces?" He asked urgently.
"Yes." I replied testily.
The Headmaster stood up. "They haven't posed a threat to any of the students so for now we should keep this between us. We do not need them to panic on the first day."
I nodded and stood as well. "I'm sure your class is waiting for you Severus." The dismissal was clear and stepped out of the room pulling the thick door shut behind me.
Draco's POV
I can't believe that I am finally here at Hogwarts! It is just like Dad and Godfather told me. I can't wait for the potions class as it is the only one I have with Harry Potter and godfather.
Harry is not what I expected; he looks like he doesn't know the first thing about magic. I will have to find out why later. Good thing Alfred is good friend with Potter. There is just something about him that screams magical.
I finally arrived at my first class. Just before I enter the room, I saw my Godfather. He motioned me to come near.
I walked over to him. "Listen, while I was walking the halls I walked into two people. They had scythes and dark robes." I stood stunned. Hogwarts was supposed to be the safest place on Earth for us, and someone has broken in.
I know a scythes was nothing compared to magic, but still, us students would have trouble defending ourselves, especially the first years. "All I know is they are a boy and girl. The girl has brown hair and is named Brooke." Severus finished looking vaguely worried.
"How did you get the girl's name?" I asked confused.
"The girl told me her name." Sev said frowning contemplatively.
I don't blame him. The girl just gave away her name. If she was an intruder, she might be trying to throw Snape off of her scent, but why would she have spoken so candidly to him.
"Don't worry too much about this. All you need to do is look out for the name and anyone looking like that. If you do see them, come to me and don't approach them." My Godfather looked me straight in the eyes when he told me this. I nodded. He ruffled my hair and walked into his classroom with me trailing in behind him.
The Sorting Hat's POV
Well this is going to be an interesting 7 years. Nations in the school. I have never heard of them before and from their memories it is no surprise. Many magical beings do not know they exist. I played it cool but on the inside I was panicking, excessively when I was first put on. I was rushed with the memories of so much horrible things.
No child, no mortal should have been through that and still be sane. I will not be telling the Headmaster this not only did I make a promise but this is a secret that should be kept. The knowledge they know is vast and scary. Alfred's is quite scary.
In nation years, he is a child but he has grown into the world super power. That is a reason why I put him in Gryffindor. Not only his obsession with heroes makes him a good Gryffindor but the world relies on him. Harry is going to have the world on his shoulders if the Headmaster's prediction is right. Alfred would understand what Harry is going through. Those 4 were tough to sort. They been/ seen so much that could have went to any house. Alfred was the most perfectly balance. There has been kids in the past that could have been to any house but they had a preference of a trait. Alfred had no preference. He used the trait when it was needed or all at once. I hope the nations' mission goes well.
America's POV
Well, here it is my first magic class. I just hope I don't look too scared. I went inside and saw a man who was very short and had pointed ears; I assumed he was Professor Flitwick.
The man looked up. "Oh, looks like you are the first one to arrive. My name is Filius Flitwick and I am the professor for Charms. I am also the Head of the Ravenclaws." He said with a bow. I nodded and went over to sit down. He continued stacking and organizing the books on top his desk.
A few other students came in but no one I knew. The professor was finished stacking books and glanced at me." You had a very long sorting; the longest I have ever witnessed. Were you arguing with hat or was the hat having a hard time placing you." He said curiously. He also kept his voice low so the other students did not here.
"He had a hard time placing me in a house." I said quietly.
He nodded, "Which houses was he stuck on?" He asked in the same tone as before.
Luckily, Harry and Ron walked in so I waved grabbing their attention. "Hey guys, glad you made it to class, but I made it here first." I said running towards them.
The professor just laughed at went to stand on the pile of books he had arranged. Hopefully he will not ask me any more questions.
Flitwick's POV
A new year of school. I am always excited to teach the first years. This year's sorting was very interesting, not only did Harry Potter come but four strange students. Three of them have citizenship outside of the British Isles and there is very little information on them. If I hadn't seen them at the sorting, then I would say they never existed.
I mean, muggles would have an easy time finding more information magic than for us find any scrape of information on those four.
Well, time to start class. Just need to make sure everyone is here. I was doing okay until I got to Harry Potter's name. I will admit I got a bit excited when I read off his name.
"Oh my god it is Harry Potter. The kid everyone saw get sorted into Gryffindor. He is on a class for the first year Gryffindors. Who would have guessed that?" Said a sarcastic voice. I realized I was out of sight. I went back onto the books. I looked around and saw Alfred with a deadpan face and everyone looking at him. I took a wild guess as to who had spoken.
"Sorry about that everyone and Alfred thank you for the comment." I said with a smirk. He went wide eyed and then mumbled at bit. I am going to assume he said sorry.
"Today we are going to work on controlling your magic." I said going into teacher mode. I was met with confused looks. "For doing any spell, you need to be able to control your magic and make it go where you want." People nodded at this. "You might also have to do this for an extended period of time. Right now take your wands out and focus on making your magic come out and make a ball shape." The students pulled out their wands.
Everyone except Alfred started doing what I asked. He looked fine but his hand on his wand looked to rather tight and he seemed to be taking silent deep breathes. I wonder what is wrong.
But before I could ask I saw his magic come out so I dropped it for now but I will bring this up for the teacher meeting later today. Everyone is doing fine.
Most of the balls are what I expected them to be; Potter and Ron Weasley's magic are larger than normal. Which is understandable. Potter's parents were very powerful and the Weasley's have all had a larger magic energy than normal.
Alfred is the other one that is weird. His magic is still so small. It was the same as when I first saw it.
"Alfred you need to put more magic in there." I said after walking over to him. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
The ball pulsed before growing; it continued to grow until it was biggest in the room. I think it would have grown even larger but Ron yelled out causing Alfred to lose focus. "Wow that is big!"
The ball spread out in the room. The students were going "Oh" at the magic. I, on the other hand, was worried. I can sense magic and that magic held a lot of fear. I wondered why but I could also sense that it was not the time to ask.
Nevile's POV
Alfred's magic was so cool! I wonder how big it would have gotten if Ron hadn't said anything. There was one other thing I was wondering.
"Hey Alfred, why did you have to close your eyes?" I whispered to Alfred, but Ron and Harry heard. They looked at Alfred "Yeah, why is that?" Harry asked both quietly and politely.
Alfred sighed, "I have no idea." he said defeatedly. Harry, Ron and I looked at him incredulously. Alfred raised his hands in a placating gesture while shrugging. "It's the truth." He said defensively.
Ron opened his mouth and drew a breath, but Professor Flitwick beat him to the punch. "Open your books to page 3 to learn about the basics of magic" The Professor pulled out his own copy and turned to the correct page, ending the conversation.
The class quieted and the shuffle of papers and soft flicking of pages eventually died down. The Professor began his lecture, but I found my mind wandering. I really want to know what happened with Alfred, but I am scared to anger he'll become defensive again. Why did the hat put me here? I am not brave at all. One person gets angry and I curl up in submission!
America's POV
These people are going to be questioning me a lot. Hopefully, I'll be able to fake lie; it will make me look innocent when I actually do need to lie.
Sorry for it being so long but school and I got sick.
